On the Grid : Goody Goody Burger

"A return to tradition, this historic Hyde Park diner dating back to 1925 recently re-opened its doors. Since then, the neighborhood hasn't been able to get enough of their burgers, pies, fries, and all-day breakfast at a price point that nods to earlier days. And all of that demand usually means there will be a wait, so go put your name in at least an hour before you want to eat. Or you can try your luck at their first come, first served bar. And once you take a seat, may we suggest chasing the pancakes that are bigger than your head with a warm café con leche? We promise, it's worth the wait." - Spark

The 17 Best Restaurants In Tampa

"Good Goody Burgers opened in 1925, and it feels like Calvin Coolidge is still president when you walk into this old-timey Tampa diner. There are cushiony and swively bar chairs, The Carpenters playing on the radio, and sloppy burgers with filled-to-the-brim milkshakes. Come for a casual but fun lunch or dinner, and get the POX burger with pickle, onion, and tomato sauce that kind of tastes like a better version of meatloaf. Save room for pie—the meringue-topped butterscotch is thick, smooth, and super rich." - cheryl rodewig

Wonderful retro restaurant from the 1920s revived for the modern restaurant goer. Delicious food, kind and fast staff, affordable prices. We got the veggie burger and the original cheese burger (this had the house sauce, which was a tomato + onion mix, and very tasty). We also got an orange sherbet freeze and some butterscotch pie. Everything was delightful. We'll definitely be coming back. 10/10 recommend.

Google
A fantastic piece of Tampa history. Goody Goody opened in 1925. Great pox burgers 🍔 served here. Outstanding pies 🥧 Some of the most friendly efficient professional service you would ever receive. Great old world diner atmosphere. Goody Goody you will be missed.

This diner was a really nice surprise. Clean and nostalgic. We sat at the bar and had burgers and bellinis. Our neighbor had pancakes, and they were huge. Everything on the menu looks delicious. The wait was 40 minutes, but it's first come, first served at the bar, and we sat down within 10 minutes. This diner is worth the visit.

My buddy and I are in town for a lightning game and we stopped here for lunch. He got the Royale steak burger which was cooked perfectly. The burger and the egg and all the toppings were very good. I got the patty melt which was good, but it was very plain, nothing special about it. But when the food came out, everything was cooked hot and fresh. After that I got a piece of guava cheese cake and it was so good. It was cool very fresh and it was very moist. Highly recommend, I would be back again.

Google
Great burger. I was worried because it was a smash burger style patty and they don't ask what temp you like it but the burger was very juicy! The fries, fried chicken, shakes, coke float and onion rings were spot on. Prices seemed fair for the location. The whole place was pretty clean. One downer was the greeter who sat us was critically depressed. I never understand why managers put the person with the worst attitude at the front to seat people. Good location.

The last time I ate, there was probably 1980 - 81. I work downtown at Sam's Transmission after school. The guys that I work for would always buy you an Apple pie for your birthday. They were really good. I wasn't a fan of their hamburgers, but today I tried it again it still tasted just like it did 44 !!!! YEARS AGO and I like perhaps I have changed.. Times have changed a great deal, probably PEOPLE THE MOST !! THANK BE TO GOD FOR HIS UNCHANGING LOVE FOR MAN KIND !!!!! For whosoever shall call upon the name of the lord shall be saved. Romans 1013 But God Commendeth his love towards us in that why we were yet sinners Christ for us. Romans 5:8

Google
We got the POX burgers , different and good . Waiter asked if we'd like the fries , onion rings or slaw as a side... This is where things went bad .. the onion rings tasted great but the $7 charge for approximately 8 rings definitely not worth it. Orange Freeze was delicious and the Butterscotch pie was really good. In the price range better places out there.

Google
Phenomenal food, friendly and entertaining service, and a great diner atmosphere. The sweet potato pancake was a highlight. It was so soft and just melted in your mouth. It was perfectly sweet and had a hint of cinnamon. The regular pancake with bananas was fluffy and thick too. Oh, and they're bigguns. The sausage was good and I liked the option of just being able to order a burger patty on its own. Speaking of, the seasoning they use for their meat makes it delicious. I would definitely come back if I was in the area again because some of their other menu items look very appealing as well. And yes, I ate everything pictured. ;)

Yelp
Sad to report that Goody Goody closed their doors. Great memories in the Hyde Park location! Looking forward to grabbing a Goody Goody at the Tampa Airport location!

Yelp
8/24/24--5:22pm The manager, Jenny, was the rudest most unprofessional person it has ever been my displeasure to be near. The restaurant wasn't particularly busy maybe 6-10 four tops seated but Jenny seemed flustered and overwhelmed. The lovely young dark skinned lady who first addressed our party seemed calm, professional and in control of the situation. We were told by Jenny it would be a ten minute wait and we said fine ant sat at the bench inside, mind you we were the ONLY people waiting at the time. At this time a woman who had a party of ten, a birthday, wanted to sit outside which was completely empty. This seemed to irk Jenny and she then turned to us and asked if she could have our name for a reservation as it would now be a twenty minute wait.......all I could think was, why?! We were still the only four people waiting for a table. She was rude to both our party and a party of 10 that simply asked to push two tables together outside. Given the large party, extra room and that it was outside seemed like a perfectly reasonable request. "No that can't be done it's a fire hazard." No it isn't Jenny they push tables together all over town. I've never walked out of a restaurant but I did today.

Yelp
As a first timer, Goody Goody Burger is a delightful gem that offers a nostalgic yet modern take on the classic burger experience. From the moment you step inside, the inviting atmosphere captures your attention, blending retro charm with a contemporary vibe. The décor is reminiscent of an old-school diner, which adds to the overall appeal and sets the stage for a delicious meal. Now, onto the food. I ordered the royale with cheese, eager to see what all the hype was about. While the flavor had potential, I found the burger to be excessively oily, which made it quite heavy and hard to conqueror. However, i was famished so i was able to eat my food. The bun quickly became soggy, and the grease overpowered the other flavors. For our server that day, there was a noticeable lack of warmth in her demeanor, which made it difficult to feel welcomed.

Yelp
Went here on a Saturday morning so expected it to be super busy. Waited around 20-30 minutes for a table - no biggie, we walked around Hyde Park and grabbed a coffee at Buddy Brew. This was my second time here and I enjoyed the food the first time, so I recommended that we go here to some friends that were in town. Our server was amazing and attentive, but our food took almost 40 minutes to arrive. My friends were complaining a lot about how long it was taking, because they had a flight home later in the day. When the food arrived it was super yummy though!! Maybe they just had an off day? The first time I came it didn't take as long.

Yelp
Christine was friendly and amazing at making sure we had everything we needed, as well as making recommendations. She enjoys her job and it shows! The burger was tasty and cooked right. The ambiance is like the diners of old. A dessert counter to tempt you, beautiful lighting and an overall nice atmosphere.

Yelp
Famous burgers from 1925, Goody Goody is an instant favorite. The vibe is early diner with friendly service that we don't see much of these days. After speaking to Christen, who waited on us, the Gonzmart family is taking care of the employees and earning their respect, another business model not seen much these days as well. The staff is very professional and polite and the deserts, although I didn't try them, look mouthwatering. I enjoyed the old-school vibe and plan on returning for the burger with the bacon and egg. This is a highly recommend from me! I can't wait to go back.

Yelp
Came here on a rainy dinner evening withmy daughter. The wait staff was incredible and the food was amazing- a truly incredible value for good service and a great meal. I ordered the omelette with Cuban toast. The breakfast potatoes were good but the fries my daughter got with her kids meal were great. Definitely recommend for kids and families. Very fun diner vibes.

Yelp
A few years ago, I had Goody Goody for brunch. I really enjoyed my omelette at the time. Recently, I stopped in for a quick bite. The weekday lunch crowd wasn't as big as the weekend brunch scene. I was a bit disappointed with the service and burger. The server didn't explain the burger menu at all. It was my first time there for lunch. I didn't know what the burger came iwht and the one question I had was about the bread. She said it came on a brioche roll. Intrigued, I ordered the turkey burger without sides. I was in a bit of rush. So, I wanted a quick bite. Well, the burger came out naked on no brioche. This friendly server saw the sad naked burger in my bin and asked if I needed something. He took it to the back and got the lettuce and tomato for it. No luck with the brioche. Do they have brioche for any of their sandwiches? All in all, it's a cute place and the outdoor seating is perfect on a January afternoon. However, this time the service and the food weren't what they were a few years ago.

Yelp
Enjoyable family dinner with a diner like environment. Our server was friendly & helpful and she expertly handled our party of 10. I absolutely loved the double Hyde park cheeseburger--juicy & great flavor. I asked for a side of the special sauce but it's not for me. Onion rings were killer. The patty melt wasn't the best one I've ever had. Fries were ok. Kids loved their desserts, they even put a candle in the birthday boy's. Alcohol selection is too small though, only a couple wines & mostly domestic beers.

Yelp
Found this spot while shopping in the area. Great breakfast. Did get a photo of the pancakes but they were big and delicious. Loved the guava jelly. Very cute ambiance with that old school dinner feel. We sat at the counter and had great service. Seems like it is a popular spot so get there early or expect for a little, unless you can squeeze in at the counter. Highly recommend for breakfast. Next time we are in town we will have to stop by for the pie.
google avatar

Yelp
Great greeting upon entering establishment. Outdoor & indoor seating. Great ambiance! The food is really good, I hope my pictures do justice. Fireworks pie was pretty darn good, would've really hit the spot had it been a tad bit warmer. Chicken Caesar salad . Roasted turkey BLT . Everything is goody goody @ Goody Goody Burgers

Yelp
We went back to Goody Goody for dinner and it was excellent! I ordered the patty melt and my husband got a burger. We both got fries, but I upgraded mine to loaded fries. The patty melt was perfection - crisp, toasted marble rye, caramelized onions and a thin patty. Service was spot-on and attentive again.
google avatar

Jeremy J.

Yelp
Not very good. The food was over priced for what we got. I got a chicken sandwich and fries and it was a 3 star. My wife got the goody goody burger and it was small and was 8 bucks and the fries were not included and costs extra. $17 bucks for that meal. Negative on that one. My daughter got biscuits and gravy and they were not good either. The service was ok nothing great nothing terrible. Ambiance was cool an old school dinner place. I'd skip this one and go somewhere else
google avatar

Elizabeth P.

Yelp
Old time diner right in the heart of Hyde Park commercial area. Family friendly and dog friendly area in the back by the take out. The food is okay the burgers are tasty however would not recommend the special secret sauce it's not tasty and leaves you wanting something. While the fries are nicely seasoned and warm try them with ranch sauce for extra yummy. Go for the pie and save your calories on the milkshake it's watery and it's more like a vanilla shake with chocolate syrup instead of chocolate ice cream. That was disappointing. Take a break from walking the area and stop by with that in mind.
google avatar

Robin W.

Yelp
Popped in yesterday to Goody Goody. Absolutely one of my favorite restaurants! I was very saddened to find out that the Bananas Foster pancake with that delicious syrup is no longer on the menu but the server, Emily was very kind and attentive, and recommended the French toast. It was freaking delicious and I cannot wait to go back and order it again.
google avatar

Esther P.

Yelp
Not sure why so many bad reviews... This is a diner type place and we had good experiences. Food is exceptional, great recipes and flavor.
google avatar

Keena H.

Yelp
First allow me to say I Love the fact that I can get breakfast all day here!! insert hot off the griddle 12 in. pancakes. Burgers are juicy with the traditional flair but you can choose others like the POX which includes their secret sauce or the oyale which has Jack, cheddar, mushrooms, bbq bacon , lettuce tomatoes and an egg over easy . The Southern fried chicken plate is a go to for the mashed potatoes alone and the "Tampa" omelette includes jalapeño but I like the "Kathleen" as well. If you're dining for lunch try the shrimp salad or basket and let's not forget the banana cream pie or chocolate shake for dessert .
google avatar

Andrea E.

Yelp
Goody Goody is a classic diner type restaurant. The decor is a neat blast from the past. My son enjoyed his cheeseburger and chocolate shake. The pies really looked amazing. Our server, Dale was a highlight, and made us laugh a lot! After looking at yelp reviews the day before someone claimed the Goody Goody Veggie Burger was their favorite veg burger. Well, that person let me down! I should have done more research. The Veggie burger is a frozen patty similar to Boca or Morningstar. A Beyond or Impossible option would be a great upgrade for Goody Goody to consider.

Yelp
Definitely not a great experience at Goody Goody. Upon arriving, we were seated at a table. We saw an open booth and asked if we could be in the booth. The waitress was confused, then said someone had reserved it, but said she would ask and let us know. Well, she never came back. Our waitress was nice, but the food really wasn't that good at all. We had to wait quite a while, and then it was cold. And the ranch dip is so overly mayonnaisey, not good. Unfortunately, not sure we will be back, as there are so many options around Tampa to choose from.
google avatar

Joy M.

Yelp
Came for dinner before a concert last night. Fortunately we were able to get a seat. It seemed like every place in Hyde park was packed...and a little pretentious. Happy we found a down to earth place with pretty good burgers. We split a Caesar salad. Simple but excellent. I ordered a turkey burger with cheese, mayo, lettuce pickle, tomato on a brioche bun. It was great. No ginger ale but the awesome waitress made one for me. We'll definitely be back. There were a few things on the menu we want to try.
google avatar

Kristin C.

Yelp
We came here for breakfast and snagged a couple of spots at the bar. The wait would have been 25 minutes otherwise but the service at the bar was quick and the server was great. I was very surprised by how great the food was and I would definitely come back for breakfast again. I had the Good Morning, Tampa with 2 eggs, bacon, home fries and a biscuit. Everything was cooked perfectly and it was a good portion size. It's a cool vibe inside and they have outdoor seating as well.
google avatar

Ryan S.

Yelp
All I can say is that this place closed and shut down 4 weeks ago. I think the one in Hyde park is the only one. That's the one I am writing about .Great pancakes and I am going to miss them.

Yelp
Was in the mood for breakfast while I was in town for a conference. I didn't want to hit up a typical chain so did a Yelp search and found Goody Goody was close to me. I headed on over and it was easy to locate. There wasn't much street parking but I found a free parking lot across the street. After the short walked I checked in at the hostess table. I didn't have a reservation but there was only a 5 min wait so not too bad. But he interior is the classic diner feel. Lots of decors reminded me of a the movie Grease. The waiter was nice a quickly took my order. I started with some water and got the Florida Omelet. It was their take on the classic Denver omelet. It came with one side and your choice of toast. I went with the grits and wheat toast. Food was delicious. They have alcoholic beverages as well. I chose a classic mimosa and the good compliment to my breakfast.
google avatar

Yelp
We've heard about this place a lot since our move to the Tampa area, so today since we were in the area we decided to try it out. It is very nostalgic atmosphere and it puts you in the frame of mind of Happy Days the TV show. At any minute I expected the Fonz to show up. But anyway we found a great parking spot in back of the restaurant and we were greeted by a very nice lady with an English accent. We were sat immediately and we did not wait for long for a server "Mila" to come take our order. I personally orders the Royal with cheese and I choose onion rings instead of fries. My wife had the veggie burger with a side salad. I had a sweet tea which was amazing and my wife had soda water. Our food arrived in a decent amount of time and it arrived hot which means it came from the girl to our table steaming. My burger was okay, it wasn't the best burger I had and maybe all the hype raised my expectations but in its defense I would definitely return and try another burger on the menu. My wife felt the same about hers but she also said that she would try her burger again. And as far as desert we split a slice of Boston Cream pie which was a pretty good size piece. It was delicious and I'd definitely get that again. I mostly enjoyed the customer service and the speed of service we received today. FYI on the weekends here in Hyde Park the parking is tough so just be aware of that when coming here to eat. But if your patient it's worth it.
google avatar

Charles H.

Yelp
Whenever I'm in the area I always stop to get a bite to eat at Goody Goody. I tried something new and got the Royale with Cheese and it was great! I also had their onion rings and they were amazing. Mika our server was very patient with us and I love the old school environment.
google avatar

Terry F.

Yelp
Still my favorite spot for a nice quiet outdoor breakfast. Service is always good at the early hour. Small parking lot in the back but there's a parking lot across the street. Hyde Park is scenic!

Emma A.

Yelp
Always a wholesome time, a family staple when we're in town patty melt and pie are crowd favorites!
google avatar

Yelp
We had a great time at this little diner in Hyde Park. Service was immediate and very friendly, and the omelets were delicious and fresh. Everything was clean, and the atmosphere was casual and relaxed. Definitely recommend!
google avatar

Trent N.

Yelp
No difference between here and any other fast food or chain restaurant. I had the Original Goody Goody Burger with cheese and 2 patties and a side of fries for $15.45. Nothing special about the burger or the fries. You can get a burger like this literally anywhere.
google avatar

Zarya P.

Yelp
The food was good! My dad said the omelette was very flavorful and not greasy at all. The burger was good but a little small and got soggy. The French toast wasn't crispy and also a bit mushy. The service was a bit slow but that could be because we went on Sunday during Brunch. The ambiance was family friendly, so recommend if you're going with children!
google avatar

Valerie N.

Yelp
Food: 4 Service: 4 Ambiance: 4 This place is very classic diner. It was a bit crowded during Saturday afternoon but was able to sit at the counter. Got a Patty Melt with a side of fries. The fries were seasoned nicely. The patty melt could have been more gooey but was still good. I wish I had room for desert since the pies display or milkshakes were tempting. They also have a togo counter which made service flow nicely.

Yelp
THE diner in Tampa. I went to college at Florida College 20-21 and i quite literally spent my tuition money eating here. I took my now wife on our first date here because it was sure to impress. Now 3 years later and living in Arkansas, I still CONSISTENTLY think about the POX Burger, The 12in Pancakes, and the Butterscotch Pie paired with coffee. I truly cannot wait to visit again and come here at least once during our visit. Thanks for getting me a WIFE!
google avatar

Farah Y.

Yelp
Food was really good. I enjoyed the shrimp salad as the lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, and avocados were really fresh. The shrimp tasted good too, it was a good amount for me but some might prefer to have more. We ordered the patty melt without cheese (weird, I know) but it was pretty good too. The meat is on the thinner side, but the onions were delicious. The fries were also crispy and had good flavor. Service was ok, nothing too great. The environment was fun, we sat outside, but the interior was very old timey and neat.

Yelp
Surprisingly, I've never actually eaten at Goody Goody for breakfast until now, and I will certainly be back! I'm going to set the scene for you: it's 70 degrees, I'm wearing a flannel (because I'm a Floridian in the winter), driving with the windows down, music playing as I arrive in Hyde Park Village on a Monday morning to meet one of my mentors for breakfast. Parking in the garage is a delight since it's 9am, and I get a spot on the ramp up from ground level. Ummmm, that NEVER happens!!!! Walk across the street and meet my mentor inside - she frequents Goody Goody, and everyone seems to know her name. She also knows everyone there including our server, Breeze, who was thoughtful, caring, and attentive the entire meal. I ordered the Kitchen Sink omelet and removed the sausage and cheese, leaving it with bacon, tomato, onion, spinach, mushrooms, and potatoes - my favorite! I'm going to guess it was about three eggs which is plenty of food for me, so I just got a side of fruit and a black tea with it. Unfortunately it came wrong the first time, but Breeze was quick to fix it and it wasn't an issue at all. When I got it correctly, it was yummy! I love that there's potatoes in it, but not too much that it totally overwhelms the rest of the omelet. It was cooked fully through which is how I prefer my omelets. I had great company and a solid meal on a beautiful Tampa day in December!
google avatar

Sean D.

Yelp
It's not often I don't enjoy food cause I love all food and it's not that this wasn't good I just would rather have had a more traditional burger. This burger almost tasted like a meatloaf sandwich and the home fries were almost like home chips lol maybe over fried I'm not sure. I would recommend though getting the single I got the double and it was a little too much meat to bun ratio. The service was so genuine and nice and the restaurant is very old school diner feel, very cool.
google avatar

Jill B.

Yelp
I used Open Table to get our party of 6 on the waitlist, so easy! The hostess was getting our table together when we arrived. The lobby, bar area and dining are always immaculately clean. Brandi was our server today; she's been our server before. I also spotted Wayne, another server have have had in the past. A true testament of a great company is longtime employees! Food was excellent as always. I got my usual gluten free sweet potato pancake and there is nothing about this pancake that tastes gluten free - it's amazing. We grabbed a couple pie slices to go for the family to enjoy later too.

Yelp
Goody Goody Burgers is an iconic place that helped create Tampa's Identity. Great place to enjoy with family and friends in Hyde Park Village. Had the pleasure of visiting this place and what an enjoyment this place is. The staff were great in attending and making me feel welcomed. Thier breakfast, lunch, and dinner options are recommended . Most of the food I ate turn out delicious not to mention thier pies. Whenever you are at Hyde Park Village in South Tampa, come by and visit them. What I had: * Shrimp Basket *Fully Loaded Fries *Hyde Park Burger *Onion Rings * Patry Melt *Root Beer Float * Butterscotch Pie

Yelp
This iconic diner has a special place in my heart, and it's my go-to for bringing visitors when they land at Tampa International Airport. A little history for you: Goody Goody Burgers has been around since 1925, and it's a true Tampa classic. The place has rebounded a lot over the years, and you can feel the nostalgia as soon as you walk in. The best part about Goody Goody Burgers, in my opinion, is how family-friendly it is. The retro design and the vibe just make everyone feel welcome. It's the kind of place where you can kick back and enjoy a good meal with your loved ones, no matter their age. Unsurprisingly they're the most accommodating for babies and small children in Hyde Park Village. And let's talk about those portions! Everything here is big, delicious, and oh-so-satisfying. You definitely won't leave Goody Goody hungry, that's for sure. My personal favorite is their breakfast, specifically the Cuban toast with jam and a café con leche. If you're in Tampa and looking for a spot with great food and a cool history, check out Goody Goody Burgers. It's got everything you need for a fun and memorable meal. Enjoy!

Yelp
Wow, is all I can say, what a great surprise. I just expected burgers, but got a full menu with so many options. Referred by my friend, I got a fried chicken sandwich, it was delicious. I also tried the orange freeze shake...it was like eating a orange cycle but thicker! We will be back again, either for a breakfast, one of our favorite burgers, or select one of many other items on the menu. I saw a salad go to another table, it looked delicious. After the shake, we did not have room for pie...took slice of each home to share, banana cream, coconut cream and butterscotch. Tampa history at its best! The service was amazing, they were servers, moving in every direction, helping each other out delivering plates and laughing and joking with all the customers. What a fantastic afternoon. The one pain point is the parking in Hyde Park. I bit the bullet and went to the garage so I did not have to drive in circles. It's worth it, the parking is free in the garage just a few more steps to the restaurant.
google avatar

Connie C.

Yelp
I don't usually do fast food but tend to get caught up doing so while in an airport. This place seemed to be popular in the C terminal so I decided to order a fried chicken sandwich. It was good, however, the hamburger bun started disintegrating quickly. Halfway through the sandwich, I felt like I needed a fork because the bun just couldn't keep the sandwich together.

Yelp
Goody Goody is a Tampa institution. It is smack in the middle of Hyde Park, a fancy shopping district. Parking is generallly o.k. and there are several garagees close by with free parking. This place is all about the burgers and fries. The burgers are a little small, but quite tasty and the price is reasonable for where you are. I love the fries, but don't forget the cheese sauce for dipping. I'm not sure what is in that sauce, but it is amazing. There is inside and outside seating with a cool "diner" kind of vibe. The tables are not packed into this place and it is comfortable. When in Tampa, you should definitely stroll through Hyde Park and grab a Goody Goody burger.

Yelp
Great diner vibes and good portions. The pies at the counter look delish. Cool vibes in a great area.

Yelp
Mediocre hamburger and fries and average shakes. Nothing special to remember from several visits. Had high hopes from other reviews.

Yelp
This was my second time at GG. I was here for a yelp event years ago. I went on a Saturday morning with a group of 7. It wasn't terribly busy but they did make us wait until all of our party got there before seating us. I got the fresh from the hens breakfast with bacon. It is just a basic breakfast not bad. Everyone seemed to enjoy their meals. I took home piece of butterscotch pie. It was very good! I moved away from Tampa but I'm glad this was one of the places I paid another visit to. You should definitely check it out!

Yelp
I first started going to Goody Goody when it first opened in Hyde Park a few years ago. So, every so often I will go and order through the take out window. I usually order the 12 inch buttermilk pancake with a side of scrambled eggs and bacon. It's a huge pancake and I can barely finish it. Also, I ordered The Hangover for my mom too. She says it's delicious. She also wanted a side of grits too which she said it has salt in it which is right amount. Go check out Goody Goody and try out pies too.

Yelp
I am retrying all my reviews that have 3 or lower stars to see if I can help change it for the better, lucky for me this was a better experience. This time it was actually for my sons bday. We stopped in after doing some shopping and I think we waited about 5 minutes before seating which was great. We sat down and waited for service which did take longer than the wait to be seated but after 8minutes I waved someone down which happened to be our server and he apologized and said he was going to deliver someone's food and come over after which he did. We did already knew what we wanted but I made sure it was okay if not just to get drinks and then we would place our order I didn't want to complicate things but it was fine. Drinks came out quickly, the food did take about 15/20 minutes not horrible we spent our time using the kids menu to keep them occupied. Once the food showed everything looked great, way better in color since last time and the chicken was almost a yellow ish but I think it might have something to do with a darker egg. Overall food was delicious we enjoyed our meals and what I do love about goody goody is that the breakfast is all day and it's filling portions. Why not 5 stars? Well the women's bathroom was a complete pigsty, wet toilet paper on the floor, the toilet seats were gross I had to move to a different stall for my daughter and even still just not properly cleaned. But mostly I think it was a better visit.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I decided to stop in for some lunch while enjoying the Hyde Park Art Festival. This place was packed so we had to wait about an hour. We were seated in the outdoor area which was nice. They have an indoor outdoor open concept that's pretty cool. The inside looks kind of like an old school diner. I was surprised by how big the menu was and that they had breakfast options too. I chose the Hyde park cheeseburger and asked for some of their famous sauce on the side to test it. The specialty sauce was not what I was expecting. It was kind of like a marinara in my opinion. Unfortunately, I wasn't a fan. The burger and fries I say were ordinary, nothing amazing. I had to give the butterscotch pie a try based on so many great reviews. I did enjoy it and the ice cream as well. All in all this is an old school diner and fun to say you've been to since it's been there since 1925.

Yelp
Ambiance and music was great for breakfast. Service was fast and friendly. Coffee was strong and outstanding. The veggie omelet with creamy grits and Cuban bread toast was a 10. The Hanghover with biscuit gravy egg potato was a 10. My hubby said it just needed sausage. Great place.

Yelp
Sooo Goody Goody Burgers is indeed a good spot for those seeking a decent burger joint. The decor is a mix of old and new diner styles, which gives it a unique vibe. However, I found the service to be a bit slow, even though the restaurant was not too busy. The food was good, but it didn't stand out as exceptional. We ordered the Loaded French Fries, which were okay, and the Hyde Park Cheeseburger, which did the job. If you're looking for a casual spot to grab a bite with family or friends, this could be the place for you. Overall, Sooo Goody Goody Burgers is a decent option for a burger fix, but don't expect anything extraordinary.
