I was super-stoked to eat here, love Gordon Ramsey & I live in Las Vegas but work for a CP competitor so I just won't dine at his collection in Las Vegas, so this opportunity was "beyond".
Here is where I was totally let down:
1-to eat at the bar they want every last piece of information from you, which is mind-boggling and sort of set a weird tone for my dining experience
2-I waited quite a bit of time to place my order, however, there were 11 staff members standing around between the bar and service entry
3-my order was simple; Caesar salad and mushroom risotto with scallops
4-it took 14 minutes to get the salad yet ironically, the guy seated down from me ordered his salad, at least five minutes after me and got his before me. When I asked one of the servers, "why"? His response was there was a computer glitch. He changed his tune and said there was a mixup in the kitchen.
5-there was no salt or pepper to be found and when you're sitting at the bar, there's really no need to place the napkin on my lap. Additionally, most bar service, fine, dining places, a napkin or placemat down as your service standard. This place did not.
6-the risotto arrived, presentation was dark and the worst part was, it was lukewarm at best. I flagged the server to come over and state this and was responded with an answer that the menu had changed that day and everybody was getting used to it.. which I find ironic because looking at OpenTable and yelp reviews the mushroom risotto has been on the menu for a long time.
Overall, yes, there are a lot of servers, but they're all more concerned with talking to each other and not really providing what I would consider a five star experience. The flavor of the food was as expected from celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay, however the lukewarm risotto was far less enjoyable at that temperature..
Management did come over to somewhat apologize although they never said sorry. They did take care of the bill however that was not the point., the point was service was subpar and so was the overall dining experience.
As I was leaving, a group of four gentlemen came to the bar to order drinks , either the bartender is confused or new or something else, but he basically refused to serve that group because they were friends of a larger group that was dining in the restaurant area. He didn't say he wouldn't serve them, but he questioned who they were and what they were doing at the bar instead of waiting at the table yet they were not sitting at the table.. seems to me like this place is stuck on bad policies instead of focusing on the guest experience and the product at hand.
If only Chef Ramsey were here, I think he would be screaming and yelling and disappointed as well .
