Update: we’ve returned to try its Italian fares. We had the truffle pizza and the Cajun chicken penne (okay, so they were pseudo Italian fares). Both were quite tasty and filling. The service was excellent and the sitting area was quiet and comfortable. We stopped for a quick lunch and it was enjoyable. The menu featured basically an All-American choices, and I opted for its Southern Fried Chicken with leg and thigh. It was well flavored, but just a tad overcooked. The fresh carrots and asparagus were good and plentiful and as was its mash potato. The highlight of our lunch was our server, Lindsey, who was full of energy, friendly and attentive. Thanks!

Located inside Casino Morongo... oh, did we have a tasty breakfast! They have a dedicated breakfast menu that serves until 11 am and then an all-day breakfast as well. My mom and I shared the Cinnamon French Toast.... oh, were those good... only served till 11am, though... and the carnitas omelet. Both were excellent!

We had a wonderful experience at Good Times Cafe! The food was absolutely delicious. The sweet and sour crispy shrimp was amazing—perfectly cooked with a perfect balance of flavors. The fried chicken with veggies and mashed potatoes was incredibly tasty, with the chicken crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The wet steak burrito was hearty and filling, packed with savory goodness. Our waitress, Wendy, was super friendly and courteous, making our meal even more enjoyable. Overall, it was a fantastic dining experience, and we can’t wait to return!

Google
The atmosphere and setting is relaxed and comfortable. With multiple tvs showing live sports. Our waitress was excellent. She was fast, friendly, and anticipated our needs perfectly. She made our experience great. The fish and chips were fresh, tasty and affordable. The Cobb Salad was fresh, filling and very flavourful. We will be back. But I cannot stress enough, our server made the experience great.

Google
Good Times Café at Morongo is a solid quick-stop option inside the casino. The food is fast, fresh, and hits the spot—especially if you’re looking for burgers, fries, or breakfast all day. The portions are generous, and service is usually quick, even during busy hours. It’s nothing fancy, but it’s dependable and convenient when you want a bite without leaving the gaming floor. Great for a casual meal or late-night snack. Definitely one of the better food court choices at Morongo.

Google
Manager made a rude comment about getting there a bit past the waiting time. Host and server’s were friendly. Food had good presentation but bland and warm.

Google
'Good Time Cafe' caterers to vegetarians as well as plenty of choices from the menu to have. My flavorful Veggie Burger with french fries were delivered warm. One of guess had the Angus Burger to his request. The other one of our guess ordered Spaghetti and Meatballs. Our food presentation was done well. It was an overall satisfied first experienced. We have enjoyed chatting with their server and the host. Come try!

Google
Over the weekend was headed To La Quinta and was hungry so i googled this place and decided to try it. It was very pleased , service was fast, the coffee was perfect, the food was very good and it was a 10/10 all around. Believe the other reviews you read they aren’t exaggerating . When I ask for a steak to medium and it’s not it bugs me and they got their steak perfectly medium. Tells me their kitchen team knows what’s up , lol.

Yelp
This place hits the spot every single time, we sit at the bar, no waiting in line. Bar server's are super friendly and its full menu. Food is enough to share. We started with crispy shrimp and a lot of shrimp on the plate, finish with chicken sandwich with sweet potatoes fries. Inside can be loud not to bad Then we had breakfast large portions, chicken fried steak, biscuit and gravy, two egg over easy and I had to get an order of spam, delicious. But it got cold pretty fast, with the temperature inside the restaurant

Paul P.

Yelp
Food: Fish Tacos could of been better but, not bad. Pizza Suprema nice crunch on the crust, Ciabatta Beef Dip lots of meat very good. Chicken Quesadilla lots of chicken real good also washed all down with Tropical Tea Service: Excellent Ambiance: Nice n load it's a casino

Elaine T.

Yelp
Good food and excellent service for a restaurant inside a casino hotel. Ordered a club sandwich to go and had breakfast several times here during my stay. The club sandwich was big enough for 2 and included a nice salad (or fries). The breakfast was a very generous portion with lots of carbs to soak up any excess alcohol from the previous night... The eggs were done as requested and the coffee was decent. A good option for a breakfast before leaving or a lunch after arrival.

Rena K.

Yelp
We were in the Thousand Palms area visiting customers and decided to stop by the Good Times Cafe inside of Morongo Casino to try something different for lunch. The food was so tasty! We had Sweet & Spicy Shrimp and the Turkey Club Sandwich. Let me tell you, both were so delicious! The Sweet & Spicy Shrimp had a bed of Asian style salad, omg, so tasty! The sandwich was fantastic and made with fresh ingredients. The service was outstanding. If you're in the area stop by and grab a bite to eat! Just because they're located in a casino doesn't mean you need to gamble but if that's your thing, hey, you might win a few bucks!

Nicolas J.

Yelp
Casino dining done right. Located inside of morongo casino. I was happy they had both craps and blackjack as options at this casino hence my trip from Los Angeles / Orange County. Tried the chicken parm myself, sampled some of the fries and burger of my dining companion. Service was quick even with a slight line outside for the seating. Staff was attentive quick and it wasn't too loud compared to some casinos dining areas which was a nice mental break from the casino craziness for a second. I'll be back for the food as well as the gambling lol

Yelp
February 2025 " Good Times Cafe " My wife had her Birthday a few days ago and wanted to go to Morongo Casino to play and to have dinner at the" Good Times Cafe ". Morongo Casino has many places to eat, but one of the nicest places is the "Good Times Cafe ".

Yelp
Good times ahead at Good times cafe? Let's find out! My friends and I met up here for light snacks and some drinks. It's a cafe located towards the end of Morongo. I like that it is close enough to the action near the slot machines but also far enough that you can steer away and catch up with friends over a nice cocktail. We checked in and took our seats at the bar due to the restaurant at full capacity. As we walked towards are seats, you will immediately notice that it is very racing and biker themed, very cool actually! Menu - They have quite an extensive menu - from classics to burgers to soups to salads to a T bone steak to cocktails to draft beers. I wasn't very hungry so I got myself a clam chowder, garlic breadsticks, and an 805. Perhaps the bartender didn't hear me the first time but she forgot to put in my soup so I waited quite long for my clam chowder. However, when it came out, it was fresh and delicious! Garlic breadsticks was ok. 805 is a nice draft and it came out in a frosty Pilsner glass. This place has good vibes and I'm a fan, as long as you remember to put in my order :)

Yelp
As soon as I arrived, our server/bartender Lindsay greated us and recommended the drink for the month. The drink was delicious and refreshing and paired perfectly with my Cajon chicken pasta. We were in a rush and Lindsay was accommodating with a to go drink and making sure we recieved our food on time. Definitely will be coming back.

Marlon J.

Yelp
Black and Bleu Burger. Delicious. Fries are seasoned already no need to ask. Fast and friendly service. Highly recommend. I've also tried the chicken Caesar salad and club sandwich also recommend those as well.

Yelp
Came here after visiting the beautiful Joshua Tree National park. First visit. We were all so very hungry after a long day hike in the nature and the 90 min drive in the night. We wanted to try the buffet but the wait time was another 90 min, you needed to make a reservation for the buffet so avoid the extra wait. Two of my friends ordered the steak plate and the fish and fries and the rest of us all had the salmon dishes. I had the salmon salad which was palatable. The grilled salmon dish with the mash potatoes and mushrooms was surprisingly good! It's always a pleasure to dine at the casinos restaurants. The food is good, the sitting areas are spacious. The servers are friendly. Nice stop on our way home. We fed our eyes, minds, souls, and our stomachs in a one-day long trip.

Jenna R.

Yelp
This place has horrible service... if I could give this place a zero, I would. I used to love coming here, but it has gone downhill dramatically. I thought I could look past the service for the food, but the food isn't worth the hassle of the horrible host

Steve W.

Yelp
Nice undercover brother here. Looks like a typical cafe off the casino floor but whoa daddy, the food rocks. We shared a pizza and a French dip sandwich. The pizza was well cooked and had a sprinkle of Parmesan over the top to add sparkle. The French dip was massive and tender. We replaced our side dish with sweet potato fries, and that was a great option. They were crispy and cooked perfectly to as well. What I'm trying g to say is, feel free to just roll on here when you are at the Morongo casino. The food is A+ and our server Oswaldo was a gem.

Priscilla K.

Yelp
Super clean and the staff and management are all attentive. Someone came to our table every 10 minutes to see if we needed anything. We shared the Prime rib steak and Cajun chicken pasta. Substituted the Penne pasta for spaghetti noodles. Both dishes were pretty tasty / flavorful. Sadly, the Pasta was a bit salty. Next time, will ask them to make it with less salt. The star off was bc the pasta was too salty. Took it home though. Added more pasta and pasta water. Surprisingly it came out so good!

Deborah B.

Yelp
Great food. We had the jalapeño burger and the chicken wings. Both were great. We got a free anniversary mug. Our server was friendly and helpful, too. Thanks Cynthia.

Jude H.

Yelp
Not sure why this place has high reviews... but I am willing to give this place another chance. I would NOT recommend the pizza. Very salty and greasy. The prime rib is good. Service is good. I did notice the manager greeting every table and asking how everything was except our table. I am not assuming anything though. Just something I noticed. If I were to try this place again, I would try their breakfast items.

Greg x.

Yelp
Very good food and service. Breakfast was really good, sat in the bar area to watch the Dodgers game, our waitress, who was also the bartender, was completely on point. Had my birthday dinner there too. I had the filet mignon, which was covered in a red wine Demi glacé, and it came with creamy mashed potatoes, baby asparagus and carrots. The filet was a good size, I'd guess around 8 ounces.

Freddy D.

Yelp
Been going here when we are in the desert, they have a nice menu including an all day breakfast. The food is always good and the Employees are all friendly and provide efficient service, it's a nice designed fairly large restaurant. It's located in Morongo casino back by the pool, in fact there are tables outside also. Just a warning their pancakes are huge.

Marine A.

Yelp
Good Times Cafe has the best food. I absolutely love the fish tacos and it is my go to order here. This time I also tried the sweet and spicy shrimp which was also amazing. Hubby had the Chipotle pasta and he liked it. The drinks were great too. We sat at the bar because wait was too long to be seated, but that worked out great for us. The bartender/server was really nice and they all were smiling and happy to be there. Good times!

Myleen L.

Yelp
The service was very poor. We noticed other tables getting their food before us, even though we ordered earlier. The only times the staff came to our table were to take our order, drop off the food, and bring the bill. We also ask for some stuff and she forgot about it, food just sitting by the counter for a while with no one bringing it out. Overall, it felt like the service was inattentive and disorganized.

Abraham F.

Yelp
Great food and excellent service . The ambiance is very nice with a bar in the center and nice chairs and high tables . Highly recommend the prime rib or chicken Parmesan.

Sacheen

Yelp
As always, Good Times with family. Sunday breakfast, great way to get the week started! Service was excellent!

Meriya W.

Yelp
Ate here twice during my stay at the casino hotel. First time we ate inside the restaurant second time we ordered to go to be eaten in our room. Our server was nice and attentive when we sat in the restaurant to eat. The place was very clean as well. Our food eating inside the restaurant was perfect. Everything was flavorful and tasted great. Highly recommend the breadsticks they came with this delicious garlic butter. The marinara had a funny taste. Burger was big enough to split. Chicken strips were a little spicy so if you aren't into spicy just be aware. Friends we were with ordered the calamari and loved it. Then they ordered the French dip with sweet potato fries and the southern fried chicken that came with mashed potatoes and veggies. They were happy, I tried the sweet potato fries and they were a bit soggy. Our last night of our stay we ordered to go and ordered the burger and fries again which was perfect. I ordered the southern fried chicken meal as my friend did earlier in the stay. It was a bit spicy which was ok but the second piece of chicken was very burnt. Mashed potatoes were good and some of the carrots were a little hard. I wouldn't order it again. We also ordered the chocolate cake that tasted way more like dark chocolate which was not advertised. Tasted so bitter you had to eat around the frosting. All in all it was ok but not that good for the price.

Lorri D.

Yelp
We have eaten here twice and each visit was very different from the other. First visit, soooooo nice!! We sat at the bar and had great conversation with down to earth bartenders, got some free fries with our Morongo points. Such a cool vibe. We were all smiles throughout our whole dinner. We aren't drinkers so for the bartenders to give us attention was very much a plus, not only did they give us attention they were just super friendly all around. However, 2nd visit when we came for dinner, we sat at a table. Our waitress was nice enough. The cooks did mess up on our burgers so I bit into a 1/2 bloody patty (I ordered medium) and my husband bit into burger "jerky" basically (he ordered medium rare). When the guy dropped off our orders, he just plopped them down and quickly left, didn't ask if we needed ketchup for our fries or anything else. This really wouldn't have been all that bad but our waitress was nowhere to be seen for quite a while. We sat waiting for ketchup, Morongo sauce and drink refills for a good 10 minutes. Very frustrating. And no, the restaurant wasn't super busy. I'd say we'd go back because we do know that the food is good, fries are EXCELLENT. I think our second visit was an off night, hoping so. Wish we'd have had a different waitress, other than that, not too shabby. Seriously, those fries though......

Yelp
Had breakfast at Good Times Cafe yesterday morning. I had been here once before, a couple of years ago for dinner and had a good experience. This time was good as well. The restaurant is laid back and casual, and offers a variety of options for breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as a bar. Our server was so friendly and made a great recommendation- the machaca breakfast. It was delicious! It had a very homemade taste, and came with golden, crispy potatoes, a side of tasty salsa, and beans with a thick slice of queso fresco. The tropical tea was just how I like it too! While staying at Morongo we tried to dine at a variety of their restaurants, and my husband and I both agreed this breakfast was the best meal we had there!

Kim R.

Yelp
This was one of the restaurants inside Morongo Casino (see previous review). We decided on here for dinner because we wanted a sit-down place. {Versus Wahlburgers where you order at the counter}. I got the club sandwich. It was tasty. My friends liked what they got as well.

Josh D.

Yelp
Joe the bartender was both attentive and friendly. He kept the beverages flowing in a timely matter.

Renee S.

Yelp
We went here for lunch on a Friday afternoon. It is located inside the Morongo casino. Getting there can be a little tricky, we actually drove by the first entrance to the casino by accident... lucky for us, the restaurant was right inside the second entrance we chose. We parked outside for free. The actual inside gave off diner vibes which made me question the quality of the food, but I'm glad I was wrong! The queso dip... get that and thank me later. That dip was enough for 4-5 people. We took the leftovers home and it held up well in the microwave the next day. The clam chowder was just ok, and the drinks were weak. My cosmo was more juice than anything. Fish and chips were good, loved that they came with vinegar (east coasters unite!). The fries were clearly housemade and awesome Our waitress was simply the best.

Dave F.

Yelp
Slow Times Cafe. Not a very good time here. Food was surprisingly much better than I anticipated from a casino. Actually Service was somewhat nonexistent. Extremely slow 11:30am few patrons. Ambiance is nice and clean no cigarette smells. Maybe weekends would be different than weekdays.

Marina H.

Yelp
The worst prime rib I have ever had. Needed a hacksaw to cut. Very disappointed I will never eat here again. Mashed potatoes okay.

Gary L.

Yelp
Oh God, this place is terrible. Surprised, considering it being part of Morongo Resort. Ambiance is loud, super bright with lights. Not pleasant. Really random parties, with families and kids. Food was well, average, toward bellow. I'm honestly surprised by how bad is it...I couldn't wait to get the check and get out. However, our waitress was very nice, professional and prompt. So service was no issue.....So sorry, not back here.......

Nathan V.

Yelp
We were coming back late from OC so decided to pop in here. Residual because of the time at night it was but I think it's my second or third time being here. It's a pretty straightforward place. Never been here when it's busy which is a good thing so always had an attentive waiter. The ambience is nice when it's not busy. Where we sat the tables are a little more spaced out so you had some privacy, well not like it mattered. Sure they can't really hear you over the sound from the casino. They do have tvs so imagine if there is a game it gets busy and no one leaves but their menu has stuff to keep them snacking on or a full meal. The food was really good and a good portion. Of course everything is a little bloated in price, so for a simple meal you are looking at $20-40 depending on drink and if you get an appetizer, per person. But of course if you are there for a sit down casual dining while in the casino, this is where it is at. I wouldn't go out of my way to go here, but it'll be the first place I think of to eat if I'm at the casino, no complaints.

Laura H.

Yelp
Honestly one of the best burgers I have ever had. They were fast to seat us and the service was fast. But maybe too fast. I would go to ask for something and the server was already walking away. Other than that the burger was amazing. I would definitely say try the burgers and fries.

Craig M.

Yelp
The worst pizza I've ever had. Raw dough and very greasy. Our server also had the personality of a wet sponge. Go to the food court instead...better food and atmosphere.

Ariel L.

Yelp
Food was fabulous, the service was great, the atmosphere was inviting. We went there 3 times during our stay. My only gripe? My last meal was the BBQ burger cooked medium and I got it well done. That would be fine but Shannon's attitude was... not? I asked if we could get a cocktail menu and she seemed annoyed that I asked. She also seemed annoyed that I asked which drink was the sweetest. She walked away while telling me it's each person's preference (a real literal head turning conversaion. Like, I'm still talking to you.) I asked if I "could possibly get the blackberry margarita" and she looked and said "Possibly?" I responded asking for the blackberry margarita again without using the word "possibly". If I wanted a grammatical shaming teacher moment, I'd go back to grade school. It gave "can i go to the bathroom" vs "may I go". Ma'am. Stop. I'm trying to eat, not get shamed. I couldn't look at her afterwards and that wasn't a fun moment. I regret tipping, but the food was still good. Hopefully it's split fairly. 5 stars because I'm not letting one bad experience discredit the other 2.

Sakol M.

Yelp
While walking around Morongo, thought this place would be good for breakfast since the other restaurants don't open until 11am on a Sunday morning. It's a big wide spaced dining establishment with a long round bar in the middle and an Easy Rider chopper on display to the right as you walk in. I sat across from the chopper. I ordered the biscuits and gravy with extra gravy. Service was slow, but my dish arrived with not much gravy. I asked the waiter for more gravy and she obliged. Nice service. The extra gravy made the difference. I mixed the two sunny side up eggs along with the biscuits and extra gravy. Pretty good, compared to other biscuits and gravy dishes I've had. I might come back here again, but there's other restaurants at Morongo I'd rather check out.

Marcos N.

Yelp
This place is inside Morongo casino and it's absolutely delicious. Customer service is also amazing. The atmosphere is super chill and good vibes for sure. Great job

John R.

Yelp
Everything went well. The kitchen was very clean. The bathrooms were cleaned. The service was great. The food was amazing.

Michael W.

Yelp
Really good food & service exceeding expectations especially for a cafe in a casino. The quality of food & drinks is more like what one would expect to get in a nice sit down restaurant instead of a typical casual eatery that cafe is often associated with. The place is clean with a good vibe all around. And also loves the fact that there's no waiting and plenty of seating with friendly and prompt service. Worth noting that this cafe also has a full bar with nice selections to satisfy anyone's alcoholic libations desire. The salmon salad has a perfectly grilled and nicely seasoned salmon which is crisp on the outside and juicy on the inside. The greens are lightly coated in mild dressing of subtle yet flavorful lemon vinaigrette. The Asian salad that my friend ordered looks epic and colorful. Judging from the fact that the plate is cleaned empty at the end of our meal tells me that it must be quite yummy as well. Will definitely come back next time we're in the area or passing through. As a nice bonus, there are a few EV fast charge stations on the 4th floor of the clean & spacious parking structure. Really lives up to its name of Good Times Cafe as we have had nothing but good times there!

Gelz T.

Yelp
The food, the service, and the ambiance are amazing! Keep it up! All different kind of dish was very satisfied with my partner.

Will H.

Yelp
Stopped in for an early dinner on Thursday, and it was pretty much of an epic fail: 1. Coffee was not hot 2. Fries were grossly overcooked. 3. Turkey Club sandwich on sourdough was super stale. What is wrong with the chefs in this place, as there are constant ongoing issues (like cooking prime rib on the flat top or grossly undercooking the pasta) Is there any oversight by management? I should have gone to the chicken place or Panda Express in the food court or to Mosen nearby. The only reason I did not give a 1-star review was due to the good service by a young Black lady.....

M M.

Yelp
We had lunch here on our anniversary because we were in the area. It was... fine. My husband liked his club sandwich enough but the fish in my fish n' chips was very dry. Service was also very lacking. The place was nearly empty (it was a Wednesday) but the service was painfully slow and refills on drinks were hard to come by. Maybe during a busier time of day things would have actually been better? It wasn't the worst experience but I can't imagine why'd we ever really go back though.

Eden M.

Yelp
Perfect breakfast spot! Great service! The portions are perfect! The menu has so many options! Atmosphere was awesome! Loved the motorcycle to look at!

My W.

Yelp
We sat at the bar right before a comedy show and it was exactly like my ex, quick & easy. The "fancy" place was booked so we just walked right in, sat down, drank, and ate. Super convenient, laid back, good food and drinks. Service was great. Nothing to rave about but also... not gonna be writing home to mom either. Hit the mark. Did its job.

Lili H.

Yelp
This cute café is located inside Morongo Casino, so access is kinda complicated if you can't or don't want to walk. Parking is far and the place is located in the back of the Casino. The ambiance is really nice, it has a full bar, good coffee and full menu until midnight. What did we have? Shrimp Asian salad and California style eggs. Both dishes delicious Great service inside a cool atmosphere. Lovely place, I'll be back if in the casinom

Kristan V.

Yelp
Food was so good, both breakfast and lunch items. Holly was our server, she was attentive and friendly. Portions were big and delicious.

Esmeralda R.

Yelp
All plates were good service was great. It's a big restaurant with lots of space with a nice bar area and big TV's

Sarah Q.

Yelp
A fantastic night out was enhanced by the excellent service from Traci. You call tell she enjoys her job and knows it well. Top notch burger and beef dip. We'll be back.

Crystal D.

Yelp
I don't typically write reviews for casino cafes because, well, it's a casino cafe. I don't have high expectations. BUT this place is definitely an exception. It was my second time here. The first time I ate here, I ordered breakfast and sat at the bar. Since it was a positive experience I sat at the bar but ordered lunch. The service was good and everything we ordered was delicious. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the chips had a few pieces of chicharron. It's like finding onion rings in your fries or vice versa - small life pleasure. Beware the grilled jalapeños as they can be very spicy.

Curtis L.

Yelp
This place is so-so. We were told that we would have a table in 20-30 minutes. It took 90 minutes to get a seat. The food is not great for the price. None of us particularly enjoyed any of the variety of dishes that were ordered. Specifically, the fish and chips were highlighted in yelp reviews, so we ordered those. The fish was very chewy, and the server said that the type of fish is "white" and can vary day to day. Ambience is loud and bright, like a mellow sports bar. We were happy that the smell of cigarettes didn't waft in, given that it's open to the casino, but we're not particularly impressed.
