This is a truly wonderful supermarket! We expected the prices to be much higher given how beautiful and upscale the place looks, but we were very pleasantly surprised. They have absolutely everything you could need and even more. The store is well-stocked and clean, but the real highlight was the barista — absolutely magnificent service! However, I have to be honest: we didn't really enjoy the desserts, which was a bit of a letdown. Despite that, the overall experience was great. It’s a wonderful find for quality products without the overinflated price tag. Definitely worth a visit for the atmosphere and the coffee!

This is a beautiful, large grocery store. I appreciate the large selection of foods and all of the specialty items. Most of all, it smelled amazing, like essential oils, but a very light fresh scent. I've never smelled such a great scented store! They have a nice meat department and entire gift section. Some items were much higher than at other grocery stores while other items were very reasonable so I would recommend getting the basics elsewhere and coming here for specialty items

Super fun store to shop in. The branding is top notch and every thing is presented so nicely. That being said, the quality and flavor of most their products is just not super good. It’s like they’re more focused on offering a little bit of everything and not on guaranteeing the flavor of each individual item…quantity over quality you could say. Also pretty expensive. Getting steaks and some ready-made sides will set you back as much as if not more than going to a nice restaurant. Overall, a fun experience and cool to visit from time to time, but there’s little guarantee you’re going to be blown away by the actual food you’ve bought from here.

I'm so glad to see this market reopening its doors again. They have everything you need to have a good time visiting the lake. The new patio outside is awesome, to sit down and enjoy your coffee or sandwich while overlooking the lake. Plenty of parking, great service , clean, and friendly staff.

Definitely well-stocked! The selection felt like a mini-Walmart. The shelves were clean and all the products were faced. Courteous and friendly employees and customers. Afternoon shopping, but it was easy to park and find a cart. Enjoyable experience! 😊

A great place to go for a coffee or doughnut or a slice of pizza or groceries in general. Prices might be a little high compared to staters or grocery outlet, but it’s all good. It seems as though they got the problem of dog owners bringing their dogs into the store under control. Which is a good thing.

Goodwin & Sons Market is, hands down, the best grocery store on the entire mountaintop. As a serious foodie, I can’t overstate how grateful I am for this place. They’ve completely spared me from having to drive down into the valley just to find decent food. They offer features and selections I’ve never seen gathered together in one grocery store — truly exceptional variety and quality. The customer service is equally outstanding. On my very first visit, after dealing with some truly dismal options elsewhere on the mountain (including deli salads overloaded with sugar and bakery items that tasted like cafeteria leftovers), walking into Goodwin’s felt like stepping into a completely different world. I must’ve frozen in the aisle with the biggest grin on my face, because the beverage manager actually walked over, introduced himself, and said, “Sir, we’ve never seen someone look so overjoyed walking in.” And he was right — I was. Goodwin’s is a revelation. Amazing people, amazing food, amazing service. And this isn’t just my opinion — everyone I’ve spoken to in the community feels the same way. Without question, this is the #1 premium grocery experience on the entire mountain

Wow. Great market on the mountain. You'll find smoothies, ice cream shop, outside shaded lounging and lots of parking. You will find pretty much anything you need, even tasteful household items. Goodwin & Sons is one of my must stops when in Crestline. It is an upscale supermarket. The inside is spacious and very clean. There is a deck overlooking the lake where you can enjoy your morning coffee or your lunch/ dinner. In addition to the grocery stables, you can also find good quality food. From deli sandwiches to Acai bowl, speciality chocolate to baked goods, they have such a great selection. My favorite sandwich is the gobbler. A local introduced me to it, and now it becomes my must have when I visit Crestline. The gobbler is very fresh and yummy. I don't even like cranberry sauce, but the the gobbler has turned me to it. I highly recommend stopping and checking out Goodwin and Sons when you are in the area.

Goodwin's has been a Crestline institution since long before I moved here. As a matter of fact, when I first started looking to relocate to the mountain they were still rebuilding after the Snowmaggedon roof collapse. One afternoon, after a morning of house hunting, I stumbled in on their soft re-opening and was blown away. It was (and is) probably the most beautiful grocery store I have ever been in. With a selection of foods I never would have expected in a smallish mountain town. A full service deli. A coffee bar. An ice cream bar. A freakin chocolatier, for crying out loud! And a beautiful community lounge and deck upstairs to enjoy some coffee looking out over the lake. I am dinging them one star because all this beauty and selection does not come cheap. They do take advantage of their position as the best grocery store in what is a bit of a resort town. Prices, especially on luxury or impulse-buy items are higher than down-mountain stores. That said, if you shop carefully you can fill your cart for a reasonable cost. And their loyalty program is pretty good at providing cash discounts based on points. Oh, and the house hunting? I bought a place 5 minutes away.

While visiting Crestline, and Lake Gregory, we had to stop in Goodwin's. Goodwin & Sons Market is a great place to shop! The grocery store is huge. The have all the groceries your heart could desire, and then some! They have freshly made ice cream and soda. A whole area in the store dedicated to that! How cool. Goodwins has frozen and fresh food items. The deli and bakery both looked very fresh. I could have easily found something for lunch or dinner here. We planned to eat elsewhere though, we were on the hunt for snacks lol I found some pumpkin shaped chocolates. So cute! It was hard for me not to buy more here lol This is the spot for groceries if you are in Crestline. Service was good. Friendly and fast. Pricing seems to be very fair for the mountain.

10/10 best grocery store I've been to in my life. So scenic, cozy, homey, lovely, and clean! 1) you need to try their specialty sandwiches. I thought it sounded crazy but then i actually ate it and it changed my life 2) cookies. So warm so fresh so gooey but crispy on the outside i love it 3) they have a little upper deck with seating inside and outside for you to enjoy their yummy food with a fantastic view 4) they even have a soda/ dessert bar. It has chocolate fudge, specialty sodas, cafe, ice cream, and even crepes! We came back here like 3 times because it was so fun to walk around and try the food!! Service was also fantastic everywhere in the store

We heard that Goodwin market has top quality meat that in the past years drove 1 1/2 hours to get it in another town. We live in Redlands and Goodwin was closer so we went there yesterday. I was shocked that this big beautiful market was in Crestline. since it's a small mountain town. We were impressed as soon as we walked in. We went directly to the meat department. We found the Tri-Tip we were looking for. The meat is aged for months and it has this great marinade on it. The butcher was great and will work with us when we buy a large amount of meat for 50 people. This store has everything, but what impressed me the most was how clean and perfect all the food items were perfectly placed on the shelves. They have a deli which makes sandwich's, we had an Italian sandwich was was very good. My sister had their brisket, she said it was very moist and very goody. There is an outside and inside patio to eat your lunch. They also have a good sized counter where they make candy, fudge, coffee, ice cream açaí bowls etc. Goodwin was totally destroyed from heavy snow two years ago which collapsed the whole roof, everything was destroyed. We will definitely come back.

5 Stars Goodwin & Sons Market It's been years since I've been up here, and wow, Goodwin's Market has completely transformed! We used to live in Crestline, and after their remodel following the heavy snow a few years back, the place is absolutely beautiful. The store has an incredible variety of food, and while "mountain prices" are naturally a bit higher than down the hill, they're still pretty competitive. What really makes this place stand out is all the extra touches, you'll find a sweets area with fountain sodas, ice creams, and even a chocolatier, which makes it feel more like a specialty market than a typical grocery store. Their deli makes amazing sandwiches, and the bakery is impressive too. I especially appreciate the sugar-free and gluten-free options that actually taste great! There's also a cozy seating area where you can enjoy your meal, and now they even have a pizza section where you can order fresh pizza. The store is festive and welcoming, the Christmas decorations add a cheerful vibe, and the customer service really stood out. Someone noticed we were looking for the restroom and came over right away to help. That kind of attentiveness goes a long way. Overall, it was such a nice experience walking around, enjoying the store, and seeing how much it's changed for the better since I last lived up here. A beautiful market with great food, great atmosphere, and great people.

Goodwin and Sons Market in Crestline is such a pleasant surprise, especially if you remember the original like I do. The rebuilt store is a huge upgrade while still holding onto that rustic, mountain-town charm. It feels modern and fresh without losing the local character that makes it special. Walking through the aisles, you can tell a lot of care went into the redesign. Everything is well stocked, clean, and easy to navigate. It is a major improvement from the Goodwin's I remember from my childhood, and in the best way. There is a nice mix of everyday essentials and specialty items, and the layout makes it feel more like a curated neighborhood market than just a grocery store. Whether you're a local or just visiting the area, it is definitely worth stopping by to see how far it has come.

I am a little more critical on this review as I grew up here in Crestline and very familiar with this store... Today I stopped in to have dinner as I have been wanting to try the sandwiches here after they rebuilt the store.. The guy in the deli (Chris) was very nice and friendly. I ordered the logger.. Yum Yum!! First off, hopefully you brought an extra shirt.. It's a very delicious and messy sandwich! Everything on this sandwich works great! I enjoyed every bite... The seating area was very nice and relaxing.. Everything was clean and peaceful.. Thank You Goodwins for a Great Sandwich!!!

Goodwin & Sons market is across from Lake Gregory. The market is very cute and includes home decor, a florist, bakery with fudge, a juice and coffee bar and ice cream. We came in after an enjoying the lake for a treat. We enjoyed ice cream sundaes, milkshakes and coffee. The staff was friendly and helpful. They even have a balcony with tables so you can eat with a view.

This review is for the deli department. Went in there this morning to get deli meat. There was a team member standing behind the counter working would not look up at me finally did and then told me I'll be right back went to the back and never came back out. ultimately we walked away and bought deli meat in the refrigerator Section. This is not the first time I've gone to the deli department and was made to feel like I was bothering them if you're open for business and you have a customer standing in front of you whether you're taking meat out that's out of code or whatever it is that you're doing you should put that aside and help your customer

WAYYYY overpriced. Easily spend $50 just with a few items ... yikes. I have no choice since this is the only closet grocery store in crestline...

I LOVE this market! It is conveniently located across from Lake Gregory. They have a coffee shop, ice cream and shop in the middle of the store. I thought that was a pretty cool concept. It reminds me of wholefoods but different. They have a huge selection of craft beer and wine... Oooh and they even have a dry aged and meat department. The bathroom was one of the nicest grocery store/market bathrooms I've ever been too and it was CLEAN. They even had a stand outside of the parking lot where a man was smoking meat to sell in the market. Pretty cool place to stop at for groceries, ice cream or coffee. Highly recommend.

We were vacationing in Lake Arrowhead for a few days and needed some food and supplies. Yelp suggested this grocery store so we went there to bran a few things. This is no normal grocery store. The maple fudge was incredible as were the baked goods. The meat selection rivals any store I've ever shopped at and the prepared foods were amazing. The store was spotless and the service was amazing. It's definitely a big step above a normal grocery store!

Cute market with cooked food, groceries and a candy bar and juice bar. The chocolates were basically $1 for a tiny piece of chocolate but they were pretty good. Overall a good grocery store to grab some snacks, groceries and maybe also some dinner!

Sandwich was an absolute mess and was impossible to eat which was such a bummer as I love Boar's head products. Service at the candy counter is impossible. Staff will straight up ignore waiting customers. Gorgeous market but service is abysmal!!!

Loved loved the sour dough bread in the bakery section and staff was friendly also have good flower selection and the hand dipped candy was very good as well but mainly loved the bakery

I love their special sandwich at the market ! I always get it when I come up and visit. Their green Goodwin smoothie is also really good too

This is the best grocery store I have ever been to in my life. I used to shop here before snowmagedon tore this place apart and unfortunately to some extent I'm grateful it happened because goodwins came back with a BANG. I cannot put into words how beautiful this store is. In addition to the beauty they have a full service coffee bar, juice bar, ice cream parlor, crepe station and chocolatier area in the middle of the store. My mom is ADDICTED to their sugar free chocolate marshmallows as a diabetic looking for a small sweet treat. High recommend!

Old school since 1946. After walking the loop of Lake Gregory we stopped by to get a few food items including a sandwich and hopefully some micro-brew beer. They have a well stocked store and the deli had so many options to choose from too. We found exactly the things we needed plus the employees had such great attitudes.

We spent three days in Crestline, and this grocery store was a lifesaver. I got sick one night and the French bread with butter was all I could eat the next day (for two meals). Then I tried some of their chicken tenders. They were delicious and my tummy didn't reject them. It's a big, beautiful store with just about everything. It has an ice cream bar, coffee counter, deli, sandwich shop, and more. We were in the store at least once a day for something (bread, chicken, fresh fruit). And the employees are very friendly and welcoming.

What kind of ice cream shop closes at 7pm!?!? This place is for sure the coolest "market" (grocery store) I've been to! Such a good vibe and cool look! especially the neon sign that leads you to the ice cream shop inside the store! Throughout the store customer service is great but the ice cream shop workers did not want to be there. Drove 20 minutes through the fog to try this ice cream and at 7:03 found the ice cream section of the market closed. Store hours are listed online but not ice cream hours. Devastating, but saved us a few bucks. I guess I should have dessert before dinner to make it on time.

Such a great market that I think was recently renovated. It's very hard to find a market like this in LA in which the groceries won't cost you an arm and a leg! So I can really appreciate a nice market that has reasonable prices. The ice cream parlor was a nice surprise. They were able to make an affogato for us which I really appreciated. Service was very nice and the market is very clean. Would definitely make another stop here again next time!

The best market in the region is back! I'm so glad to report that Goodwins is back and better than ever. In addition to the great market- they have a full deli with hot food, crepes, ice cream, cakes, etc. they also increased their meat department. Plus the new patio deck to eat your desserts has a stunning view of Lake Gregory. Highly recommended!

A HUGE thank you to the wonderfully kind Lucca and Brynn at the Soda Fountain who let us squeeze in one last round of ice creams before their shift was over. They made our day! Lucca especially could see how much the kiddos had looked forward to ice cream - give this guy employee of the month! ;-) Thanks to them both!!

Hi everyone, I left the review last week praising three people on the Goodwin's team Tyler, Kali I didn't remember the third person's name- but I got it now Goodwins has an employee a Marshall, who, definitely in my opinion deserves recognition. As a local before the grocery store closed, I would always get in Marshall's line . That guy is the fastest taller I've ever seen.. I hope to see him at the registers again. If I was Manager, I would definitely book him during the busiest hours of the summer on register. Again good job Goodwins.

Great renovation with many selections, friendly service and lots of room to wander and spend.

I don't have enough words in my vocabulary to tell you just how much I loved this market. I live over 2.5 hours from it and would happily drive there just to wander the aisles and go home. I bought a Goodwin & Sons Market t-shirt because I loved it just that much. I went there 3 times in approximately 12 hours while staying in Crestline. Their Goodwin General Shoppe within the store is the cutest thing I have ever seen. I had to see and touch ALL.THE.THINGS. I also wanted to buy all the things too but came out with my t-shirt, a small serving marble that I am going to use for biscuits or as a tiny charcuterie board, and a decorative heart with a sweet saying on it. Souvenirs I will cherish forever. I took so many pics of that area to remind me of how I want to decorate my next house one day. It was gorgeous and added to a perfect weekend. Was shocked to hear about their roof collapse in 2023 and how they got the store back up and running in an insanely quick amount of time. It looks like they came back better than ever. I will definitely be back, even if I am not staying up there again for the weekend.

The new and improved Goodwins market is fantastic. Fresh produce, excellent pizza and deli area, many gluten-free and organic products throughout the store. Dry aged beef and a wonderful gift and home goods shopping area. I especially love the upstairs seating area and outdoor balcony seating area that overlooks our lake. Their homemade chocolates, sundae bar and coffee are delicious. Their customer service is warm and inviting and very helpful. I cannot say enough wonderful things about this store. I tell people it's the best grocery store in Southern California if not the state.

Great selections in every department. On weekends: they have BBQ in their Kitchen area. Very tender brisket, good chicken and BBQ beans. Also ordered a BBQ Chicken pizza (thin crust with onions added). Really good! Staff is very helpful.

Their barbeque used to be good since they reopened the Prices went up and the Quality Significantly went down, The brisket used to be really good now it's Dry and lacking taste, bought two barbeque chicken legs and a link and mash potatoes with gravy, the chicken and links had an aftertaste, and the mashed potatoes were gritty when they used to be real creamy. I'm a local and it's sad I don't mind paying higher prices when the quality is good in this case (and a few other times) it wasn't. Goodwins used to take pride in the products they produced, What Happened?

I love Goodwin so much. The renovations and everything and all that the community holds near and dear inside this wonderful store. Every employee is incredible. Patra warms the heart of every customer. Omgosh Erin is a juice goddess. And well so many more! Thank you Goodwins! I love the guys at the meat department. I wish I knew everyone's name but everyone is just so awesome at this freaking store man. Also Daniel is great bag brother for life. Thank you Goodwins. Please pull these people aside in orderly fashion and give them full approval of existence.

Today is the very last time I will ever go to this market!!! I stood in an aisle along with two other customers as we just stared at how EXTREMELY HIGH the prices are!!! Talk about price gauging!!!! I live in the mountains so I usually go to Staters in Lake Arrowhead or I drive down the hill. But I needed a few things today so I went to Goodwins. Never again!!! It is worth the inconenience - and gas - to go elsewhere!!!

Unfortunately will not shop there again It's a lovely grocery store. I've shopped on the mountain for 30yrs. I grew up shopping at Gelsons,farmer's market, the old Jensen's 20yrs ago not anymore. I know quality I know prices and I am a talented cook. It's unfortunate that I no longer choose to shop on the mountain as the quality has tanked and prices have soared. Jensen's,Staters,Goodwins. I wanted a special dinner for my husband's Bday and went to Goodwins to avoid a trip down the hill Aged boneless prime rib roast 3lbs $24.99 per lbs I spent $75.99 It was awful. I would never consider this "age Prime Rib"The meat was chewy butcher way over trimmed the roast. Quality was below what I buy at Staters bros sold as just ribeye roast for half the cost. Definitely not PRIME Rib . I needed a birthday cake and we t to order at 24hr notice, which they need at least 48hr . Just for white cake 2 layer no decor just white pipped border I decided to grab some pre sliced individual cake slices and homemade pies to substitute and try variety.... Also worth noting they have a large Deli area with a tiny 1 case display bakery. It was a miniscule bakery section which should have told me bakery is an after thought. No pastries, no doughnuts, no fresh breads. They were all awful. I guarantee if the owners sampled what they are selling in their bakery they would change suppliers immediately. Cakes were dry sponge no flavor raspberry & strawberry filling that was an odd solid gel layer processed mystery substitute. The whipped topping was flavorless odd texture and not sweet??? Homade cherry and peach pies ‍... Another mystery gel fruit filling that was horrible unateable complete waist. I threw away 1 chocolate layered cake 1white layerd cake 2 white strawberry layer cake slices 2 white raspberry layer cake slices 1 homade cherry pie 1 homade peach pie The Prime rib roast was so utterly disappointing. We put it all back in fridge and made Philly cheese steak sandwiches the next day. I was happy to over pay because it was a special dinner and I assumed aged prime rib would obviously be PRIME RIB not chewy stringy horse meat . So below my expectations and unworthy of my business. I will go back to ordering Prime Rib shipped via Lawry's and William Sanoma.l

This is my go to grocery store. It has a great variety of specialty foods. The sandwiches from the deli are awesome. I also love the seasonal home decor section. That has new items each time I visit. I've even used the home delivery service.

You would think that for a grocery store of this caliber the Deli would be up to par but it is horrible hot food!!! the fridges keep their to go lunch items frozen and they have no good options here ever! The managers should take a trip their riverside location and take some notes. Stay away from the deli departments it sucks

Very neat and clean I love the atmosphere and the service provided! The food was great quality.

Love this store. We drive about 20 min to get there. Everything from the meat to the delicious deli hot food. You've got to try the hatch chili Mac n cheese. The ice cream counter is probably my favorite part of this store just because of the nostalgic feeling I get.

I'm in Goodwin's all the time for coffee and meeting up with friends! I love this place! They really did a nice job remodeling the store. The seating area is so perfect. It's so nice to have the option of sitting inside near the cozy fireplace or sitting on the balcony with a view of the lake.

What a wonderful market in the mountain town of Crestline! We came here while staying in a local cabin and were totally impressed. Great selections of everything, especially the meat department. The soda fountain in the middle of the store reminds you of good old days decades ago! And for being the only game in town, their prices were very very reasonable! Service staff were friendly and warm. Store is spacious and clean. I have no reason not to give them a 5-star!

A locals place for all food. A supermarket with deli, pizza, locally made chocolate counter, pressed & smoothie drinks, coffee bar, soda fountain with milkshakes, great beer and wine area with local selections, and a butcher's counter with in store aged meat. Haven't visited the new relaxing/eating area over looking the lake yet but hear it is comfy.

Amazing grocery store huge selection compared to others on the mountain if you're looking for organic options... inside they have a coffee bar, I. House made candy, açaí bowls and more!

The new Goodwins Market is beautiful! The prices are on the high side but we're at their mercy living here, if we want the convenience. The management needs to talk with the majority of the staff about 'customer care'~ the few employees I came in contact with were not very customer friendly. However, the deli staff is the BEST, and always friendly. The last candy apple I bought there on 2-28-25 was truly a bad apple. The Carmel is off, not normal tasting Up until then they were nothing but delicious. The balcony is a great place to relax! All & all, a generous 4 star!

Blended caramel with oat milk Ordered a sandwich from the deli which is always delicious, pizza is awesome! The staff at Goodwin and Sons are the most sweet and helpful people!

How about this hidden gem? What an amazing place for such a small town. This place has it all and they managed to have an ice cream shop with fountain drinks. Here's what they have: fishing, camping, BBQ, deli, soda shop, fresh candy, homemade chocolates, an ice cream bar, home goods, a butcher, and everything you wills expect to find at a grocery ship. The staff is always super helpful and friendly. Go check it out. It's legit!

This store is great! It has everything and more! The employees are so kind and know where to find what you can't. The bathroom is super clean and stocked well, as well as spacious stalls and a baby changing table. This store has been a life saver for our camping trip because they never seem to run out of ice! We are thankful! I highly recommend this store!

Great place to stop on the way up to Big Bear! Amazing sandwiches, coffee, and a full-on candy bar. Plus groceries, of course.

This is specifically a review for the bakery/cake decorator: I had my birthday cakes made here and they were the absolute most beautiful and delicious cakes I've ever had. Even on a short turnaround they made all my dreams come true and executed it to perfection, I believe the baker/decorator was Janelle and I could not recommend her more.
