This is a great place I have enjoyed my self every time I go my bartender was Ashley, she is fantastic great attitude but than so is Jena and Kyle... I guess you can say they are all great over here on Monday and Friday there is free Pool and on Wednesdays... Wow look out they have line dancing and I had a ball and I don't even line dance...lol... I would recommend this place to Everyone ...

Stopped in for Super Bowl Sunday and had a nice time watching the game with a bunch of locals. Played a game of pool and watched the big game. They had out a generous spread of food, which i was not expecting but was nice and also held some raffles. The three bartenders were super nice.

This place has been a go-to for me and my sister, Danielle, who made sure i got out and enjoyed the town. She liked the place across the parking lot, but i always liked it here ... As ive gotten older, i can appreciate the place a little more cause they leave ya be if ya want, they tolerate, actually LOVE my best friend Brady, and always have a snack for him.... He probably likes the place more than i do, and I'd RATHER DRINK HERE THAN ANYWHERE ELSE...GO BLUE!!!!! (1 year of bragging rights, starting tonight😄 )

I️ turned 21 months ago, and I️ moved to Florida months ago, and I️ came to this bar with my real 21 ID along with other forms of identification, and the incompetent bouncer took my ID, fought me, and continued to be rude and disrespectful as I️ called the cops to prove my ID was me and was real. If you are going to have arrogant bouncers, at the very LEAST have bouncers that know ID’s out of state. He knew nothing about Florida, and they didn’t even have proper ID equipment like a scanner or a blue light. Please consider taking your money else where as a tourist, as this bar is unfriendly, with completely incompetent staff.

Little blonde bouncer on March 19 th kicked everyone out just for drinking, he doesn’t know what drinking and have a good time is looks like a little kid to probably a little high schooler yall should look into the people you hire

Nice little bar in San Clemente. It's a mixed crowd, young college students and older folks. I'm on the older side and the place still felt inviting. Great place to have some drinks and listen to live music. It can get loud so don't expect to hold a normal conversation with anyone. Prices are average and not too expensive. Other bars within crawling distance if you're so inclined. I recommend stopping by for a drink.

This is by far my favorite bar I have been going to for the past five years. It is always a great time and the employees are great. This is my home bar I love to go to everyone is very welcoming. Kyle is a great Manager, the bartenders are very friendly, the sweetest people I have ever met, and the bouncers are always the most respectful people I have met.

Goodys is always such a good time! Something unique going on every night: sometimes a DJ, sometimes karaoke and sometimes line dancing! It’s a good local hangout with excellent service!

I went to karaoke on Tuesday night. First time visiting. Had a blast. Bartender Holly was amazing. Very friendly and accommodating. Makes us feel so welcomed. Ivan the KJ was awesome. The security guy was also very friendly and accommodating. The place is very clean and has a great ambiance. We get to meet a few regulars and all were super friendly and nice. We will definitely return.

Cool neighborhood local bar with a couple of poo tables. The bartender was super nice.

Will was super cool, but the other guy at the front door was a rude kook and should consider a different job other than door bouncer because he has literally no idea what he's doing.

I personally don't hang out a lot at Bars or Taverns much but I learned about Goodys from a long time friend of mine when he asked me to stop in for a beer before I went home after work. So one day I did, and I met a few other real great guys who were interesting to talk to and soon found out they were quite funny and I found myself laughing every time I stopped in. Well not only did I find my new friends great to see there but the Bartenders as well were so cordial and attentive serving us our drinks and talking with us when they can. I never have to to say what Beer I want to order because somehow they remember ever time I come in.... Heather is one of my favorites because she not only listens but has a great sense of humor that I really get a kick out of. She can really make you laugh sometimes with her honesty, She makes visiting Goodys fun. Grace and Erika are also very special because they also make my time at Goodys a pleasant one. Anyway, I highly recommend stopping in at Goodys Tavern in San Clemente, it is a great place with Great Bartenders and Regulars who all get along like we should these days. Rarely do I see a negative or unhappy person in there. Truly a great little Tavern that I have been going to now for around 4 years. Who knows, maybe you will meet a few of us at Goodys who are members of the Rat Pak Right now we are 5 members and all good friends

Popped in a few weeks ago on a Monday and Sarah was working! The vibe was awesome and she was amazing! Will be back for sure !!!

Came in cuz of the sign and Heather hooked us up right away with the split and later with some popcorn. Awesome girl, great service and good music. Sunday funday in San Clemente. They have a pool table and dart boards for more enjoyment.

Being a staple of San Clemente since 1929, Goodys continues to provide a fun backdrop of sports, music and spirits. The crowd at Goodys is always a mix of happy-go-lucky locals, old friends and visitors to the city. Being an animal-friendly establishment, you might just encounter someone's lovely four-legged companion looking for rubs and kisses. The staff are all extremely friendly and professional, service industry rockstars. My favorite bartender, Heather always greets her guests with a smile and always remembers what they drink . The Goodys team are also very strict on providing their guests with a safe and secure environment. The guys in the red shirts are always keeping a watchful eye, so their patrons can enjoy themselves without worry. If you are in San Clemente, it's a must that you visit your friends here at Goodys.

Feels like home. Even if I stop for a beer after work and I'm not meeting anybody there, I still feel like I'm going to hang out with friends. The staff (Erika, Heather, Kyle just to name a few) create such a fun and welcoming environment. You know it's a great place when you can order a drink without even using words. Always my go-to. My kinda people, my kinda place.

Good place to hang out and burn a couple hours. It's a dive bar but not gross or dirty. The locals are friendly and will willing engage in some friendly banter with you. Heather is an awesome bartender. She is very friendly, engaging on top of her orders and easy on the eyes. Goody's is a good time.

Kyle made me the best Mexican candy shot in all of San Clemente tonight for my birthday!!! Also this is a great pot to dance and have fun.

Went on a Monday & it was nice. Wasn't entirely empty but not over crowded. Brunette bar tender was super nice. Definitely worth it.

Holly completely made our night! I was out with a friend celebrating her birthday and wasn't sure what to order. Holly hooked it up with her custom drink that tastes like a watermelon Jolly Rancher. The drink was true to its description and was delicious! Holly also noticed my friend's birthday sash and even pointed out to the other bartenders who joined her later in the evening that we had a birthday girl with us! The bartenders here are so sweet and friendly. We had a great night!

I love goodys .... All the employees are great. Heather is the best employee. She is a such hard working human. I know I will always be greeted with a smile. It hurts my heart to see people come on here and trash talk a hard working employee. She always is checking on clients and cleaning .... We love you Heather and the entire staff at Goody's. A true neighborhood bar. Lots of fun and laughs ..... would recommend to anyone who wants to go to a cool bar to shoot pool or catch a game

Heather and Grace provide great service over here. Heather especially makes a really good old fashion. The place has a great vibe and it just feels comforting over here with all the decorations, and they have a great liquor selection. The pool tables are nice too.

When I first moved to San Clemente a few years ago, like I've done everywhere I've lived, I set out to find a local pub where not only I could get to know the locals, but also enjoy that family feel only good pubs know how to deliver. I found that at Goofy's ( which, incidentally should be named Goofy's - it's a surfing town you know). Not only are the owners amazingly good and approachable people, they have very attentive and sociable bartenders. There is one bartender in particular who is simply amazing - Heather. She can single handedly take care of a busy Sunday football crowd, but do so while still engaging all customers with conversation and smiles. If you've been to Goodys in a Sunday, you know the place can get very busy. Any bar would be well off to find someone like Heather.

I've been stopping through San Clemente for sometime now and didn't key into Goody's until this last layover. My favorite bars are cowboy honky tonk type because they are the only bars that play country music, my preference. Unfortunately, they can also be the most unruly as well. Goody's seems to be pretty laid back. It has a funky cowboy surfer feel. Lot's of tanned good looking beach girls with cowboy boots and redneck marines. I dropped in on a Wednesday night, which was country night. It was pretty full, not packed but I can see this place getting rowdy. Cold beer, country music, all good!

Over priced dive.. marine trap need better place for our young Marines to hang out..

This is my first time visiting this bar and it was such a terrible experience. I watched two bouncers throw out a man tonight. Imagine how movies and TV shows portray throwing out a character on screen. Think Jazz from Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. These two bouncers threw out the man down the flight of stairs and he was visibly hurt. He touched the back of his head and you could see his entire hand covered with bright red blood. The staff at this establishment are incredibly rude and they're not properly trained. They do not know how to deescalate a situation. They're all muscles and no brains. Alcohol and brain injuries/ bleeds do not mix. I don't care how much that man drank. You don't throw people around like that. We waited for the paramedics and cops to arrive. The bouncers were arguing and pushing around other customers who were trying to help the injured man. But of course, as soon as the cops arrive, they disappear inside. The cops did talk to one of the bouncers to get his statement. I watched the bouncer named Andrew completely lie to the cops. That was it. I was done. I just wanted to make sure that man was okay and then I was out. I am never coming to this bar again and I highly recommend everyone avoids it at all costs.

maybe it was my fault for going on a weekday but wow the service was bad. The bartender was rude and kept interrupting me? I loved the vibe and my drink was alright but we didn't stay for another drink due to the bartender.

I came to this amazing bar on Saturday for a girls night out on the town. The music was great, the drinks were cold, but what was even better was the bartender, Grace. She was so fun, her smile is electric. She was dancing through the crowd, setting the energy for my Saturday night. She really made my night with her shining personality.

Ashley was the best! Stopped in for a couple of drinks on our way home from a weekend at the beach house. We ended up staying much longer. Definitely coming back.

Bar smells like a bathroom entirely. Drinks are over priced. It's over crowded. And service is crap. Always fights and overall a bad place

Cool spot to grab a drink after getting dinner in SC. Karaoke night was fun and entertaining. Bartenders are okay? Not much enthusiasm or effort. I continue to go back for the vibes.

I came into Goodys the other night and had the best experience because of the bartender named Grace!! She was super sweet, excited, and knowledgeable. She helped me pick out what I wanted to drink and was very helpful. She made the most delicious mixed shooter for me! She was an amazing bartender & I will definitely be back for more!

2nd time here. It was just as fun as the 1st time! Popcorn and peanuts are available if you feel like having a little snack with your cocktail. Band was great. Bartenders were friendly and quick with our drinks. Crowd was very diverse and fun. We danced the night away.

The employees drive customers away with their horrible attitude- goodys please realize that this is a small town and you depend on word of mouth and loyal customers-

I've been to a few different bars in the area and I have to say Lexi was one of the best bartenders that I have encountered yet! really knows how to take good care of you, with an amazing Bloody Marry such a great attitude and beautiful smile! I been going to goodys for years I love it here they are like family! You want delicious awesome drinks always ask for Holly and Heather, Jen! They always got great karaoke nights especially the weekends gets lit! I had a great birthday weekend with them ! The bouncers are awesome mark, Herbie, Dana! I love you guys you all are the best!!

The bartender was very rude to me and my guy. We came in to celebrate the marine corps birthday and she told us that it's not a thing to celebrate and that we were drinking for the wrong reasons which contradicts being a bartender she also told my friend that he was unintelligent

I've been a goodys customer 6 years. I visited the bar again for the first time in a while last Sunday. I was extremely satisfied with my experience with the security at the door andrew. The amount of respect and care he had for his job really made me feel welcome. He even surprised me by later taking my drink order. Safe to say he is the reason I will be returning to this bar.

When a person does more than they are paid to do for a living each day eventually they will be paid more f for what they do ! Thank you Lexi !! This bar is amazing a d tonight I met Miles behind the bar And Lexi on the floor serving every need not only a great experience watching sports and dancing again but the people here truly care about the customer experience and it's obvious in the service . We came here tonight for a birthday. Great drinks, great service. We had a really nice Saturday night out. Lexi was great to recommend her favorite drinks to us ladies!

Best spot in San Clemente. Fun, fun, fun! Pool tables, darts, dance floor, The best entertainment in town! Every night of the week there is something fun going on, great drinks special's, happy hour everyday from open to 7pm, Free popcorn, friendly bartenders! A local spot that knows how to throw a party that's for sure.

A very friendly tavern. The bartender welcomed us in! The bouncer wished us a great night when we walked through the door and when we left. There is alittle shelf next to the door and the security guard kindly watched our drinks for us with a coaster. When we went out side for a smoke. 10 out of 10 will go back

I came in early this Monday and had the exquisite pleasure of meeting the HH bartender Ashley. Super friendly and welcoming, also made sure no one stayed thirsty for more than a couple seconds max! I used to come in and see Lexi here and she had set the "bar" very high as far as expectations goes. Miss her dearly but Ashley definitely holds her own. Anytime, day or night, Goodys is the place to be on a Monday!

It is now 1:20 in the morning. I just tried to enter the facility to have a good time with my friend who is visiting from out of town. The security of the venue said that they do not let people in after 1 o'clock. So if you want to have fun in San Clemente until two in the morning like a normal city in any other state, you have to go to Goody's, if you are in the city of San Clemente, and get there before 1 AM, or you cannot have fun until 2 AM in the state. Because they do not let people in after 1 AM so you're screwed.

They took my cac card when I'm over 21 because they didn't believe it was me and the bouncer was a complete asshole about it. I answered every question he asked then he proceeded to shove me till I left. Never coming back. Also never got my cac card back

Went there for the first time a while ago and was having a good time at the bar with a nice drink and talking to a random girl at the bar right till the bartender figures she snuck her own drink to the bar and tells the bouncers (I didn't know she did this and spent over $70 on my own cocktails there). The bouncers show up and tell me to beat it with a very disrespectful tone! I start explaining to one of them that I don't know this girl and didn't know she is sneaking her drinks inside but right when I start one of the bouncers grab me from behind and throws me out!!! Me and all my friends were shocked! They didn't say or do a thing to the girl! Totally ruined the night of a group of respectful paying customers.(that night I was the only brown skinned person in the bar). Never had this experience anywhere else as a tourist and not sure how the owner of this business would feel about this but I hd to share it.

Always a good band or karaoke. Pool tables and a fun crowd. Jenna with her vintage clothing and Jackie O hats as well as the the bartender is always friendly. Highly recommend this place.
