Get away from the terminal crowd. Great service, good food, and exceptional bar service. She stated the margarita was outstanding, and that was before she had another one. Our meal was excellent! I had the Cajun Fish Tacos (there were 2) with the Apple Cider Slaw. Ingredients were fresh and tasty. The Session IPA was refreshing!

Google
So I had a two hour layover and needed to eat dinner. Sure being it was in an airport if it was worth it, but I’m glad I decided to go up that escalator. I was traveling solo so I sat by the window so I can watch to see what goes on in an airport while having a beer. I asked the server if it was better to get the burger or chicken sandwich she recommended the burger and I was impressed for an airport restaurant. I would definitely stop back here and eat. The food was delicious came out quick and of the view is unbelievable to sit and watch what actually happens, doesn’t hurt that they also have drinks.

Google
Atmosphere was decent for an airport, service was definitely slow. Don’t appreciate our 2 entree orders not having the fries for a side due to “we are out because it’s the end of the night so we have you chips, not even offering the opportunity to select another side or a salad” to follow up a grilled chicken sandwich that was under cooked and noticed after consuming half of the sandwich. The manager compt the meal but nothing with match the food poisoning due to under cooked chicken.

Google
Traveling to Philadelphia and had a long layover in Atlanta... saw this restaurant, Gordon Biersch in terminal A, so glad I stopped! Excellent shrimp tacos and sweet tea. I had the best wait staff! Steve was very nice and friendly. I asked for suggestions and he was on point! Excellent food! Excellent service! Highly recommended!

Google
The fish tacos were great. They remade my gf's son's dish because he thought he could handle it spicy, but he overestimated his ability. I don't remember our server's name, but she's from Norfolk and did a great job, very friendly.

Google
Steven took the best care of us for lunch before our flight. My colleague and I needed to stop in for lunch and loved that we got a quiet table away from the big crowds in the airport. Steven was so kind and attentive I highly recommend this place for any meal!

Monique Mc Nillion

Google
I had an issue with them running out of fish for fish tacos, but the manager went ABOVE & BEYOND to accommodate. I was truly thankful. I ended up getting shrimp tacos, which I hadn’t had before as much as I come here & they were EXCELLENT! I appreciate the service. Thank you.

Google
Had some drinks and food here before the flight. Great place to get away from the airport chaos! Drinks were great! Pretzel sliders were amazing! I got a Cesar salad and I loved the portion size! Fries weren’t the best, but the squash mix was really good. Our server was very friendly and attentive!

Yelp
Decent food, good drinks! Ask for Valshea's section every time I come she's friendly with great service! If you order the salmon it does take a little bit longer. Bread pudding sells out fast!

Yelp
Hubby and I were starving in Atlanta with a layover while flying coach coast to coast. We knew we needed more than peanuts and pretzels to nourish our all-day travel, so we stopped in at Gordon Biersch, hoping to find some healthy eats. (Everything downstairs in the terminal looked like fried and more fried.) We scored a seat by the window, ordered 2 iced teas and relaxed and watched the planes come and go. The atmosphere was much more pleasant than the eateries in the terminal downstairs. We ordered the seared ahi to split, and our expectations were not high, being that we weren't particularly close to the ocean. It took longer than you would expect in an airport, but we had a long layover, so it wasn't a problem. When our order arrived, we were given the ahi and greens, rather than the seared ahi. The dish was not as filling to split, since the seared ahi came with rice; however, the ahi we received was very fresh and tasted delicious. Aside from screwing up our order, the server was very nice and kept our teas refilled. We didn't bother telling him we got something other than our order, and we didn't dock his tip, since he was such a nice fellow. Overall, 3 stars and the comment that the ahi was surprisingly fresh for an airport restaurant.

Yelp
We have come here twice to eat while waiting on our flight, and both times have been delightful! We were sat immediately, and our server came right over to us. Drinks are delicious: the spicy margarita is SPI-CY!!! Just the way i like it! My husband got the IPA brewed in house, and he loved it. Today, I got the caesar with shrimp. the shrimp was flavorful and served hot, and the lettuce was fresh. My husband's barbecue sandwich was delicious as well. My only complaints are that the food can sometimes take a little bit of time if it's busy, so plan around your flight, and the menu is pretty pricey. I'll be back!

Yelp
My sister and I had some time to kill before our flight so we grabbed lunch. We got seated right away in which our hostess was also our waitress. It took some time to find a place since we weren't in the mood for breakfast food even though it was 9 am. We were relieved to come across this place. We shared my first Bloody Mary which I found to be oddly savory but also kind of good. Craving something hearty, we also shared an order of their Grilled cheese with spicy tomato soup and an order of Shrimp & grits. The grilled cheese was soft, salty, and well toasted. The spicy soup was okay but perfect for dipping. I was pleasantly surprised by the burst of flavor from the shrimp & grits especially since I've only had the dish a handful of times. Overall, we had a good experience. Our waitress seemed a little stressed and therefore short with us. But after things seemed to roll over, her kind personality quickly showed through. As with most places in the airport, its a casual setting that can be made as long or short as you want. Would come again all-in-all.

Yelp
Cold beer, great views (aircraft on the move), good atmosphere (much better than the greasy fast food downstairs), slow service (make sure you have a long layover), and decent food. My Cajun tacos (talk about culture fusion) were rather tasty and definitely above part for airport food.

Yelp
Run away. Skip it Although we were seated right away, our food took 45 minutes to get there after we chased our waitress down. My french fries were cool. The fish was soggy. The waitress did take it off the fish and chips from the bill, but didn't give us a plate to share my husband's meal Hubbys dish was also cold but not as bad as mine so we shared his. The water taste horrible they need to change the filters PS there's no bathroom upstairs where the restaurant is at so it's a pain.

Yelp
Fish & Chips 3.8/5 overall. Crispness 2/5. Batter 3/5. Fish quality 5/5. Flavor 4/5. Fries 5/5. Size and value 4/5. Fantastic fries, very crispy and excellent texture. Great tartar sauce that is green which was interesting. High quality fish with great flavor, I prefer Panko style breading but for a beer batter style this was done well. Great staff and service as well!

Yelp
2.5 stars... Layover got extended so I had time to sit down, and chose this joint as I'm not usually able to get up there in time! From the moment I sat down the bartenders weee warning me it was taking 30 minutes to get food, so I opted for a salad, and opted for no meat....still took about 25 minutes! I just waited patiently and had a beer... salad was good! Beer was good! Bar staff continued to complain.. Place was dirty and disheveled, likely from the rapid turnover, and away from the bar did not appear to be managed/cleaned well. I learned my lesson! This joint does not make the list.

Yelp
How many ways can a Monday lunch at the Atlanta airport go wrong? This is not a rhetorical question--let me give you the answer: far more than you'd expect. Pair a hostess who low-talks, a waitress who's been at least double-seated, hot (hot!) Guinness, and severely overcooked weinersnitzel and you'll know why this was the worst.
google avatar

Yelp
I jumped in here quickly to try to grab some dinner for the plane ride and while I waited enjoyed a Maerzen. Service was relatively quick. I sat at the bar doing work while I waited. The atmosphere was relaxing and casual. My host was also helpful getting me to my flight on time.

Yelp
Food was great buuut...shady and rude service. Watch out for server Lashawna. Tried the garlic fries, bbq burger, and clam dip (amazing)

Yelp
I have enjoyed meals and HHs at Gordon Biersch locations in years past (here's looking at you, Baltimore!). Our recent experience at Hartsfield-Jackson Airport in Atlanta was so-so at best, however. The simple bar food order reached our table after 30 minutes and several status requests on a not-very-crowded evening. The taste and quality were just meh. Like the food, the drinks were just meh. And, to top it off, the martinis were $22 apiece -- are you kidding me? That said, it was nice to sit upstairs and out of the crush of travelers in the terminal. But I've got to believe that there are much better options at ATL.

Yelp
I had not stopped in to this location for several years & was pleasantly surprised to find a friendly, Attentive & Professional staff waiting for me. I ordered & was poured a Marzen style lager & my food order was taken quickly. The fish n chips we perfectly cooked after my server came to let me know if would take a little longer because the 1st batch didn't have the batter cooked properly. I appreciate her for looking out for the customer. I will be back!

Yelp
They shouldn't seat people without telling them at least a 30 min wait for food. I understand it's lunch, but it's the airport on a Thur and how can you not be staffed. Lots of employees walking around unaffected by multiple tables waiting for drinks, refills, to order, and now we are at 46 mins no food. Caeser add chicken and burger hold the ranch. The wait staff is running around frantically and these other employees aren't doing anything. No eye contact, of course. Update: food arrives with ranch on the burger for our dairy allergy guest. Still no drink (water) refills. 49 mins.

Yelp
Had a small layover in the Atlanta airport and decided I needed to grab some dinner. I wanted to get out of the food court style feeling in terminal a and found Gordon Biersch brewery on the second level. After taking the escalator up, I was greeted by the hostess, who was able to seat me very quickly. It was fairly busy being around 7:30 in the evening and my server was slightly delayed in getting to me. What I do appreciate is when the server did arrive he immediately asked me what time my flight was leaving. I appreciate his attention to knowing how long I had before I needed to be on a flight. Thankfully I had about two hours. I opted for the Don Gordo beer, which is a Mexican lager. perfect for a nightcap but not heavy. I also opted for the shrimp tacos which I found to be very light with great seasoning. Overall, really enjoyed my experience here and will definitely go back if I have a layover in the area.

Yelp
Food was pretty good, huge portion which makes up for the price. The alfredo was cooked perfectly. Soft noodles, just enough sauce, and hot on the way out of the kitchen. The chicken was still juicy and had some char on the outside. Service was a bit slow but it was crowded on a Sunday afternoon.
google avatar

Yelp
I arrived around 9pm on a Thursday evening. It took far too long for me to be greeted at the bar. It was pretty full but there were some seats open. They were all out of both of the Cabernets I tried to order. I also ordered the chicken sandwich. After ordering, I heard a different bartender ask the guy two chairs down from me if he had time to eat because the food would be about 30 minutes. The bartender who took my order didn't ask that but I was lucky I wasn't pressed for time. About 30 minutes later my chicken sandwich came out. It was TINY. I wish I had taken a photo of the bread sandwich that was served to me. The man next to me ended up having to cash out without his food. He said he'd ordered a burger 20 minutes PRIOR to me sitting down. The food and the service here is subpar. I won't be back.
google avatar

Chris S.

Yelp
Overpriced and very lackluster food. Server was fairly quick and pleasant enough so no much wrong there but I paid $30 for a burger and a single Truly. I wouldn't have cared so much if the food was good but it didn't taste much better than fast food. Save your money and just eat at the burger stall that's literally at the entrance of this place
google avatar

Yelp
Unless you have at least 2 hours until boarding, you should skip this place. Took over 1-1/2 hours after seated to get Fish and Chips.

Yelp
Flew in from South Africa this morning from a Hunting trip and have a 4 1/2 hour layover over so decided to have some breakfast and a Cold Beer with my son Austin, We both had the Classic Breakfast and added the Chicken Sausage and the dish was great can't complain, the service was good and the Ambiance was good as well, we may not be back soon but if your in the area and need something to eat and a beer check this place out Until next time thanks for the breakfast & Cold Beer to hold us over until we get home Phoenix Az.

Yelp
There are 2 different spots on Yelp for this place. I left a 5 star on the other space and so will go 5 here. Overall a great experience for us with just the right server/bartender, good food including portions, and a good beer selection. WE had 2.5 hours to kill in an airport and coming up the escalator to this place made you feel a little less like in an airport. Our server was so good when they missed part of our order for garlic fries in getting us an order speedily. The burger and fish and chips both were substantial and good. We never waited and got out of there is just the right amount of time to leisurely get to our net flight. I see the reviews on this place and maybe we were lucky, but glad we were.
google avatar

Steph J.

Yelp
Fish tacos were more like lettuce tacos with fish seasoning hopefully you see what I mean in the pictures. At least drinks were good and Lori at the bar had great service
google avatar

David S.

Yelp
Absolutely the worst. Staff was rude, IF you could get their attention. Sat down for ten minutes at a filthy table and multiple staff just glanced over and then walked away. Tables are jammed in so tight you can barely walk. Asked one server if she could provide directions to the restroom and she just said "no." Asked for clarity and with a sigh she said "you have to go back down to the terminal." After a few more minutes waiting for someone to at least wipe our table and give us a menu, we just left. Walk 100ft to PF Chang's and get 200% better service.
google avatar

Eric C.

Yelp
Updated review, tv's were all on and were on different channels. Fries were significantly better this time, so much so, the baby momma ate mine and hers. The food came incredibly quick, good if you're in a rush and it's much better sitting here than in the busy airport.
google avatar

Ben C.

Yelp
The people working there are nice, but the food is just not good enough. I don't eat much fried food or burgers, so I picked a Caesar Salad and added chicken. The lettuce was good (chopped romaine), but the cheese was little matchstick bits (processed?) and the croutons were similarly manufactured looking, not great tasting rectangular pieces of undistinguished fried bread. It came with two plastic cups of dressing that was the consistency of thick mayo. The chicken was warm and sliced, but didn't appear to be freshly cooked. It's not that difficult to grate cheese, toast croutons or mix up a real Caesar dressing. I was having a looooong day, so the ability to sit at a bar with enough space around me was appreciated, but why can't airport dining rise above mediocre? There is no bathroom in the restaurant, so use the terminal bathroom before you ascend the escalator.

Sydney N.

Yelp
Amazing service! Very personable, fairly spacious, and amazing vibes! Food was good, too!
google avatar

Cassie C.

Yelp
Stopped on here during a layover and enjoyed that the restaurant was upstairs on its own kind of set away from the airport hustle and bustle - it felt like a bit of a reprieve. There was a lot of seating at the bar and I enjoyed the cucumber and lime Margarita and pretzel sausage sliders. The meal was good with a spicy brown mustard, and my drink was refreshing as well. Service was so so bit I enjoyed my meal, so I upped it a star. The garlic fries also smelled amazing although I didn't order them myself. An enjoyable place to enjoy a meal when you're at the airport with time to kill!
google avatar

Sm M.

Yelp
Food was tasty and the staff was nice. My biggest complaint was the wait time. At an airport you expect food to come out relatively quickly; people have places to go. After ordering, our wait was extremely long. Food wasn't coming out and then food started going out to larger parties who ordered after us. Clearly the kitchen was disorganized. Our three hours at the airport was primarily taken up by this place. I would not recommend coming here if your layover is less than 2 hours.
google avatar

Anthony N.

Yelp
Fast and friendly service but just so so quality. Drinks were on the high side of airport restaurant/bar venues. Restaurant was clean and well staffed. Neither my wife nor I will revisit this establishment.

Robert M.

Yelp
I have a rule that when I walk into a restaurant and a trash can is overflowing or the windows are filthly, I leave. If they can't get the basics right, you are in for bad food and/or bad service. The windows looking out onto the tarmac in this gem were filthy and I wanted to leave but my family wanted to stay. Big mistake. Despite having an hour to kill and asking the waitress if we had time, they still managed to blow it and we had to take our food to go. I have never seen such incompetence in my life and I am usually forgiving since I used to wait tables. Nobody was in any hurry on a not very crowded day. Plus, the food was terrible.
google avatar

Jessica W.

Yelp
I decided to stop here since I had an 8 hour wait at the Atlanta airport. I ordered a Bratwurst Sausage plate which included rice and veggies with a Cucumber and Lime Margarita. Sausage plate was delish! Drink was just okay. Service was just okay as well but in their defense, they were very busy. All in all it was a good experience. I sat at the bar and it was nice just chatting with others at the bar. If the opportunity presents itself again, I would go here again.
google avatar

Brianna P.

Yelp
We walked in from the elevator and passed the kitchen on the way in, we should have turned around at that point. It looked unkept and I was immediately turned off. I ordered the fish tacos and they were the worst tacos I've ever had. They were cold, they were flavorless, and the plate looked dirty. They were $18. The staff was friendly and did a great job, but I think corporate GB would be horrified!
google avatar

Liz P.

Yelp
I haven't been to a Gordon Biersch since the one in SF closed, so was super excited to have the garlic fries. The garlic fries did disappoint, not enough garlic, but the fried artichoke hearts were delicious and I also had a cup of soup that was pretty good (some type of sausage and orzo). We're in an airport, so it was packed and busy and pricey... all things I think go hand-in-hand with travelling. The staff were courteous and friendly, they made sure we had a low table and not a bar table due to the 4-year old we were travelling with.
google avatar

Bart M.

Yelp
Gordon Biersch Offers pub food with a nice view on the runway. If you are short on time or in a hurry, do not visit this restaurant. It is absolutely chaos to get seated and get your food in time to catch your plane. I waited for several minutes to get seated, the lady had to clean my table, and the other waitress was confused and asked if I moved from the bar to the table. I had to ask another guest if I could have a look at the menu since nobody brought a menu. More than 10 minutes later, the waitress finally took my order. The fish and chips were kind of OK, and the large Pils was actually the best part of the lunch. I still can't get over the fact why restaurants are allowed to charge so much money for a glass of beer. It's an absolute scandal. Overall, just your standard run-of-the-mill pub food with very slow service, but the view makes up for that.
google avatar

Steve C.

Yelp
Not a great experience. Had a early evening flight, this place was busy and it was crazy hot in the restaurant as the sun is beating down. The music was also crazy loud and they played obnoxious, club music. The staff seem to be in their own element with one another as if the patrons weren't really there. At least my server was friendly. I ordered the shrimp tacos with a side of rice. The tacos just simply fell apart when trying to eat them. The filling was placed in a hard shell taco, which was already broken on arrival and then wrapped in a grilled softshell taco which made it hard. Not a fan of the food and most definitely not a fan of the atmosphere.
google avatar

Rachel W.

Yelp
I've seen a lot reviews about poor service but we were seated and waited on rather quickly and had no complaints about it. Our waitress checked in on us several times and was friendly without being overbearing. She was offering to take food and drink orders before we were even necessarily ready and then proceeded to give us a few minutes to make our decisions. It was pricey but everything is in an airport. The food was just okay. I got the bratwurst sliders and my husband got the bourbon salmon. He felt that the middle was a little undercooked.
google avatar

Brandi K.

Yelp
I am shocked at how well the service was that we were provided here. For an AIRPORT RESTAURANT to have great service... I wish I remembered our server's name because she was AMAZING. You take an escalator up into the restaurant and it feels like you're entering a swanky nightclub. There were a handful of people waiting, but it didn't take long to get a table. It was fairly busy in there. Our server took our drink order right away and came back for our food order. We split a big pretzel with a sausage and that was super good. We also split a bbq burger which was plenty filling for 2 of us. Definitely enjoyed a pint of Oktoberfest on tap since it just became available. Definitely will come back here next time I'm stuck in Atlanta!

David B.

Yelp
OK it was a non holiday Sunday afternoon. Out of soft drinks Out of popular bottled beers (3 at least) Mozzarella sticks took say 20 minutes to be served, and then they were stone cold. Good view of the Delta A-T ramp.
google avatar

Michael M.

Yelp
So I got stuck after my 6am flight to Orlando got canceled. I quickly booked the next available flight which was more than double the price. Honestly it was annoying but hey I just want to be home. I decided I needed a drink to soften the blow and a bite to eat. Luckily I found this place and it was serving breakfast. I was told to sit wherever I liked and I ordered shrimp and grits and a bloody Mary. The bloody came very quickly and it was delicious and very welcome. The shrimp and grits came really quickly. A few dashes of Tabasco and I was in heaven. Shrimp, grits, bacon, and caramelized veggies. What could go wrong? Nothing....well as long as I get home.
google avatar

Jack K.

Yelp
A quick layover allowed for a quick sit down meal. Service was quick but our server disappeared and another server stepped up and took over. Great eats at airport prices.
google avatar

Heather B.

Yelp
We stopped in hoping to be in and out within an hour. I felt that was reasonable. But, when we were seated we did not see a waiting for about 5-7 solid minutes. By that time I had already reviewed the menu and knew exactly what I wanted. When the waiter came I did just that, order my drink and my food. The food took a little time. At this point I started to stress about time. When the food finally came out we were eating quick. Then I had to wait for the check, because the waiter could not be found. The enter time I was there 75 min, stressed me out. Food was ok. A tad pricy but I guess that's because we were in an airport.
google avatar

Demond S.

Yelp
I stopped in for a bite while in Atlanta at the airport. I ordered the BBQ cheeseburger with BBQ sauce on the side. The burger was ok. Fries were not fully cooked and somewhat cold. The burger was supposed to have bacon on it. That took another 5 minutes to get. I have to say, for the price, if you are not drinking at the bar, you are better off at the Boardwalk Burger and Fries in the food court below the restaurant.
google avatar

Jeremy R.

Yelp
If you like prison food in the airport, this is the place. I had a $25 gift card to Gordon Biersch and they did not honor it. Super overpriced and I would recommend going somewhere else, You will be glad you did
google avatar

Eddie R.

Yelp
This is an airport location. The vibe is nice in between flights. We came up for a quick bite. We sat at the bar. The waiters, on this day, were awesome. The food was very good. The service was excellent. What can I say. Everything was better than expected. We have a long connection on the way back. You know where we will be. Hope we get the same staff.
google avatar

Alicia M.

Yelp
For some odd reason, I will always be a fan of Gordon Biersch airport locations (at least for breakfast) lol! I had a layover in the Atlanta airport and decided to have breakfast here. I ordered what I thought was a breakfast bowl with potatoes, eggs, bacon, peppers, onions, and who knows what. When I got it, it looked like an omelette with a side of potatoes. I was confused but it was really good lol! The service was also good and I was in and out fairly quickly.
google avatar

Susan W.

Yelp
Arrived hungry for breakfast at 9:45, up since 4am. Hostess just walks me to corner table and I wait 15 minutes. No one brings water or speaks to me. Walked to hostess stand and said no appears to want to wait on me. Sh shrugged and said not a word. Often stop there, no more. Don't bother there are better choices in ATL.

Cindy H.

Yelp
One of the best airport meals I have had for the price. I ordered Boubon Salmon w/ vegetables and rice. Salmon was cooked properly, could do with a little less Boubon Sauce. My husband ordered BLTA fries and was also very happy.

Chris K.

Yelp
I arrived and waited for the host to acknowledge me and when he didn't I interrupted him to ask if I'm supposed to seat myself. He nods yes. 30 minutes later the sever shows up and tells me I wasn't supposed to seat myself. I cannot recommend this place if you want to eat.
google avatar

Steve V.

Yelp
This is a great mini-version of the real thing and because they are in an airport, they know to move fast and it shows. I had a little over an hour until my flight so I pulled up to the first come, first served seating at the bar since I was by myself. It was busy for sure, but the bar tender was with me fairly quickly and I placed my drink and food order with him. I was in the mood for something light, got I the caesar salad and added salmon to it. As I mentioned, it came out quickly and the salmon piece was on the small side, but not too small. The meal was good and did its job! I got the wheat beer on tap which of course is their own brew. I also liked that there was a hook at my seat to hang my backpack. I was in and out in around 40 minutes.
