Google
My wife and I have wanting to try this place out to see what the hype was about. My wife appreciated all of the gluten and dairy free options, and enjoyed her meal. I enjoyed my meal as well, I got the protein scramble, and while it wasn’t bad, it seemed like it was lacking flavor/seasoning, but the fact that everything is organic, regenerative, and clean-focused, I was able to overlook that. All in all, definitely worth a try!

Google
The food was very disappointing, especially given the high prices. The avocado toast was literally just a piece of bread and a few slides of avocado and tomato thrown on top, like a robot dropped it all one after the other. No spices, no nothing. The scramble wasn't much better unfortunately. There are so many better options around! SKIP!

If it wasn't for the people racing up and down Pac Hwy, this place would be perfect. The screaming motorcycles and dopes with loud exhaust echo through the restaurant. We had to yell through the noise during lunch. The food was fab and so was the service. About a 10 min wait to get into the door. I'll be back...

No cash. Accepts credit cards & Venmo. No wifi. No outlets. Indoor and outdoor seating, along with some seats at the bar. Coffee was great. I ordered the Cashew Vanilla latte, which came out in a large ceramic mug. Alternative milk: * Cashew * Coconut Veggie burrito was meh, okay. Came served lonely on a plate, by itself, no sides, so it looked the a meager $15 burrito. *They do Not cook with bad seed oils.* No canola, soy, or corn oil. Excellent!

Google
Great little diner right on coast Hwy in Encinitas. It’s small with a little organic store attached to the side of it. The staff are really happy, bordering on delightful. Food is solid and consistent. Standard American fare, organic style but not hippy dippy with a few decent twists. Pancakes are amazing and the bacon is good. Breakfast sandwich is easy and tasty. Great drinks, outdoor seating and some inside. Separate counter for to go orders - smart owners. 2 clean bathrooms - one has a changing station if you bring the kids. North County San Diego is full of wealthy people with has mostly horrible restaurants. This one stands out far above the rest. Definitely worth a shot if you’re considering.

Google
I love eating organic and expected GOODONYA to deliver the goods. But this place was all hype and very disappointing. We placed a big order for the office and everyone's food was just ok. Yes fresh, but $20 for a $5 salad, $17 for a veggie wrap. Adding some tuna or chicken for $6 was an option but it still would not have saved the salad. They acted put off that we asked for a receipt. Customer service is non exist. Why do places that strive to be healthy and organic lack that warmth and connection to the fellow man, that clean living should exemplify?

Google
A unique resto+market service top notch organic foods catering to all audience, Vegan, Paleo, Keto, Vegetarian and Pegan. You body naturally feels good after eating a clean meal. Top the food off with their Kombucha. They even got a small marketplace behind the restaurant with a small bakery in it.

Google
Goodonya is a great restaurant with a wonderful concept - everything on the menu is organic & non-GMO. I had the fried egg plate, and it was very good. The Iced Naughty to drink was AMAZING! My wife ordered the turkey sandwich with cranberry relish, and she loved it. My daughter had the chicken salad sandwich, and my son had the kid's corn dog with a side of fries. Everyone was happy, and we ate everything! The next time we're in Encinitas, we'll be back!

Yelp
So great to have this healthy eatery open on an Easter Sunday ! Great spot we love it long time

Aiko N.

Yelp
This is a simple restaurant with a simple menu; it's nothing I cannot make myself at home. However, it was nice to visit while catching up with a friend. I ordered the Fried egg plate; the eggs were a perfect over-easy and I wasn't sure what "sweet potato hash" would look like, but I wasn't at all impressed (see photo). Everything was clean and fresh though. We dined on the patio, which was lovely. There's plenty of seating indoor and out, and the tables are spaced nicely apart. People-watching and seeing the city slowly wake up would have been awesome except for the high number of homeless wandering about. We came on a not-busy Tuesday morning, and service was not rushed. I would probably come back if friends want to visit but I would much rather go to Peace Pies for lunch to be honest. Pros: - walkable location - fresh ingredients, small menu - lunch available all day - Cons: - parking sucks (go to the transit center) - a bit pricey

Yelp
Wooo! I'm on a review roll! Just reviewed Tsuruhashi in FV and came out here with a friend to try this place out after our workout! It is located on a busy street in Encinitas so expect parking to be a little bit difficult on weekends. Place does get busy as well so expect a wait. They can accommodate bigger parties as well but mainly outside. They do have a patio for outdoor seating incase you have a dog as well! We were quoted about a 25 minute wait for a party of 2 on a Sunday at 12:30pm. It did take about that time as well! We sat down and began to look at the menu. 100% organic as it is touted but the main dish that interested me was the protein scramble! I also ordered a iced vanilla mint as a beverage. My friend ordered a cashew vanilla latte and when our drinks came out we did ask our server for sugar. He took a long while and mind you the place is pretty busy so when the hostess came by we asked for sugar again and she forgot as well. Finally when our food did come out, our sugar came as well. Little bit of a fumble but recovered fine haha. The protein scramble consists of eggs, sausage, cheddar, mushroom. It is also served with sourdough toast and butter as well. Alone, the scramble tasted fine! But I would really suggest you add some hot sauce on it because it does enhance the flavors way more! My favorite though was my iced vanilla mint latte! The mint accentuated the vanilla taste which was definitely refreshing to drink. Definitely order this if you come here and you are a coffee drinker! Overall, this place is good. It was around $20 for my meal and it is a good amount of food and beverage for what you pay for. A little fumble on the service but that can always be fixed and worked on. I would say this place is solid though. Me and my friend wished we sat outside too in that really nice outdoor patio too!

Nathan R.

Yelp
Are you kidding me? - I ordered a Scramble Protein - I added avocado and bacon. I expected some avocado, and maybe a few eggs, but I got this picture attached. This is what $26 gets you... I don't care if your chickens have never been touched by humans and only ate organic wild caught birdseed - this is a disgrace. It also doesn't help that they couldn't care enough to include the avocado I paid $3 for. Look, I get it, it's organic and overpriced but this is beyond an insult for eggs and sausage/bacon - this is unethical.

Kate S.

Yelp
I love the ingredients and what this place stands for but I have never really had good service there.

Karen T.

Yelp
Huge fan of the food here. The dishes I've had relatively simple and straightforward but what they do, they do well. They use great ingredients and they're packed full of flavor. It does take some time to get food, but I feel like it's worth the wait. I have yet to have a dish that I haven't liked here. So far, the Baja scramble was a big crowd pleaser the first time I came here- all three of us ordered it and liked it. The second time I was feeling a scrambled egg sandwich, and I loved that the bread came grilled like a grilled cheese. My server directed me toward the beef chorizo and I was real happy with that addon. Will definitely be back, hopefully sooner than later!

Mel H.

Yelp
If you are looking for healthy fresh organic breakfast item, this is a must try. We ordered their protein scramble that had sausages and eggs with a side of pancakes. This is a no frills place, just good food. The scrambled protein eggs were fluffy and tasty. Their pancake is not your typical overly sweet pancake and on the thinner side but still delicious with maple syrup. Our waiter was helpful and checked on us periodically. Great little cafe in the heart of Encinitas.

Saul S.

Yelp
Great service clean fresh food, what more can anyone want !! Their cashew dip with sliced cucumbers, it's amazing.

Rae N.

Yelp
Not great. We went here on a Saturday afternoon about 1.5 hours before closing. It was pretty empty. Service was really slow, and it took the waiter a long time to visit our table at all. We didn't get water until our food arrived. I was pretty disappointed in the food. The eggs were incredibly dry and seemed like they were microwaved or sat under a heat lamp for 20 minutes. The black beans were just thrown in eggs with some cheese, and they didn't bring me avocado even though it came with the Baja scramble. The waiter asked if I wanted to be charged for it, but I said no thanks. I was about to get up and go to the front to ask for a menu to check when he brought the avocado and apologized, which was nice. I picked around and ate the edible parts with the avocado. What was left was rubbery eggs that were hard to cut into and bouncy. I do really like that they have mostly gluten free dishes and clean ingredients, but the slice of sourdough bread was the best part of the meal.

J C.

Yelp
We came for a late breakfast and I can't imagine we'll come again. I ordered 'the Jackie' breakfast sandwich and it was the most pathetic sandwich I've ever had for $15. It was an egg, 2 strips of bacon, and a slice of cheese on a roll. That's it. No sauce of any kind... an aioli or herbed mayo or SOMETHING would've been a nice touch. It was boring and a total rip-off. We also had breakfast tacos and those were a better value and not terrible.

Jonathan G.

Yelp
Excellent customer service! Food is well done and organic and came out quick for our 7 top - perfect kids menu for our little one. Delicious and high quality coffee drinks.

Jesus G.

Yelp
This place is a cute cafe that has fresh pastries and coffee and latte drinks and is located in a nice downtown area. Plenty of food options. My scramble was good but a little light especially for the price. Overall friendly service. The wait wasn't too bad for a Sunday morning.

Yolanda C.

Yelp
I firmly believe that health is wealth, and this place truly embodies that philosophy. From the moment you step in, you're greeted with an array of organic and nutritious options on the menu. The staff here are incredibly friendly, and the service is always prompt, whether you're in a rush or have ample time to savor your meal outdoors. Don't forget to grab some bone broth to take away for later - it's a perfect addition to your wellness routine. For those with sensitive stomachs or a strong desire to eat clean, this establishment is a must-visit. I highly recommend it!

John R.

Yelp
Great outdoor seating and healthy options. Solid menu and quick and easy to get in and out for a meal. I came here for brunch over the weekend, no wait and excellent food and service. Recommend for a nice outdoor brunch!

Lori L.

Yelp
Freaking yes. 100X yes to GOODONYA. I wish there were more! The food is delicious and clean. Love the emphasis on organic and natural ingredients here. I tried the pesto chicken sandwich and was hooked on that. I love the homemade pesto sauce. I highly recommend trying it! I also tried the sauerkraut turkey sandwich. I really like this as well, I did get pesto on the side for this one too. Give me all the pesto. That is a threat. Alas, this was all I got to try before I left san deigo. I loved the friendly staff here, the food can be a wait but it's worth it. Be patient and check out the awesome shop! There are gifts, candles, cards and Lots of health supplements, healthy foods to explore. Relaxing environment. A welcoming and wonderful gem this place is.

Trecia L.

Yelp
We came here for lunch on a Saturday. We we told the wait would be 15 mins for inside and 30 mins for outside. We opted for what was first open. It was less than 15 mins and we were seated outside. Luckily it was a nice day out. While waiting, we checked out the market next door. I couldn't decide on a sandwich so the wait person suggested the chicken pesto or roasted veggie. I went for the pesto chicken sandwich with sourdough bread. My husband got the California burrito. It came out hot and it was all tasty! Note: they offer gluten free sourdough bread for your sandwiches too! Tip: if you check in on Yelp, there's a discount offer for dinner at the time we checked in. We didn't use it since we're weren't there for dinner but that just means we have to come back.

Jaiden N.

Yelp
Stopped by for a quick breakfast, not too crowded and I stayed outside. They have heaters to keep you warm when it's cold and I was able to bring my puppies with me in their baggie. The coffee was super delicious... too bad I forgot what it was named!!! It was the right amount of foam and sweetness. The Tuna Salad was alright, tastes similar to canned tuna lol... Service was fast and very kind. One of the waitresses and I chatted for a brief moment, it shows that she cares and enjoys talking to people! I love when the staff take the time for customers to feel special! They have a cute shop next door with small trinkets and goodies you should check out after/before you dine-in.

Brandon B.

Yelp
Everything here is organic and very tasty. I was not sure since organic and sometimes mean not as delicious. We also had very friendly service. The bone broth, chocolate, chip cookie, and brownies were all great. The brownie which actually is made very healthily is so delicious. We only wish they were open for dinner.

Keri M.

Yelp
Slow service but overall a good spot, with good food. Love that everything is organic, and Non-GMO! Location is great, other than the lack of decent parking. Have a seat on the patio, there's plenty of umbrellas!

chris d.

Yelp
Stoppe here on our day in Encinitas for breakfast. So good. I am not a big organic/vegetarian person but the food is really amazing. Cool vibe, good service, great location, and yummy food!

Melissa B.

Yelp
Great spot to stop at if you're looking for a healthy breakfast or lunch in Encinitas. They have a great section of sandwiches, salads and wraps as well as so many fun lattes. I got the sprout probiotic wrap & the turkey Kraut Grilled Cheese Sandwich to split. The wrap was super refreshing and light, great if you're looking for a veggie option but still very flavorful. The grilled cheese was amazing, definitely more substantial but still didn't feel super unhealthy like a normal grilled cheese. Would highly recommend asking for the habanero hot sauce on the side! Service was also great and very attentive, lots of options to sit outside and they just put in a shop next door with lots of health foods, wine, and boutique items.

Lorraine M.

Yelp
We've come here a couple of times on Saturday mornings to enjoy a well balanced and healthy breakfast. It's a nice change of pace from the brunch spots that leave you feeling bloated and ready for a nap after. I enjoyed a nourishing veggie bowl with chorizo for extra protein and it was a great filling portion size. My partner likes to get the California breakfast burrito as he's usually refilling after a long bike ride. We typically opt for an indoor seat for quick service but if you have the time to wait for an outdoor patio spot it's a great option on a warmer morning.

Jessi C.

Yelp
Delicious and healthy and fresh! In LOVE with the fresh salad and the sunflower shoots! Perfect for clean energy food. I'll definitely be coming back to devour that salad dressing again.

Rachael A.

Yelp
This is one of my favorite spots of all time. Every time I come here I have an amazing experience! Diego or Kelsey usually takes care of me and they are two of the most friendly, kind, and accommodating people ever! The hostesses are always super sweet as well. I literally look forward to seeing them every time I go in. The food is super consistent and always tastes incredible. I love that they use clean, organic ingredients with no seed oils. This place is a 10/10 and I love being a regular here. I always get the Baja scramble and the repair latte. Thank you everyone in the FOH and BOH for your hospitality and great work!

Willatie R.

Yelp
Food: 7/10 The California Burrito and pancakes were standard and what you could expect at any brunch location. The mushroom root beer was an interesting menu item that tasted very similar to normal root beer. Vibe / Service: 10/10 - They were very accommodating and sat us quickly for a party of 7 even though we only had 3 people present. The inside is cute and the staff were friendly and attentive. While we chose to not sit outdoors due to the cold weather, the outside area was very popular with stone fires and heaters. Parking: 8/10 - Street parking only. We had no trouble finding parking around 9 am on a Sunday but did have to walk about a block. Facilities: 4/10 - We had to constantly bat away flies which was annoying. The bathroom was in the attached store next door which was a bit inconvenient.

Cailey O.

Yelp
This place is business in the front, party in the back. The restaurant is right next to the little market where you can get grab and go/take out food and beverages. We chose to sit in the dining room. I had a really hard time deciding what to get to eat because there at just too many good options! I ended up getting the chicken pesto sandwich, and it was so fresh!! My only critique was that it needed some salt. The French fries are excellent, but don't get them if you don't want to feel diet guilt - they're VERY greasy and fatty, considering they are fried in tallow (animal fat) Service was outstanding! Our hostess, Alex was the star of the show. She gave excellent beverage and entree suggestions. We went on a Sunday afternoon and it was busy, but not packed. I asked the waiter and he said the best time to snag a spot for dinner is a Thursday night since it's never too crowded then!

Tomo F.

Yelp
Love this place! Great drinks, gluten-free options, and flavorful food. Perfect spot for a healthy breakfast with friends. Staff are super friendly and helpful. Highly recommend!

Laura S.

Yelp
I'm kind of annoyed at how uninteresting this place was. Good reviews abound, right? Meh. I got a lavender London fog and it was so boring, I didn't finish it. I also got an avocado toast which maybe should have been listed as tomato toast because it was way more tomato than avocado. Again, really boring, like I'm certain that you make better avocado toast at home. Our service was mid.

Carly G.

Yelp
Really good food, but I can't believe I paid $28 for a gf thai chicken wrap. Quite expensive especially for the size.

Alexandra K.

Yelp
The food was good, they had a lot of options for a variety of dietary restrictions. We were able to easily accommodate vegetarian, gluten free, & picky kiddos. However, the service is so slow. It was over an hour from placing the order until food arrived & we were consistently running out of drinks. I wouldn't recommend the GF bread for sandwiches, it wasn't sturdy enough for the options but if you're okay eating it with a fork and knife it's great!

Jessica X.

Yelp
First time! We were dog sitting and wanted to explore encinitas... saw this place on Yelp and had to try it! And boy did we have a happy tummy after. Ordered mimosas because it's 5 o'clock somewhere! Pancakes for me and breakfast burrito for him. Omg the food tasted sooooo fresh! I felt so healthy but sooo good and you can never get that. It's usually either one or the other. They also have a cute shop inside that has all the cutest things. So tempted to buy everything. But we saw bone broth on the menu and saw you could purchase it so we did at the store. Idk if my boyfriends taste buds are super salty but he said that the bone broth we bought from them didn't have much flavor but I enjoyed it. This place is cute! And anytime we dog sit we will be coming back for-sure!!!!

bridget m.

Yelp
Best food and atmosphere in Encinitas a lot of restaurants say they're healthy but don't use the best oil. These guys are legit everything taste amazing and so glad they are in our town.

Karma B.

Yelp
I've always loved this eatery as a restaurant but their private dining space is my NEW FAVORITE PLACE to host a party. Just had my daughter's 16th birthday in their "wine lounge" (we didn't serve wine). It's an adorable patio with a covered dining area that seated the 16 girls very comfortably. It's got the perfect Encinitas vibe and was completely Instagram worthy for all the discerning teenage girl. The staff was attentive and accommodating, the food was delicious (of course) and my daughter felt completely spoiled. It was especially nice to be able to work directly with executive chef Sarah Spry on designing the menu since my daughter is gluten-free, vegan, and allergic to nuts.

Terri K.

Yelp
Perfect for gluten free & dairy free people! Healthy, yummy & variety of choices for all. Came at noon on a Friday & we were able to get indoor seating right away. We had fabulous service from Lexi today with guidance on menu options. Berry tea latte was wonderful. Hard kombucha was good. Highlight of meal was the gf avocado toast. Both the fried egg avocado toast & the sweet potato hash avocado toast were delicious. Prices are not cheap, but healthy eating costs more, & the portions are generous. Can't wait to come back & try many other menu items!!

Sal R.

Yelp
Came in on the way to work, sat at a small, Pub table, on the window. Had the Baja Scramble, which was really good. Wait staff was super friendly, service was quick, and the place had a nice Vibe.

Blu W.

Yelp
My super picky eater LOVED their pancakes! He said they were the best he has ever had! Total win! I had the Thai salad which was scrumptiously mouth watering delicious!! Everything single item on this menu is organic, almost every item is gluten free and there are lots of vegan options. We will be going back without a doubt! I highly recommend this place!!

Jack P.

Yelp
Good Onya Came to good onya for breakfast while in Encinitas, and it was great! I got an iced latte with caramel and almond milk and it was creamy and delicious. I had the protein scramble with sausage and mushrooms and it was very good. It came with bread and butter which was the real gem. I had to ask for a little extra butter so I could lather it on, and the sourdough was crispy and tasty. Really cute place, I would definitely go back!

Denette T.

Yelp
This is a great place to grab a healthy and quick meal to go! Cute lil inside and gift shop if you need a prezzie on your way. Nice and friendly staff. Yummy food and drinks. Parking can be tricky but there's several lots around you can park and walk from.

Lola Z.

Yelp
Fresh and healthy! Nice ambiance and friendly service. You can't go wrong with anything here.

Kat T.

Yelp
Came here on a Sunday. We were told a 10 minute wait, but waited much longer more like 20-30 minutes. We were seated at a table when we asked to check on the time. They forgot to give us a menu, so when the waiter came he asked if we were seated by the host or we helped ourselves to a seat. Maybe it was an off day. The food was alright. We sat outside.

Sony M.

Yelp
Went for lunch today (Monday afternoon) at this place. It wasn't crowded at all. I placed my order 10 mins after arriving. 20 mins went by and then the sever came back to ask if I would like to place my order .. I told him I already did. He comes back 5 mins later to tell me my order isn't in and I need to place it again. I told him Once Again what my order was. Then waiting another 20 mins for it to come out only to get this soggy piece bread in it. Clearly it was made and kept out for a long time before it was brought to me. I still paid my full bill, something I regret now. If this is the kind of service You get on slow days I can't imagine what they do when the place is full. Definitely never going back here.

David C.

Yelp
I loved this place until after struggling to park and unloading kids we arrived at 3:42 they seated the party in front of us and told us they were now closed. when I said to them that they. are open until 400pm they told me too bad, we are closing now. if you advertise a 400pm close then seat people until 400pm !

jessica m.

Yelp
100% awesome but service is sometimes slow when it's busy! But the food is good and drinks are good

Andrea G.

Yelp
I would come back to this place just because of Athena, truly. She was the first face you saw and spent so intentional with each customer yet so attentive to the others coming or in line. She was so knowledgeable & helped me narrow down what items I purchased. The products are top notch, & there is a PLENTIFUL variety of products from health foods to self care to home decor. Definitely stop in! I was roaming the store for 30min...

Single Sasha T.

Yelp
Excellent fresh organic food ! Great service and friendly staff! Had the protein plate with eggs

John B.

Yelp
Always great service and good healthy food choices. The road outside can be quite noisy.

mary c.

Yelp
I loved this place before they expanded to a full service/ sit down restaurant and wine bar. The quality of the food is still top notch, but it's such a scene now! Long wait times and slightly higher prices.

Tyler W.

Yelp
Lovely staff. Highest quality food. Absolutely A+. Grateful to have found this spot awhile back, it's my go to!

Jason M.

Yelp
Last time. Tried it once more and left there paying over $50 for nothing. $17 sandwich came with nothing. I mean nothing. 4 sprigs of sprouts on the side, no option without paying more for a side. Not even a freakin pickle! Overpriced. Do not care that it is "organic" it's overpriced. Taste: OK but not worth $17 with no side. If I added a side, $3+, drink $3+ looking at $23 for myself. That's nuts for the amount of food. Most of the other items I have tried are bland and boring. Not the best at seasoning. Nectarine Grove is a way way better deal and the food is much better. I get twice as much food for less. A similar sandwich is 2x the food, plus fries or salad on the site for $15-17.00 Not sure why people are paying so much for this food. The place looks like it knows what it is doing but it does not. Food is bland, service is slow and prices are outrageous. It may be a "cute" spot and offer "clean" organic food but it's not worth it, trust me. Everyone who eats here must have no idea what food is suppose to taste like. Never coming back.

RoLee R.

Yelp
I really want to like this eatery as I love the concept, but the value for money is not there... my chicken paillard was bland and just look at the pitiful plating. Is that supposed to be attractive, putting the bits of food in the corners of the plate? Couldn't even put more salad on the plate or some other veggies? I don't even think I got 4 oz of chicken. I appreciate that it's pastured but I expected more. If it tasted better I would have let the stinginess slide Also I'm skeptical of using rice bran oil to deep fry French fries, it's an industrial oil with too much omega 6 and not enough omega 3. It's just trendy. I would love to see restaurants go back to frying in beef tallow which is much better (the vegetable oil industry and its moneyed benefactors dispute this, of course).
