I should start by stating I love seafood 😋. So to be impressed by a restaurant who specializes in that cuisine may be too high a hurdle to bear. I had a seafood platter with stuffed crab, stuffed shrimp, fried fish, fried oysters, and selected asparagus as my side. The menu did not detail cheese covering my asparagus. So I sent it back. Thank you, no. My vegetables should be just that without surprises. My waiter did forget to bring the veggies back sans the cheese until I reminded him twice. It came when almost done. I did enjoy the stuffed crab. All the other items were forgettable. It felt more like a chain than a special visit. There was also an empanada stuffed with shrimp. The flavor was awful. My guest agreed as well. It has been years since I had been here before today. I see why a return visit maybe years from now.

Goode Company Seafood is located along I-10, near Memorial City Mall. It has a diner layout with lots of windows on 2 sides. We sat in a half-booth, half-table seating area. Since it was Easter, I had made a reservation for noon, but most of my party arrived early and was seated immediately. The waitstaff arrived promptly and took our drink/appetizer order. After all of my group arrived, we placed our lunch order and asked for separate tickets upon completion of our meal. The staff had no issue with us asking for separate tickets. The service and food were excellent. Everyone remarked that their food was prepared wonderfully, and they were definitely returning in the future. Some of us needed To-Go containers because the portions were plentiful .

Joann was the best waitress hands down explained everything so well , good spirit , & good vibes . all the food was a 10/10. also Taylor the hostess was also sweet that seated my family . would definitely recommend this place this location!

So our server was fantastic no complaints there. Crab cake was delicious and that’s where I will end. Fish was tasteless and dry. Spinach was so salty that was uneatable . My friends did not enjoy their food either. Granted they did not express that openly. My main dish was removed from the tab. The interior is also not my preference but I did notice cute designer mirrors in the bathroom hall that was a nice touch.

My favorite seafood place in Houston! Absolutely amazing food, and great service. I had a dozen oysters (pictured) and the red snapper special (pictured) with seafood rice. Everything was amazing, and will be returning next time I am in town.

I had dinner here during a visit to Houston on business. I had the ceviche to start and mesquite bbq snapper topped with crab. The food was delicious but a bit pricey. Service was great and the vibe was relaxing. Would definitely come back.

Po boy technically had 5 shrimps, mostly bread and salad. Overpriced. Campechana is their best dish. I rather go to the competition. (Great decor)

My family and I have been to this location several times, and we have always had a good experience. However, we left before we could order our drinks. We made a reservation, and when we arrived, a hostess told us they were getting our table ready, which was fine. Then, a gentleman told another hostess to take us to a different table, which was in the middle of an area. I asked if we could be seated in a booth, and the hostess obliged seating us in a booth with a “Reserved” sign. Then, another hostess came over and scolded the one who sat us for seating us there. I mentioned to the second hostess that we did reserve a table, and she told me the table was meant for someone else. My husband offered to leave and wait for another table, but the second hostess said it was fine. I mentioned to her it wouldn’t be a problem if she had not come over and said something. She then told me that I should have requested a booth upon arrival and blaming me for the situation. My husband then got up and said we were leaving. The second hostess told us we could stay, but we went ahead and left. We did not appreciate the second hostess scolding the one who sat us in front of us. She also could have politely told us it was reserved for someone else. It was poor customer service, and it could have been handled properly.

Yelp
I've always enjoyed lunch or dinner at Goode Company Seafood. The atmosphere is lively and inviting. Food is consistent and great. And the service is a step above. But tonight... My wife, daughter and I dropped in for dinner. It had been a few months. The atmosphere was the same and perhaps more lively given it was Friday. We started with a half dozen each of raw and grilled oysters. The raw arrived first and were great. I love their mignonette and jalapeño (?) relish. The grilled were nice as well but I wanted more butter to dip my garlic bread into. The crab, corn, poblano bisque is excellent and I used more of the bread to get every last drop of the bisque out of the cup. Our daughter had a nice crab cake appetizer for her entree. My wife and I had the mesquite grilled red snapper. This is always my Go To when dining here. Top it all off with a nice Sauvignon Blanc and I'm good. Let's talk about the service though. Our server was friendly and attentive but not overly so. In a good way. However, there was a moment when my wife wanted some hot sauce so I went to the bar to ask because our server was slammed during dinner service. That's when I met JC. He quickly pulled some hot sauce out and could have just handed it to me. Instead, he took the cap off and using a clean beverage napkin wiped the cap and grooves of the interior closure where we all know things can build up and cake. After cleaning something I didn't even think about, he politely handed it to me and said "Enjoy your dinner." This is why I'm writing this review and why I keep coming back to Goode Company Seafood. So should you.

Yelp
Ambiance is very cool, nicely decor as a boat for a seafood restaurant from inside to exterior seating to the bar area. Convenient location as it is right next to Memorial hospital. Service was rather slow, even when not many customers for a Friday late afternoon. My second server was quite a friendly older gentleman - he actually checked up on my food, wipe down my table and gave me coasters for my drinks WITHOUT ME ASKING unlike the random, awkward manager and host at the front. Food was delicious. I highly recommend getting their chilled seafood tower so you can try many of their appetizers during happy hour! I was hesitate to get raw oysters as it's not oyster season anymore but glad I did. I'm usually not a fan of raw gulf oysters but this time, it's still sweet. Campechana is extremely refreshing so get that if you don't want to get an entire seafood tower. Plus, it's filling. Redfish on half shell was also delicious, even as leftover. Don't forget to add charred lemon caper with jumbo lump crab on top, it's worth it in my opinion. I had to ask for their happy hour menu. I was told by their manager that happy hour menu are just for the bar but he made an exception for me. However, when another lady came by to dine in, her server didn't hesitate and didn't give this whole lecture of not sitting at the bar. Perhaps due to her getting alcohol beverages. Nevertheless, don't be afraid to ask for their happy hour menu. Overall not bad and I would come again if I'm craving seafood. It's a pretty laid back atmosphere so no need to dress up but also proper attire (no booty shorts, etc but sandals/flip flops are okay). Too bad the host didn't communicate with the first server so I was just sitting there, waiting to be waited on for my first time dining experience. I almost got up to leave if no one notice me. Was it due to me wearing painted clothes as I was working on one of my properties near by? Who knows.

Yelp
This was my first visit back since they did their new build, and I was really pleased with the look of the new space. It ditched a bit of the old style charm that I was fond of from the previous iteration in exchange for super tall ceilings and a really impressive bar area. Location has plenty of parking and there's a strong customer service mentality here that remains through the change. Servers and managers were chipper and readily available. I mentioned the bar area, and I was also quite content with the menu cocktails and their prices. Nearly every one of the drinks were $11 or $12, which compared to nearly any other restaurant is at least $5 cheaper on average. Good value and taste here to do a little happy hour or start the weekend off. The food is nice too, there's a balance of fried seafood critters and more elegant panseared fishies. I got the shrimp po' boy to get a feel for how well they do the basics, and they came out with a thumbs up for me. Fresh veggies, plump shrimps, and some nice sauces made this a winner. The apps hit the notes they're aiming for and like the rest of the menu I think the quality and amount of food you get is fair value. Enjoyed my time visiting this Houston classic and I'll be back at some point for sure.

Yelp
Post workday dinner at the bar.... This is a great space, bright, open and welcoming! Co-worker and I sat at the bar and went through a bunch of shareable, all of them delicious! We started with the Grilled Oysters , perfect! Did the shrimp Empanada's , perfect! My favorite, the special which was a Crawfish Boudin sausage which was beyond perfect! In fact this might have been one of the best fresh sausages I have ever eaten! Rounded the meal out with a cup of chowder and a slice of Pecan Pie! A few very good cocktails and I left full, feeling fresh and happy! This is a great spot, will definitely come back and recommend to anyone in the area! KT

Yelp
Perfection perfection!!!! Oh my, we came here for a little appetizer and we basically had a meal. The mixed seafood Campechana filled us like we had a full blown meal. This is very unusual for a nice seafood spot so I was quite surprised with their portion sizes. We had some friends that joined us and they had the fried seafood plate and the Shrimp Ettouffe. Both were ginormous. So come hungry!!!. I was surprised that it was quite quiet on a Saturday night. So the atmosphere was mild. The inside is large so it can fit large parties of people if you're looking for a roomy restaurant . The wait staff were all very responsive and nice. The sweet spot for me is that they sold a proper Gibson. It's rare to see this on a cocktail menu and you kind of just have to know what it is, so I had to try it. It was made with pure perfection. This was a nice night cap to the weekend. We'll definitely add this to our constants when in Houston.

Yelp
Houston is full of seafood restaurants but we wanted to try something different. I could not be happier with our results.

J K.

Yelp
The chargrilled oysters were very salty. The mesquite grilled red snapper was pan fried m The 'roasted asparagus' was steamed. The service was subpar. I would not recommend anyone to dine here, unless you have very low expectations.

Iman Z.

Yelp
Loved the inside of the restaurant which is decorated with a nautical theme. I ordered Togo and waited at the bar when I came in. The staff were super nice and attentive when I was waiting and the food came out pretty quick. I wouldn't say the food was worth the price tag that came with it. I think you are paying for the ambiance in the restaurant and service more than the flavor of the food. Redfish dip: 6/10- good texture and portion size. I feel like it was missing something in terms of seasoning. I did like that it came with crackers to give a contrast in textures. I liked it but not enough to eat the whole thing myself. Seafood platter: 7.5/10- this was a typical fried platter of seafood. My favorite part was the crab and shrimp. Great crunch and flavors from the stuffings. The empanada and hush puppies were okay and nothing crazy. I also didn't understand the need for garlic bread. It didn't really add anything to the already large assortment of fried food. The disappointing part for me was the tartar sauce. I wish it was better and I didn't find myself dipping in the cocktail sauce more often.

Yelp
Goode Company Seafood is a staple in Houston and even though they have multiple locations, the food is always on point. My absolute favorite dish to get is the Campechana Extra, which is pretty much a shrimp and crab ceviche. It's categorized as an appetizer but definitely large enough to be consumed as an entree, especially for lunch. I just love how fresh it is and the amount of flavor it has. I rarely have to look at the menu because I know this is what I'm getting. My husband got the gumbo bowl with shrimp and crab and it was pretty good. I would give it a 4 out if 5 since it was good but not mind blowing. It's not quite your mom's homecooked gumbo, but it satisfies the need if you have a hankering for it. It surprised me that it had rice in it, which I enjoy personally, but I feel like it rice should come on the side. We also got the pecan pie a là mode for dessert. Again, this was good but a bit too sweet. If you have to use ice cream to lessen the sweetness, there is too much sugar. The service was great, as always and the staff is always so professional. This location is larger than their other locations, so it was nice to have more space. I would still suggest getting reservations though since it can quickly get crowded. We didn't have any reservations but got there right as they opened for lunch service, so they were able to accommodate us.

Yelp
We started with hush puppies as an app; absolute worst hush puppies I've ever had. No exaggeration. They were extremely dry and had no flavor whatsoever. On top of being dry on their own, unbeknownst to me, they had pecans or walnuts in them, making them extra dry and flavorless. Do not recommend. For my main course I had the fried gulf shrimp plate. The crust on the shrimp was fried to perfection with a lovely crunch. The fries were awfully soggy and cold. They would've been great had they been fresh. The shrimp empanada was great and definitely a reason to return. Overall, pretty decent experience, taking off 2 stars as I believe hush puppies are vital at a seafood restaurant.

Yelp
I've been going to Goode Company seafood since living inside the loop and visiting their trailer. Glad to visit their location on the west side of town off of the I-10 corridor is a ton more spacious and less dingy. A welcomed sight. Food remains stellar as their famous Marisco appetizer is large enough to be an entree itself and always delicious. Filled with a generous amount of crab and shrimp, the light, crisp and tangy flavors all mix well with the spiciness. We also ordered a bowl of the crab gumbo, but this dish remains forgettable as it feels so generic and non-outstanding. While I believe this is house made and cured by the chefs, there is nothing special or eye opening about this dish. Pecan pie ala mode has a pretty good taste wise but this continues my dislike for overly sweet pies/deserts. I could only withstand 2-3 bites before giving my insulin a break from spiking. If you need ice cream to tame the sweetness of the pecan filling, that tells you theres something wrong. I understand this is just a personal preference, but if this is down your alley, go for it. Goode company has some good stuff, particularly their Marisco, however there looks to be hits and misses on the menu that would make it hard for me to venture too far from the Marisco. Perhaps I can try their grilled options next time.

Yelp
So I come here often and if I'm being honest it's a hit or miss. The food is just underwhelming. Staff is always on point, friendly, helpful, welcoming... so for that they get an A+. This location is clean and spacious and nice seating. They just can't seem to get the food right for me. Out of the five times I've come, only two, have I walked away satisfied. I know I'll come again bc someone I know loves this place but for me, personally, I know there are better seafood eats in Houston.

Michael H.

Yelp
Good food, wasn't greeted when we sat at the bar and the bar was very unsanitary, bartenders are touching straws with their hands, not practicing safe post COVID protocols when dealing with people's drink. I would suggest getting straws covered with plastic or paper.

Elizabeth R.

Yelp
This restaurant was so cute. So different from what I expected based on what they used to look like... it's a fun, casual, upscale young vibe with a touch of sportsbar. I had the gumbo with garlic bread. It came quickly. The shrimp was soft (a few shell pieces left on though). P it was a little little thicker gumbo then I used to, but was still very good. The waiter was super friendly and did a great job as well. They had both reasonable and ecpendive items. I saw a ceviche tower on the way out and will definitely come back for that!!! Looks like they have a great oyster bar as well. This is a great place for a lunch with friends. I will be back for sure.

Yelp
The four of us came over for a late lunch this afternoon. Only lightly busy when we arrived we were quickly seated and asked for our drink order. Two of us are highly sensitive to the lactose in the food and we had to ask some questions about what contained milk, cheese and butter. We were disappointed that the gumbo was made with significant amounts of butter in the roux. I personally make mine with oil and you can't tell the difference. I got the seafood platter and wifey got the seafood k-bob. She was very happy with the k-bob and happily munched it down until it was gone. A side of shrimp rice was also very good. For me, the seafood platter was great. It came with a stuffed crab, a stuffed shrimp, several fried shrimp and fried oysters and some fried catfish. Everything was delicious! The stuffed crab and shrimp were tasty and full of meat and not just breading so very happy about that. Well, just this little issue of where were the empanadas that we're supposed to be on each meal? Upon questioning the servers, apparently because of all of our questions about lactose they decided to not serve them so we asked that they bring us that part of the meal. Which they quickly did. Good thing because they were really good too. One other thing. When our plates were brought out the lead server wanted to take the tartar sauce back because it was dairy. I had to stop him because, at best, tartar is white but is mayonnaise based which is not dairy even if it is white and creamy. Mayonnaise is made from eggs and vinegar and a few other things. I'm surprised by how many people don't know this and think it's dairy but it's not. So once we got that settled we enjoyed our lunch. Don't take the comments about the empanadas and tartar sauce too seriously. Both issues were immediately fixed and we were genuinely happy with lunch and our two servers and look forward to returning some day. Hopefully we look forward to coming again on another trip to Houston.

Yelp
We have been traveling to Houston for 1.5 year for medical treatment. Each month we come we try to eat at another favorite in Houston. Tonight was Goode Company Seafood. Hazel was an excellent server. Friendly, beautiful smile, knew her menu, and made us feel at home. We had the Campexhana de marinades appetizer and it was 5. The best thing I have put in my mouth. I could have eaten four more of them. I had the combo po boy with fried green tomatoes and Steve had the special. It was redfish topped with an amazing tasting combo of avocado, shrimp, tomatoes and spices in a cream sauce. The margaritas were even top notch too. We took back to hotel a whole pecan pie. The word on the street is they are know for pecan pie. If you're in town visiting or a native make sure you go eat here. Ask for Hazel. We definitely will be back. Foodie from Tennessee Kickincancer

Yelp
The best seafood house in the South! Never had a meal at Goode Company Seafood I didn't like... Everything is flavorful and freash. Love the fried crab finger, and the gumbo is a must... They have a seafood tower for 70, but for happy hour its 40...

Rob K.

Yelp
The reviews are correct, solid 4 stars. However, we've noticed over the past a few months, improved service and management. If you have any issues, ask for manager Dylan I'll bet he takes care of you right away. Also, try server Kiel. Prompt friendly service. Bonus they sometimes have stone crab claws that rival Joe's. 2 for $36. Nice size. Also, the chargrilled oysters have excellent flavor, but vary in size. I've had some really large ones in the past, but right now they are running small to medium. This place gets pricey fast, can easily spend $100 per person between apps, drinks and entrées. Our last flounder special was $52. But overall you get what you pay for, everything is very fresh and well prepared.

Barbara L.

Yelp
As soon as we walked in, we were greeted with smiles by staff, and seated promptly. As always, the food was so satisfying never disappoints!

Patricia P.

Yelp
I've been eating here for years. the quality of th food has gotten to an all time low. The waitress was great.

Bryon P.

Yelp
The attitude here is GREAT Walter super manager and staff awesome Food service beyond GOODE Bryon Parffrey

Michelle S.

Yelp
We sat at the bar. Happy hour 7 days a week! Mini campachena from the Happy Hour menu was just perfect size for 2 people. Two Damn Goode burgers with one side each of onion rings and shrimp rice. James was wonderful. His customer service was great! He kept us informed about our food. The ambiance was casual nautical. Nicely done Goode Company Seafood! I will be back!

Bob B.

Yelp
I made my last visit to Goode Company Seafood-Katy Fwy, on 6/8/24. Service from the bar was mediocre at best. I was disappointed that there were no fried crab fingers. i heard the excuses. those who love them don't care if they're small or have gone up in price. What made my decision to never visit again, was the price of my drinks, when I got the bill. Johnnie Walker black went from $12 to $16, since last visit. Thats insane! To increase 33% is a slap in the face! This isn't NYC! Enjoyed your food in the past, and I disappointed that you've done this. I guess nothing lasts foreve.

Sofia D.

Yelp
Food is really good!! I Especially really liked the red fish beignets as a starter. Very good fried crust and good flavor on the fish. The gumbo was one of my favorites!! We ordered the cup which came with a good amount and very flavorful. Would come back just for the gumbo! The stuffed combo was pretty good. Wasn't my favorite mainly because I got tired of the fried food. Which is what we ordered but if you enjoy fried seafood platters this is for you!!! Came with 3 types of fried seafood, garlic bread and rice!!! The service was nice and attentive! The ambiance is really nice. A very fun nautical boat theme. Looked very nice and clean

Brittney D.

Yelp
Super meh. I'm pescatarian, so seafood is my deal. Service was nice. Ambiance was limited by fishy smell. Good location, but I'd choose another genre if I was in the area.

Janice P.

Yelp
Good food and nice ambiance. The service was a bit slow and some of the food came out cold. But we just chalked it up to be because, we were a party of 10 and they were somewhat busy that evening. Will likely go back in the near future to and hopefully the experience will be a 5 star.

stephanie c.

Yelp
The food was horrible at the Katy location. The Westpark location is definitely my favorite. The only reason I gave this location two stars is because of the waitress. She was very nice and attentive.

Bill M.

Yelp
Service and the smell are definitely something of an acquired taste. Very bad smell from the moment you entered and throughout the meal. It's off putting, I'm sure with the revenue they can move the manhole that's outside the hassle. The sewage gas is coming back in the grease trap. Probably hasn't been clean in a while. all these things, makes for a bad recipe that's it's almost a hygiene issue.

Anita S.

Yelp
We had Chandler for our server. She was just terrific! It was a super busy evening. But Chandler stayed on top of all our needs. The food was delicious. We had a salad and the fried gulf shrimp! It was great! With March Maddness in full swing, it was so great they had the games on! It was also great watching all the people enjoying the food and conversation! What a lovely evening my husband and I had! It's so wonderful being served so wonderfully, eating delicious food, and enjoying a fun enjoyable restaurant! Thank you Goode Food Company! You nailed it!

Alan S.

Yelp
The food was solid and the staff was attentive. I started off with the gumbo by recommendation of the person I was with (who had been multiple times.) The gumbo seemed a bit bland and I didn't feel it was worth the $9 for a cup. Had I come and eaten nothing else, my rating would have been a three. Thankfully, for them and me, I also ordered a main course. The shrimp etouffee. This was very flavorful. It would have been nice had there been a basket of garlic bread on the table rather than just the one piece they give you, but I made it work. I also enjoyed that it came with a seafood empanada which was also delicious. If I would have just ordered the etouffee and had a bit more bread this would have been a five rather than a four.

Brenda O.

Yelp
Camille was wonderful! Food was delicious, service was quick. Overall GREAT experience.

Bre A.

Yelp
Today, I visited Goode Company Seafood to satisfy my cravings for char-grilled oysters and an Old Fashioned. Upon arrival, I was greeted by a friendly and professional host who seated me at the bar. Carlos, the bartender, also provided excellent service, although I did have to send back one Old Fashioned due to the bourbon in the Armadillo Old-Fashioned not being to my liking. The second one with Woodford Reserved was a bit watered down even when I asked for light ice. Despite this, the char-grilled oysters were exceptional and I highly recommend them. However, it did take a while for Carlos to bring me the check, which was a bit frustrating. Overall, this location may or may not get another chance from me. Definitely will try the Westpark location next time.

Amanda G.

Yelp
Fabulous place! Only wish I knew about it sooner! Everything from the amazing staff to the detail of the atmosphere to the quality of the food and the flavors and everything they offer for pescatarians. I'm in awe! I feel like I found a gem, looking forward to becoming a regular. Sve me a spot at the bar, JC and Isabella , I will see y'all next time. Thanks again.!

Courtney D.

Yelp
It's Christmas Eve and we just enjoyed warm, attentive service at the Memorial location on Katy Freeway. Our server, Regina, was kind, prompt and helpful, and the manager confirmed my special order (dairy- and gluten-free) was satisfactory. The food was great and we had a fantastic experience.

Kishore B.

Yelp
My husband and my kids gave me a surprised birthday dinner and the food was delicious and service was good and I enjoyed the evening

Dominika S.

Yelp
So our server was fantastic no complaints there. Crab cake was delicious and that's where I will end.

Yelp
The food was great and fresh. Yes I know fresh seafood is something most automatically assume at a restaurant but y'all know it's not always like that. The shrimp and oysters where awesome. The best things on the platter was the red fish dip. Hands down amazing. Our server was great she was very attentive and took care of all our needs. As for the ambiance it can go both ways. You can go dressed up if you want or just laid back. It's a modern seafood house and the new building is great. Over all a great experience from top to bottom.

Helen N.

Yelp
For appetizers we got the gulf oysters which were delicious. For our entrees we got the mesquite grilled gulf red snapper and stuffed combo plate. Our favorites were definitely the red snapper and the lemon caper crab topper is a must get with it! The shrimp empanadas were alright nice side to the meal but I wouldn't order it on its own. The seafood rice was your less than average fried rice and no seafood flavor just the added shrimp. For the fried combo plate it came with 3 stuffed shrimp and a stuffed crab with hush puppies for side. I preferred the stuffed shrimp but he liked the stuffed crab. Both were delicious. Hush puppies had pecans which I didn't expect. They were alright better than the rice side in my opinion. For drinks we both had a round of whiskey smash, minty smooth great for a hot day. Overall I'd definitely come back for the gulf red snapper!

Sametra B.

Yelp
The service was impeccable! The menu has some pretty good dining options. I really enjoyed their margarita!! Definitely worth returning.

David O.

Yelp
Great service, fresh seafood, great selection, good value! Got the blanked redfish, tuna tar tar and dessert

Queen T.

Yelp
The drinks are good but the food is okay . I ordered redfish with capers and was not really what I had hoped. The fish was a bit dry and my order was wrong the first time it came out . Ambiance is cool but it has a bit of a weird smell to the place not like a seafood smell but like wet mop smell if that makes sense . I'd recommend the Corpus Christi drink it's very refreshing and quite addicting.

Hannah L.

Yelp
Great weekday lunch spot! My dad brought me here during my lunch break. The decor was beautiful and there is plenty of seating even during the busy lunch hour. Lots of parking too. The service was excellent. Our server was very friendly and very knowledgeable about menu items. I found the food to be very creative and fresh. I was pleasantly surprised by the Tex-Mex influence! It was busy during the lunch hour, but we were still seated right away. This location has booths and tables as well as bar seating. It feels both upscale and casual. We ordered pie and ice cream for dessert. It was excellent. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a lunch spot that's a bit more elevated than your typical restaurant grill.

Kristen R.

Yelp
My husband and I came here to eat after doing a little shopping, we were seated right away and given a menu. Ordered my food at 4:00 and over an hour later still had not received my food and watching everyone around us get theirs until my husband got up to ask the manager within seconds later our food was brought to my table makes me wonder how long my food was sitting under a heating lamp. No service here our waiter just walked by us with out looking our way. And the manager never once after to ask if things were ok. Would not ever recommend this place and only bc of service

Yelp
This is my favorite seafood spots in Houston. I've been to two locations and the experience is spot on every visit. Family friendly atmosphere would make a great dinner night or switch it up and make it's a date night! From the front counter (hostess) to the waitress service was excellent, thanks to Jo-Ann our server. Between two people our check came to about $180. We had drinks, couple rounds of oysters (raw and grilled) red snapper, mahi, and pecan pie; everything was delicious! Still one of my favorite restaurants in Houston.

Yelp
We had reservations for dinner. We were seated immediately no wait. Our server came right over and he was very attentive all night. My drink was good and just the right amount of alcohol in it. The food was good but the seafood rice could have used a tad bit more seasoning in it. I like the environment. It's on my list to revisit. There are a few things I want to try. The appetizers which I didn't get a picture of was the best!!

Yelp
The food was subpar....had the shrimp étouffée and a cup of seafood gumbo. I tasted my husband's red beans...pretty bland. I've tasted much better at Babins Seafood!! The best thing about the place was the ambiance and the service was great! We used to go to this place before they remodeled it and it was excellent! Needless to say, I was very disappointed!

Yelp
Best fried shrimp out that I've ever eaten. The only way they could be better is if I fried them at home myself. My other favorite the seafood rice was lacking flavor this time but I ate it all because I Love rice ‍

Yelp
As always, the food was good....but the service tonight was sooo disjointed and not good. Our first server disappeared for almost 40 minutes, finally had to go ask if I could get a server to take our order. Had a great server who filled in, but then our original server came back in. He was just not good....lots of dead time waiting. I'm in the hospitality business, so I understand there are issues sometimes if you are short staffed. But I didn't see short staff/not enough people on the floor to cover. Disappointed I couldn't compensate my interim server who was on top of it.

Yelp
SALMON dish daily special- grilled salmon topped w/ shrimp, pico, avocado, & creamy sauce. comes w/ a shrimp empanada (just ok to me), garlic bread, & choice of side (lots of food, not sure how much but maybe $26 according to other reviews). Salmon was SO good! It was cooked very well and the topping was delicious. I chose seasonal vegetables as my side which were green beans and potatoes (they were fine), date chose a side salad which was pretty big. waiter sold us on this entree, it's one of his favorites. when i asked what he recommended, he said they usually sell more of their daily specials than anything else. Today's was a redfish or salmon, date and I both chose salmon (originally he was going to order the CAMPECHANA DE MARISCOS appetizer which could be a meal for one). maybe next time! Came here Thursday at 1130am, and there seemed to be a good lunch crowd (looked like a lot of working folks during their break). Waiter was friendly and knowledgeable, service was good, salad came out quickly but entrees took awhile.
