Honestly I don’t do to many reviews However, Goong has become mine and my wife’s new favorite place to eat the sushi comes out perfect every time. Their potstickers are the best I’ve ever tasted and don’t get me started on their baked mussels they are truly amazing. Not to mention the owners and staff are incredibly nice and happy you gotta try this pace

Was happy with my visit. Employees were all very kind and restaurant looked clean. Relaxing sort of "massage type" music was playing. Food came out quickly and it was nice and hot. I enjoyed my sushi roll and was happy with the large variety of rolls to choose from! Made it a little hard to decide, I'll have to come back to try more. Kimchi had good flavor with just the right amount of spice. Only thing I didn't enjoy was the noodle soup. Texture of noodles was off and it had very little flavor. The tempura shrimp were good but got soggy quickly after being placed in the soup

I don’t usually write reviews, but Goong has become one of our absolute go-to spots! The food is consistently fantastic—I’ve never left disappointed. Nan is truly one of the best servers I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting: attentive, kind, and always makes us feel so welcome. She’s especially wonderful with my 3-year-old daughter, who absolutely loves coming here. She gives me the best Auntie vibe you could ask for. If you’ve been on the fence about trying Goong, take this as your sign. I wholeheartedly recommend it!

I was extremely pleasantly surprised by this place. The Korean barbecue combos are amazing and well worth the price. So much meat, various side dishes, and even a sushi roll are included with the combos. Everything tasted wonderful. Amazing service, very very kind and helpful. Delicious. Highly recommend!!!!

This place is phenomenal!!! Every time I have been the staff is so kind, the food is delicious, and we get our food quickly! Today I ordered the spicy pork and it came out sizzling it was so fresh! There is a ton of options for sushi, main dishes, drinks, and sides! I reccomend this place to everyone!

The food came out quickly and was so good!! Loved the soft music that played and the staff were so nice! They asked my name and gave me free cake because it was my Birthday! They were so sweet, I loved everything about this place. The menu was vast and everything was delicious ! 😋

Fantastic service and great food. We’ve come a few times and tried different things from a lunch special to sushi for dinner. This is better than most sushi in the area but not as good as higher end sushi places. We haven’t tried the buffet dinner before but it runs about $88 for two people. If you go on Tuesday or Wednesday it’s 25% sushi (excluding specialty rolls). For lunch ~$9.99 + for sushi roll + tip - got the teriyaki chicken bowl which was great and a Vegas with potstickers. For dinner ~$70 + tip- We liked the cowboy (hopefully you like chipotle), the lucky, the Vegas, and the B.T.S. We didn’t mind the Payson, and thought the Spicy tuna was alright. Good place overall but not too high end sushi. Hits the spot though, especially because the flavors are distinct unlike a cheap sushi place.

If you don’t give this restaurant a 5 stars, then your tastebuds are dysfunctional! Top quality Korean food at an excellent price and generous portions! Great service that makes you feel at home! 잘 먹었습니다~ 또 올게요! 항상 화이팅!

Oh goodness.... So good!!! It was my first time eating here. I had the tuna tower sushi. Solved all the problems I've had with trying to delicately fit a while sushi piece in my mouth without it falling apart and it was super yummy!! Staff was so kind and attentive and prices were very reasonable. Place was clean too. We'll definitely be back

Disappointing Experience - Not Worth the Hype or the Price, not sure why it gets 5 stars. We had high hopes for GoongK Korean BBQ, especially with all the sushi they have prominently displayed everywhere - but unfortunately, it was a letdown across the board. The sushi was honestly terrible: low quality, poorly prepared, and definitely not fresh. The entrees weren't much better - bland, forgettable, and definitely not worth the price. For three people, the bill came out to over $100, which might be acceptable if the food or service stood out in any way, but sadly, it didn't. You can get far better Korean BBQ elsewhere for less money and with much better quality. Save your time and money - skip GoongK and go to a place that actually delivers on flavor and value.

This is a local, family-owned business that I would gladly recommend to try! There aren't many decent Asian food options in the Springville/Spanish Fork area, I was so happy to find Goong! Every time I've come through, they've been quite busy, I'm so happy that others are also taking a liking to Korean food. The menu is quite extensive and ranges from sushi to Korean BBQ. I bookmarked Goong specifically for KBBQ. And they do not disappoint! In fact I love how accommodating and helpful they are! The gentleman assists in the KBBQ cooking and offers suggestions on how to season it. I'm no KBBQ virgin, but I appreciate it when he comes by to help me out. The banchan are also fantastic. Service is awesome! They come by regularly to fill water and check on everyone. I would definitely come here when I'm in the area!

Nice little Korean spot in Springville. They have kbbq and sushi. I went there for the oxtail soup. It came out bubbling hot! The meat was melt off the bone tender. It was really sweet though, too sweet for my taste in a savory dish, especially a broth. I also got the bulgogi bibimbap. I loved it because it came with so many vegetables and banchan.

Stopped here on the way out of town and it was the best decision ever. Fairly small restaurant but the food and service was top notch and completely unexpected. Appears to be family run. We were seated right away on a Friday evening for early dinner, but it quickly filled up. Seating area consists of multiple private booths which was nice. You have the option to grill your own meat at your seat or order from the various Japanese and Korean dishes. The variety was great and quality for the price was spectacular. We ordered a beef bento box, a Kim chi soup and a the gangdam roll which was wrapped in cucumber and so refreshing. The food came with three ban chan which consisted of Kim chi, pickled cucumbers and bean sprouts. They were all delicious and the perfect crunchy accompaniment. The bento box was a big helping of beef and sauteed onions over warm rice, a California roll, fried gyoza, cabbage salad, miso soup and an egg roll. My husband's Kim chi soup wasn't the most authentic tasting he said but his nonetheless. Service was quick and friendly and we left satiated and happy. They also offer amazing lunch and dinner specials throughout the week.

I have been many times and it is always so delicious. The service is amazing and they treat you like you are a part of their family. The food is Korean mixed with American, the fish is fresh, the ox tail soup is to die for- so tender! I have had many of the sushi rolls and all of them are amazing and made to order, not premade like other places. I will be going here many more times

This was restaurant was amazing. We went for my wife's birthday and were treated like family. The food was amazing and the service was the best I have gotten at any restaurant I've been to in years. It was a smaller restaurant so the atmosphere was quiet and friendly. We will definitely make the drive from Salt Lake City many more times to enjoy the food and conversation with the owners.

Lunch here is a no brainer. AMAZING value, quick service, and top tier quality. We did the BBQ lunch for two and it was great. Got to pick ANY sushi roll to share - wasn't constrained to the cheap options, which was awesome. The meat turned out great and it was a memorable experience for my buddy and I.

Sushi rolls and egg rolls for us! We will try the bbq next time! We got here about 1 hour before close and they weren't offering the bbq unfortunately. The service was very nice, everyone was very kind. I'd recommend the sushi. Cali crunch and a specialty roll for me.

I went this restaurant twice. They are closed last two times due to family reason. I went there today, I so glad that I made the choice. The food is so authentic. The owner lady is super nice. Wlll definitely come back again. I will give them 5 star review!

Truly authentic Korean food. The portions are insane. Far more food the. You could possibly eat and it's all amazing!!! The owners are incredibly hospitable. This place is a hidden gem!

Came in for a quick lunch and Goong has a great lunch specials. Select roll served with 2 potstickers and a drink for $10! I chose the lucky roll today, it was fresh and delicious. Our table was very clean as was all utensils and plates. Our waitress was very friendly and informative. We will definitely be back.

2nd time here last weekend, and just as good and friendly! Salmon roll was delicious.

Wow. I rarely ever make yelp reviews, but I just had to for Goong. On the way to Yellowstone with my friends on a long 8 hour drive we were looking for a place to grab dinner. Goong was nearby but we saw it was closing in 30 minutes, so we called in to check if it was okay to come in and possibly stay after closing. A nice korean lady, (I think the owner), answered and she ushered us to come in regardless. When we came and sat down, she showed so much hospitality and was so nice. I ordered the chicken bento box and I have to say food is even better, better than the korean barbecues in California. Highly highly recommend. Side note: We also liked the music that was playing.

Best sushi in Utah county FOR SURE!! 25% off most rolls Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. We love Goong and the friendly staff and delicious rolls!

I don't know where to begin.... So so much good to say about the food and the staff/owners! Weve taken our adult kids here for their birthday dinners and found that the owners even remembered our names! The food is as good not better then the restaurants and sidewalk bar/restaurants I would eat at in Seoul when I served there in the Army. This place brings back all the good memories I have of the people and food of Korea, you wont be disappointed!

Visiting family here from california. Love the food the service is amazing. It had an inviting and warm atmosphere. We came with family and there was something from everyone to eat

We ordered the bibimbap, beef bulgolgi, pit stickers, and a dragon roll. For 2 of us it was more than enough food and it was all tasty. Nan and the rest of the staff were all very friendly. After we had paid and were on our way out we were talking to Nan about possibly grabbing one of their desserts to go, and she offered us a slice of her own birthday cake. She was working on her birthday and someone else had brought her a cake. We'll be back for sure when we are in the area

The owner is incredibly kind and the food is absolutely delicious. We had the stone bowl bibimbap, bulgogi & misubi -- all really flavorful. We'll be back to try the Korean bbq.

My first time to this place. LOVE IT. My wife went last week, so she suggested we go again and I agree. I am picky about food but this place was amazing. Great food and great service. The owners were very personable. It's a must visit place if you like Korean food and sushi. It was so yummy!!!!

I came with five granddaughters, my son & DiL, and my parents. We ordered the big pork & beef combo. Just one, for all ten of us. They brought out five types of banchan, two types of soup (kimchee & oxtail), bulgogi, pork ribs, steak, barbecue pork, plus they cooked beef and pork on the table in front of us. We even got a dessert. Yes, it cost ~$200 with tax & tip, but that's not bad for ten people all getting thoroughly stuffed PLUS we had a big platter of leftovers to take home. When we asked for more banchan they were happy to bring it. They were polite, helpful, and painstaking. I am from Dallas where we have a LOT of Korean places and I can say this stands up to any of them. Even the littlest, pickiest granddaughter loved the food from her first bite. They even brought a dessert. Well done, Goong. You have a convert in me.

We went to Goong on a busy Friday night. We had a large group and the service was some of the best I've experienced in a long time. The food was also amazing. We had the bulgogi and stone bowl bimbimbap and it was all delicious and fresh. Even our little kids ate the rice, meat, and veggie tempura super well. It's hard to find a place that parents and kids can enjoy. We will definately be coming back.

Wow so good! Some of the best food I've ever put in my mouth. Got the spicy Pork and some Sushi.

Our hostess was energetic and friendly sharing her experiences in the area. We tried their homemade kimchi which had just the right amount of heat. The beef Bulgogi bowl was amazing and filling. We also tried the Scorpion roll which had just the right amount of spices. Made me think of Korean BBQ in San Diego we will be back.

We happened by after stopping at Walmart. We had a few of their lunch specials. Teriyaki bowl and the Springville sushi roll. The food was fresh, and tasted great. They are open Tuesday- Saturday from 11-2:30 and 4:30-7pm. Closed Sunday and Monday. Will definitely be here again!

6/5 stars! First off, we were seated by the cutest lady who had a big smile on her face. She checked in on us a couple times as we were looking over the menu. Then, the other waiter came over and gave us PERFECT recommendations and we enjoyed everything we ordered. The portions were generous and we were able to take home leftovers. I'd recommend the Bbq pork. It was sweet and spicy! Even if you don't wanna do the full on Korean BBQ package, they have so many options from sushi, to comforting stew, to authentic Korean entrees. They had all the side dishes. Hit all the marks. There's something for everyone's price range and appetite. COME SUPPORT! LETS KEEP THESE WONDERFUL PEOPLE IN BUSINESS!

The food is a 10/10, I ordered the beef bulgogi with rice and cucumbers. The ambiance is very welcoming and clean and the waiter is friendly. The service is amazing. Definitely recommend others to stop by

Love, love, love this place! The food is amazing, large portions, and the staff so friendly and attentive. I had the hot stone bibimap and I highly recommend it. My sister got the bento tray and it was so great. Will definitely be back.

This place was a new experience for me. It was not the kind of food that i enjoy. I liked the idea of cooking at the table, but it would have been better for them to just bring me one or two bowls of items that I want. Perhaps we experimented too much. What really hit me was the cost for what I was getting. If this was a little less, I don't think i would have minded it much. However, the sticker shock was a bit too much I just could not go back and pay that much for that experience again.

The food and service were incredible! Very energetic and friendly staff. We went to celebrate my dad's birthday and the entire staff came out to wish him a happy birthday with some fruit sushi rolls. If you don't have much experience with Korean Barbecue, they do a fantastic job of explaining and demonstrating how to do it, and happily explain what each dish is and how to cook it. Very authentic experience. I would highly recommend coming here.

The sushi was amazing!! I'm a big sushi lover and have tried many sushi restaurants in Utah. This one is top 5 best sushi places in Utah. Food was super fresh. Service was amazing as well, the sushi chef came out to greet me and make sure I was satisfied with my sushi. Atmosphere was nice as well with soft music in the background, clean restaurant and clean bathrooms.

Service was quick and friendly. My party ordered the udon, the beef bulgogi, the BTS sushi, and bibimbap. All of it was great! They even gave us a free sushi roll that was also yummy. We were in and out in under an hour.

Food was great! The oxtails were amazing and the stone bowl bimbimbap was very good. Banchan was also very good. Service was excellent.

5th time here for the past 12 months, service and quality are nice and stable. Average price is $60/ person, you get what you pay for. Love oxtail soup.

Absolutely amazing people, food and energy in this establishment! My server was very polite and energetic. As a trucker it's not very often that I come across really good food and really nice people. My server had conversation with me about life in my end and hers. The food was so delicious, I ordered the Elvis roll, spicy pork bowl meal and both were amazing! She brought me out corn cheese on the house which was also very good! If you are coming through the area or from here definitely give this place a try! It's a hidden gem!! Thank you Nan and Sean! We haven't been here since a change of ownership. The new owners are Korean and have brought some real, authentic Korean flavors to their restaurant. There is an emphasis on meat here, and the flavors are incredible. We ordered the family meal, which was a feast for 6 people. We all agreed that we would recommend this restaurant. I missed the traditional japchae. I'd also like to see some more traditional Korean beverages like Barley Tea, Dalgona or Milkis. Kamsahamnida (감사합니다) we will return in the future.

Wow. Had several sushi rolls and each one amazing. I had one with mango and was sublime. Highly recommend Goong.

What a great place! The food was outstanding, fun, very reasonably priced, and the owner was so lovely and sweet. We had the most amazing lunch!

Wow. Absolutely incredible. If you like Korean BBQ and aren't scared by a more authentic one with more authentic food (spicier Kimchi, less American marinades, not all you can eat Korean BBQ where there are a million sides) then you should ABSOLUTELY try Goong Korean BBQ in Springville. It's not all you can eat so the quality is drastically higher, but obviously you pay for that quality. So prices are higher compared to your average Korean BBQ restaurant. We got a beef combo (which feeds 2-3 people) and everything was absolutely phenomenal. It came with tons of sides including Kimchi, a variety of pickled veggies, a kimchi pancake, rice, and more. The beef was obviously the star. They started with a plate of bulgogi (already cooked) which was absolutely delicious. They then brought brisket and a ribeye steak which you could cook or they cook for you standing next to your table. We thought that was a nice touch, and something you don't typically find at a Korean BBQ place due to the rush of all you can eat. Finally they brought a large tender beef rib that was literally on fire which was fun, and they sliced it up for you. All the beef was excellent. After all that the head chef/owner brought out a complimentary ox tail stew which is one of the most incredible things I've ever eaten. Absurdly tender ox tail, the most amazing broth, and eaten over rice it was absolutely incredible. I could've eaten just that for my meal and been thrilled. I will literally be returning primarily to get more of that ox tail stew, it was that good. Then to finish it off the combo came with some mochi ice cream which is always a hit. All of this food I mentioned above was part of the small beef combo that cost around 90 dollars. More pricey than your average Korean BBQ place but also, in my opinion, substantially better and worth the price. This is not a restaurant for kids generally speaking. There's no kids menu, and of course the flavors, unless your kids are used to this kind of thing, are not something that many kids would enjoy. So I would recommend this is an adults-only dinner location unless your kids love these flavors. There is so much I could say about Goong but honestly the best I can say is I will 100% be going back. And you better believe I'll be ordering that ox tail stew.

Tried this place last night. We loved it. It's owned by a fun Korean couple who served our table. They had great energy and were very friendly. We got the beef bulgogi and the spicy pork bowls, both were an A+ with so much flavor. We also tried the sushi for fun and got the Vegas roll and lucky roll, both were also excellent. We had way too much food but we like to try new things at a new place. We will definitely be going back and will take the kids next time.

Absolutely wonderful service from everyone there. The server was engaging and talkative, very cordial. We ordered the Korean BBQ, it was so good. A chef cooked for us, the Ribeye melted in your mouth. So delicious, I would recommend it above anywhere else I've been in Utah, just for the friendliness of the staff! Please try it out, you won't be disappointed. Ask for the spicy Korean sauce!

Just came here for the first time. We were kindly greeted when we arrived, and all the staff was so friendly and easy to work with! The restaurant is clean and so cute. I ordered spicy pork and a California roll, and it was amazing. It came with free side dishes and soup. The staff even gave us free potstickers and a free sushi roll! I will definitely come back. I had an amazing experience.

Amazing service. Great food. Awesome service. Friendly and fast. Since I moved i have not been able to get any Bulgogi in 6 years. On our way home from a business trip. We found Goong. And oh man. Sooo happy!!!!

Hubby and I are new to town and we've been hunting for a quality Korean food fix and we are SO GLAD we found Goong. The staff (apparently the new owners) were so excited to see us and the food was EXCELLENT. Hubs ordered bulgogi and I got the stone bowl bibimbap. We cleaned every inch of our plates... also tried sushi for the heck of it and it was fresh and delicious. The chef's housemade kimchi is AMAZING, such good spice. We will definitely be back!

If I could give more stars I would. The sushi was amazing especially the lucky roll but it was all tasty. Meat was great, huge portions. We will be coming back here often! Arguably the best service we've ever had, the workers were all so nice!
