I've been going to Goodwill stores all over the country for years. We all know that Goodwill hiked their prices substantially in recent years, so this review really isn't about how insane the prices are. We all know this. This is the first time I've ever gone into the Austintown Goodwill store. By the looks of the exterior, it seemed to me that it would be a large, clean, and packed store. I was excited to check it out. Boy, are looks deceiving. This has to be one of the most depressing, grim, dark, and bare Goodwills I've ever been to. The space is huge, but it seems as if only 1/3 of it is filled with items for sale. The shelves are absolutely bare and what little is on them is useless junk from dollar stores. The clothing section is very odd. It doesn't seem that any clothing is organized by size, color, or type. There were random pants mixed in with shirts. One would have to spend all day browsing through the clothing section to find their size. There is very little in terms of home decor (wall decor, table decor, etc.) and this is the first Goodwill I've ever been to without a section for textiles like tablecloths, comforters, and curtains. I saw several items with two different price tags on them; for instance, a Christmas afghan was priced at $2.50 and then I found another tag attached to it with a $5.50 tag. Very inconsistent and confusing. Baby clothes are thrown into a bin rather than neatly sorted on hangers and clothing racks. Very gross Goodwill store. Someone needs to come in and completely revamp this place.
