I had heard good reviews about this place, so I thought I'd try it on my birthday. A twelve ounce latte drink here is $8 minimum, but it's organic and seems well sourced.
I ordered 2 drinks; the first drink took around 15 minutes to arrive and then was only about 3/4 full, so I had to get them to fix it.
Their credit card machine did ask for an initial tip, but I don't necessarily appreciate the compel to tip before service is rendered. It really seemed like this was something that affected the service I received. My friend was delivered his drink in good time and the people around us got theirs, while I had to ask for mine repeatedly.
Despite this, we were committed to spending time together for the morning, and it is a fairly nice place. My friend offered to buy my next drink. Upon ordering the second drink; I asked for a honey marshmallow to go in my butter coffee, but they gave me a go around with it and told me that they would only do it 'this one time' because honey marshmallows are for hot chocolate and not for coffee. Did they really have to give me a talking to about my marshmallow request when it's an extra they offer? It was confusing, and didn't add to the experience in a relaxing way. The second drink was quicker to arrive though.
The tallow French fries we ordered were, in my opinion, overcooked, very dark, and not very delicious... getting the "it's fine" review.
I did my best to keep smiling!
There was only one waitress that barely smiled back!!!
I don't know all the behind the scenes at this place, but it was a very weird and disappointing experience. I'm sure others probably have had better experiences here, but I can't see myself going back when I can enjoy good service and organic food and drink at home for a fraction of the price. 🤦♀️
I really wish I had a different review to give!
