Google
This is an absolutely fantastic shop for all your cooking needs, along with things you didn't even know existed! This was one of our favorite shops during our 5 day trip to town.

Love it there! Always has high quality cookware and great ingredients! Everyone is always so nice and helpful!

If you are looking for a place that has really high quality kitchen items look no further. The brands you only see online are in the store. The staff is so helpful.

Good service and excellent products that rival high end cooking gear shops like Sur La Table. They have the high end home chef gear AND restaurant grade tools at good prices

I'm here all the time. I'm sure they're tired of seeing my face. That being said, the staff at Goods for Cooks are always ready to offer helpful suggestions about what you're buying, what you're thinking about buying, what might be good to buy, general conversation, you name it! They are above all knowledgable and friendly. Even if you're not buying anything, the knowledge about cooking utensils and methodology and general food or cooking suggestions of all nature is simply amazing. This store has such variety, and is frequently rotating its stock to keep even its most frequent (me) visitors entertained and delighted. It is well organised, clean, and logical, which I certainly appreciate. This shop is my guilty pleasure and it's extremely difficult to leave without being presented with something you do /need/ that you hadn't thought of before. This just goes to show that Goods for Cooks has everything you could need, and if they don't have it (highly unlikely) they are happy to track it down for you. This shop, in my opinion, is a true gem for anyone interested in cooking, food, or home goods, or just a darn good present. If you go here and don't see a single thing you want to buy I would be shocked. I'm forever grateful to the fantastic staff that organize and maintain shelves, give recommendations, and keep a cheerful atmosphere in this locally owned store.

Great selection, friendly people, and awesome gift wrapping service. I just bought a gift for my spouse's birthday, and she was very impressed with the wrapping paper and bows.

Google
Writing a review because we left Bloomington but I miss this place! Great food, wine, cookware, pretty towels, aprons, cook books. The list is endless. My favorite place to shop for the holidays.

Google
I could not say enough kind words about Goods for Cooks! They have a wide selection, of both food items and cookware. They have everything for novice cooks to expert chefs! Steve in particular was incredibly helpful and kind, and let us taste several olive oils and balsamic vinegars to inform our selection. They have a lifelong customer, and Steve has a lifelong fan!

Yelp
This store is AMAZING! They have almost everything you could ever need as someone who loves to cook including some unique finds I have not seen anywhere else. Price point is moderate (I spent $100 for some high quality seasonings, Mexican cocoa, tea and a wooden salt box for my kitchen). The owner was very kind and let me try a sample of the Mexican cocoa before buying. I would have gotten the pumpkin crock pot but it was just a little out of my budget, it was gorgeous! Highly recommend stopping in if you are staying in town, it is a few doors down from the Hilton/Hyatt hotels.

Yelp
This store is my happy place. I go out of my way to make a stop here if I am ever in Indiana for any reason. This is a perfect stop for anyone that loves to cook, bake or eat! Prices are a bit higher, but that is to be expected for a small, locally owned business. I have never left the store without finding something special (or a few things).

Yelp
If you love cook at all or know somebody who does... this is the store. If there is any kitchen gadget to be had, I am certain you can find it here. German knives, clay pots, kitchen towels, reusable straws with carrying case, cake pans, pots and pans and ladles... whatever you need to prepare that dish. The staff is friendly, helpful and most importantly knowledgeable. If only I lived closer... thank goodness I do not because I'd buy all.

Yelp
Across form the courthouse in Bloomington is a shop filled with kitchen items (utensils, bowls, cups, etc) and specialty foods (salsa, teas, bitters, mixes, and dressings.) What makes this place unique is that the shop is split into two halves, separated by a central hallway. The right half has more of the tools while the left has more of the food items. I was pleasantly surprised at the variety of options within each category. I will say that I have seen most of it in other places around town and central Indiana, but the shop had done a nice job of gathering them into one place. They also have a sign up sheet in the lobby area for cooking classes. If I lived closer, I might be tempted to get back into that again. Review #2309

Yelp
Neat store filled with kitchen items and cooking ware. They have an exceptional collection of French-made Crueset ware dutch ovens and pans. Loads of other stainless and/or copper clad ware. Nice friendly and helpful employees. Heard the current owners are retiring and selling the business. Here's hoping the same type of people take it over...it would be a shame to lose this neat business.

Yelp
An excellent kitchen and culinary store. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. I have purchased some bakeware, cleaning supplies, and other kitchen essentials here, but I mostly keep going back for the olive oil and vinegar selection. I have purchased several Spanish olive oils and some sherry vinegar here, and one of the employees of the store turned me on to an excellent white balsamic vinegar that they offer. If you like to cook and care about the quality of some of your most basic ingredients, this place is worth a (monthly) visit.

Yelp
Such a great store. You can find so many items here that you would not expect to find. It's a real delight for people who like to cook (and eat)! Today I received customer service that went above and beyond. The metal filter screen from my trusty old French Press coffee pot was worn out. I went into Goods for Cooks to buy a new filter. Unfortunately, they were sold out of the size I needed. The clerk, after a bit of deliberation, took a filter from a French Press set and sold me the part I needed. The clerk's actions saved me from a trip to the Mall to search for my filter at Target or one of the other big chains. Thanks to her I didn't have to go online and shop at Amazon and wait for the part to ship. This kind of customer service keeps people coming back to Goods for Cooks. We are lucky to have this business on the square here in Bloomington.

Yelp
Absolutely love this spot. It is jammed packed with $2 kitchen must haves to Staub Ware. You can literally spend an hour browsing for things you didn't know you needed including that really beautiful apron just perfect for you to show off! This spot is locally owned and should be highly supported. It's a William Sonoma meets Sur La Table but local and better!

Yelp
I love this store. The staff are so friendly and will do tastings with you and talk about food as long as you like! I've found some wonderful gifts in here. The prices are reasonable and I like supporting small, local businesses. Try the olive oils and vinegars!

Yelp
There are two sides to this business, one are cooking goods, and the other are "gourmet" food stuffs. The kitchen/chef goods are for home kitchens rather than commercial kitchens, but I've seen local chefs shop here. Everything from knives to baking pans to expresso machines are on the N side. On the S side are cooking oils, sauces, and a wide variety of mixes and even fresh goods like cheeses sausages and even lox. Goods are of high quality, and not the Dollar General variety in any way. This is a place where you would find four sizes of ramekins. If you're a cooking geek, foodie-with-a-flair, or just need quality kitchen and baking components, this a decent gear shop. It's not inexpensive, but the quality is consistently high.

Yelp
Great selection of kitchen items and cookware, much more unique than a big box store. The 3 things I bought today were the same price on Amazon, except it supported the local community. Can't get better than that!

Yelp
So you may be thinking you have to go to that big box home goods store to pick up whatever kitchen implement you may need. Think again because Goods for Cooks has it. I've been consistently impressed with the store's breadth and depth. Sure you may end up paying a little bit more but the staff here is knowledgeable and the location can't be beat.

Yelp
Got it all (almost) or will get it for you. A cook's resource. Products AND KNOWLEDGE. That's a rare combination in retail these days!
