Surprisingly, I've never actually eaten at Goody Goody for breakfast until now, and I will certainly be back!
I'm going to set the scene for you: it's 70 degrees, I'm wearing a flannel (because I'm a Floridian in the winter), driving with the windows down, music playing as I arrive in Hyde Park Village on a Monday morning to meet one of my mentors for breakfast. Parking in the garage is a delight since it's 9am, and I get a spot on the ramp up from ground level. Ummmm, that NEVER happens!!!!
Walk across the street and meet my mentor inside - she frequents Goody Goody, and everyone seems to know her name. She also knows everyone there including our server, Breeze, who was thoughtful, caring, and attentive the entire meal.
I ordered the Kitchen Sink omelet and removed the sausage and cheese, leaving it with bacon, tomato, onion, spinach, mushrooms, and potatoes - my favorite! I'm going to guess it was about three eggs which is plenty of food for me, so I just got a side of fruit and a black tea with it. Unfortunately it came wrong the first time, but Breeze was quick to fix it and it wasn't an issue at all. When I got it correctly, it was yummy! I love that there's potatoes in it, but not too much that it totally overwhelms the rest of the omelet. It was cooked fully through which is how I prefer my omelets.
I had great company and a solid meal on a beautiful Tampa day in December!
