"Goodberry’s is truly a Raleigh staple, and the frozen custard is the perfect base for its famous Carolina concrete. Mix-in toppings include usual suspects like Oreos, strawberries, chocolate chips, and walnuts. The result is a thick, decadent treat. Plus, it’s fresh: Goodberry’s churns a new batch of custard on site every hour at all nine locations." - Catherine Currin

Google
I ordered the vanilla custard with strawberries and brownies in the mini cup and it was AMAZING. Highly recommend mixing their vanilla with any kind of topping really. I originally ordered the Cinnamon Chocolate Chip custard (flavor of the day), but they unfortunately ran out, so they were kind enough to provide either a refund or a completely different custard. They are also super accommodating for nut allergies which is greatly appreciated. Great place for post-dinner sweet treat!

Google
I stopped in to have a late night treat. It was so busy and the two workers were doing everything they could to serve everyone and keep the machines/dishes clean/sanitary as they went along. . I ordered the Butterscotch Concrete feature, and it was so so perfect to taste! I must say, in all of my years I’ve never come across where you cannot tip someone in a food service industry such as this and personally, my grateful customer side was these workers MUST get tipped!! This is my personal preference, and absolutely do not feel like anyone should feel obligated yet they were really rocking it out, and the patience along with the customer service of the young man, serving up was pretty impressive! There was another employee again that was coming from front to back to help keep things clean and sanitize, and she was friendly when she made contact briefly as I was waiting for my concrete mixer.

Google
This frozen custard spot seemed really cool so I stopped by for some dessert. It looks nice inside with cute color scheme. They have lots of options for frozen custard and ice cream sundaes. It was very delicious and full of unique flavor. I tried one of the fall specials, the apple pie sundae. It was a good fall vibe !!

Google
It was a warm Saturday evening. After dinner we wanted to have some dessert, In came Goodberry’s. After already being in village district, we knew this was the spot. Upon entry you are immediately in line. They have a good selection and various sizes. They also do regular specials. This weeks was key lime pie flavor. The pricing for this place is good and staff is always nice. Some seating inside but also some tables outside too.

Google
I’ve been to this location multiple times and never had an issue until tonight. I ordered a limeilla and the girl with short black hair at the counter repeated the order back to me. The drink was also on the receipt. They handed me a small drink with no ice cream that tasted like pure lime juice. I even had my boyfriend try it out to make sure it wasn’t just my tastebuds. I thought they could’ve gotten the order wrong but my boyfriend had confirmed that was what he had paid for. Wouldn’t recommend coming to this location.

Google
Goodberry's is always my late night ice cream spot. The staff are super friendly and the custard is always great. They have a selection of flavors that they rotate through and it adds a nice sense of variety. I always get chocolate with cherries and caramel but thats just a preference.

Rom Profesorsky

Google
Goodberry's is a staple but the ice cream is only half of the equation, the other half is the wonderful people that work there. Michael and Maddie, even when understaffed, served us quickly and kindly. Will be coming back

Vincent Fernandez

Google
Really fresh custard every time I've been there, strawberry is my personal favorite. They have chocolate and vanilla every day, and have a flavor of the day that changes every day. Can not over recommend Goodberry's for a sweet treat!

Caroline D.

Yelp
The service was fast and friendly. The ambiance is a just a little froyo place but the sitting outside is nice. The mini almond Sunday hit the spot and was pretty fairly priced around 6$. The strawberry banana Sunday was really refreshing. The strawberries were frozen, but not bad! Make sure you get the mini, $8 for ice cream is a bit much, but still concrete is solid!

Samuel V.

Yelp
Goodberry's was highly recommended to me and I had high hopes going in. The flavors and options were great! The menu was a bit confusing when it came to ordering but ultimately, the "custard" or ice cream was just too runny and melted entirely too fast for what was paid. Made it hard to enjoy and more of a race against time.

Taylor T.

Yelp
meh, nothing fantastic about it. it's cool how you can customize your own concrete ice cream. but overall, it's meh

Elizabeth W.

Yelp
They got me to come in with the Pumpkin, Flavor of the Day today. We did not care for it. We brought it home and added fresh nutmeg and cinnamon which was an improvement. Flavors tend to be subtle, so double the syrup or get fruit. The pecans are an excellent add-in, and the basics are a good bet: Oreos, Butterfinger, Heath, etc. I don't recommend the caramel sauce at all, which I tried based on someone else's recommendation here; it is thick and bland. The 'Cherry Coke' float is not made with cherry syrup - it's the off-the-shelf version. Lines can get long but service was very quick. All in all, it's still a fun place to go, especially during warmer seasons, and I do appreciate them being one of the few places still open in the 10pm - midnight time period. After today's visit, and with so many frozen treat alternatives, I don't think it's worth the calories and will leave this to younger patrons.

Yelp
shi fuckin ass two flavors ngl assssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss 0/10 never eating again waste of my fuckin money and time

Lexi G.

Yelp
I love ice cream, I love Coldstone, Andy's, Culvers... those are my standards. This, is not what I call I've cream. It's watery, runny, and should not be called custard. It was so busy when we came, and I don't really know why. Glad we got to try it, but we won't be back. My husband's peanut butter fudge cookie dough was better, but again runny. They do have a plethora of options, so I was super excited to get bing cherries in mine.

Jewel P.

Yelp
perfect custard! good price as well for the amount you get. you can also customize which is really jice

Christina M.

Yelp
Nothing was particularly bad about this, it was just custard. What *was* top tier is their caramel sauce - honestly the absolute best caramel sauce I've ever had. It was my first time there, and if there is a line the menu is very hard to see. I impulsively decided what to get because I couldn't clearly see the menu and didn't want to waste time while others were waiting behind me. Staff was very nice.

Jordan T.

Yelp
Sometimes I just got to have some Goodberry's! That soft serve concrete might not look like much in this picture but trust me it was good. On a hot a hot summer day treat yourself to a cup while enjoying the sun.

Sarah T.

Yelp
Delicious! If you're looking for a creamy frozen treat look no further than Goodberry's! Goodberry's is in Cameron Village. There is a ton of parking available, lots of restaurants, and places to shop nearby. Goodberry's also has a large seating area inside, a few tables outside, and there are some benches around the area to sit. The service was quick and employees were all very nice. They have a large variety of Sunday's to pick from and do special flavors of custard on various days of the week.

Richard H.

Yelp
It's delicious but it's more custard soup than custard... I guess if you like runny ice cream then this is the spot for you!!

Corey M.

Yelp
I happen to visit Goodberry's on a Saturday which was a pretty busy day. Malessa was the one helping me and exemplified exceptional customer service and is the definition of great customer service. Malessa was able to assist and make recommendations for me and my kids for different flavors to try and everything that was recommended was amazing. Malessa was able to make our ice cream without a long wait and continued this with other customers as well. I will be coming back and will recommend this business to anyone that is in the area.

Kristen B.

Yelp
Rotating flavor ever day! Everything I've ever had has been delicious! Concretes are delicious

Varun K.

Yelp
I have been coming to goodberrys for years and it still stands out as one of my favorite ice cream spots to goto! There is always such a comforting and home like vibe here and the custards are phenomenal!

Emma S.

Yelp
Y'all should learn a thing or 2 from the other locations. If I'm paying for toppings I would actually like to have some on my ice cream.

Ryan S.

Yelp
The flavors were immaculate! The service was extraordinary. The atmosphere was phenomenal. If you're in the Raleigh area, don't even hesitate to come here. What a treat! 10/10 would DEFINITELY recommend.

David L.

Yelp
This is my favorite Goodberry's spot in the triangle. Located in a nice mall strip, there was plenty of parking. Furthermore I was pleasantly surprised that they had a massive indoor seating which was perfect because of the cold weather outside. Everything was and smelled clean. It almost had a "dentist" like smell to the place which was reassuring during Covid. Furthermore, frozen yogurt never disappoints!

Donna Y.

Yelp
Omg so good. I had sugar free vanilla mixed with chocolate - delicious!! Creamy and custardy yumminess. I'll definitely be back next time I'm here. The employees were pretty friendly too.

Will A.

Yelp
it's great but I think the the servers are really important for your experience. I have a great time with the morning shift but the night shift wasn't that good. I ordered something with resses and it wasnt even mixed up. It was a complete butter cup. Overall I love the place though.

Jill M.

Yelp
As always--yummy! It's my birthday and this is lunch! Mini concrete Chocolate with bing cherries! The employees are masked, hand sanitizer available, traffic and signage clearly keeps social distancing a priority throughout the whole process. No tables indoors or out. We enjoyed lunch on a nearby bench. Or you can take Goodberry 's to go by the quart. However you get it, wherever you eat it, you won't be disappointed! Thanks for staying open.

Galvan E.

Yelp
YOU SCREAM, I SCREAM, WE ALL SCREAM FOR... frozen custard giirrllll lemme tell you! This is sooo bomb this is my first time eating frozen custard and I am a fan! We had to come try the famous @goodberrys I asked for the Snickers Sundae which is vanilla with pieces of snickers in it and it's topped with a layer of chocolate fudge. My sister, Lucy, asked for the Brownie Sundae which is vanilla BUT at the bottom there is a warm brownie #yum Both are really good. Trust 10/10 Also, Nala recommends the whipped cream

Chelsea C.

Yelp
Stopped in this afternoon for something to nip my sweet tooth. I was greeted and taken care of right away. A young lady named Jada made my cup of deliciousness so promptly and with a smile (I could see it even with her mask on). She made my ice cream just how I like it with chunks of oreos throughout. I will definitely be back, great location.

Daisy C.

Yelp
Unsanitary, no use of gloves. The vanilla and chocolate ice cream smelled and tasted odd. Not to mention the inside was dirty ...

Eden R.

Yelp
There's definitely better, more unique ice cream and experiences out there, but there's nothing wrong with this place. Would go again.

Robbie C.

Yelp
Located at Cameron Village, this has an indoor area to sit and enjoy. Shared a peanut butter concrete with my granddaughter. We promised her an ice cream and had to wake her when we arrived. Yeah, she was a happy 2 1/2 year old!

Michael S.

Yelp
Goodberry's isn't what you'd think when you think of custard. That's a good thing! Located in a hip shopping area of Raleigh, Goodberry's is a hot spot for the local college kids. The frozen custard comes in vanilla or chocolate of course. The sundaes that they create with those is extremely unique! I had a vanilla custard with hot fudge and malt powder sprinkled on top. Not their most creative, but the malt powder added such a distinct flavor and richness to the concoction! They offer real Malted Milkshakes, Black & Whites, Splits, Coffees, and even All Beef Hot Dogs! I got to get back here soon, on a empty stomach, and try more of these fabulous concoctions!

Bridgette R.

Yelp
I have never been to such a great Goodberry's before! The ones I have gone to usually are stand alone places and they are run by kids who could not give a flying monkey about customer service. THIS one in Cameron Village is AHmazing. After pizza slices I took the teens to get some REAL dessert. There was outdoor seating so we were thrilled to get some COVID safe dining. When we entered, the store was clean and there was one customer ordering at the time. When it was my turn, the cashier was super friendly, polite and patient. We read over the menu and she answered all of our questions happily. Her coworker was cute as a button and was also welcoming. They worked great together and they got our parfait and two sundaes out in a timely manner. Goodberry's should be proud of these two - as young as they were, they were excellent representatives of what hospitality should be - they were genuinely kind and engaged. Thanks! Oh yeah the custard was fantastic as always but you know - it's Goodberry's! LOL

Pim K.

Yelp
Always a good treat :) Alec always get the classic cookies & cream

Vic W.

Yelp
I wanted to give this 5 stars! But... If you can find my toppings from where you currently sit, then I can find my toppings. What is happening out here in custard land with Goodberry's. I used to frequent the location on Spring Forest Road because I really love how much "topping/filling" is added. I mean... you walk away feeling that you paid your $18 for 2 different sized Concretes BUT it was worth it. Then.... Something happened over there. The custard became soupy. The initial look of the custard will make it seem stiff but if you allow it to sit for 3 min, expect soup! I hate hate hate that EVEN with the amazing amount of toppings! So... I have not been back to that location in more than 90 days. Today, I went to the location in Village District. Staff was adorable. And the custard there? On point. It was super thick... at least the chocolate was super thick like the old days at Spring Forest location. But.... Smh... I got the okey-doke. Clearly the kids just put the filling/topping on TOP of the custard and I have yet to see hot fudge! I have eaten at least 1/2 of it right now and I am tasting delicious custard BUT... I feel cheated with no brownies nor hot fudge! What happened??? Sigh... now I have to think... what location had both thick custard AND toppings/mixins that match price and expectation? If you guys know, please tell me. Sigh... I may just need to head to NYC for authentic gelato and give up on this custard in Raleigh. Smh... I will say that Freddy's In Albuquerque on Paseo was amazing to the point that my love of custard grew. Too bad Goodberry's is failing in my chocolate needs and desires. (Folks are going to make me buy a damn custard Machine.)

Asma A.

Yelp
The chocolate fudge and caramel sauce are like thick layers-- extremely overpowering. It's like I'm eating that out of the bottle rather than being able to enjoy the custard flavor.

Allan A.

Yelp
This is my favorite custard store. The waffle come was super fresh and of course the custard is yummy. I wish they had more than three flavors in store. They have about 5-6 flavors for take home though.

Havah S.

Yelp
Goodberries is one of the secrets to Raleigh that you just can't miss out on. I used to go when I was a kid, down wake forest road, whenever we were going horseback riding with my friend. I've always gotten the same thing... a concrete with fresh blueberries. They do this thing where they flip it upside down and then right-side up and nothing moves... It's magic :) Cameron Village was a new experience for me since I was visiting and this location is much closer to where I was located. I walked in and felt like I was in a Japanese shop, very modern and hip, pop vibe--- it would be an awesome hangout spot for sure and great to bring friends to. The frozen custard is just as good as I remember. If you haven't tried it then you must... It's simply better than ice cream. mmm mmm good.

Jiyoung S.

Yelp
I stopped by to get some ice cream cravings fixed with my sister. I struggled to decide on what I want, but the gentleman who was serving us waited patiently (we were the only customers in the line at that time) until I made up on my mind. I like ice cream in a cup, so I took my time to place an order. I decided to have a mini vanilla custard with peaches and strawberries. I wasn't sure on the peaches, but who knew that was the choice of my day!! The custard was slightly pinkish red from strawberry juice, which I loved it because vanilla is pretty plain for me. Peaches were soft but not too mushy soft :) it was simply perfect. I love love love it! I don't like chain ice cream places, but I've always had good experiences with Goodberrys. I will be back for more yummy custard and nice service!

Jeff S.

Yelp
Over $17 for three cups for the kids? Stupid. Never coming back to any Goodberry's location. RIP OFF.

Rose L.

Yelp
Maybe I was spoiled on custard too much as a child, but after various trips to different Goodberry locations, I think their product is just okay. The custard is always a little too melted for my custard standards and is it possible that the put too many toppings in the concretes? This past visit I tried a startling combination of oreo, peanut butter cups and vanilla custard. It hardly rocked my world: say no to melted custard and over toppings, let's get some competition in the area! My opinion of Goodberry's has been silent too long, although the Triangle lacks good ice cream/custard in general, this stuff is the bottom of the A-OK options in my opinion.

Ron W.

Yelp
Have you ever eaten concrete before? And I'm not talking about flying off your skateboard or tripping over your feet! If you live in NC you've probably run into Goodberry's concrete at some point and time, my first taste was at a Durham Bulls game. But if you haven't tried Goodberry's custard fresh, you're missing out! You're not going to have a ton of options here: vanilla, chocolate, one sugar-free option and flavor of the day but not to worry! Goodberry's custard is creamy smooth and made with top-notch ingredients. A great way to cool off on a hot afternoon and treat the kids to something sweet. You can add a flavoring or mix-in to upgrade your custard but it's fine by itself! They've also got custard cakes, hot dogs and coffee here but I haven't tried em yet. So check out Goodberry's the next time you're in Cameron Village. It's right up front off of Clark Ave so it's easy in and out for your frozen treat!

Brandy A.

Yelp
So disappointed! Chocolate custarf flavor was super salty. Vanilla was super sweet, very thin, and melted. Perhaps it was the wet walnuts all syrup minimal custard. Also to pay $12.00 for cups that were barely at 3/4 is a little ridiculous. This is not the standard I'm used to.

Laurie I.

Yelp
Yum yum yum, love this place. They don't give as much to the customers as most custard places, but what we did get was great. wish they would move down to the Cahrlotte area or Lake Wylie SC

Debbie P.

Yelp
Normally great experience but today the cashier was rude. Ice cream still fantastic though. I will choose other Goodberrys from now on

Rebecca S.

Yelp
I had the brownie sundae with mint choc chip and hubby had vanilla fudge with pecans both were very good mine could've came with a little more custard. A really nice little local Cameron village spot for custard. Staff was friendly and very prompt.

Anthony C.

Yelp
Frozen custard done well....whats not to like? If you've never had frozen custard,...you're missing out. All locations in the Raleigh/Garner area appear to be pretty good and comparable to each other. Highly recommend them all.

Lauren R.

Yelp
Goodberrys is always a good choice for ice cream. I like this shop since it's inside, rather than the one in Durham where it's outside only. This makes it more accessible for when you're craving ice cream in the winter! Goodberrys is unique in that they don't serve many flavors of ice cream, so if you're looking for funky flavors this is not the best place to go. They usually only have vanilla and chocolate and their flavor of the day. However, if you're looking for some really good and creamy custard that you can add toppings to, you've come to the right place. I'd recommend getting the concretes, but with some sort of candy topping rather than fruit. The concretes allow you to pick a topping or two that gets blended into your custard choice. It's blended so well that they can even flip the cup upside down and the ice cream won't fall out! This shows just how awesome this custard is. The vanilla with Heath bars is always a good choice and one of my favorites. A few tips: I wouldn't suggest getting the concrete with fruit. I've tried this with bananas and strawberries, and it makes the concrete taste watery and it almost looks melted already the second you get it. Also be sure to check online since they have a calendar so you can see the flavors of the day and choose when you would like to go!

Winona M.

Yelp
SO YUMMY!!! My girlfriend and I are visiting from Arizona and haven't been able to find a good frozen custard place ever since our Vegas trip right before covid hit hard everywhere; anyway, we were so excited to try this place out, and we were not disappointed at all! It was so delicious that we have been every day since we got here! We had the same girl worker the first 2 nights we went, and she was so nice/helpful (even remembered us the next day). I highly recommend this place and will be coming back next time we are here!

David D.

Yelp
No experience to mention. I arrived at this location at 1045pm on Monday January 22nd and despite the Yelp hours clearly stating that the business hours are 11:00am~11:00pm, the business was closed and the employees were already cleaning and packing to leave. Side note: Google does a terrible job of finding this location.

Laurie V.

Yelp
Pay no attention to the ugly surroundings. It is not very fancy in this store and the chairs are uncomfortable. But the "concretes" are delicious. It's also probably a notch pricer than I would expect to spend. But it is so gooooood.

Jess S.

Yelp
One word: YUM. Fresh and delish. I had the truffle sundae, phenomenal. My boyfriend had the brownie sundae, very good but a little too much fudge for me. Out of towners, but will be back.

K K.

Yelp
Born here and raised on Goodberry's. Moved out of state for 8 years but would always get my fix when here for a visit. Just recently moved back and have to say the flavor/quality seems much different. Working in the food industry I understand health code enforces the use of hairnets or hats. But what's the point if your long weave is hanging down your back and you proceed to scratch your head with your 3 inch nails then touch equipment & my utensils?? Wear is the gloves?? Maybe things are just different in the state I was at :/ Nice area and location. Employees were pleasant

Mikkel W.

Yelp
Delicious! I always get concretes and like their monthly flavor calendar. 4 stars because it's slightly expensive for what it is but a nice treat once in a while. Good for going after dinner for dessert with friends. Plenty of seating, fast service.

Kelsey N.

Yelp
Without a doubt, Cameron village is my favorite Goodberry's location. It may seem weird that it is indoor since most Goodberry's are all outdoor seating. But I love it for when it is winter and I still need my Goodberry's fix. Another plus is that when it is super hot outside, I don't have to worry about it melting at all. There are plenty of tables and booths inside, so unlike the outdoor locations, we don't have any problems finding a seat. Service is very quick, and they are always generous with the toppings. It can get expensive if you add a lot of toppings, but it is great to treat yourself every once in awhile :) To me, Goodberry's is totally worth it. Tip: Check the website to see the "Flavor of the Day" and plan when to go. It can save you the cost of a topping (or two). This time we went when they had "Maple Almond" as the featured flavor, so it was like 2 free toppings. Then we added chocolate chips too. Delicious.

Alex S.

Yelp
We love this location especially because Heidi and Jeremiah are so incredible. They went above and beyond when someone took my concrete, which happened to be the last of the flavor of the day, peanut butter (the only reason we come :) ). They both deserve BIG raises!
