Goose Island

The place is small, crowded, and looks outdated. They had only two beers on tap, a Belgian one and Michelob... which I hardly consider a beer. Ordered their Belgian beer. It was overpriced at $13.5!!! for a pint plus tax... In PDX I had a really tasty PNW IPA for a half of that price... They ran out of chips and fish, so I had to resort to chicken wings. The chicken wings came without celery and napkins, and we're not cheap either... Later on the server threw some on my table. Not impressed at all...

Hey!! How are you!! This place is unreal! They have a great selection of deep dish Chicago-style pizza and the servers are just brilliant I was so excited to be there but I didn’t want to leave at all. Hope to come back soon.

Goose Island provided fast service despite a surprising level of continuous service requirement. The restaurant was absolutely full but we still received efficient food and drink service. Honestly our group of 4 took what seemed to be the last 4 seats in the house and we're still served efficiently. Good food, good drinks, efficient service.

Actually the worst server experience I’ve ever had. They put a QR code on the table and you can’t even use it until one of the servers walks over (basically took my phone out of my hand and did my entire order for me) while being pushy and impatient. I had no time to look at the menu. It’s not just one server. Seemed to be the two female ones. The guy at the table next to me turned to his buddy and said “wow the service here is miserable”. $15 a beer. No Diet or Coke Zero. Burger was fine (you’re only allowed to choose medium temp) served with a kid sized amount of old fries. I’m convinced the only reason this place is open is that the location is convenient at the end of the concourse. If I wasn’t charging this on a company expense report I would have got up and walked out. Do not go here.

We did not order food, but we did go on the tour. The tour guide, along with the rest of the staff were great. Friendly, knowledgeable and fun are the first three words that come to mind.

The pulled pork sandwich was basically Lloyds bbq from a supermarket. Barely any meat and just a ton of sauce. The fries had no seasoning. The waitress would mumble stuff to you as she walked by.

The food was below average — quite oily, and the potatoes tasted like they were cooked in oil that wasn’t fresh.

Great bartender, they can't change the channels off ESPN & ESPN 2. Corporate took away their TV remotes. Fries are not my jam, but the pulled pork was delicious!

I had an exceptionally long layover and wanted to grab something to eat. I picked Goose Island based on the proximity to my gate, found a seat at the bar, and settled in. Ambiance was indeed fairly typical of most airport restaurants. There was the bar and then a bunch of low tables arranged in rows. Very basic. The television showed a soccer game that most people earnestly watched. Fellow patrons were polite and conversational. Luis, the bartender, was superb. He was super attentive and very personable. I realized then that it had been many months since I have seen an airport employee smile. As this thought occurred to me I observed the other employees and noticed how each seemed genuinely pleased. Even a waiter who was called in on his day off was engaging and very friendly. From my vantage I could see the kitchen operations and after seeing the third cheeseburger I couldn't resist further and ordered one. The burger was delicious - good bun to meat ratio, cheesy, savory deliciousity. The fries weren't anything worth noting. They were basic fries - a bit dry. I really had a great time here!

Eh, regular airport pub experience. Food is barebones, but came fast, and is quite edible. The burger is quite tasty, even! However, the sides and condiments definitely have a lot of room for improvements. The pulled pork sandwich is literally pulled pork in sauce between buns. The beer is decent and to be expected from Goose Island. If the beer isn't even good I would've flipped my table. That said, service is quite lacking, and the tables and chairs are really not comfortable for weary travelers -- there is hardly any space for a jacket and a backpack!

Kim was an amazing server. She was attentive and brought us our food quickly. The location is pretty good. It's in the heart of the airport so it's one of the better options to choose from. The prices are about average for what you'd expect from an airport. The flavor of the food was really satisfying in the morning. Next time I come through here, I will be back! Bottom line/TLDR: stellar customer service!

Came here to kill time waiting by our gate. We saw one waitress running around taking care of probably 2 dozen tables, and she was very busy but super nice. They have QR codes on the tables, and you order your food and drink online and the waitress brings it out to you. We ordered the cheeseburger (pictured) cooked medium, she got an espresso martini and I got a beer, totaling like $65 or so I think. There's only like 4 sandwich options, very small menu understandably for an airport. The burger was good...there was a lot of salad to meat but still tasty nonetheless. Very busy, having to seat yourself, we just sat on the outside of the gate where they had a few tables, therefore I never got to see inside the bar area seating. Our burger was brought out surprisingly quick too

I stopped in a restaurant before I came here. All they had was pre-made breakfast sandwiches. Ehhhh I was looking for traditional breakfast. I left walked down the hall and found Goose Island. Looked at the menu and looked at what people were eating. Yes this is what I was looking for. I seated myself and ordered off the bar code on the table. A waitress came up to me after I ordered and gave me a menu. I said I already ordered online . She said oh good you know about these things, most people don't. I smiled. Thinking what she really said most people my age don't know how to use their phone to order. Now the guy and lady on each side of me ordered off the menu. They did not know how to scan the bar code with your camera. They said that after I told the waitress I ordered online. The Food : it is what you would expect, I did put in the notes crispy bacon and potatoes. That is the way they came out to me. The food was good , not the greatest but good for an Airport restaurant. The waitress was very friendly and attentive. She came and filled up my coffee cup when it was low. Took away my dishes when I was finished. The Ambiance: well how much can you have with one open end of the restaurant to the airport. It was ok. Overall I would come here again , I usually fly American so I will look them up next time.

43761/Vesselin Wonderful service performed by Vesselin She definitely is a diamond in the rough I totally appreciated her attention to how to keep the customer happy and content Can I mention the Caesar salad substituted and given to us for lack of French fries during this very evening. Yet later when French fries were available she brings us some. :) I'm also impressed that the hamburger was exceptional and even the salad was tasty and fresh and the French fries are real potatoes sliced in house and blanched and fried. Restaurant food and server are way above what is normal for now a days. A+

I had a lovely pit stop before my flight great drink to give me a nice chill. Good service nice pause before my connecting flight took off.

Great service, Caesar salads, and BBQ pork - - - - - - - - July, 2023 Visit We visited St. Kitts and Nevis (SKN) for the first time in 2023, and had a great time. We had a connection through O'Hare / ORD. Once we deplaned, we were hungry. AND then we saw Goose Island. Kim seated us and took our orders. Kim was most wonderfully friendly and helpful. We enjoyed really good chicken Caesar salads and BBQ pulled pork. Filled, we started our walk to the H terminal; we passed several eating establishments, all surely good, and having had eaten at most of them on multiple previous visits, I'm confident that Kim was friendlier than most servers, and that the food at Goose Island is a step above most airport food. Thank you, Kim and Goose Island!

FOR REAL, if i'm at the airport, i need a STIFF drink to make me feel like im not gonna die in a fiery accident and this drink was WEAK and underpoured. THEE only reason it's not 1 star is because my server Jeff was DELIGHTFUL. if i could stand outside goose island brewing with a picket sign protesting them i would. Their bartenders need training so desperately badly.

Solidly ok airport fare. Cheese curds are hot and crisp and the Pinot Grigio is palatable. Overpriced as is all airport food

Kim our server was so sweet and kind. My wife and I had breakfast just before our flight and then we returned for drinks because our flight was delayed. The mushroom omelet was delicious and the pancakes too Our Lemon Drop Martini was great and my wife was happy with her beer. A must visit at terminal 3 L7 location Kim thank you for your service and I can't remember the young man at breakfast but, he was awesome too

Amazing service, large beer selection and an amazing menu that you will sure find something that you love. The atmosphere was fantastic and our waitress was very friendly and efficient. You definitely want to give these folks a try if you are in the area.

Here's what you need to know: food is 2 stars. Pricing is reasonable so 4 stars there, beer selection is good so 5 stars there, and service is 5+ stars. Food came out pretty quickly once we got seated. Let's start with the service. Diana and her OL league were AMAZING. As friendly service as you have any right to expect at any restaurant - airport or anywhere. Now let's talk food food. We ordered burgers, fries, and cheese curds. Burger beef were out of a box for sure - they asked us for doneness level and we said medium. It came well done :) buns had a strong margarine flavor. Cheese tasted of wax. But hey, it was kind of our expectation. Fries were not warm enough and not crunchy enough - like they were under fried and sat out under a heat lamp too long Cheese curds has a very synthetic powdery batter, cheese inside was flavorless. Ranch dip was poor tasting - out of a cheap food service bag Pricing is good for the airport. We paid 60 for 4 people

I only ended up here after a long night of delayed flights so of course I needed a drink! The place is fairly small with about 10/15 tables and a bar. I decided to sit at the bar. Originally I didn't know what I wanted until the bartender made a pretty drink. I later found out it was a Mai Tai so I decided to get it as well. I'm more of a fruity/pretty drink type of person so this drink was perfect! Not too much liquor or sweetness. The bartender was attentive and the waitress checked on me even though I wasn't her table. Glad to have had this place near my gate to calm my nerve because it was a night! I wish I would have ordered wings as well because they smelled so good! Maybe next time!

Just don't. if all you need is a beer, find another place. Taps obviously hadn't been cleaned in a long time as the beer tasted disgusting. Drank about 1/4 of it and quit. Airport was crowded, as were all the other restaurants and bars, but only one other customer here, which should have been a red flag. I didn't even want to ask for a different beer, since the bartender was busy shit-talking with a drunk customer. Never again

Warm beer, and stale. Not like it was some off band. Bub light should move pretty well Microwaved pretzel. You stuck but you could really just sit down and have a drink and meal at your place and do what the f%^k is this!!

It's an airport restaurant so you already know the price point is high BUT this is actually in line with any local burger restaurant theses days. A burger and a beer hits the spot the fries are a little weak- I like mine a bit more crispy. Service is fast. QR codes at each table for fast menu service and to order if you chose that option. For me the server was right there when I walked up so equally fast for me.

Can't say much but it holds it own at terminal 3 serving cold beer they do make mixed drinks now this isn't a 5 star but I give em E for effort small menu but they got what you need burgers,wings,salad,fish&chips I went with the cheese curds I wanted something cold to sip on while I was waiting for my flight to board it was worth what I needed. They do play good music by the way. Service is quick.

Located in the heart (or at least a busy area) of terminal C, Goose Island is for those who just don't want to look for food anymore or maybe who enjoy their beer. The cons include it is busy inside and out, it's across from the restrooms so naturally people will build up. The fries are blah, and people will sit at the tables as though they're working on their novel in a Starbucks. As this is the only sit-down restaurant nearby, the later was frustrating. The pros include efficient service, an attentive waitstaff even though they had a crazy amount of people to deal with, and the cheese curds appetizer is amazing! So cheesey and well fried, it's a good emotional pick me up.

Way too expensive-- even more so than your typical airport eatery. I got a mediocre Caesar salad and an order of pretzel knots with a no-refill beverage for $40. Contrary to what others have mentioned on Yelp, I found the beer cheese overrated... While the servers all wore masks, the social distancing appeared to be limited. It's not a large restaurant and I think they do the best they can... This was pretty much the only option near my gate and I was a little short in time, otherwise I would have gotten something elsewhere. I'd recommend finding another restaurant if you are able.

Bartender did not know what he was doing. I ordered an Old Fashioned and he added sweet vermouth, shook it (???) and then charged me $23. When I protested, he said it was a Corporate policy to charge for 2 liquors! Where I come from, we only use Bourbon, sugar and bitters. And we stir it.

Not too bad for airport food. Not great but not bad. Service was good although one of the drinks was wrong.

Airport restaurants are always a hit or miss. I was very surprised to see this place only had 2 stars on yelp, as I'd consider this place more of a hit than not. Service was super fast. We got our food within 10-15 minutes of walking into the place and we were there for a total of like 30 minutes, which is great since our flight was boarding soon. The waitress here runs this place as tight as the navy, all while being friendly. Food was pretty decent. Not spectacular for the price, but I wouldn't say it's as terribly overpriced as a lot of airport places are... I had the fish and chips, which were fresh and tasty. The fries were good - not salted the best, but my plate came with so much. Good beer, also not nearly as overpriced as at other places. My partner had the impossible burger, which he liked as well. Overall, this places sure gets the job done as far as airport restaurants go, and I don't think they deserve the low rating they currently have.

A sign stating, "Please seat yourself" was posted. I sat down, and waited, and waited, and waited for assistance. The employees looked at me, but no one acknowledged me or walked over to take my order. Ok. I scanned the QR code and placed an order for coffee and breakfast. A couple with a young child came in, and were promptly greeted and received coffee. Still no acknowledgment from the female waitress. It was only as I was leaving that she asked if I needed anything. I don't expect much, but they could clearly see me. Very disappointing.

I decided to stop by here for breakfast because I knew that I'd only end up getting cold, mediocre lunch on the plane, at best. I mean, you know your flight will be middle of the road when the flight crew couldn't be bothered to turn on the convection ovens. Buuuut....I digress. For starters, the menu is succinct and affordable, as far as airport food goes. To my surprise, my scrambled eggs were light and fluffy! I was so worried they'd cook them to the point of dry foam...as most restaurants tend to do. That's why I normally never order my eggs scrambled when I dine out. One thing that caught my attention was...on the menu, it says you're getting two eggs. Yet it never ceases to amaze me when the scrambled eggs come out looking as if they added a third egg. Almost like they served up egg beaters instead. But if they did, they were the best tasting liquid eggs I've had since Golden Corral. I dunno what the obsession is with airport restaurants serving tater tots for breakfast. But it's not a deal breaker for me and it works well here. The bacon was also on point. And, of course, the cap to making this a complete breakfast was my finely mixed mimosas. Overall, breakfast at the Goose Island Brewpub was a 9 out of 10 for me. I only wish they didn't serve me dry toast which then only came in rye or sourdough. Also, this place is obnoxiously loud (I mean, the television was literally blaring at full volume). I'm giving the Goose 4 light and fluffy scrambled eggs out of 5.

Service wasn't that good, I am a patient person usually. Never got a menu after asking for one, it took 15 minutes of pushing to final get a drink. Staff was tired and frustrated. The woman server was positive and I wish she was my waitress. Need some manager and organization to help staff manage the huge influx of demand. Wish management and ownership cared more to improve experience, limited food and drink options, this one could really take more business if the service was better.

QR code doesn't work and waiting for server to take our order for half an hour. We asked them again but still no one comes to our table. We decided to leave. Worst!!

My fiance and I each ordered an appetizer. Also nice to stop and get a beer while waiting for our flight. My fiance got the pretzel sticks with beer cheese dip. Definitely did not taste like a beer cheese. And the pretzels were suuuppeer buttery. I got their hummus plate - this one I enjoyed a lot! Very good hummus! Our waiter was really good. Although it took him forever to wrap up our meal and present the check, which I found odd since the restaurant is in an airport where everyone is scrambling to make their flight on time... Pretty pricey of course, with it being in the airport. But I enjoyed their hummus and would get it again. Also a good amount of seating.

Dismissive service. I had mentioned my fries were cold the waitress says nothing grabs my plate and returns not even a minute later saying "all better". They were 100% the same fries . No quality check of the food... chicken wings were average and chicken sandwich was average. Fries do not bother getting them. They are cold and look undercooked. If you are at ORD , I'd suggest trying another spot.

Stopped in for a cocktail and dinner while at O'Hare. Salad was good and reasonable but when I recieved the bill my one that's 1 as in single cocktail Bloody Mary was $21.59 it was made with a mix and had a slice of lemon, lime, and one olive. I questioned the ridiculousness of this price even for O'Hare Airport and just got shoulder shrugs. Won't be back and letting everyone I know who travels to stay away from here. Talk about ripping off your customers no wonder Bloody Mary's and price aren't on the menu!!!!

When looking for an airport bar, this one is pretty good at the far end of the L Terminal. Problem is, there is never any air in this terminal and it doesn't matter how cold outside it is, the temp is about 80+ all the time. What helps? A cold beer! Now, this is where Chicago and I don't really get along. See, here more into Ales and I'm more of a stout or porter girl. There's the rub. So, I didn't get the cold beer I needed, but I DID find a fine Whiskey and Bourbon list and enjoyed a glass of Basil Hayden! Mmmm! Although I didn't order food, my neighbor at the bar ordered soup (why, in this heat??) and the hummus platter. He said they were both great and the hummus came with not only pita triangles, but fresh vegetables too! From the bar you can view boarding easily at several gates, so there's no stress of missing a plane and that's the best situated bar in the entire O'Hare airport!! If you're a cold-blooded ale drinker, you would for sure have given this bar 5 stars!!

Quick service. Decent burger. Ok fries. Servers are friendly. Very busy end of spirit & American air terminals. Across from bathrooms. It's a crux of humanity coming & going here. Trying to quench thirst with a brew & some sustenance for your stomach. Thumbs up.

Ate here mid afternoon on a weekday layover. Service was excellent. My beer was an excellent recommendation from my server. But at $13 bucks ridiculous. Made mistake of ordering worst burger ever for $15.50; thin, overcooked beef (?) not fit for a dog. Do not recommend.

As you could imagine, typical airport prices (overpriced) so you just gotta count on the service. Catching a flight to LA and got an hour to kill. So I am gonna just grab a quick beer, forget the food. A beer should get me through the dreadful 4 hours of flight. I ll grab me In N Out later. I decided to just sit at the bar, their menu looks very tempting, but I am gonna pass on that. And I would like to give them all the stars for their service. Anna was my bartender/server. She is extremely sweet and greeted me me with a big smile. So early, don't feel like talking to anyone, but she is so nice and helpful. All credit (4 stars) goes to Anna. Might try some for next time if I have enough time on hand.

I was a little anxious, I received a text alert the day prior. It stated that I should arrive at the airport 3 hours early because alot of people have early flights. I woke up at 2am, I packed and arrived at the airport around 3:30 am and I passed through TSA by 5:15 am. When I sat down to eat breakfast, I was exhausted. When I arrived at Goose Island, I was pleasantly greeted by Mrs. Kim. I placed an order and she repeated the order back to me. I corrected her, she said, "American Cheese" and I said, "Swiss". It's not what you say, but it's how you say it. I may have barked at her alittle. She walked away and said that would return in a few minutes with my Mojito. When she returned with my drink, she started talking about herself and her family and within minutes I was smiling, laughing and engaging in conversation with her. She excused herself, grabbed my breakfast and returned to my table. When she returned with my breakfast, I apologized for barking at her. She smiled and said, " Thank you, enjoy your breakfast, if you need anything, I'm around". The mojito was ok (3 stars), the scrambled eggs didn't taste like eggs and the bacon didn't really taste like bacon (3 stars). I really don't expect much, it's 'Airport Breakfast Food'. The 5 star rating is clearly for the service. I will never forget the invaluable experience that I had with Mrs. Kim Lee

The pretzels sticks were way too buttery. A little under cooked. Cilantro was sprinkled on top. Not sure the purpose of that. The beer cheese dip tasted like the nacho cheese you get out of the can. Service was pretty good. Overpriced but that is to be expected in an airport.

Who writes a review of an airport restaurant .... I got a cheeseburger, everything was fresh and good; the lettuce, pickle, onions... a good size beef patty and hot crisp fries. I was actually surprised at the quality. The young woman I asked if I could sit anywhere was eager to show her attitude , but the Bulgarian woman who served me was very pleasant and efficient.

This is for Brooke the bartender. As a fellow bartender she exemplifies all the best qualities. She's personable and brings the mood. You could write a bartending textbook from observing her and when I own my own restaurant I'd love to reach out to her. She is a classic, friendly, therapist-like bartender. She already knows you though, go see her and have a great time before your flight.

This is probably my least favorite place to dine at O'Hare. If you like your wait staff to huddle by their computer. Never come by and ask if you need a drink, then bring you warm beer. Then finally deliver an appetizer at the same time as your main course, this could be your place.

The Layover Scene.... and action! Seeing I had a good amount of time to kill I decided to hit up Goose Island Brewery for some libations and some grub action. I went with the grilled breakfast panini with scrambled eggs, applewood smoked bacon on sourdough, with cheddar cheese holding things in place . I originally was gong to get this with sausage, but my server gave me the heads up that this isn't a fan favorite. I guess Abe Froman isn't the sausage king of Chicago. I do have to admit good call on my server, I saw what the links look like, yea not to appealing. What was even better this came with steak fries. Personally I love steak fries. The sourdough could've been on the grill a little longer, being it was a little on the weak side. The scrambled eggs were ok, but what helped it out was that cheddar cheese. The cheese and that bacon made this work. It was not to thick, not to thin , but just right that made the difference in this breakfast. The selections on tap are minimal if you are looking to partake in a craft. I got lucky and scored with a seasonal craft, but other than that, for the regulars on tap try the Green Line Pale Ale. If you're not into the craft scene they do have a great selection in liqours for you to peruse. It may not be that big but they maintain the space pretty good even if the food is somewhat ok. What makes me give them 3 stars is the crafts , you can vape in here and their servers.

I stopped by here for breakfast before my flight at around 8am. The restaurant was not crowded and there was no wait line. The food and service were both okay, not that bad as I thought when I saw the score. I ordered the hash brown wrap and my friend did the meat lover omelette. It might be a little bit expensive for things like that to be listed as $12.5, but it is at the airport so I guess that's reasonable. Overall if you want to have a quick meal in O'Hare airport, you can try here!

Stopped here several times before flying out on late night Spirit flights. The beer is good, cause Goose Island. I love that I can get a taste of Chicago (home) before heading back to Baltimore. The food we've tried has been average. The hummus plate we were served a few days ago didn't come with pita bread but some plain white loaf... it was odd but carbs are carbs. The waitress that has served us the past few times is not particularly friendly but serves beers fairly quickly. She should try smiling every once in awhile.

Stopped here while traveling and had a burger and fries. Service was quick which is important at the airport and the food was good too.

We stopped at Goose Island Brewpub to get a Chicago Dog and locally brewed beer. The hotdog was good, but they forgot the tomatoes on my hotdog, luckily my boss shared hers with me. The only other negative is that our waitress was overworked and not able to give us proper attention. Overall decent beer and hotdog and I would go back if in the airport again.

Goose Island Pub is not a bad place to grab a quick drink before boarding a flight. As other airport venues, a little overpriced compared drinking at a local pub, but it is inside an airport where you don't have competition and choice. Service wise, it was OK. Sitting right at the bar, the bartender took my order and served my beer. Honker's ale ($9) serves in a Bud's Light Pint glass was a little strange... especially it is a Goose Island Pub having Bud's Light as guest tap?! If you want a good photo, I would suggest ordering the Matilda which is the only draft that serves in a proper glassware. I would definitely stay away from the food unless you ordering something hot. Chicken Salad is served in a takeout container which the bartender took from the To Go area, the only difference maybe you can eat that on a real plate? Just like what I said, stay with drinks at a pub.. you will leave in a happy mood! PS there is no pricing in the menu for all their drinks.....

The food was mediocre, but very overpriced. While it did come out fast, it also somehow came out cold. It took a long time before anyone saw us, after we sat down. Our table was also dirty upon arrival, and we had to request it was wiped down. Would not reccomend.

On our way back to NY after visiting Chicago for the weekend, we stopped here as we waited to be boarded for our flight by Gate B3 in O'Hare Airport. We arrived at about 4:30pm on a Monday and the place was jam packed but luckily we were able to sit at a small cramped bar thing facing the wall. One of the waitress was arguing with the customers and speaking loudly about what happened to a co worker of hers by the bar. All I can say is, RUDE. Thankfully she wasn't our server, someone much more pleasant and friendly was and came over to assist us. I understand this is an airport and all BUT $9 and some change for a Bud Light?!?! Pricey much..but my boyfriend and I ordered one each and decided to split the Classic Burger which was also a bit pricy ($15). Our drinks came out fast and surprisingly our food did too. The burger wasn't anything special but it did the job for a quick meal before boarding the plane back home. All it consisted of was cheese, lettuce, tomato, onions and spicy chipotle sauce and fries. It wasn't bad, cooked as I ordered it so that was the least I could ask for being that it was so crowded in there. There was barely any standing room by the bar to order a drink. If it wasn't that we were looking for a place near by our gate to have a drink and a quick bit to eat, we probably wouldn't have come. Thankfully, we had a great waitress which was very bubbly and made us feel comfortable.

Had the pretzels with beer cheese and mustard. Comes with three pretzel sticks. The winner in this dish was the tasty mustard! Also had a Bloody Mary which could be improved but not too bad.
