It’s definitely on the pricier side, but the quality and experience make it worth it. If you’re a fan of Korean BBQ or gopchang specifically, this place is a must-try in Dallas.

I really liked this place. The guy in the hat who served us today was very nice and cheerful. I was just a little sad that when we ordered the offal, beef, and cold noodles, we still felt hungry and wanted to order another portion of BBQ, but we couldn't because they required a minimum order of two bbq dishes. However, the overall experience here was really good, the food was delicious, the music was great, and they were attentive to their customers.

Everything was so tasty. Staff were kind and helpful. Music was spot on. Drinks were cold. Our gui was masterfully cooked on our table by a very kind and patient waitstaff. Can't recommend this place enough. My husband and I had a great time and we will surely return 🩷🩷🩷

Delicious food and a great atmosphere! My friend and I had an amazing time—relaxing, talking, and enjoying every meal. Everything we ordered was fabulous, and the experience made for a perfect evening together.

I visited after work with my co-workers. The server was funny and the owner was excellent service. Every time I visit here, the food is always fresh and the portion size is reasonable! I ordered seafood pancake for the first time and it was really delicious.I highly recommend the seafood pancake. I will come again next time.

This is my second time here and It changed my mind. The first time I was here, the intestines were overcooked that they burned and got bitter but this time I told them so they carefully made it and even let us try a sample before bringing it to the table!!! Customer service was top notch and absolutely coming back!!!

If you love grilled intestines (and I do!), then you will like Gopchang Story. First of all, their normal beef & pork bbq is pretty good. Don't let the fact that the restaurant specializes in intestines means their "regular" bbq is bad, it's not. I would say the quality is better than a lot of the kbbq restaurants around town. Onto their specialty, intestines, it's soooo good! My favorite are the large intestines. Grilled large intestines and a bowl of rice? The small intestines are good too but I prefer the large because it has more flavor (fat) Both the regular and marinated intestines are good.

One of the best places in DFW for Korean style grilled beef intestines. The intestines here are not gamey and crisp up really well. There are servers to help you cook if you don't know how and are super friendly. We opted for the double portion of the large beef intestines and it fed 3 people. We also ordered the fried rice at the end with egg and cheese. Amazing combination 10/10z I would also order the corn cheese for the full experience. The restaurant is very clean and has great vibes for a group of friends.

We came here on a whim after wanting something new to celebrate our 6 year anniversary and Gopchang Story was the BEST PLACE ever! It was meant to be. The quality of meat was so good- much better than AYCE KBBQs where the meat is slathered in seasonings and sauce. The quality of meat speaks for itself. The atmosphere is awesome as well. But the BEST PART was our amazing server AMY! She was super sweet and attentive and helped us cook our meat to perfection. She's been working here for two years now- and she is just superb! Can't wait to come back and tell all our friends!

Firstly, I'd heard great things about this place. Luckily we got to try this place before I fly back home! Secondly, I've been to two other gopchang restaurants in my life, and this one was the best. The flavor for the intestines was phenomenal. The banchan is unique from what I've normally seen, but I think that's a good thing! And we got seconds for each because they were so good! I like that there's not too much variety as they all complimented the gopchang well. Thirdly, the service was very quick and efficient. They seated us promptly, and all of our food always came out in under 10 minutes. They did a great job. The vibe of the restaurant seems intimate for dates, but it's also great for group settings (great for a chill dinner with friends). HOWEVER, The only reason I did not give this place 5 stars is because I found TWO pebbles in a piece of small intestine I was chewing. At first I thought it was bones, but bones shouldn't be in intestines. Plus, the crunch hurt! It's not easy cleaning out intestines when prepping them, so I understand! This is a health hazard though, and I could've chipped my tooth. I will still come back to this place because this place was still very good! If anything at all, I will just be careful next time. I'll see y'all next time. Thank you for having us for dinner!

Parking: Easy, open, free. This was my first time trying Korean cuisine, and it was unexpectedly amazing! I ordered both the small and large intestines. If you like tripa tacos, you're going to love this place. I honestly didn't think I'd enjoy this as much as I did. You'll get past the idea of eating intestines as soon as you smell it -- it smells like your typical KBBQ. The servers place the intestines on the stove and sprinkle seasoning over them. The small intestines were crispy with a slight chew. I thought they'd be my favorite, but the large intestines were perfect -- crispy and full of flavor. Really, you're eating fat, but wow, it was delicious. I highly recommend this for anyone looking for a new experience or anyone who enjoys Korean food. I'll definitely come back and order the large intestines next time.

Wife and I come here every Valentine's Day. Sometimes we also find ourselves randomly coming to this place. I had Gopchang Story in Flushing NY, so I was so happy when they opened here. We don't do BBQ, so we're always seated quickly. The services have always been really good. Ambiance is nice, the restaurant isn't too big, just right amount of seating. It does give me a Korea vibe. We always order the intestines (variety - plain). Everything is always so good.

Came for the first time yesterday for an early dinner. Seating was prompt since the dinner rush hadn't started yet. There are booths with grill tables along the walls and tables in the center for those who aren't choosing to grill. We ordered the assorted gui platter, the beef tartare, and the beef and large intestine stew. All the food was delicious and plentiful. It was just my friend and I so we definitely ordered too much food and had a lot to take home but I'm not complaining lol. The meats were cooked well, the flavor of the sauce for the assorted gui was spicy and saucy and delicious. It came with some grilled rice cakes and sprinkled with the tastiest cheese powder. The beef tartare was so good and came with a pretty good portion. I loved the sliced pears and green onions to go along with it. The spicy stew was good as well. The soup was a soybean based one and it came with clear noodles, beef, large intestine, and veggies. We enjoyed everything we ate and took the rest home! Definitely recommend eating here if you enjoy eating gopchang

Came right when they opened on a Saturday morning. It wasn't busy at all so kind of quiet. We did a variety and we concluded we like the un marinated and intestines only. Because it's more crispy. Didn't really care for the other parts. Fried rice is a must. Steamed Egg is super fluffy. Added the fish egg and cheese. So good.

I tried Gopchang Story for the first time in New York and it was amazing, and this location is just as good. Gopchang Story specializes in serving different parts of innards of cow such as intestine (small and big), heart, tripe, etc. It is grilled at the table and the staff will help you with grilling. It's definitely not for everyone, but for those of you who already like cow innards or are adventurous, this is a must place to try them. My recommendation is to order their assorted menu that comes with combination of different parts of innards. Gopchang (small intestine) has good chew and a lot of flavor. Makchang (large intestine) melts in your mouth and is so good. Beef heart is beefy and slightly chewy. Beef heart is a great way to ease in to eating innards as it tastes the most "normal" per say. Innards can be stinky if the restaurant does not clean them well, but Gopchang Story's always taste good and fresh with no stink at all. Other fun thing to try there is Korean beef tartar. It comes with sliced pears, green onions, egg yolk, and garlicky beef tartare that all mix well for an interesting flavor. It's perfect to pair with soju. After eating your gopchang, make sure to order fried rice to top off your meal. They will fry the rice in front of you with leftover grease from the pan that you grilled your gopchang on, and it is so unhealthy yet too tasty. It makes for a guilty pleasure that is worth it 100 percent. If you want to make it more "dirty", you can add cheese or roe to the fried rice which I highly recommend. Especially the roe, as it adds an extra texture. If you are not very adventurous, they serve plenty of other regular meat to meet everyone's palate, and their normal cuts of meat are very fresh as well. Gopchang Story often has promotions they advertise on social media so keep a look out for a deal! All in all, I have eaten at all places in DFW area that serve gopchang such Dalgopchang and Ari, and none of them top Gongchang Story and I think it will stay that way for a while.

This is a restaurant I will visit everytime I come back to Carrolton for some kbbq. We came on a Friday night and it gets packed so I highly recommend getting a reservation, especially if you have a large group. We started off with the beef tartare sushi and it was absolutely delicious. This is a must get when you come here! As for the banchan, everything tasted amazing and fresh! Their classic cuts of meat for kbbq was great and I thought it was super cool how this place serves intestines! I've never tried large intestines at a kbbq spot before but it tasted like pork belly x2. It's very fatty but paired well with rice and kimchi. The star of the show is their fried rice at the end. It soaks up all the flavor from the meat cooked prior and I highkey think back to how good this was from time to time lol. Overall, the food was outstanding, service was fast and friendly, and our experience here was amazing. I cannot wait to come back again!

Large Intestines, Fried Rice This is 1000% worth it for the experience, but man it is such a heavy meal!!! I've never had intestines cooked and fried this way, and they are so ridiculously decadent and very oily and heavy. The fried rice was phenomenal to end the meal--they add bright sour elements like kimchi that really helped me not feel as over stuffed at the end. Servers are great--they cook this entire thing in front of you and turn each piece for you, and they make the fried rice tableside, which is super cool!

Beware of rocks in the small intestines!! We ordered the large and small intestines, the steamed egg and fried rice. Everything was going well. The servers cooked the intestines just how we like them, crispy. We were diving into the food and about the 7th piece, I bit into something that was hard. Then I kept chewing and it was still crunchy, then I started to pull out pieces of rocks from my mouth. From then I lost my appetite. We informed the server who said he would inform the boss. We no longer were hungry and asked them to remove the fried rice and asked for the check. The servers were not apologetic but made us feel like we were trying to scam them. I understand that intestines are hard to clean but it's the job of the restaurant to ensure that they do so. We paid the bill in full and ran out of there. So if you're ordering intestines, beware. Will not be returning.

Absolute worst service. Walked in, waited 10 mins, no one said hello, or acknowledged that I was there. When I asked the front host what I was supposed to do he looked confused and irritated. He then sat out party. We waited again with no acknowledgement from staff. Utterly confused we left, and will not return. If you are looking for good service skip this place.

food is delicious! ordered large intestine stew and shared with my friend. surprisingly, plenty of intestine for the two of us and had some leftovers. service was great! was well attended to or rang the button on the table when needed. friendly servers, handling lots of people all the time. went on a saturday night around 7:30pm and waited 30 minutes for a table. crowded/packed but everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves which is good! restaurant is located in a plaza with other restaurants. parking is available in the lot but can get full. still not a big issue and space is around / within walking distance.

Everything was way above our expectations! We went for lunch and ordered yookhwae bimbimbap, the portion size was HUGE and they give you a lot of yookhwae. The sauce for it was delish and made all the flavors come together really well. The gopchang combo double was great with all the variety! I can tell the intestines are fresh and cleaned really well, they didn't have any 'offal' smell at all and the dipping sauce went well with the intestines. They help to finish cooking at your table and it's a typical kbbq vibe inside. Definitely recommend, 10/10!

First time trying this place & will definitely come back and try other dishes. The ambiance was adequate & the menu was unique compared to other k BBQ places. It had a wide variety to pick from. We ordered the assorted Gopchang gui, seafood pancake, & tteokbokki and was so full we had enough leftovers. The seafood pancake was good but I prefer mine slightly crispier. The Tteokokki had the perfect amount of spice but it was lacking something crispy. Usually they are paired with something fried. They were quick with service & recommended these dishes.

Good ambiance. Excellent table side Service. High quality meat. Good variety. Open till very late.... Highly recommended!

LOVE LOVE LOVED the intestines here! We came here on a weekday night, and it was BUSY! Thankfully we were able to get a table quickly. Even though they were packed, noise level was good. Multiple people kept checking on us as well, so great service! They have monthly specials on their menu items, and so we got discounted assorted gopchang gui & kbbq set! Banchan was alright, but I liked that it was sides you don't usually get in most kbbq places. The kbbq wasn't that worth to us and was lower quality/unbalanced flavor than what we see in other places for that price range. Nonetheless, the gopchang was SO TASTY! As I write this, I'm craving it! I can't wait to be back and just munch on their gopchang gui!

What a hidden gem. No seriously I've driven past it a bunch of times and didn't even see it lol. Came highly recommended by our good friends and I see why. First of all, despite the name of the restaurant (which led me to believe without looking at the menu and pictures) might imply that it's just a Gopchang (aka endtrails / intestine) restaurant. Boy was I wrong. Check out the beautiful meat they have in their BBQ menu! If you don't want to leave smelling like bbq, they have regular tables as well. Make sure you decide before going in, it'll make your life easier when you walk in. Our waiter was super chill and very professional - he cooked it all and served it to us right off the grill. I couldn't say no to KBBQ but wanted to try the gopchang (which is served on a skillet, not off the grill) so we ordered the best of both world. For their BBQ they have a 2 meat order minimum - we opted for the Oodae galbi (amazing cut with a big bone btw) and our usual go to beef tongue. We also got the single order of the small intestines (gopchang) and tried the beef sushi! Oodae galbi - cooked to a perfect medium rare - had a wonderful ribeye steak-like texture. Served with some salt and ssamjang on the side. Beef tongue - everything you'd expect from the tongue of a cow gaminess doesn't bother me but I didn't really taste it. Perhaps they marinated it somewhat. Always one of my favorite go tos for KBBQ. Gopchang / small intestines - sorry I didn't get it in the photos - if you've read this far you probably have at least some idea what it is. It's an internal organ and if it isn't cleaned properly it can totally ruin your experience. I can tell you for a fact that this place does an excellent job with preparation. It was cooked to our liking - you can request for it to be crispy! The waiter did an excellent job with it right at our table. They also put their house magic seasoning on it and it was so delicious with a bowl of rice. Beef Sushi - I'm not going to lie, I was a little intimidated. I've only had straight up raw beef one other time at another Korean restaurant and it was not great. However, I decided to give it a try and am glad I did. Be warned, the portion is huge - about 2 sushi rolls worth. For those that aren't so sure about this - this is how I would best describe it: It has the texture of chopped tuna sushi, but with the taste of bulgogi sauce marinated meat topped with some green onions. Once I got past the psychological part of it, it was heaven in my mouth. The 2 bbq meats, beef sushi and single order of gopchang was right at our upper limit for 2 of us. Barely finished. Portions are fair for the quality and price. 5 stars for quality of food and service!

The service was phenomenal. It's not a typical all-you-can-eat Korean BBQ joint where you cook your own meat. Our server and other servers were always there cooking our meats to perfection. That requires lots of time and attention and we really appreciated it. I wouldn't get the combos again because I only liked one item per combo so it wasn't worth the price (and it surely was expensive). The Wagyu beef was really good along with all the sides. Rice was expensive at $2.50 per bowl. They are known for their intestines so I have been wanting to go back to try them since the table next to us said they were amazing.

Finger meat 5/5 Great, not over cooked. Pork belly 2/5 Hard and dry ... very little fat in this, their mistake is probably grilling the big pieces first then cut them up and grilled them so they lost all the fat by the time we eat them. Honestly not recommended Double assorted large , small, entrails , tripe and heart 3/5 - double portion, mind you. They only had 4 small slices of heart for 3 of us. Heart isn't even expensive, why stingy with this I dunno. Good thing is the intestines and tripe didn't smell. They cleaned them well. Service wasn't great. We had to ask for kimchi at a full service Korean restaurant! I never had to ask for kimchi before at full service Korean restaurant. she went like, "oh you want kimchi?" After cooking, the servers never came back and checked on us if we want extra water or extra banchan.

Loved the ambience, service, and most of the food. It was amazing to visit a new place in Dallas that does Korean bbq that has intestine! The service was really amazing and loved that they had different combos you could try. We had the double size combo, some drinks, and desserts. They were all pretty darn good! I would highly recommend the double size combo to start and the fried rice. The manager(?) suggested their desserts, which sounded a bit odd, but they were both AMAZING. One was a tomato yuzu dessert and the other was a goat/cream cheese dessert and they were both so good! If you like innards then you MUST try this place. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! If I had to name one downside it would be that the gopchang was a little too chewy and made my jaw hurt. Maybe it was just this day, though. I'm definitely gonna be back here VERY soon!!!

My friends and I came to Gopchang story to celebrate a graduation. We arrived around 5 pm and was seated right away. The restaurant was packed already with many large groups. They also have private rooms that you can reserve. Known for their famous Assorted Gui, we ordered 2 portions (the minimum is 2). ASSORTED GUI comes with Grilled Beef small, large, entrails intestine, heart, tripe. Also ordered were an egg fried rice, beef tartare sushi and short rib soup. There was plenty of food for 4 of us. The side dishes were great too! While the grilled intestines were good, the highlight got to be the beef tartare sushi!!! So soft and melts in your mouth. The soup is quite big too with noodles inside. The fried rice is pretty flavorful and not too crunchy. Overall, it was a great experience and I'd come back

This place is a vibe! If you're craving Korean BBQ along with a variety of other Koreans dishes, this is the place for you! Our party of 4 mainly wanted to try the dish they are most known for which was the large and small intestines. While the small intestines has a better crunch imo there is a slight bitter/gamey after taste. If you love fatty flavors & texture then the large intestines is the way to go - it's like eating chucks of very fatty bacon. We also ordered the beef & pork kbbq combo, beef stew, dumplings, and cold noodles. All the dishes and banchan were overall very solid! Our server was super friendly, cooked everything for us and taught us how to eat the intestines properly. I would definitely come back here again and if you are an adventurous eater I'd recommend giving the intestines a try!

This restaurant solidifies the theory that Asian restaurants with 3 stars Yelp rating are actually legit. As recommended by a Korean friend who lives here, I was so excited to try Gopchang story and was not disappointed. First of all, the intestines are definitely the main dish here. Obviously they have other menu items but you gotta try the intestines. I have had intestines in LA Ktown and this place is better for sure! The texture of the intestines was perfect. They were juicy, soft and crispy when barbecued on the grill. The sushi tartare stole the show for me though. They were unlike anything I had before. Even when it's raw beef, it's actually really easy to enjoy. I highly recommend you order this dish. You will be hooked for sure! Overall, I think this place is amazing! I only visited Dallas for the weekend but I want to come back to eat at this restaurant again. The service, the price, the quality are all 10/10 for me.

I personally love gopchang and my experiences here have been great. I see a lot of reviews that are either hit or miss, but for me, it's a hit. I definitely think that the ny location food is slightly better but the service in Carrollton is better. They attended to us pretty often and well. I usually get the assorted gui with extra rice cakes and extra yam powder. The rice cakes are so so good. I see some people complain that it is too "cold" when it is served but honestly you can just put it back on the gui. I wish that the Carrollton location had the naengmyeon like the ny location bc it's amazing. Overall it's a 4/5 for me.

The meat were good quality. I like how they cook the meat for you. The portions were pretty good. The service was ok. Despite ringing the bell, I feel like sometimes we were forgotten. We had to track a random staff to get our check. The ambiance was nice. You just need to be very careful with the floor as it gets greasy and slippery. Overall, I will recommend this place.

It's hard to give places like this a review because there's not a lot of gopchang restaurants in Dallas. Don't expect to get big size intestines. Once its cooked they all shrivel up. Actually.. Don't expect anything coming here. Keep the expectations low and you'll have a good dinner. Service was great. You don't assigned one waiter. Whoever is available, they will come when you ring the table bell. There's a lot of seating inside. They have semi-private rooms towards the back which is nice. Price is of course pretty over priced. If you haven't tried korean intestine bbq I recommend you come once but again... don't come with ANY expectations :)

this place is more like a 3.75 out of 5 stars. Been eyeing this place for quite some time. I arrived around 7pm, and had to wait around 30 mins to get seated. When you first put your name down, the hostess will ask whether you want korean bbq or Gopchang. I don't think you're allowed to select both. The bbq section will come with grills and air vents, whereas the gopchang will be in the middle section of the restaurant and only serve intestines. They have a hot plate where the food will be cooked. We opted for the Gopchang, which is korean for intestines and i'm glad we came during summer as they were running a special. They had a special on the double order of assorted gui. instead of ~60 bucks or so, it was only 40 bucks. Something to keep in mind, you can not only order 1 single order. you need to order a minimum of two. either 2 singles or 1 double. We also ordered beer and an side order of corn cheese. the assorted gui came with tripe, heart, and intestines. It also came with unique banchan. We definitely got full off 1 order of the double and corn cheese. Its a lot of meat, and i think you get your money's worth. The gopchang was a bit greasy though. Service is prompt, and they will cook for you. I also saw separated rooms in the back.

Another restaurant opens in the Fresk K plaza! This place has impressed me multiple times and I am adding it to my top list of KBBQ spots. I am a very big connoisseur of intestines, I try it in every restaurant whenever I can. This place definitely does a good job on kbbq style intestines. They are prepped well and cooked well. Of course, not everyone likes intestines, so we tried their regular KBBQ set and I was pleasantly surprised that their regular meats are also very good! This place easily competes with the best and I would recommend coming here even if you don't like intestines, because their entire menu is great! Can't forget the service, they cook for you at the table which is a great luxury as well.

This has got to be one of the best lunch I've ever had at a Korean restaurant. The servers cooked everything to perfection for us and the restaurant was well decorated and clean. I was a bit fearful as this was the first time I'm trying cow intestines, and the assorted gopchang that we ordered has simply blown my mind. The gopchang (small intestine) was extremely flavorful, very enjoyable. The daechange (large intestine) was wonderfully fatty and has a hint of sweetness, it just blows my mind. The makchang (last intestine) has a firmer texture but very tasty. The other beef set that we ordered was awesome too, the briskets are very tasty and the short ribs are super juicy and well marbled. I would recommend anyone who is considering Korean gopchang to give this place a try.

i'm not someone that's crazy for gopchang but i'll eat it That being said, this place was pretty good. I'll admit, the first bite I had here was amazing and then after that, everything just felt kinda greasy. That being said, it's probably just the nature with eating gopchang and not the restaurant itself, so I'd recommend eating with other side dishes and vegetables to lighten the palate. Staff and waiters/waitresses were great.

I had a really good time here! The ambiance is really pretty and the staff is also really friendly too. They cook for you at your table to make sure everything is good and is cooked to your tastes. It was my first time having large intestine and it was good! I wish they cooked some of it a little longer so it got crispy, which was when it tasted the best. The beef tartar was ok, slightly too "frozen" for me but once it thawed out it was much better. The only con is they require either 2 orders of beef bbq, 2 orders of Gopchang, OR 1 order of Gopchang and 2 beef. IMO, the beef set wasn't worth it for the price and quality. It was just ok. However I'd get 2 orders of Gopchang next time!

(This is from a visit on August 20, and as I have already submitted images twice I will not be updating with more images) We usually LOVE gopchang story, because it has had the best gopchang we have had in the US. But this time was NOT it. I'm not sure if it was because of the recent special on assorted gui, or whatnot. But the gopchang was very bitter with that weird chemical/biley taste in the filling that other lesser gopchang places usually have. We were shocked and a bit disappointed. Prices during the special were great and service was solid as usual, but the gopchang taste/freshness was just really bad this time. Hoping they can fix their quality control and make for a more consistent, sweet, pleasant gopchang taste. We truly did wonder whether the special was just clearing stale inventory given the quality. I'd much rather pay the original price for consistent, high quality of Gopchang that we find in Korea. We will probably be back, given the good history we have with this place. Hoping it's better the next time :(..

First time trying gopchang! As an avid samgyeopsal lover, the gopchang large intestines were heavenly. They are basically pork belly on savory steroids. They will be a MUST order from now on. You are able to do both kbbq and gopchang, or you can do it separately. The staff will cook for you, but be warned - if they get busy, it is up to you. We ended up slightly burning our last dishes due to waiting for our server to come back (they never did). But alas, that was not a deal breaker. The portion was HUGE. We ordered the meat set #2 and it is absolutely enough for 4-5 people. We were only a table of 3 and we had to fight to the finish. We also ordered the tartar sushi and it was soooo yummy. Banchan is also high quality and tasty. I'll definitely be going back. The food was just way too good to feel anything but positivity for this place. Definitely worth the price and the time it takes to cook. Delicous!

The Gopchang Story Korean BBQ Carrollton is spacious, well-decorated, and sells a variety of Korean food as well as Korean BBQ. And, above all, the employees are really friendly. The servers in charge of our table were Amy and her husband. They were both from Brazil and were smart and could speak four languages: English, Korean, Portuguese, and Spanish I learned how to say 'thank you' in Portuguese from Amy. It's Obrigado! Everything was good, but a few things that were disappointing were the quality of the meat and the side dishes. What I had here was Beef Tartare (Yukhoe), Beef Brisket, and Prime Boneless Short Rib. The quality of raw beef and Prime Boneless Short Rib was just average quality, and Beef Brisket was too stiff. The cucumber skin was unbelievably thick so when I bit it I felt like chewing the skin of a pumpkin, and the carrots had lost all of their moisture and were white and dry. Also, the kimchi served as a side dish was almost sour. I wanted to try other meats to see the quality, but I couldn't order more because the kitchen was already closed. I hope I can eat better quality food next time I visit.

Great quality option for Korean BBQ. Quality meat, varied menu, nice variety and quality of side dishes, and they use a mesh grill for maximum flavor, which is rare among BBQ restaurants. (And I get why - they're hard to clean!) Nice service and vibe too. Definitely recommend.

I was recommended by my one of my friends to check out this place, and I'm certainly glad that we did. The gopchang selections were on sale, but they tasted amazing. No foul smell of meat/intestines, and the banchan (side dishes) were delicious as well.

Love seeing another gopchang place enter the Dallas market. Got seated right away for an early Friday night dinner. Not too different from what you see from modern Korean restaurants, hip interior with Kpop in the background. If you plan to order the gopchang, the servers there will cook it for you. But be careful, you will be on the oil splash zone through out the meal where it could sting you just like I did. We ordered the assorted gui option that included small and large intestines, heart, and tripe. The side dishes were pretty disappointing, the japchae was severely undercooked and the other veggie side dishes were either too salty or too bland. But thankfully, the meats somewhat saved this meal. The large intestines were the MVPs, it was juicy and fatty. But lacked some good sauce for the meat though, and felt like the portion could have been more for what you pay for.

Great service and an abundance of food Beef bundle and short ribs with a side of kimchi was more than enough for two people more like 3- 4 Cozy intimate space and flavors were great- ask for the spicy sauce you won't regret it

SUMMARY: I am pretty sure this is Dallas' only gopchang only restaurant and I'm glad it's here. I wanted to go to one in LA a few years back, but we didn't manage at the time. Food was of mixed quality, service was above average, and pricing was a bit much for what you get. Plan to return though. BACKGROUND: This plaza near the old Galleria Market (it's now K Market? Used to be Oh! Market...can't remember) on the Lewisville/Carrollton border is now slowly growing into a nice little hub of Korean restaurants. Recently Chivago opened two doors down from Dami (which is a great restaurant) and now Gopchang Story. FOOD: We ordered 3 things. Small intestine for 2, galbi jjim, and gopchang jungohl. Of the 3, the jungohl was the star. The broth was more leaning towards a kimchi chigae style broth, so it was a familiar taste to us. Not the best broth I've had but it was really good on that cold day. My non-Korean friends and wife (HK and Taiwanese) really enjoyed it too. Lots of yang in there :) We ordered gyeranjjim (steamed eggs) for the wifey and that was good for everyone. As for the small intestine, this was semi-disappointing. We were served really cold dduk. I mean it was cold. Waitress could've waited a bit to let it heat up. Everyone started off to a bad start. The small intestines were really good though, and having learned our lesson, we let it crisp up a bit before eating. And best eaten w/ the cabbage and scallions for you newbies. I didn't use the sauces much, but those were semi-sweet and delicious. The biggest disappointment was the most expensive dish (if I recall correctly) and that was the galbi jjim. Literally there was more sauce than meat. I mean it was drowning in it. Though it was cooked to fall-off-the-bone goodness, it was just way too much sauce. PRICE: Not cheap, but what is these days. RETURN VISIT: For the gopchang jungohl, yes. But aside from that, we'll probably try other new restaurants first before returning here.

Kicked off the new year trying something new! I've been eyeing Gopchang Story for a while and finally got the chance to try it out. So if you're new to gopchang, I gotchu. It's located in the Oh K Mart in between Dami and Chivago. There's quite a few small circle tables in the middle where we sat with booths along the side, ideal for about 4 people. There are also semi-private rooms with closing doors toward the back that I think fit about 6. So the menu is pretty self-explanatory. They require you to order two orders of intestine. We wanted to mix it up but it was just two of us and we didn't want to order too much. We went with the assorted set and doubled it. It comes with some sides: fish cake, soybean sprouts, japchae, and buchu-kimchi. Now if you don't want intestine, there are beef and pork options as well as other dishes. They will bring a hot plate with the set of food already laid out and the metal plate on the table is a hot plate. They will put fried rice cake on your plate that is ready to eat since they fried it in the back. A server will grill your food for you so just sit back and enjoy the side dishes. If you have any questions (like we did lol) they will be more than happy to answer. Our server was Korean and didn't speak English but another server explained how it all works for us. Depending on which set you order, the cooking time will vary. The heart cooked first, followed by the entrails and small intestine. The large intestine takes the longest to cook. Then tripe is last since it will stick to the plate. I let the meat sit longer since I like it a bit more charred. It was all delicious but I liked the heart and tripe the best. It can get a bit oily so I recommend dipping in the sauces. There's a spicy sweet one and a kinda shoyu one. Or just go and grab a fruity boba after lol. Highly recommend this place if you're wanting something new from the usual Korean food spots. It was a refreshing experience for me and I will definitely be back to try the beef set! It will be available next week!

Upon entering it's not your typical kbbq joint it's more of the newer more hip decor with kpop playing in the background type of restaurant... Their soft opening started today 11/28/2022 and I saw this on IG so told the wife let's go tonight! Upon entering we saw the owner lady she greeted us with a huge smile and quickly have someone lead us to the table the place is very nicely decored and larger than I expected but not GEN large... They have a lot of staff too and the restaurant was pretty much full with constant turnovers from the time we arrived until finished. We picked the Double portion of Gopchang which comes with small intestines, large intestines, 2 types of intestine entrails and beef heart, also some potatoes, cabbage and of course green onions on top and about 4 pcs of rice cake as well. The combo also comes with a free side of steam egg (see pic) everything was tasty and not overly spiced and they also give you a very tasty garlicky sauce for dipping. Also there are leek and pickled onion and broccoli and mashed potato for sides. FYI Double supposed to feed 3~4 people. We ordered a couple of Terra beers to wash it down if you don't watch Kdrama Terra is basically the "IT" beer now in Korea since many places stop carrying or advertising Hite. The kiddo got a sprite so she could cheer with us over this yummy dinner experience that's so close to us! We're super excited that this place opened near by and pretty sure they're here to stay! As their food and service was really nice on soft opening night! Tip this is served on a plate and not grilled over open net so it's a tiny bit greasey at the end but omg the flavor is so good you don't feel overwhelm with the grease at all. Solid 5 stars for food, taste, portion, service, value! Will definitely return again to try other dishes PS they do have beef and pork bbq as well not just Gopchang (intestines)

Gopchang Story is the newest Korean BBQ joint in Dallas/Carrollton, and I couldn't be happier! As an avid gopchang fan, I knew that I would love this place and Gopchang Story already has a great rep in the NJ/NY area, so I was more excited that they were finally opening one here! This place took a hot minute to open though because they were getting ready for opening for like.... literally a year. They are still in the soft opening stages, but they have all the gopchang items, and if you're not a fan of intestines, you can of course still get your favorite non-exotic KBBQ food items. We visited on a Friday evening and we got there early, but we were pretty much the last party to be sat before a wait began. We ordered the all-inclusive for 2, which comes with gopchang (small intestines), daechang (large intestines), makchang and liver. It was $29.99 per serving, so it wasn't too bad as food prices are hiking. We were served our banchan pretty quickly, and the banchan array comes with seasoned chives, potato salad, pickled onions. It was honestly a pretty weak side dish assortment, but it wasn't too bad. The only dipping sauce we got was their signature sauce. Was kinda disappointed that they didn't have anything else, and they didn't have the soy powder either... which is a MUST with gopchang! We got our food pretty quickly - the grill comes out to you and the meats come out half cooked. The main reason for that is because intestines actually take an INSANELY long time to cook so they probably cook half of it in the kitchen. All of our meat was topped with shredded scallions. The servers pretty much cook/flip your meat for you, but I don't know if it was because they just opened... but I like my intestines crispy and they served it way before it was at that stage. I ended up asking them to higher the heat so we can cook it to a crispy state. The four meats that came out in the combo were all pretty good. It was actually really good, but this was when the lack of side dishes, sauce and the soy powder had a big impact. It was disappointing that you could pretty much only eat it with the chives and the scallions. Nothing else to garnish the intestines. But the meats itself tasted really good - it also comes with potatoes and a few rice cakes as well. We ordered the fried rice at the end, which is $6 per person -- we also added cheese on top. The fried rice that they make for you is really good! But beware - they don't have meat in the fried rice, so make sure to leave a few pieces of meat because they'll chop that up for you and add it to the fried rice. Overall -- it was a good experience. I understand that they're still in the opening phase and they'll make tweaks here and there. I will say - I had extremely high expectations for this place, but maybe because I just had such high expectations, I was let down a little. That doesn't mean at all I won't be back. The lack of an intestine/gopchang presence in DFW is real and I hope this is the beginning of something completely new.

Sooooo good! Service is awesome too! There was a 35 min wait, but we did go on a Saturday night. They are still in the soft opening, so the entire menu wasn't available, was told in January. Excited to come back and try more things on the menu!
