Goodnow Farms Chocolate

First and foremost, their chocolate bars are amazing! I would describe them in two words: pure and harmonious. If you’re craving cocoa but don’t enjoy the acidity or heavy aftertaste most dark chocolates leave behind, their bars will hit just the right spot. They pair perfectly with a cup of black tea on a chilly New England fall afternoon—it warms me from the inside out. A quick note: this place isn’t usually open to the public, but we were lucky enough to run into the owner, Tom, who kindly gave us an impromptu tour. He was so friendly and knowledgeable! We learned a lot from him about what really goes into the chocolate we eat, and it’s reassuring to know it’s all made from genuinely good ingredients!

Hmm what can I say. I met Tom and Monica from a work event. They hired us to do security for there Halloween event. I wanted to write a review about there chocolate a while ago but things happen. I also wanted to try the chocolate 🍫 I got from them before I posted a review. I got the Putnam rum it melted in our mouth almost like a good fudge which I love, not much of a smell from the rum but the taste was on point kinda like I took a chocolate shot. The price is a little high but definitely worth it, knowing the history of where they got the raw materials to make the chocolate, the time they invested in traveling, knowing that there are a few ingredients in there chocolate it well worth it. Tom and Monica definitely have an awesome thing going, you can tell they have a love and passion for it as well. -Brett From Hub

Truly the pinnacle of quality Chocolatiers. Being Dairy Free, I never expected to be able to enjoy smooth chocolate again. Goodnow Farms EXCEEDS smooth texture using just the Single origin BEANS & their Extruded Fats - no nut milks involved. AMAZING texture, surprising notes of a wide range of flavors, much like wine or coffee beans. I feel so lucky that they are located right here in Massachusetts!! If you have a chance to purchase their chocolate or cocoa products, do not balk at the $$. This is WORTH every penny. If you get a chance to take a tour...you will learn why!

Eating this chocolate is an experience of textures and flavors that will blow you away. After visiting the farm, meeting Monica and Tom and hearing their passion and respect for each cacao bean and community, it is easy to understand why their chocolate is next level. Took a tour, the owners are incredibly kind and knowledgeable about chocolate. Also the chocolate... OMG the chocolate is SO GOOD! Seriously the best I've ever had in my life. Had to stop before I bought it all.

NOT A RETAIL LOCATION! The best chocolate, but this address is not for visitors. It seems they do make chocolate on site, and they occasionally do factory tours you can buy tickets for on their website. If you want to buy their chocolate nearby, go to Duck Soup 7 minutes down the road.

Incredible tasting chocolate. I was sent 5-6 different bars and I loved all of them. Not only that but the people who run good for now are some of the best folks I have had the pleasure of interacting with. Well worth the price.

Goodnow Farms chocolate bars are the smoothest, most delicious, and most delicately flavored chocolates I have ever tasted. I have been ordering my chocolate from them for a couple of years now and have always found the owners and staff very easy and accommodating to deal with. I recommend them unreservedly.
