Good Mediterranean store in Seattle; they have fresh cheese and meat as well as a variety food stiffs from various parts of Arab world; veg section is a bit small; frozen section is good Limited parking and narrow driveway so watch for it from the street

Wow. I’d give Goodies 10 stars if I could. Not only does their food taste fresh and delicious, but their customer service is A+! I was given a complimentary piece of fresh pita when I bought some of their dips and hummus. And their dips. Omg. The Green Sauce is my favorite! I can tell how high quality the ingredients are and yet everything is reasonably priced. I have been telling friends about Goodies and will continue to do so. Can’t wait to go back.

Google
The food! The green sauce I am in love with this place and the market beneath it. The food was so good and I bought a side of green sauce not knowing what that was. I tasted it and fell in love!!! So delicious!!!! I had to go downstairs and buy a big tub to bring home with me

Google
This store does not provide expiration dates on many of their products specially on some of the dips and other packaged products they make. I had two specific occasions one time with a moldy Knafeh sweet (no expiration date) and another one with a deli meat that was tasting expired. Of course I discussed this with the store, but have been seeing the same issue and I think it needs to be addressed.

Google
Awful Store front by the main road. Very bad esthetic, and an eye sore, and low class idea Especially with that chain link surrounding the front. Which is under the Goodies store sign. But once you you discover the store ,then you find this Amazing, Very nice place to shop for Mediterranean groceries. Lots of fresh cuts of different meat( Lamb, goat, beef) beautifully cut, prepared, and packaged. They have canned, frozen, refrigerated, and dry packaged groceries. Their shelves are full of many different specialty unique groceries, and snacks, and great selection of arabic,Turkish, persian,Palkan, Indian, and Pakistan food items They pay attention to neatness, cleanliness, good display, and show casing their products. Prices are on the higher side, but this is a specialty food store, and their groceries are unique, and very difficult to get. They are not items you can find in a regular common grocery store, expect to pay more. They have nice crew working in the meat department, and have really good customer service. Their casheir (Eidy) has an outstanding customer service, and friendly, welcoming attitude. Nice parking lot at the bottom of the driveway I recommend this place for shopping this type of groceries

Google
Went here to find Kataifi for Dubai chocolate!! They sell it here, a lot more affordable than the prices online. Staff very super kind and friendly. I recommend stopping by to see their other goods as well.

Google
Newly repaved parking lot. Somehow the hummus and baba ganouj are better here. And the olives. The breads are fresh.

Google
Great lil pizza place and various other meat/cheese/herb pies, good food. Well worth a visit. Had the yummy halal pepperoni pizza, tasty cheese excellent crust and just the right amount of sauce! The staff are very friendly and attentive as well...

Yelp
This market reminds me of growing up oversees. The smell of fresh feta, olives, and freshly spiced meat ready to grill warms my heart. It is hard to find the selection of pickled and Mediterranean goods that this market carries. I love seeing the cases of mineral water and soda outside of the market. Samira and the rest of the staff are really nice and it's an oasis in Lake city. Please support this local business. 10 stars.

Yelp
Good selection of ingredients for my cooking and fair prices! We will be back and hope to try their food.

Yelp
Love all the options at this store! My go to Arabic store. The staff tends to be friendly, and they have amazing halal option.
google avatar

Yelp
Locally owned Mediterranean grocery and restaurant. Produce is fresh and imported goods are the real deal. Halal butcher, excellent spice selection, bulk foods and so much more. The olive and feta bar is unique for Seattle. We'll work the trip to Lake City. The staff is helpful and welcoming. It's a small space but well stocked addition to my grocery shopping and a must stop for appetizers!

Haidar A.

Yelp
THIS place is one of the best places I've ever visited for halal meat and chickens. I highly highly recommend this market for shopping Arab food/halal meat and chickens. Their meat and chickens are 100% halal and fresh. The people working there are Arabs and their personality are AMAZING. They treat their customers with respect and care! There are so many great products to buy. Overall, this Market is the best of all with great quality halal food and meats. I thank them for serving their customers with best and fresh meat and chickens.

Yelp
This is a fantastic Middle Eastern Grocery store. It's small but it has a wide selection. I stocked up on spices that you can't get elsewhere in Seattle. They have an extensive selection of tahinis, olive oil, harissa, and cheeses. There's also a small produce and baked goods area. It's definitely a go-to whenever I need Middle Eastern ingredients.
google avatar

Yelp
I love Goodies so much. This is a clean, well organized, and friendly space with the kindest service and the most delicious array of spices, oils, snackies, breads, dips, spreads, and groceries around. It is very easy to be overwhelmed by all of the options and it is even easier to spend a lot more money than you expected to. Don't forget to stop at Man'oushe Express for a sublime falafel sandwich beforehand and don't forget to bring cash!
google avatar

Ash G.

Yelp
I always find what I need here lots of Arabic products and unlike a lot of international markers the expiration date is way way out (just remember most use the British format of date) don't forget to bring cash and you get a little discount. Lots of parking which is highly convenient!
google avatar

Shayan G.

Yelp
The best meat market in seattle hands down High quality meat at an affordable price. I specifically like the quality of their lamb. Organic grass fed and fresh. They have fresh orders in on Wednesday's and Saturday's. Try to come over on those days to get it as fresh as possible. The butcher is very friendly and gets to know you if you are a regular.

Yelp
Great food and market under restaurant has lots of "goodies" I always get home made desserts and olives

Yelp
Love this place. We found a few sauces and condiments that we hadn't come across at any other market. The people are nice and the food upstairs is really great.

Yelp
Small but convenient. I love the bread . They almost have everything you need meat , grocery, canned food!

Yelp
Had such a lovely experience here yesterday. Came in all frazzled because I needed dinner for some last minute guests. The staff was so thoughtful and truly invested in helping me put together a delicious meal. Thank you!
google avatar

Yelp
This is not OK. This product among other what should be frozen goods is from the standing freezer. $5.59 tossed right into the garbage.
google avatar

Yelp
Fabulous market with many authentic Mediterranean foods! The restaurant upstairs is FABULOUS. Some of my favorite Mediterranean food in Seattle. Great portion sizes and totally affordable. 100% recommend
google avatar

Yelp
They carry a lot of goodies from Turkey that I never thought I would see in the US and at decent prices. Will definitely be back for Turkish staples.

Yelp
I visited Goodies Mediterranean Market today and everything was way better. I was very happy with the service and the staff. Thank you!

Yelp
Great selections. Nice staff. Wonderful owner and good prices. The place is always clean. Easy parking. The pita bread is always fresh. Great selection of olive oil including a Palestinian Olive Oil.
google avatar

Julian S.

Yelp
This is my catch all shop for any Levantine or Persian spices, a lot of which are ground in store!Good prices and great selection -- they also have a good cheese, olive, and halal meat selection which I will certainly sample next time! IMPORTANT: $10 credit card minimum (not sure about debit)
google avatar

Ahmed B.

Yelp
I am giving 4 stars only because they don't accept credit cards. It's covid times comon guys. Doing a cash only transaction is no hygienic. Not to mention that it's annoying carrying 19 cents back with me after I get my change. I recently went to this place to buy groceries. They have halal meat. That's amazing! Halal chicken, lamb, beef and even marinated meats. They have good steak cuts which I so appreciate as a Muslim. There's also a small parking lot with 6 or 7 parking spaces so that's nice. They don't have too much produce but I mainly come here for meat. Upstairs they have their middle eastern restaurant. We ordered the shawarma and their pizza. The shawarma was okay but the pizza was amaze balls. I finally found a great pizza place in Seattle. Loved it. But the biggest annoyance, frustration and safety issue is that they only do cash. What is this 1990? Just accept credit cards or even debit cards if you don't want to incur the 2% credit cards fee. If even that is a problem then pass on the 2% credit card fee to your customers. Because I'd rather not catch covid due to poor hygiene practices like doing cash only.

Yelp
I love them! Displays of unique olive varieties, 5-6 kinds of feta cheese, a halal butcher on site most days, aisles of imported canned goods, frozen foods. What more do you want out of life?
google avatar

Joyce L.

Yelp
Thanks to Yelpers. I was able to find most of my 'hard-to-find' (I think) Mediterranean food ingredients in this store. This grocery is clean and well-stocked - from lamb, prepared meat, bread, limited pastries, fresh vegetables, nuts, spices, tea, coffee, fruit juices, dairy, spreads, sauces, candies, etc.. The two grocery staffs were very pleasant and helpful. The store is along a busy street and has its' own parking lot that you enter through a narrow strip...be sure to slow down and not to miss it.
google avatar

Ezgi E.

Yelp
We actually love this place and we love shopping there BUT the last frozen boreks we purchased turned out to be covered in mold. See the photos. One of them is a cheese borek the other is potato. This is pretty shocking and disappointing.. Please be careful with the products you sell. This is unacceptable.
google avatar

Yelp
Nice little place that I look forward to coming back so I can try more items. Customer service: at first I felt it was a little standoffish but after a few questions it was better and they will help you with recommendations if you don't know what you want. Food: good and made fresh. We got the labne and honey flatbread which was amazing. I wanted to order more but held back. We also tried the Zaatar flatbread. That was good but dry. I'd recommend going for the Zaatar and cheese which would make it a little less dry. Cleanliness: very clean and nice layout. You can find parking on the street.

Yelp
Olives, olive oil, kefir cheese, garlic sauce, tziziki sauce, Turkish coffee, cardamom tea, rope candies, Turkish delights, omg. . . Must. Come. Back. Booked-marked and cannot wait to recreate dishes from my travels. Thank you!

Carl E.

Yelp
The market is my happy place!! I always load up on fresh olives and canned hummus.
google avatar

Poppy M.

Yelp
Five stars every time for delicious, satisfying manousheh and other quick foods for a very reasonable price -- and the fact that, while you're waiting, there's an entire treasure trove of imports downstairs. I never leave without at least a pound of pistachio, rose, and nougat candies from the little bulk bar near the register. No matter where in the city I've been staying, a trip to Goodies has always been worth the drive.

Yelp
I was recommended this place by a friend who I asked for a recommendation for a good place to buy pomegranate molasses for a Persian dish I wanted to try to make. I was not disappointed! The name is so appropriate - the place is indeed filled with all possible goodies one might want from the Mediterranean :) I went in determined to come out with just one bottle of said molasses. But as I was trying to find my way to that bottle, I passed by the spice aisle with its different types of zaa'tar and baharat; then the produce wall with its persimmon, pomegranate, okra (!!!!!); then the dry foods aisle with its lentils of varied textures and colours; and finally the aisle full of Turkish delight. That was all just too much for my willpower to handle. I bought an item or two from each of these categories, and have been using them in my cooking almost everyday! Who knew zaa'tar would be amazing in Indian sabzis and also Italian pasta sauces? I mean, I didn't. I also got this pack of "chocodates", which were dates with the pits removed and stuffed with almond and coated in chocolate-- yum. The lentils, persimmon, and the molasses were all of excellent quality. I am so glad this gem exists so close to my apartment! I'll keep coming back. I also highly recommend this to my fellow Indians who might want to restock their spices -- no need to go all the way to eastside!

Yelp
We ordered a fresh Halal turkey for Thanksgiving. I called beforehand to make sure it was Fresh, not a Frozen one, because I could get the frozen one for half the cost elsewhere. The woman who places the orders told me it would be cold, but not frozen (35*, like the ones you'd get at Trader Joe's). We deep fry our Turkey, so it's essential that it's completely defrosted before you can cook it- it will explode if it has ice still inside. My husband went to pick it up and it's a block of ice. Not only that, the guy who was checking him out assumed my husband doesn't speak Arabic and called someone and said "I couldn't find the fresh one so I gave him one from the freezer." I will never go to this store again, and if you want your Halal things you should go to literally any other store UPDATE: I spoke to the owner (who was rude to me)on Tuesday, and he told me they would be getting another delivery "sometime Wednesday and they may have fresh turkeys on it." He told me fresh turkeys are *always* frozen (what?) completely, and that I was mistaken that they needed to be kept at 35 which is above freezing and the fresh turkey will not be frozen completely. Low and behold, FIVE PM THE DAY BEFORE THANKSGIVING he called and left me a voicemail saying they had received fresh turkeys that were not frozen. So he confirmed that he LIED to me, and that they *had* sold my fresh turkey and instead given me a frozen one. I spent the entire day defrosting a completely frozen turkey, changing the water ever 30 minutes, so that my turkey can be deep fried tomorrow. Do NOT trust these scammers.

Yelp
There are are a lot of Mediterranean markets in the Seattle metro area but this is definitely one of my favorites. Goodies Mediterranean Market is not visible from the street because the entrance is on the right side of the same building that Manoushe Express is in. You will need to turn down the small driveway right before the building. As you drive down Goodies will be on your left as you arrive at the bottom of the driveway. There is a small parking lot down there and I've always found a space. This market has a great selection of all kinds of items from many Mediterranean and middle eastern countries. I was really happy to find a large number of Turkish items including several different types of Turkish cheeses and Ülker biscuits. They also had nuts and dried fruit from Turkey including apricots and pistachios. I have always felt Iranian pistachios are the best and since we can't get them here in the states, Turkish pistachios are a close second. There is a wide variety of different types of bread so pick some up and you can freeze sone for ages weeks without them going bad. There is a dairy case with a large selection of cheeses including Turkish Kashkaval, Piknic Börek Peyniri, Antep, Yumusak Geleneksel Beyaz Peynir and Trakya Beyaz Peynir. I purchased the Kashkaval and Börek Peyniri. Both were great! They also have Tulum, sweet cheese, Feta and many more in the very front of the store. They also have yogurt. They have a wide selection of Sadaf Spices which are a staple in any Mediterranean market. They also have some of their own spices that they sell so I bought some of their dried mint. It was fresh, aromatic and also inexpensive. I would definitely try some of their other spices next time I'm in. They had a nice selection of olive oil. I prefer Italian or Turkish and I picked up a very good Turkish olive oil which was on sale. They also have a large selection of different oils including grape, avocado, coconut, sesame, canola oil and even ghee. They have fresh olives and olives imported in jars as well. I picked up two kinds of olives and they were perfect. They also have Ajvar or some other types of pickled red pepper or eggplant spreads available. If you have never tried Ajvar you should give it a try. Look for Ajvar or a product with both red peppers and eggplant. They have some hukas available as well as a selection of several types of Turkish tea glasses and sets. There are incense burners as well as frankincense incense and coal. This store has a large number of snacks including my Ülker biscuits. As always, they were awesome. There are also some other sweets you may want to try. You can also pick up some pasta and even fresh meats including some already seasoned, prepared and ready to be cooked. Everyone who worked here was so polite and friendly. I had several questions and they were happy to help me find what I was looking for. The young woman at the cash register was very helpful and even made some good recommendations! If you're in the area give this place a visit and when you're finished stop in at Manoushe Express upstairs before you leave.

Yelp
This place is authentic Middle Eastern food the market is excellent and that restaurant upstairs is outstanding the lamb is the best I've had and I will be coming back

Yelp
I love love love this place!!! Best kababs in Seattle, the Balady bread, garlic sauce and grilled olives are the bomb!

Yelp
I have visited Goodies multiple times in the past 3 years or so. The packaged goods and sweets (nougat/baklava) are decent and veggies/fresh produce arent the freshest but what you see is what you get. Visited twice since after Covid, to get fresh goat meat. The first time there was goat stew meat which was packaged and kept at the counter, which cooked excellently and was indeed fresh. The second time there was no goat meat packaged at the counter. A lady who was doing the billing/packing, went to the freezer and got a pack of packaged/frozen goat meat. I specifically asked when the meat was cut/packed since I've had bad experience in the past with frozen goat meat from other stores. She assured that it was packed on Monday; I was buying on Thursday. Cooking the meat that night I found that it was stale/old meat; the fat and bones tasted rancid. I would have appreciated not being lied to. Just for a mere $15 they lost a regular customer.

Yelp
Outstanding customer service. Would highly recommend going there. Your needs will be met. Their food is amazing!! 10/10

Betsy M.

Yelp
The most delicious French feta I've ever tasted! And all the ingredients for delicious, healthy Middle Eastern cooking. Plus, they are super nice and helped me find some spices I was unfamiliar with. Thanks, Goodies! I'm your new loyal customer.
google avatar

Laura S.

Yelp
Goodies is my favorite market in Seattle. They have a great variety of healthy Mediterranean foods. Excellent olives, nuts, cheeses and lebneh. The family-owned business is cozy and kind; they care about their customers and their employees. So glad Goodies is near my home so I can shop there regularly and also make quick runs for halveh, tahini, etc.
google avatar

Terry F.

Yelp
So glad there is a market in North Seattle where brown skinned people sell me labne, feta, bulghour, zatar, and tasty baba ganouj.
google avatar

Sasha N.

Yelp
There is no better Middle Eastern grocery store in Seattle. It's always stocked with everything I need and they have the best brands. The service is also nice--very friendly people! I make the trek up to Lake City for this store and it is worth it every time!

Amanda S.

Yelp
Just a cute, quirky little grocery and restaurant with an in-house butcher, a fantastic selection of fetas and olives, Middle Eastern delicacies and sweets, unusual produce (fresh garbanzos anyone?), and all run and staffed by just the sweetest, nicest people you'll ever meet. Oh and the prices are so good you'll think someone made a mistake, bring cash if possible to help them save on costs and keep it that way.
google avatar

Josh M.

Yelp
Delicious authentic Lebanese food. Homemade food made with high quality ingredients. (from their store located downstairs) It's a must try to anyone looking for authentic Mediterranean home cooked food. Prices are inexpensive(cash only) or an ATM inside. Very clean and visible kitchen as they put the fresh made flat breads in the open stone oven.
google avatar

Ada S.

Yelp
Delicious. Best Mediterranean in town. At a glance, it's very easy to overlook, but don't let appearances deceive you. Be prepared to eat quite a bit of food because the servings are large. Wide array of options and everything is delicious. My favorite is the Gyro wrap, the meat is cooked to perfection and the feta cheese ties it all together. Another great menu option is the pita and hummus. The hummus is home made and you get quite a large serving. The pita is made to order and is just the best pita I've had. The service is great and everyone is very friendly. I highly recommend going there and suggest going to the market downstairs as well.

Yelp
When I first spotted this place while travelling down Lake City Way I thought it was an odd place for a produce shop, but I stopped in anyways. Boy, am I glad I did. I walked out with a large bag of produce for only $3. They have all the stuff you'd expect from a produce market - tomatoes, fruit of the season, potatoes...-only it is all priced considerably less than anywhere else. There is ample free parking in a lot on the north side of the building too. In addition to the cheap produce you can also get Mediterranean grocery items here. There are spices, nuts, dairy and canned goods. All priced very reasonably.
google avatar

Suzie K.

Yelp
I love this place so much! Vimto, olives, feta, dates, spices, jars of grilled eggplant and any other Mediterranean or Middle East ingredient you can think of. Don't leave without garlic sauce and their famous green sauce. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. Best of all their prices are very reasonable. This place is a gem!

Seattlefamily 2.

Yelp
Unfortunately I have to give Goodies One star review, I when home looked at my receipt, prices where very different. On each item. Peppers $.49 I pay $.89 Soda $.99 I pay $1.39. Please take a look at what you buying before you live the store. Nice people! But don't want to pay for more then I have to.
google avatar

Evan L.

Yelp
Great selection of bread, meat, olive oil. This is the best Mediterranean market in the greater Seattle area.
google avatar

Daniella M.

Yelp
Great small market with fresh and imported goods! Don't forget to get some wraps or gyros at the restaurant on the second floor!
google avatar

Brian B.

Yelp
I have spent a lot of time in Dearborn, Michigan, and there are things I can't get as easily since I moved to Washington State. Good Lebanese pickles. Pickled turnips. Decent pita. etc.... Judged by Dearborn standards, this place would get maybe 3.5 stars. But here in the PNW, it is an amazing resource!
google avatar

Devany L.

Yelp
Love this place great tea and seasoning selection. Everyone is super nice and helpful. Their restaurant is yummy and has fresh made bread.
