Very cool store. Great quality clothing plus featured artists. Would definitely go there again. Seriously considering a gorgeous sculpture I saw there the other day.

Nice, but expensive. David, the store owner, is always helpful. A small but very well curated selection of all menswear. The high prices may be fair, but prevent this particular reviewer from giving it 5 stars. Maybe someday...

I stumbled upon this store close to my home and decided to try to find a same day birthday gift for my husband. I was successful! The merchandise is gorgeous and well made. Staff is so helpful. Some things are priced quite high but there was plenty to choose from in a more moderate price range. I highly recommend this men's store for a very relaxed and fruitful shopping experience.

Went in this weekend and was treated like a second class citizen. Followed around the shop and was treated like my money wasn't green enough. Smh!

Steve McQueen would shop here. This is good enough reason to shop here. Sure, it's pricey, but so was your Ed Hardy t-shirt. Grow up, get nice clothes that last, jeans that are a challenge to break in and sunglasses that Steve McQueen would- well DID wear. They carry Persol's tribute to the man that made your dad feel like less of one. But not my dad, I was smart and bought him clothes from GB. The staff is helpful, smart, and extremely friendly. Stop in and say hi on your way to the waterfront. Look at the art on the walls, you can buy that, too.

This is a great store for men's clothing. Come here to check out new trends from up-and-coming designers. it's got a great mix of vintage and new clothing/items. I especially love the vintage sunglasses. One of a kind pieces people! Definitely worth a visit.

Really enjoyed this spot. Although a little more expensive than I'm used to, each article of clothing is more like a timeless piece for my wardrobe. I store worth visiting and revisiting.

Ever since moving into the neighborhood I've been trying to shop locally. This place hit the spot for the refined style I've been seeking. I'm new to buying good clothes and I don't like shopping. i usually buy clothes at thrift stores and often find them in the garbage, etc. But recently I decided to step up my game, and to spend a little money for a more elegant, mature profile. Rather than trying to be trendy, I'm looking for well-made clothes that fit well. I got two articles at Goose Barnacle, made by Svensson-- a pair of sneakers and a shirt, both of which I really like. Neither of the articles was cheap, though one was on sale at a considerable discount. Regardless I don't mind spending money on a couple well made things. What I liked most about the store was the friendliness that is conspicuously missing from other boutiques. Rather than feeling exclusive and pretentious, as some of these places tend towards, the proprietor was welcoming and knowledgeable about design and history, and gave me some good advice about wearing certain fabrics and cuts. The proprietor is originally from that neighborhood too. So it was relaxing to sit on the couch there and chat with the various people who came by, some of them neighborhood people, others foreign visitors etc.
