4 Exciting Fall Openings That Should Be Worth the Drive From Boston | Eater Boston

"An award-winning Massachusetts artisanal chocolate producer (whose chocolates are sold at the Boston Public Market) will open public, by-appointment Thursday tours that give visitors a behind-the-scenes look at production. Tickets are $20 and include one bar of chocolate; the tour experience is slated to begin in mid-September 2022." - Valerie Li Stack

Truly the pinnacle of quality Chocolatiers. Being Dairy Free, I never expected to be able to enjoy smooth chocolate again. Goodnow Farms EXCEEDS smooth texture using just the Single origin BEANS & their Extruded Fats - no nut milks involved. AMAZING texture, surprising notes of a wide range of flavors, much like wine or coffee beans. I feel so lucky that they are located right here in Massachusetts!! If you have a chance to purchase their chocolate or cocoa products, do not balk at the $$. This is WORTH every penny. If you get a chance to take a tour...you will learn why!

Eating this chocolate is an experience of textures and flavors that will blow you away. After visiting the farm, meeting Monica and Tom and hearing their passion and respect for each cacao bean and community, it is easy to understand why their chocolate is next level. I didn't know I needed this until my first bite. Family Fave: Herbaceous Green Sichuan Pepper/50 Hertz. Thank you Goodnow Farms Chocolate!

Took a tour, the owners are incredibly kind and knowledgeable about chocolate. Also the chocolate... OMG the chocolate is SO GOOD! Seriously the best I've ever had in my life. Had to stop before I bought it all.

NOT A RETAIL LOCATION! The best chocolate, but this address is not for visitors. It seems they do make chocolate on site, and they occasionally do factory tours you can buy tickets for on their website. If you want to buy their chocolate nearby, go to Duck Soup 7 minutes down the road.

Incredible tasting chocolate. I was sent 5-6 different bars and I loved all of them. Not only that but the people who run good for now are some of the best folks I have had the pleasure of interacting with. Well worth the price.

I was going to order chocolate from their website, until I saw the price of $20 for not even a 2 oz bar of chocolate! Greedy company!

Best bars of chocolate I've ever eaten. They've spoiled me; can no longer eat most other "excellent" chocolate. Goodnow Farms Chocolate is pricey, but worth it. Just eat slowly. Their single source chocolates have varied unique flavors. And, they're ethically sourced by this small mom and pop producer.

We happen to be passing through the area and, after we reached out by email, Tom was nice enough to schedule a visit to the factory for us outside of the standard visiting booking hours. Tom is very easy to talk to and offers a careful and detailed explanation of the whole process and philosophy at Goodnow Farms - which, I can say with reasonable confidence, makes the best chocolate in the world. Wonderful people making very unique and delicious chocolate!
