18 Bars Where You Can Drink With Clients - New York - The Infatuation

"There’s a good chance you haven’t heard of The Gordon Bar, but if you occasionally go out for drinks with people who like relatively quiet spaces that feel like hotel lobbies, it’s a spot you should know about. It’s hidden up a flight of stairs in the Sixty Soho Hotel, it never seems to get too busy, and there are a lot of couches and armchairs perfect for meetings." - bryan kim

We went to dinner later then we ever do dinner and it was super busy but the service was still good and the food was great! We loved everything we had! We got the Gorgonzola & Brie with bread and a side of hummus. Our kiddo got a burger and fries, it was super good! I got the salmon it was great and the mashed potato’s were so good! My hubby got the pepperoni pizza and he enjoyed it. We shared the Dulce De Leche cheesecake and it was so good! Best cheesecake I’ve had! Even better then the Cheesecake Factory! I wish I could remember our servers name, she was working Saturday evening 02/22/25 and has blonde hair in a ponytail, she was great! She did pretty well for how busy they were!

The flavor was good on the mushroom pasta dish, sent back my first one as it was served practically cold! Second one was warmer but not heated enough. Really sad as the flavors were good and the portion small. Will make my own wild mushroom with pasta at home and it will be served at a good temperature. I’ve worked in kitchens and it was right around the corner from where we were sitting no excuse to be serving lukewarm pasta dishes , my husbands pork chop was cooked well the flavors were good but again not piping hot, for service of hot food on cold plates is no good! For a little pasta at $21 sent back for being cold, sad! Won’t be eating there again!

So I have to start off with saying the staff is VERY friendly! Service was a bit slow but part of it could be that it was a busy mothers days... so that said: they had a "special" mother's day BRUNCH so we decided to finally give the Gordon a try... there food was decent but not great.. (some better then others).. but for $50 per person (and that didn't include any type of drink, alcohol OR non-alcohol... for that price drinks should be included, at least the 1st one!) I expected more... was a very small brunch layout, again no drinks, most of the main food did seem fresh made but most of the desserts did NOT.... was still a very nice place and my wife and adult kids enjoyed themselves which made it worth it but again for $250+ for 4 adults (and one kid. Which WAS worth the $15 kids price for her at least!) and 2 drinks i expected... MORE. We'll give them another shot for a normal meal i think though just do to the nice staff and see how it goes!

🤩AN ABSOLUTE GEM OF A RESTAURANT🙏 To be honest, at first we did not know this was a hotel restaurant, but we are glad that they accept non-hotel guests. Also we hit happy hour at 10pm right on time! The decor in the restaurant is very modern and upscale. With modernist crystal chandeliers and a dark toned furniture; appealing to many cohorts of customers. We walked in expecting to pay at least $50-$60 a person, but the menu was surprisingly on the price-friendly side. The taste: The FOOD WAS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING😫 The best: $6 Brussels Sprouts. I know nobody likes greens but this Brussels sprouts is outta pocket! With crispy bacon bits adding the necessary animal fat flavours, the cranberries provided the perfect relief from the grease and salty savoury seasoning. The Brussels sprouts are cooked perfectly with slight chard to them. 10/10 made me like veges again! Pizza: We got the mushroom pesto pizza. The flavour was right. The toppings were plenty with every ingredients bustling with their each unique flavours. However I like my pizza a little softer than what was given. Still, a great pizza for $14. It’s literally better priced than dominos in an upscale restaurant! Pasta was $21, a regular dinner menu item. a generous 5 pieces of jumbo shrimps. White sauce was very creamy and savoury. However the pasta choice is quite odd, is thinking it would be spaghetti but it was thicker than spaghetti. Overall a decent dish with very well seasoned garlic and cream flavours. The salad: My wife absolutely loved it. Take in she is also a vege-hater. But this romaine salad has the perfect balance of Parmesan kick to the dressing, along with sprinkles of hazelnut bits making it a delicious salad. We really enjoyed the salad. Calamari: Almost potatoe chip like crispiness to them. With a lime dip cutting down the deep fried grease, very refreshing option. Great to go along with a drink! An absolute gem of a place in downtown Eugene. This is what road trips is all about: discovering unique experiences of food and culture. And indeed we did, Gordon Tavern did not disappoint! Made us want to stay at Gordon hotel instead!

Overall a great experience. The atmosphere is beautiful, the service was really good and the food was terrific. The tavern chips appetizer was full of flavor and the calamari was crisp. The seared chicken was delicious as it was juicy and very flavorful. Also, the espresso martini is pretty good. The complimentary birthday ice cream was a nice touch. Stacey was our main server and she was extremely sweet and very good at checking in and taking care of us. The only thing was the Cobb salad. It was good, but the avocado served with it was not ready at all. It didn’t ruin the dinner/celebration though. We would go again and glad that we finally had a chance to try it.

I recently visited Gordon Tavern with a client to mark the successful close of a professional engagement. Unfortunately, what was intended to be a celebratory outing was markedly diminished by the service we received. While the ambiance of the establishment was pleasant and the beverages, albeit slightly underpoured, were of good quality. Our server, Stacey, demonstrated a stark contrast in demeanor toward us compared to other guests. She appeared warm, attentive, and engaging with surrounding tables, yet her attitude toward us was noticeably indifferent and disengaged. Though we were casually dressed and may have appeared younger than other patrons, it is disconcerting that such superficial factors seemed to inform the quality of our service. As a result of this evident disparity, we felt uncomfortable and chose to conclude our visit after only one drink. It is my sincere hope that the establishment reflects on the importance of equitable hospitality and ensures that all guests are treated with the same courtesy and respect, regardless of perceived status or appearance.

Nice place, good service, but ok food. Chicken sliders were more bun than meat with several bites essentially meat free. Two of us ordered this dish from their happy hour menu and both of us had the same experience. Cocktails were good and a good value for happy hour. Pizza was ok - sauce was a bit too tangy and overpowered the toppings. Dough was pretty good though. Dinner menu was pretty short, not a lot of options. I liked the space and vibe, just wish the food kept up. I'd give 3.5 stars if I could. Parking is decent at nearby lots, but be ready to walk a block or two
