How to Spend 24 Lovely Hours in Leesburg, Virginia | Eater DC

"A quaint cafe and Leesburg mainstay that opens bright and early at 7 a.m., this spot draws long lines for small-batch roasted coffee served as espresso, drip, and cold brew. Pair a seasonal latte with its excellent breakfast tacos, then come back later when it flips into a bar with a fabulous happy hour Sunday to Thursday from 2 to 6 p.m." - Lulu Chang

The food was great — everything tasted really good, and the view here is amazing. There’s plenty of parking, which is super convenient. It is a bit on the pricey side, but overall the quality makes up for it. Only downside was the service. The lady at the cashier today wasn’t very friendly, and I felt a bit rushed while ordering. Other than that, everything else was solid.

Loved Goosecup! The vibe is awesome—super cozy yet very modern. The coffee quality was amazing (lots of fun options to try), and the food we ordered was really good too. The maple cardamom latte is a must get. Easily the best coffee spot in Leesburg!

Goosey Cup: Latte Art Masterpieces and Taco Minimalism My inaugural visit to Goosey Cup in Leesburg was a roller coaster of aesthetic highs and culinary plateaus. The cafe itself is a stunner, a modern, beautiful space that screams "I have my life together," staffed by people so friendly they might actually be morning people. Let’s start with the liquid gold: the mocha. It arrived looking like it belonged in a frame, adorned with a foam leaf design so delicate I felt like a vandal taking the first sip. It was as delicious as it was pretty, a true caffeinated work of art. My daughter, a discerning critic of all things pastry, gave the chocolate croissant two enthusiastic thumbs up, mostly because her mouth was full of chocolate and she couldn't speak. Then came the bacon, egg, and cheese tacos. If the mocha was a symphony, the tacos were a kazoo solo. We’re talking basic ingredients introduced to a tortilla with the enthusiasm of a teenager asked to clean their room. No culinary fireworks here, just the edible definition of "it is what it is." And finally, the parking. Finding a spot here is less like "parking" and more like "strategic warfare." Spaces are as rare as a quiet toddler. If you find one, guard it with your life. Verdict: Come for the mocha art and the croissants, stay because you can't get your car out of the parking lot.

We, three adults had breakfast and we were happy! Every item was good and made with care. It was very crowded but not delayed. Parking across street, outside tables were available too.

Google
We stopped in for morning coffee and a breakfast sandwich. This a large space with plenty of seating and nice community tables with folks seated at these tables being respectful of the space they occupied. The cappuccino and latte were fine. The cappuccino had very airy foam, almost as if the milk had been refoamed or foamed with the wand to high in the milk. The breakfast sandwich, a bacon egg and cheese, was quite good with thick crispy bacon. The egg was well cooked and the cheese well melted. Overall a good experience, but the cappuccino was disappointing.

Google
For food and drinks I’d give this place 5 stars. Coffees/teas and home made syrups are amazing. They have the best food I’ve had at a coffee shop in Loudoun county. Good portions, quality tasting ingredients. Now the draw back… seating. I have been there three times now and have consistently struggled to find a place to sit. It’s loud and much of the seating they have are large group tables. It’s a bit better in warmer months when you can sit outside too but even still on the weekends… good luck. I’d recommend picking up your order except finding parking can be tricky. Parking spots near the restaurants are limited to a couple parallel parking spots out front and a handful of pull in spots out back. Most are typically full leaving you to walk a ways from one of the garages.

Stopped by for about 10 minutes. Just a quick look around while passing through, and grabbed a coffee. The café’s one of the best I’ve been to lately. Even though it’s a two-hour drive, I’d definitely come back when I have time. The latte was really good.

Dustin S.

Google
The space feels comfortable in a very natural way. Not flashy, not trying too hard to impress, but clearly maintained with care. The atmosphere stays consistent, and there’s a sense that things are handled smoothly behind the scenes. It’s the kind of place that earns trust by being steady and predictable in a good way.

Yelp
Coming from Seattle, it's so difficult to find good espresso when visiting family near DC. I always get a plain latte without any syrups or additives, and I think that entitles me to judge the coffee quite well and say they have the best espresso I've had in Virginia, and dare I say within an hour of DC! I also got the egg and cheese sandwich which was solid, but the standout was definitely the quality of the espresso!
google avatar

Yelp
Not bad to get a latte. I got the maple cardamom latte and it was just a sweet latte--it was ok. It seems like the food items are more popular, so definitely getting that next time. The workspace itself is very spacious and cute, so it's a good spot to get work done! Staff are nice.

Yelp
Love this coffee place (and cocktail house) in a beautiful airy modern space in Leesburg. Coffee is amazing, food is fresh, imaginative and delicious and the cocktails are outstanding, too. No plugs for laptops and phones, so good turnover of tables. Nice staff, lots of families and children.

Yelp
Such a cute coffee shop in Leesburg. Immediately as I walked in, I was impressed by how beautiful it was inside. We weren't sure what to get so we started with a cocktail and sandwich. Just something light. I liked the cocktail, but my husband said it lacked the yuzu flavor it had listed. Unfortunately the few items I wanted to try were unavailable because they ran out of mushrooms. So we ended up getting a prosciutto and stracciatella cheese sandwich. The bread was a bit too hard to enjoy. I got a lavender matcha which was pretty good but the food left a bit to be desired.

Yelp
My wife and I had breakfast there on 9/7/2025. She had the breakfast tacos. Very tasty. She really liked them. I had two Egg and cheese sandwiches with sausage. I really liked them however the sandwiches were lukewarm. I understand they were busy however food should be served hot not lukewarm. I didn't want to send them back as it took 30 minutes to get our food. I really like this restaurant just a little disappointed with the temperature of my food.

Yelp
Great breakfast at Goosecup this morning! First, the staff was very attentive and the space is really nice. Definitely a cool vibe to it and would be a place I'd frequent regularly if I lived in the area. Started off with a drip coffee which was perfectly brewed and was piping hot. My wife ordered an iced vanilla latte with oat milk and raved about it. Good way to start off! I ordered the egg and cheese sandwich and added bacon and tomato. The sandwich had arugula and was served on a potato bun. Really good breakfast sandwich! Certainly recommend this spot!
google avatar

Yelp
I loved this cafe! It was my first time in the area and I always like to try a new cafe, I love that they operate all day and still have the relaxing vibe of a coffee shop. There is a lot of space for seating indoors and outdoors. I ordered the golden goose latte, it was tasty! The golden syrup in the latte had cinnamon, turmeric, ginger, and coconut milk. I believe some items on their menu changes seasonally as well, more reason to return!
google avatar

Esther A.

Yelp
I'm obsessed with this place ! The hours, the coffee, the vibes. 10/10! Only issue is the parking is the worst around the cafe
google avatar

Genie O.

Yelp
Lovely open space to socialize and work in. Cocktails, wine, beer, food and coffee- all in one! Unsweetened oat milk - yay. Water processed decaf coffee- yay again. Beautiful glass for my flat white- woohoo! Sour espresso drinks for all three of us - no yay. Bready, not crispy or yummy kouign amann- double no yay. Would I come again? Absolutely because there's a lot of promise here and a good staff.

Yelp
Here I am with your yogurt bowl review! TBH -- I like Goosecup. There's not really another nice coffee shop in the area. But their yogurt bowl was ... not good. The yogurt itself -- runny and flavorless. The granola was the cheapest possible granola they could have chosen. I've been to a lot of coffee shops, and usually they have a nice spiced granola with seeds and texture. This one was literally just honey oats that were way too sweet. My advice, Goosecup, please up your yogurt game.

Yelp
Great vanilla latte and chai tea latte. About $6.50 each. The inside is very modern and trendy. Great place to meet up with friends or work/study. Lots of places to sit both inside and outside. The only reason i couldn't give this place a 5 star is the attitude of the staff that work here. They're not attentive or welcoming. I seemed to place an order with a staff member that couldn't even speak to me. Maybe it was an off day, but that would keep me from returning. Accessibility. Ramped entrance on the side. Parking: limited, be careful not to park in the apartment parking.
google avatar

Anthony L.

Yelp
Very cool indoor and outdoor seating. Stopped here to get a coffee and study, and it was a great experience and ambiance inside. If you're not in the mood for coffee, they have beers and wines as well that I cannot wait to try when I go back. A great little shop in downtown Leesburg.

Yelp
A bit of a mixed review. I had this place on my radar to try out for coffee and we happened to be in the area for breakfast. The space is nice, though there could be a better waiting area after having ordered. I went with an iced mocha and the Austin breakfast tacos. The coffee was good. It's mild, light chocolate backend flavor, and unsweetened. The breakfast tacos had a nice flavor/ingredients, though they felt a little skimpy for the price. I gave them a shot knowing the price, $14 for 2 tacos, and though I enjoyed them, they definitely are $7 a piece tacos. My wife had a dirty chai and a breakfast sandwich. Though equally pricey, the sandwich was a bit more substantial. A lovely spot, tasty food and coffee, but it also didn't seem like $50+ for what we ordered was worth it. Of course, that's our personal opinion. I think going in knowing the cost you can make a decision.

Mimi N.

Yelp
They have a nice outdoor area. However, it was very sunny and unfortunately they didn't open the umbrellas... Their setup makes no sense. You order inside at the desk and they give you a number. However, some items (not limited to drinks) are expected to be picked up at the desk, and they don't tell you this when you order... so coffee ended up being cold. Despite all that, the food is good. Avocado toast was great. Very toasty bread. Didn't have coffee but it looks great and everyone enjoyed.

Yelp
The friend I was staying at recommend this spot. Coffee was delicious and well made! Tried both a mocha and a vanilla latte. The food is pricy but delicious. Ingredients are fresh! Service is quick and attentive. The spot is spacious you see people brunching and others working both inside or outside. Love that there are bike racks but that might be a Virginia thing.
google avatar

Yelp
Totally wished I had snapped more pictures but I was late in meeting a friend here so I was rushing and enjoying our convo lol. This place is absolutely a gem offering both great coffee creations, wine and cocktails oh and also mini bites. Grabbing a table either inside or outside is wonderful as both are a vibe and the ambiance truly makes you just get cozy and stay for a while appreciating the company you're with or appreciating people watching if you're alone. Our wine was wonderful and the staff was really friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back earlier in the day for coffee and a pastry!
google avatar

Heidi M.

Yelp
Stylish coffee shop in the heart of Leesburg! Lots of space to sit and do work, although it does get very noisy and crowded both inside and outside. Service was rather quick for coffee; I cannot speak for the food. The coffee itself was decent, although I prefer other spots in Leesburg. It definitely came out looking rushed and straight out of an automatic coffee machine resembling those one would have at home. Overall, a nice place to stop by and hang out.
google avatar

Gabby K.

Yelp
This place is a must visit if in the Leesburg area! Every time i'm in town I make sure to visit. The interior is well decorated and the staff is very nice with recommendations. They have a great selection of pastries as well. At night they transform to a cocktail lounge, which is so cool! Definitely stop by for some delicious coffee.
google avatar

Yelp
My friend and I started our visit to the Leesburg/Purcellville area a week or so ago with a coffee and pastry at Goosecup. What a popular, hipster, cool place. Those high ceilings. That modern letter board menu. That menu. I had a cappuccino, while my friend had a matcha latte. We shared a kouign-amann, which was delicious, too. It's a really popular spot, so you might wait a few minutes to order or work to find a free table if you show up at busy hours, but it's a great place for coffee, breakfast, lunch, or drinks! A cool spot for sure.
google avatar

Peter K.

Yelp
This is a great coffee spot in downtown Leesburg. It's basically right off the W&OD trail making it convenient for bike riders. The staff is very friendly. The menu is pretty consistent but at times has new additions. Everything is really tasty. They have a large open interior seating area with a similar sized patio. They usually sell local flowers on the outdoor patio. If feeling up to it, you could grab the food/coffee to go and sit in the park along the W&OD trail. Note: Parking spaces are limited behind the building.

Sabriya T.

Yelp
Finally got a chance to try this place and it did not disappoint! We came in the evening and it was a quiet night. Just a few people and it was nice & quiet. We tried the cafe miel and the pimento (spicy) with baguette and both were delicious! Can't wait to go back!
google avatar

Cynthia C.

Yelp
I love Scandinavian style cafés and this one didn't disappoint! The tall ceilings, large windows, and light color scheme make it feel bright and spacious despite the constant crowd of people flowing in and out. It's a bit noisy but I think it's still a nice study spot (mostly for lighter studying/busy work but the wifi is very reliable). I tried a dirty chai and a sip of their matcha latte. The chai was deliciously spiced and rich, whilst the matcha latte was a bit watered down. The egg and cheese breakfast sandwiches are fluffy and light which I really enjoyed. The chocolate croissant is everything you'd expect from a nice quality croissant. I preferred the apple danish more, but I do wish there was more apple filling. I liked both pastries, but I'd be more interested in trying their other pastries at my next visit!
google avatar

Frances S.

Yelp
Exceptionally kid friendly and perfect for the summer to autumn shoulder season. Excellent latte. I'd say it's not a "cozy cafe" like the chateau or the bakery museum, but it's a great study spot with talented baristas.
google avatar

Kat T.

Yelp
Very beautiful spacious cafe, with options for coffee drinks, wine and simple food. The ambiance is very pleasant, cafe interior design is simple and welcoming. Service was efficient and very friendly. The only reason I'm knocking down a star is because of the limited non diary options for drinks - they only have oat milk :-( We very much enjoyed our first experience at this cafe, and would come back again! Parking spaces are limited so can be a bit challenging during the busy times.
google avatar

Courtlynn C.

Yelp
I wish we had a place like this in Los Angeles. I love the big open space, sunlight popping in, and the outdoor & kid dog friendly space with a fire going on. Came here twice during vacation and always a long line. Appreciate the fact that they make their own syrups, the matcha was very tasty. We got the smoked salmon toast along with the breakfast tacos and they were great. LOVE LOVE LOVE
google avatar

Dustin L.

Yelp
Waited 25 minutes to place an order for a coffee. Then another 20 minutes waiting patiently. Had to ask for my coffee order. No "sorry" no "please or thank you" over here.. and the coffee was mediocre at best.. Sorry..
google avatar

Casey Lyn B.

Yelp
Finally! This place has been on my list for thee longest time! It's just super far! I just love the setting of this cafe! Feels very homey and it is very spacious for you to work, hangout, etc. I ordered the Lavender Latte and man.. just hit the spot. Idk what makes a good latte, but it hit the spot on a hot day. I would definitely recommend this spot to work, drink good coffee, and have good company.
google avatar

Victoria R.

Yelp
Goosecup is a nice and modern coffee joint, with plenty of seating and outdoor space. Every item I've tried coffee wise, has been delicious. Delicately sweetened, which is refreshing. My largest complaint, hence the removal of a star, is the staff. When you walk up to the counter to order (this is several occasions) there are no greetings, no "just be a minute," they'll let you just hang there. Totally on board with having a bad day, just say - one sec please! It goes a long way to feeling welcomed in the establishment.
google avatar

Holly P.

Yelp
I'm not a big matcha fan, but tried my daughter's. It was the best I've had in the West. My Latte was also outstanding. I was shocked it was the price equivalent of Starbucks, considering the quality... And details. Great coffee and tea, served properly. Our real takeaway, though was the avocado toast. It's the type of thing you dream about.. the flavor, egg perfectly cooked, perfectly ripe avocado... the bread... I didn't know this was even possible.. to get it all 100%. It's been 4 days since we went, and I've thought about it every day since . The customer service was also great.
google avatar

Chel M.

Yelp
The atmosphere is great for a coffee and chat with a friend spot. They have indoor and outdoor seating and quick service. We got one iced Turkish delight latte and one latte with floral pistachio syrup. The pistachio flavor was not very noticeable but overall an enjoyable latte and almond croissant.
google avatar

Rick S.

Yelp
Good food and coffee. Probably one of the nicest coffee shops in the area. Breakfast sandwich was great. Service is relatively quick and they have decent seating. Just know it will be more expensive than others but certainly a step above other area coffee shops.
google avatar

Carly G.

Yelp
Came here because it was reading number 1 on yelp, and to be frank, they did not disappoint. I only wanted a coffee, but didn't realize they had a really yummy and interesting food menu as well. They had some typical breakfast options and also some healthy lunch options. I wish I was more hungry to try one of the sandwiches or salads. The latte was super yummy and I don't think you could go wrong with any of their homemade syrups. Very very cool outdoor patio with lots of seats. Definitely a must see!
google avatar

Mackenzie C.

Yelp
Goosecup is a bustling cafe with a wide variety of foods, coffees and teas, as well as some wine too! Staff is super friendly and work quickly to get orders out. I got an iced coffee and sandwich both which were delicious. It was pricey, over $20 for a cafe meal so just be prepared for that! There is lots of seating throughout the shop but it was very crowded when I went so there was no seating available. I would come back and maybe try a cheaper menu item and hopefully be able to snag a seat next time!
google avatar

Kinnary S.

Yelp
My best friend and I's go-to coffee shop in Leesburg!! Such a cutie spot. Only downside is not enough parking. Breakfast tacos 5/5 incredible green and red sauces, tender steak, and generous portions of avocado make these to die for. Iced chai 5/5 Iced matcha 5/5 Seasonal drinks usually 5/5

Yelp
I've had this place on my list for quite some time now. Today, I finally had the opportunity to stop by. First off, I was unable to go inside due to bringing our pup along. However, I have seen pictures and it looks beautiful! I loved that they were selling flowers/bouquets on the patio. Such a cute idea! It was father's day and the place was SLAMMED. My sister was inside placing an order for over 20 minutes. We both agreed that the pastries were not overly impressive. My iced brown sugar shaken espresso was just ok as-well. While there was a large group drawn to this cafe, we did not have trouble finding parking!
google avatar

Mary C.

Yelp
3 stars for the whole experience. 5 stars for the Vanilla Cappuccino. This is a popular place for the younger crowd. My issues are a lack of options for a coffee bar, due to beer and wine, which takes up 2/3s of the drink menu. Not everyone can have sugar, and their lack of sugar-free options has me not returning to this place. When you request a tip at the register at payment time and you provide no service, I find it offensive. Barrister just slides you drinks and yells you name and doesn't acknowledge even a Thank you. And lastly, no cash for payment policy, you have lost me. Your coffee alone is not enough for a repeat customer. Too many better options...
google avatar

Olivia S.

Yelp
Goosecup is a treat. Excellent variety of drinks and breakfast/lunch/dinner options. Right off the W&OD and in the town of Leesburg - makes it a solid destination to end a run or ride at. Fresh modern interior that makes for a warm fun cozy ambiance. There are tables, counters, and communal tables so always a seat somewhere. Service is quick and super friendly!
google avatar

Yelp
I've had Goosecup on my list to check out for almost a year and I'm glad I was able to stop by twice this past weekend since I was in town for a wedding. Both experiences were pleasant and the baristas are pretty helpful with giving suggestions. There's a lot of open space here, whether that is catching up over food/coffee or getting work done. They also offer a variety of alcohol and drinks here if that's your thing. There's also a nice outdoor patio that's ideal during breezy summer days. I also like that they don't close early here! BROWN SUGAR SHAKEN ESPRESSO - 5.50 +0.50 for oat milk. The barista on Friday recommended this drink when I asked her the drink that's most unique to Goosecup. If you're enjoying it at the shop, the drink comes in an old-fashioned glass. I enjoyed the drink a lot since I could taste the espresso well and it went well with the brown sugar syrup. The drink is not too sweet, which is what I prefer and I'm glad to see all of it blend well together in a simple, yet delicious drink. ESPRESSO TONIC - 5.50 If you ask for less ice, they give you only like 60% of the drink. I wonder how much of the drink I'd get if I asked for no ice, yikes. Anyway, it was a refreshing choice for the 90F weather this past weekend. It's one of the better espresso tonics I've had. If I'm ever back in Leesburg, I'd wanna try some of their brunch options here!
google avatar

Neal E.

Yelp
I've driven by Goosecup many times without noticing it - until today. So I stopped in to check it out. Parking is difficult here - a very small number of spaces are available in the parking lot for Goosecup (parking spaces are marked by business or residential). After looking over the menu - at the time I visited - cold brews are not listed. So I asked. And they have cold brews. The bearded dude behind the counter explained how some of the menus were missing the cold brew. So I ordered the cold brew - with a splash of half n' half - and a blueberry muffin warmed up. Paid with Apple Pay. Cold brew was good and strong. The blueberry muffin was rather ordinary. Lots of seating inside and outside. Service was good!

Yelp
Amazing coffee shop, beautiful lattes and AMAZING Pumpkin Croissant!!! Look no further when in the Dulles area!
google avatar

Chi L.

Yelp
I can appreciate this spot for the concept, spot to hang out--for the coffee, wine, beer, cocktail lovers...they have something for everyone that you're catching up with. The ambiance is very nice in downtown Leesburg, right off the W&OD Trail. Plenty of seatings inside and outside patio. My boyfriend ordered a mocha--aesthetically beautifully made by the barista on the presentation. I ordered the iced latte with vanilla--it was bland and can barely taste the coffee. Our verdict came out to, the coffee just personally not for us, not a spot we would come back to.
google avatar

James K.

Yelp
The coffee here is great, the vibe of the spot even better, and the service all make the bit pricey coffee worth it if you're looking for a cute place in Leesburg to work in, sit down at, or grab a cup to go. I'm very interested to come back during the afternoon when it transforms
google avatar

David M.

Yelp
Goose Cup had a great vibe with friendly and talented baristas, in addition to delicious food options. Dog friendly patio area was a bonus.
google avatar

Hannah H.

Yelp
I really enjoyed my visit at Goosecup! The name itself is super cute, and the place itself has bright cheery vibes, where it's airy, has communal tables, and plenty of seating both in and outside on their raised patio. Their menu is quite extensive, offering HH specials, cocktails, a day menu, and pastries, to coffee/espresso/teas to merch you can purchase. I had the Orange Sunshine, which was prepared with an orange-infused demerara syrup, cinnamon, and steamed milk of choice (I went for whole milk) - this was strong, creamy, and had a nice hint of the citrus and cinnamon flavor. Staff were super friendly and welcoming, and this place was totally hopping on the weekend. I'd love to return and try the rest of their coffee/espresso menu and their menu items (avocado toast, sandwiches, tacos, etc.). Plenty of street parking available as well as a small lot in the back. +Orange Sunshine +friendly and welcoming staff +street parking and small lot in the rear available

Yelp
Best coffee in town, I watched the barista's work for more than 10 minutes and they know what they're doing. An amazing full-flavored coffee was made with precise actions and spotless technique. I highly recommend this coffee shop for tasting. They also serve wine and beer. Two thumbs up
google avatar

Richard D.

Yelp
Nice, clean, coffee shop, spacious and busy. Which is always a good sign. Had the maple cardamom latte, which was really good. The plain croissant on the other hand was very basic and nothing to share with it French person. But not bad. If you're looking for a coffee shop to sit and relax and maybe read, this may not be the place. However, is a great place for conversation. It was busy when I went, so it was pretty loud inside, especially with the high ceilings. Overall, very nice and I would recommend if you were meeting up with somebody because there's a lot of seating inside and out.
google avatar

Katherine S.

Yelp
Really cute café with lots of options for coffee, cocktails, and beer! The windows allow tons of natural light to come in and just sets a good vibe for your stay. Tons of seating inside and out. Large tables, small tables, bar seating, patio seating! FOOD & DRINK: ~Cold Brew (5/5) ~Chocolate Chip Cookie (4/5): They can warm it up for you!
google avatar

Eastie T.

Yelp
The coffee tastes great and the place has a great vibe. The good part is they have been consistent over time, good service too. Haven't tried the co-working place upstairs yet, will have to get back for it. Nice location with many bikers coming by from W&OD!
