Yelp
Good Stuff Corktown brings a modern take to the old-time neighborhood general store. The experience you get here that isn't offered at corporately owned hypermarkets makes it worth the visit. The owners are friendly and interact with their customers.
Much of the merchandise is locally sourced, like grass-fed beef from Marrow in Detroit's West Village, pierogi's from Pietrzyk Pierogi at Gratiot Central Meat Market, pasta from Mamma Mucci's in Canton, milk from Calder Dairy & Farm in Lincoln Park, breakfast sausage from Byron Center Meats near Grand Rapids, and Michigan Farm to Freezer produce from local farmers. It's amazing what can be found right in this area that doesn't require being shipped across the country from a factory farm.
Besides foodstuffs, there are locally made candles and skincare products and, if you come early, pastries as well. This is really "good stuff" that can't be found at most grocery stores.
It's too bad more people outside of Corktown don't know about this store, but hopefully, my review will bring in more customers. It's on the same block as Ottava Via and several other restaurants, so stop by when dining in the area.
