Why 4 stars? Because we enjoyed our experience even if most of the menu isn't our typical jam.

I've wanted to visit Goode Company for a while now but never really wanted to take our child with us, so my wife and I finally stopped in during the week between Christmas and New Year when we were both off and he was in daycare.
The vibe and feel of the place is just awesome. It's not very large but the decor inspires me to want to come back as often as possible. I would love to shake the hand of the designer and then hire them do bring the same energy to our living room.
As for the food, we started off with the garlic bread and were glad we did. It was cut like a pizza, and while each "slice" was on the larger side, it was very light and airy. And not so garlic-y that it was overwhelming. The only bad thing about it is that I could have eaten about four servings and filled up before the meal actually arrived.
For the main course, my wife ordered the gulf shrimp taquitos, which were small, but excellent. I went with a shrimp po boy, which was solid. The bread was similar to the garlic bread, which I liked more as garlic bread than I did for po boy bread. But overall, it was an enjoyable meal.
I wasn't super tempted but much else on the menu, but I also don't usually seek out seafood-based cuisine. Not that I dislike seafood, but I just don't order fish as my primary protein very often. However, if I am craving that in the future, I'm confident Goode would be the place to try it!
