Did my husband's birthday here. Just a little small date that I saved up for and booked a while in advance and it was worth every single penny. The experience and atmosphere was amazing. The food was melt in your mouth delicious. The flavors were on point and nothing short of amazing. Our server was also charismatic, sincere, and kind. All in all this little romantic birthday dinner was so much fun and a 100000/10 rating. Such a good time!

For my wife's birthday dinner we choose the Gordon Ramsay Steak Restaurant. By far it was the best choice we made, the decor and setup were beautiful. The atmosphere was great. Our food....was the best food we have had in any restaurant in the last year. Compliments to the entire kitchen staff as everything was cooked to perfection and the taste...to die for. Our waitress Lisa Marie was an absolute blast. She was very knowledgeable about the food and which beverages best paired with it. She did not try to upsell us to the most expensive item, but made thoughtful recommendations tailored to our tastes and dietary preferences. She demonstrated excellence in every aspect of service. Among the best servers we have encountered. We definitely recommend Gordon Ramsay Steak and we will be back soon. All around an excellent dining experience.

We had an amazing Anniversary dinner here. Everything we ordered was scrumptious! I enjoyed everything they served us. We opted to order the Gordon Ramsay specialties. Started with a cocktail and their complimentary Gougere. Risotto and Onion soup for appies. Main, we had The Beef Wellington that was cooked to perfection, served with sides (Heirloom Carrots & Potato Puree) and we added roasted mushrooms and mac & cheese. Special thanks to Jayson for our complimentary Sticky Toffee Pudding (a must-try) and his superb service. This was indeed a memorable celebration for us. We’ll definitely be back!

Dining at Gordon Ramsay’s restaurant in Vancouver was a highlight of our trip! The food was absolutely delicious—every dish was crafted to perfection, bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. A special shout-out to our server, Allan, who made the experience exceptional. He was attentive, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond to ensure our meal was enjoyable. As someone who’s currently pregnant, I truly appreciated his thoughtfulness—he double-checked that my dishes were safe for me to eat and was extra mindful when carrying hot plates near our table. His kindness and professionalism made me feel so well taken care of. Thank you to Allan and the entire team for an unforgettable evening. We can’t wait to return!

Amazing experience here last night for my birthday. Beef Wellington was absolutely delicious, lived up to the hype. Brussels were unreal, never taste anything like it. Finished with a sticky toffee pudding which was easily the best I’ve ever come across. Our waiter was great and attentive. Overall an amazing restaurant & delicious food!!

Gordon Ramsay Steak in RICHMOND is a visually polished restaurant that brings a well-known name to the local fine dining scene, but the overall experience didn’t quite match the high expectations that come with it. The food is certainly prepared with care, steaks are cooked properly, sides are flavorful, and the presentation is elegant. The kitchen staff clearly work hard and are doing their best behind the scenes. However, the high price point feels hard to justify. You’re paying a premium not just for the ingredients or culinary execution, but largely for the brand name. Unfortunately, the ambiance didn’t elevate the experience. Where we were seated felt oddly disconnected from the rest of the restaurant—something about the lighting and acoustics made the space feel more like a repurposed hotel lobby than an intentionally designed dining area. While the team has done their best to create an upscale vibe, it’s hard to shake the feeling that this wasn’t originally meant to be a restaurant setting, and that lack of intimacy or cohesion was noticeable. The service was polite and professional, and our server was attentive, but even excellent table-side manner couldn't offset the awkwardness of the space or the steep cost for what was, at its core, a solid but not exceptional steak dinner. Overall, Gordon Ramsay Steak is worth visiting if you’re a fan of the brand or celebrating a special occasion, but be aware that the experience is more about the name than the value.

Google
I was expecting this place to be overhyped and disappointing but wow was I surprised! The service was amazing. The food was extraordinary! Everything was prepared well and with balanced flavours. I am not sure how the Beef Wellington can be that tender. Would highly recommend Gordon Ramsay Steak and will visit again. There is cheap parking across the street. Just be aware that if you sit at the patio, there will be planes flying overhead every 10 minutes or so.

Visited Gordon Ramsay’s new restaurant in Richmond, BC with high hopes. Overall, the experience was fine, but the food didn’t quite justify the premium price point. The ribeye steak was cooked to a perfect medium rare, but lacked flavour. The signature beef Wellington was unfortunately disappointing — overly seasoned with a soggy pastry. Side dishes were hit or miss: the bread was a highlight — warm, fluffy, and delicious — but the mushroom risotto was also over seasoned and underwhelming. The hamachi was fresh and well-executed. Service was a bright spot. Our server was attentive and professional, checking in regularly without us ever needing to flag him down. The atmosphere is upscale but approachable — stylish without feeling overly pretentious. That said, for the price, there are better options in the city. For example, Elisa offers a significantly better steak experience at a similar price point. Worth a visit if you’re curious, but I wouldn’t rush back.

Yelp
Food was cold, Server and Manager were very good. Manager convinced us to wait for our order to be redone. Still less than lukewarm, and this was under his supervision. He did apologize in a very authentic way. He comped our meals, we payed for our liquor. We only ate about 1/5th of our meal. My Sons meal was good and seasoned nicely. We had the Beef Wellington. Left an appropriate tip for liquor and all meals. But, all in all we ended up spending almost 3 hours for a subpar experience

Yelp
Must try for the record. I have to try this talk of the town restaurant. Located with in River Rock casino and hotel. Parking is here is free, clean and state of the art facility. Service is excellent and our server is very helpful and friendly. Foods we ordered are excellent but pricey, presentation is 10/10. Main dish is the beef wellington huge and can feed 3-4 adult, but the beef is so pink not sure if this dish is really cooked rare. Serves alcoholic beverages, very neat place, washroom is immaculately clean. Not all credit card is accepted and there's extra charge for paying with credit card. It was my b-day when we visited and i got to blow my b-day candle. Family friendly, kids friendly, good for group. Romantic vibes is in the air. You guys should try it yourself but for me its really pricey: Kudos Gordon Ramsay another restaurant in town.

Yelp
Made a reservation to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday as he enjoys watching clips of Gordan Ramsey's cooking to learn from. We were promptly greeted and taken to our table in the back in the formal dining room that's quieter and nicer than the front lounge of the restaurant that faces the casino and River Rock hotel lobby. The menu was explained to us by our server, along with the features of the day. I was pleasantly surprised that they offer mocktail features plus have three solid mocktails on the drink list, along with options like non-alcoholic beers and pop. My boyfriend ordered the Red Eye old fashioned and I got the One Night in Tulum mocktail. Both drinks were solid - no complaints. We ordered the warm bread, wild mushroom risotto, Jade Pure Australian wagyu striploin, Snake River Farms Wagyu skirt steak from Idaho, and fries. We were provided with a complimentary amuse buche which was excellent and our warm herbed bread came shortly after with spiced butter. This was pretty good and the rest of our food came shortly after we finished the bread - well timed out. I enjoyed the recommended Snake River Farms wagyu skirt steak as having just returned from Japan earlier this week, it was a nice fushion of both an wagyu and an American steak - rich, buttery, but meaty. The mushroom risotto was tasty and not overly salty, which I really appreciated, plus came with plenty of wild mushrooms. Fries were really good and the mustard aioli was better than I expected, as am not a big mustard fan. For dessert, we decided to split the famous sticky toffee pudding. It was nice but nothing to write home about. The restaurant did comp the dessert for my boyfriend's birthday, which was really nice, and the pudding did also have a special 'Happy Birthday' chocolate on it. Both food and service were solid. Was it the best we had? No, but it certainly didn't disappoint and we would definitely consider returning for another special occasion.

Yelp
OK... Let's be frank here. It's a restaurant that is setup by world famous chef and tv personality Gordon Ramsay. So you might think that it's overhyped, overrated, and over priced. You can fight me on the price but trust me, the hype is real and my rating is real. From the moment you step into the River Rock Casino, you get the feeling that Gordon is here - because you can't miss the floor to ceiling LED panel column that blows up with the signature flames. AND the huge Gordon Ramsay Steak smack in the middle of the place is a "subtle" reminder. Step up to the entrance to their lobby bar and please make sure you have a dinner reservation, or you just want to hang out at the lobby bar. Once confirmed, exit stage right! You are walked down a hallway lined with wine bottles and then a cut out caricature of the man himself signals your arrival. Ladies and Gents - expect service to be beyond your expectations. From the moment you sit to the moment you cheerfully walk out, you will have the pentultimate of service. Our server was Allan, and if you can get him, definitely ask for his table. He is a man that will make your night wonderful. Attentive, jovial, and single minded about making your night special. We had a couple of drinks to start. Get the "message from Gordon" - it's one of his insult quotes for you to take home. Wines are catered to you by their sommelier and as you can expect, they will make impeccable recommendations. So .. what to order. Ask if they have a Chef's menu for the night, if so, check your bank balance and go for it. Our evening had more delish suprises than being Charlie at a Wonka factory. AND of course, the menu will have Gordon's famous Beef Wellington. It is as good as you think it will be and then some. All in all, YES ... the hype is real. Yes... the rating is 5 stars. Yes... make sure you know that this will be an expensive dining experience! Totally recommended. CHEERS!!!

Yelp
Visiting a Gordon Ramsay Steak restaurant has been a dream for my mum and I for years. When we were in Vegas a few years ago, we didn't get a chance to try it there but as soon as we heard it was coming to Vancouver, it was a must try for both of us. This weekend, we were celebrating my mum's birthday which also happens to be in the same week as Mother's Day. So Ofcourse, Gordon Ramsay steak was the place we needed to be at. We made a reservation online which was such as easy process to do, but we did notice how fast the reservations were booking up. We ordered: - Miso Glazed Sablefish - Pan Seared Salmon - Sticky Toffee Pudding - British Stout Onion Soup - Heated Exchange Mocktail Food: the food was just as we expected it to be. DELICIOUS. I think we both inhaled our food because it was so good lol! Service: the service was wonderful right from the moment we got there to the time we left. I don't think I have anything negative to say. Shout out to our server, Brenda, who was amazing throughout the evening. Ambiance: the restaurant itself had a really interesting concept. As you enter, it leads to a very open space of tables and the bar which is considered the lounge area. However, as you walk through a gorgeous walk way, it leads you to a fine dining room and a door to the patio area. Absolutely loved the concept of how it was built. Loved how high end yet casual it felt while we were there. Overall, it was an amazing experience. My mum was very happy when we left and she's already thinking of our next visit! I'm so happy we had this experience to celebrate her.

Yelp
last visit March 2025 Warm Bread: For $9, it's not cheap. But yes, it's really good. Herb & spiced butter makes thos addictive; However, I still prefer the Torn Bread at Annalena, but this is up there. 4.5 stars Wild Mushroom Risotto We were already blown away by the Hell's Kitchen menu at Gordon Ramsey Steakhouse in Vegas a decade earlier; what we weren't expecting was this to be even better (didn't even add the scallops). Truly decadent, perfect seasoning and texture, perfectly cooked. 5 stars, 10/10 Wellington for 2: Yes, this is pricey, but you get 4 slices of Beef Wellington! (we could only finish 1 each! Lots of leftovers) The quality of the beef (tasted like filet mignon) was the best we've ever had, as well as the puff pastry was also the best we've had. My only minor gripe is that oy has a hair under seasoned, but I'll take under instead of over any day. 5 stars, 9.9/10 The Wellington comes with 2 sides, potato puree & root vegetables: The potato puree was very fluffy, whipped and airy. Perfectly done, but at the end of the day still whipped mashed potatoes. 4.5 stars The Root vegetables were multicolored carrots. Beautifully buttery, we would've ordered these separately of they hadn't been included! 5 stars. Bacon Mac & Cheese: we knew this would be good. It was a hair over seasoned (it *is* Cheese after all) but oh so decadent. 5 stars. Brussel Sprouts. Again, decadent, perfectly seasoned. 5 stars Sticky Toffee Pudding; The first time we tried this at Gordon Ramsey Steak House in Vegas, it instantly became one of our favourite desserts. This one didn't disappoint, and the serving was more generous here. 5 stars Along with Gordon Ramsey Steak in Vegas, every visit to Annalena, first visit to Le Crocodile, (2nd visit was during the changeover), this ranks among the best meals we've ever had. Overall 5 stars, 10/10

Yelp
I made a reservation ahead of time to celebrate a 30th birthday with my husband. Upon arriving, I was met with a open style lounge area, which is more casual and brightly, lit and quiet. We were brought further in, however, into a more private and classy interior space which I prefer preferred for my purpose. We started our meal with several appetizers: the Caesar salad, risotto with scallops, and the beef tartare. The Caesar salad looked heavy with dressing, but was in fact, light and very appetizing. It had hints of some spice like horseradish to cut through with the thickness of an otherwise dense sauce. The wild mushroom risotto with scallop was very creamy, cooked well, and not salty. The scallops were very tender and soft as well. (Scallops were $25+). The beef tartar came with a quail egg at the top as well as some veggie chips on the side. The beef tartare was chewy and well flavored, but the chips were too salty. When pairing with the beef tartar, we found that the chips overpowered the subtle flavors of the beef. Now onto of the night, which is the beef Wellington. It was 188 for a portion for 2 (there was no option to order one singular portion). The beef was cooked to perfection very tender and juicy. The puff pastry elements were crispy and flaky. The only negative was the mushroom purée that separated the beef and the puff pastry. We found that it was too overpowering for the other elements in the dish and did not let the beef shine. The dish came with two sides: mashed potatoes and roasted caramelized carrots. The carrots were sweet and delightful and the mashed potatoes were great. For dessert, we ordered the popular sticky toffee pudding. It had a little bit of ice cream on top and the texture was soft juicy and excellent. We found the ambience of this private seating area to be very comfortable and appropriate, with view of the kitchen and next to an outdoor lounge area. The service was attentive, and it was clear that the team cared a lot about small details.

Yelp
Finally got to try this place, and I must say it was not disappointing at all. The restaurant located in the front house of the casino, we made reso around 7:30pm on a weekday night, and the restaurant was full. The inside has a contemporary decor with high ceiling, and beautiful lighting fixture. It's very spacious. After we sat down, our server Bob came over and introduced himself to us and recommended some drinks. We tried some dirty martini, and the cocktail called Notes from Gordon. The dirty martini was standard, but the Notes from Gordon was nicely done, not too sweet and refreshing. It actually came with a printed note on each drink, which was unique. For appetizer, we tried risotto with scallop, which was very nicely done. The scallop is so tender, and the risotto was moist. For main course, we ordered the 30oz aged steak, and roasted beef Wellington with some sides including potato puree, fries, Brussel sprouts. We also ordered the chimichurri sauce to go with the steak, which gave a nice touch to it. The beef Wellington was nicely cooked, tender and moist. The crust on the outside is very crunchy, and the truffle in between added extra flavor, which went well with the beef. The bone-in aged porterhouse was nicely done. Juicy and tender. The portion for both were very generous and they were shared among four of us, and we could barely finish them. I'm very satisfied with our meal, from the service to the food, everything was exceeding my expectations. I will be back if we celebrate other special occasions.

Yelp
The service and food were excellent! Tried their Beef Wellington which comes with mashed potato and carrots

Yelp
I never felt a fondness towards Gordon Ramsay until I saw his renovation show on TV a few years ago. He & his crew went across the States renovating restaurants, giving them a new chance at survival in a very tough industry. The clips of him screaming at apprentices in Hells Kitchen really put me off him, rubbing me the wrong way. Besides he must have had the big kahunas to scream at people, while there's dozens of very sharp knives laying around! Yikes! This is the second location for Gordon Ramsay Steak, in Metro Vancouver. Reaction & feedback so far, to paying a heckava lot for a burger & or steak has been mixed. It's quite pricey so be prepared! There's plenty of already established steakhouses all over Metro Vancouver - ala Gotham, Hy's, Elisa, The Victor, The Keg, Earl's etcetera. You'll just have to peruse my page & check out my reviews - the competition is fierce. Located in the lobby of the River Rock Casino in Richmond, it's really hard not to miss when you walk in as it's centre located. The restaurant itself is beautifully designed & colourful. However, it's set in an open type setting & I'm not so sure I like that. I would have appreciated a few private type booths as when I eat steak, you really don't wanna see the faces I make - could cause major alarm & panic! LOL! Here I was at lunch time & it was closed. Bummer! Please note current operating hours are limited to evenings only. Check out the website.

Yelp
Our waiter/server was great, and this poor review is solely about the food and the prices. Our total bill was over $200 USD for 2 people. Fine, whatever, we saw the prices before we ordered, so that's on us. But it was crazy-expensive. However, for that price we expected excellent food and drink. Both of our filets (ordered medium well) were raw and bloody. It was like we got someone else's order. I would have sent them right back but they were closing and I know what that means-- nobody is paying attention. So we ate the edges of our filets. The two cocktails we ordered were not good-- it's amazing to me that a bartender can eff up two lemon drops, it's the easiest cocktail of all time. The caesar salad was delicious and was the highlight of an otherwise deplorable meal. I would go back to eat just the caesar salad, but it isn't called Gordon Ramsay's SALADhouse! This place really needs to step it up and substitute their white crispy napkins and pretty seating into better, well-cooked food. We were very disappointed after looking forward to this restaurant for over a month. I still kind of want my money back. The second star is because the server was so nice, and because at least it's in Canada. We won't be returning.

Yelp
My wife and I enjoyed Gordon Ramsay Steak Vancouver last night (Aug 9th) for our 35th anniversary dinner. It was a thoroughly enjoyable experience from start to finish. My wife has several severe allergies and Chef Kenzie went above and beyond to ensure she had a fantastic experience. The specially prepared beef wellington and mushrooms were everything we had hoped for and the sticky toffee pudding was the finale to a great evening. The staff were fantastic, introducing themselves by name and truly making us feel welcomed. Thank you all for a memorable experience.

Yelp
Nice venue. Service and food were very average. Servers were pleasant but fairly slow and not synchronized so some of us received our food while others waited. The caesar salad was good, pork belly was good, crab cake was just ok, tenderloin steak was cooked more than requested, Brussel sprouts were ok, but the sauce on them was a bit too rich for my liking. I guess I expected more, but realize that this is actually just a chain restaurant.

brian l.

Yelp
The food was amazing however our particular waitress was not attentive and did not really provide appropriate service for the venue. We spent the first 30 minutes waiting for our menu and water. Similarly after giving us the menu, she did not return for another 30 minutes. This repeated several times such as dessert ordering and paying for the bill. Food service was quiet, efficient and tasty.

Yelp
Went to Gordon Ramsey's steak for Anniversary. Been wanting to try it since it opened. Make sure to reserve a regular table and not in the lounge. Much more romantic even though my two children were with me. Had read some other reviews so I had an idea of what to expect. Food was a 10/10, Ambiance 10/10, service 10/10. Shout out to our server "Brenda". She treated us to a free hot toffee pudding for our anniversary. We were full from dinner but made room. The four of us wanted to try everything. So we started with the Warm bread, (great tasting butter). The wild mushroom risotto and Petite plateau. Which included 6 oysters, tuna tartar, 4 tiger prawns, a crudo with sauces and dips. Definitely use with the bento sauce. For the mains we ordered the Beef Wellington for 2. (Takes 45 mins.) The sable fish and the special Canada Day of a wagyu tri for $200. There was an Australian beef, American skeet steak and Japanese wagyu. I think the Japanese was the best tasting. This tri was only 20 dollars more for the total 12 ounce of steak. The sides we tried were root vegetables and potato purée came with the Welly. The Brussels (my fav.). They started us with an amuse-bouche very creamy bite. The risotto was a highlight as well as the tri. If you're into sweets Gordon's mom pudding is a wonderful treat. My only negative comment was even at 8:30 pm the sun was right in my son and my eyes the first part of the meal. I could not see my other family members. Overall a great meal but pricey at $600 before tip and taxes. In

Yelp
First time at a Gordon Ramsay restaurant so my expectations were pretty high. The beef wellington was significantly bigger portions than I thought. We enjoyed this with the mashed potatoes and carrots. We also tried the warm bread, french onion soup, crab cake and pork belly to start! We had leftovers and we were so full we didn't even have dessert. I wish I knew ahead of time about the dining area that was tucked away in the back and how pretty it was. We got the lounge though it was hard to get reservations so I won't complain. It was so busy that the walk-ins had to sit at the bar which was completely full. I will come here for drinks and desserts one night.

Yelp
- food is good. consistent quality and standard to other locations i tried in the US - our server was amazing! good suggestion of wine pairing and attentive - we sat on the bar side so it was a bit noiser than what i preferred - would choose the dining room side next time

Yelp
This is easily the cheesiest "high end" steakhouse I've ever been in and I've been to quite a few up and down the west coast of North America. First turn off as you enter this wide open, brightly lit space in River Rock which The Curve used to occupy, you'll notice that there are no live plants anywhere in this supposedly "classy" steakhouse. I had their Caesar's salad which was probably the best thing they have on their menu. Both their French onion soup with stout and their 22 oz rib eye were over salted. The steak itself was totally unimpressive, it came out looking like and tasting much like the steak that came with the steak and eggs I had at Denny's for breakfast a couple of weeks ago. With hindsight, the Denny's steak was better because it came out unsalted. Definitely not a place you want to take someone you're looking to impress. The only things impressive were the prices. If you want to go just to see what it's like by all means go right ahead but please leave your high expectations at home because you won't find any here. Only thing I can say was good was the service, my waiter was very professional, for that they earned an extra star.

Yelp
Another Kitchen Nightmare at Ramsay's... I have been looking forward to this place opening and giving it a try especially my experience at Ramsay's burger joint was as exciting as drinking a can of flat cola. Arrived and greeted by the hostesses, verified the reservation (reservation is recommended) and led us to our table in the bar/ lounge area, but seated literally right at the first table up front, behind the hostesses. There were other tables available, brilliant minds at work! (the bar/ lounge area right up front and the dining area at the backside). Anyways, here were the food I ordered; 1. Gougere. Little complimentary bites for dining guests. It was okay. 2. British stout onion soup. It had a generous portion of short ribs but was more like a beef stew than soup, the cheese was nice. However, I personally prefer the traditional French onion soup more. 3. Celery root soup. Surprisingly it was quite good with a nice light subtle taste. 4. Grand Plateau. Well lets say there's nothing grand about this besides the price; out of oysters so replaced with 4 prawns, no whole lobster so replaced with 2 chick lobster tails in halves, king crab LEGS meant a king crab leg in halves (LOL). The hamachi crudo was okay but as for the tuna tartare?? Was I supposed to order some bread or bring my own taro chips for it? This Grand Plateau ($249) is consisted of the the Petite Plateau for $64 and for an additional $185 you get "A" king crab leg in halves and some kind of Canadian lobster; maybe a whole lobster or maybe a couple of chick lobster tails. I tried many seafood towers and by far this one failed miserably for its price and what comes with it. 5. Roasted beef Wellington (for2). The front 2 pieces were medium rare and nice but the last 2 pieces were a bit overcooked, medium. Can't fail them signature dishes Chefs!!! The front of the restaurant (bar/ lounge) was nothing spectacular; just a typical bar/ lounge vibe and didn't have that fine feel. As for the food, they certainly failed at many levels and expectations. The seafood tower was a disaster especially 1/2 of the items were a bad replacement. I am still trying to figure out the $185 for 2 chick lobster tails and 1 king crab leg in halves, hmmm.. huh?... huh! As for the beef Wellington, one of the signature dish, half of it was overcooked. It's a signature dish and plus you as chefs get to cut them to see if it was up to standard before serving it. What were you guys in the kitchen hoping? As for the 2 side dishes... no comment! The service was okay, still have a little to learn along the way. The manager did took the seafood tower (Grand plateau) off the bill, I didn't know that until the bill came but I told the waiter that it's okay I'll pay for it. I only wanted to express my concern not asking for free food. He said he'll talk to the manager and came back with the full amount bill added back on (1st restaurant in my experience to add back what's taken off.. lol). I would say rookie move by the waiter or manager or both?? For all those who read my reviews, any food items taken off due to mistakes, I always pay back in full along with the tips. P.S. never add back what's taken off, it's not about the money, it's a sign of sincere gesture and respect even if a customer insist on paying for it. Nevertheless, I paid in full plus 20% tip. Overall, I was hoping for a better experience here than I had at the Ramsay's burger joint especially this place was supposed to be luxurious fine dining according to its mission statement, "Unforgettable Cuisine". I bet Ramsay wanted me to forget this experience then remembering it because it belongs to another episode of his Kitchen Nightmare show. Fine dining is not just about the food but the experience, experience failed!

Yelp
Fantastic. Food was amazing. Wine selection phenomenal. Priced high so special occasion vibes. My only criticism would be our service, but he was new and still learning.

Yelp
the food was generally really good, especially the scallops and the mashed potatoes were perfect. i was a bit disappointed with the beef wellington, it was a bit tough and i didn't enjoy the flavour. the service was really good though and ambiance is nice.

Yelp
First the service was 5 stars. The food however was less than stellar. For the price you pay you would think you get what you see on their website but take a look at the difference, guess which one is the commercial and what you get. Sides and all were good but super disappointed on the main course as my tomahawk was burnt.

Yelp
My wife and I had been waiting years for this opportunity. Finally a Gordon Ramsay steakhouse here in BC. We decided to wait until our weeding anniversary to go. And wow!!, what a underwhelming and disappointing experience. Being seated in a wide open casino lounge area felt like we were at an airport bar. The beer was warm and the food was cold. The beef Wellington wasn't made to Gordon's recipe as it was missing the Parma ham and I'm sure missing the English mustard. The risotto was cold, and the mac n cheese was ok. The warmest thing that was served was the sticky toffee pudding. Our server was the best part of the evening. He did a great job with advice and service. But paying 500 dollars for a cold meal in airport bar wasn't what I expected after all these years of waiting. This was by Far the most disappointing Resturant experience of my life. I went into debt for this dinner thinking the meal and experience would be so good it would be worth picking up some extra night shifts to pay it off. Well. Joke is on me I guess. The moral of the story I guess, is to not be believe everything you see on TV. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably isn't.

Yelp
We stayed at the River Rock Casino Resort in Richmond BC and to our surprise there was Gordon Ramsay Steak restaurant! We had reservations at a different establishment which we cancelled so that we could experience this restaurant. We had no reservations but luckily it was just for two. We were seated right next to the bar at a high top table around 7:00pm. It was very entertaining to see the hustle and bustle of all the waiters and waitresses! I was very limited in my options for food because of my sensitivity to garlic and onions. Our server Brenda was absolutely amazing! Very accommodating and did her best to work with the Chef to get food into my belly! I had an oyster, steak ( 8 oz tenderloin ) w/ salt and pepper, and roasted carrots. Pretty standard, but the steak (ordered medium rare) was incredibly tender! The carrots were carrots...but tasty. My partner ordered beef tartare ("best he ever had and really wishes I could have some") and oysters. He was worried he wouldn't be able to eat half a dozen of oysters but had no issues. The dish came with a little baby Tabasco bottle...so cute! Drinks were definitely sweet cocktails. Sweeter than I prefer for a beverage but I had to try there signature cocktails! I ordered Notes from Gordan (which actually comes w/ a note) and then The Obligatory Vodka Drink. The desserts were loaded up because Brenda felt bad that I couldn't eat much. So we had the cutest little cookies to go with our decaf coffee. The Sticky Toffee Pudding is a must have. We should have just order two of them. The Chocolate Tart was really just that. A must for a chocolate lover though...but after eating The Sticky Toffee Pudding nothing else compares. Next time, I will probably just order decaf coffee and two orders of dessert...The Sticky Toffee Pudding for dinner of course! All in all, we left very satisfied and full to the brim thanks to Brenda. The experience overall was memorable because of her. She really takes her skill of hospitality to the next level by providing a truly individualized experience and genuine care of her guests. Her little tid bits of information throughout her service made the experience not just incredibly informative but you end up feeling just well taken care of. Thank you for the five star experience Brenda!

Yelp
This place well what can you say it's Gordon Ramsay steak. The would was awesome like nothing I have ever tried. The service unbelievable you just can't beat it every one of the waitresses or waiters were very well trained. There is no changing anything on the menu but I have never bean picky. There is tons of free parking at the river rock. I set up a reservation showed up early and still got a seat. Had apps main and dessert all of them were amazing. In true color of Gordon Ramsay. The prices were expensive but I expected that. The ambiance is high roller in there chairs are awesome tables and cutlery aswell.

Yelp
The payment was made twice due to the server's mistake, but I haven't received a refund of nearly $500 for two months I called several times, but they said they would give me an answer, but I didn't get an answer If you see this review, please contact me quickly.

Yelp
We were excited to try the Steak restaurant after having one of his burgers in Coquitlam. We left, however, very disappointed. Our Wellington came room temperature along with our ribeye which was something we hadn't experienced at other fine dining restaurants. The Wellington's truffle filling overpowered the taste of the beef and I couldn't finish it. We did enjoy the potato pureee and the scallops were very good, but for the price you get two only. The other decent item was my cocktail. It was very good. Service was excellent, hence the 3 star rating. As I am not the only one mentioning cold and room temperature steak, one has to assume this is their standard, but honestly, the lack of heat made our rib-eye very unappealing in taste and texture.

Yelp
The food was Amazing . We had the beef Wellington . It was so tender . The service was top notch. As soon as you walked in , the staff was so friendly and very accommodating . The Ambiance was ok . I did expect a little more class . The one thing that did bother me was how people dressed so casually . As a higher end restaurant , I thought more people would take pride and dress according . Just my thoughts .

Yelp
We went to the restaurant the day after grand opening. Order was oyster appetizer, Beef Wellington with carrots and a side of Brussel sprouts paired with a Boudreaux and Black Forest trifle for desert. Service was five star. Complimentary appetizer pastry wonderful. Beef Wellington, perfect medium rare & tender. Pastry and mushroom coating perfect, as were the sauces. The wine definitely worth the price. The vegetables were good but not outstanding. The desert tough, hug. Black Forest should taste of rich chocolate and cherry accents. This thing was bland to the point of almost tasteless. As a restaurant experience it was good but I have had better at lower prices. Disappointing after having watched so many of Gordon Ramsay's shows.

Yelp
We decided for my Wife's 60th Birthday we would dine at the new Gordon Ramsey Steakhouse in Richmond......The atmosphere in the restaurant was quite amazing, the staff were incredible (very attentive, very knowledgable regarding the food and very gracious), the brought the first starter (which I had a Fish Cake), my food tasted like cork and the sauce was vile, so I sent it back and got a mutant Shrimp Cocktail, which I would class as acceptable (by Boston Pizza standards), anyway onto the main course which was a Rack of Lamb supposedly medium rare (it was well done), the potatoes were like water and doused in Garlic, we only got one of the sides we ordered (there was no explanation or apology as to the missing side)....Anyway I kinda nibbled on the Lamb and left it.....Admittedly someone in authority did ask about our experience and when we said we were disappointed, they knocked some money off and we left........In summary one of the worst dinning and eating experiences I have had in a restaurant and feel that Boston Pizza can do a better Shrimp Cocktail and Swiss Chalet better food (and that is not an exaggeration), I would not go back to Gordon Ramsey Steakhouse and be robbed by a load of grinning staff and terrible Chefs. I tried to contact the Head Office to complain but it is so complicated you cannot do it (very handy for bad reviews, because they will never be seen). I hope this complaint make a difference but I very much doubt it will be read or acknowledged by the Ramsey Empire.......They don't care
