Gordo Taqueria Review - Richmond - San Francisco - The Infatuation

"Clement Street has a better reputation for dumplings than burritos, but that shouldn’t stop you from going to Gordo Taqueria. We like the grilled chicken burrito, but the chili verde is a solid bet, too. Gordo has another location in the Richmond not far away from here, so if that’s the closest one to where you are, go for it, but we like this location best." - Will Kamensky

Google
I don’t leave reviews often but I had the chance to try this taqueria today and they hands down have some of the best tacos ever!! MUST TRY!! 🔥🔥🔥

Google
I was so excited to try this place because I used to go here all the time as a child. Unfortunately the tacos left a lot to be desired. They were pretty overcooked and I got two different types of meat. Also we ordered a pretty good amount of tacos but only received one green salsa which was pretty disappointing. The tacos were inedible so I definitely won't be going back

Food was good. The elote lady was awesome! Got every corn perfect. I hope they treat her right or I might steal her!!!! She was so friendly and efficient.

Google
These tacos are definitely disgusting! The barbacoa sopes I ordered had very salty meat. My dad ordered a torta, and the meat was so salty that he even got sick. I wouldn't buy food from that horrible place again. The food is simply disgusting.

Google
Way over priced. These are uptown prices for a taco stand in the hood. Got 4 tacos (baby corn tortillas instead of normal sized) for lunch and a drink and paid $15. Their machine also asks for a tip on top of that🤦🏻‍♂️

Marco Texas

Google
Horrible tacos, the onion I received was spoiled and rotten. I had to throw these tacos in the trash. Over priced, I paid $30 for 10 tacos. This place has gone downhill ever since gentrification happened. The cashier is rude.

Google
Tacos are good! The dude is very rude. He told me to take a picture of he Manue , because I sounded very demanding and desperate on the phone. I called to place an order and asked what meats they had. He wanted to send me the menue rather than tell me over the phone.. so rude, I hope the manager(owners), see the review and get on his behind. .

This place never let's me down!! The customer service and food are truly amazing. And the lemonade tastes better than chick fila.

Yelp
Health Department needs to visit them!! A roach was in the rice and I'm glad I look through my foood before I ear it!

Yelp
I've been living in Oak Cliff for 15 years and never stopped by to gordos taqueria till the day of February 17 at approximately 6 PM I stopped by to get some tacos and an a elote. someone had recommended it to get tacos from here, but they took so damn long and then when I received my tacos and my elote. My Elote was cold already and it tasted like the one from the can and then my tacos had a big long hair in them. I was disgusted so I threw them away that was my first experience at Gordo taqueria I won't be eating here anytime soon. I don't like posting in yelp but it was a waste of 20$ thank you!

Yelp
These tacos are the best ! My favorite are the Fajita & chorizo tacos ! Omg don't get me started on their sopes ! Trust me, it is super authentic and good. People complain about price but people don't realize EVERYTHING is expensive. Remember guys buying food at restaurants or takeout food isn't a necessity !

Yelp
Delicious food, just a bit hard to call in an order at times. I will have to call multiple times for them to answer the phone.

Yelp
Super good tacos, the guy working the window was really friendly. Please be aware it's cash only!!

Yelp
Love this place!!! Home cooking, looks like the mom in back putting everything together. Awesome Beef Skirt Fajita tacos, fresh squeezed lemonade and Ochata. First time there and can't wait to go back.

Yelp
The best tacos I've ever tried. The pastor tacos are the best ones I've ever tried and the service was amazing

Yelp
Gordos taqueria is my favorite spot in Dallas. I have yet to find Al Pastor prepared anywhere as well as Gordos prepares it (I've been searching for years). The meat is juicy, full of marinated flavor, and is my personal definition of soul food. When I top it with a squeeze of lime, a healthy portion of red sauce, alongside diced fresh onions, cilantro, and a bite of toreados, I enter heaven. The flavor of the red sauce really ties it together- they really understand flavor. The staff is great, friendly, and loving people. The best Mexican food in Dallas can only be found at the dinner tables in the homes of the wonderful families in Oak Cliff...and Gordo's Taqueria is the closest you can come to that.

Yelp
Really great authentic food, this place has real Fajita meat and not Biztec or Ribeye or a version of fake Fajita meat. I've gotten Tacos, Torta and Sopes de fajita from this place and each time they are so so good.

Yelp
Gordo's is literally a taco shack located in the parking lot of a mini shopping center. Authentic Mexican tacos served fresh & hot! I always order their barbacoa tacos. So yummy! 3 tacos can keep my hunger at bay, 5-7 fills me up. Next visit I may venture out of my barbacoa taco comfort zone and try something different from their menu. Oh, do not forget to ask for extra napkins, you'll definitely need them. So glad I stumbled upon this place! Quick Service Fresh Food Friendly Staff

Yelp
I love this place. Every time I'm on that side of town, i make point to stop by. I've had street tacos all over the city and these are in my top 5, easily.

Yelp
Wonderful, made fresh street tacos and more. You always know a place is good when the locals are willing to wait. I ordered the steak street tacos and added fresh avocado. Cashier said it took about 12 min Absolutely delicious and worth the wait Only downside is they are cash only and they have no seating I plan to come back and try many more dishes

Yelp
I've lived in the Midwest the last 10 years and was recently back and decided to try this place and man if this has been the same owner before i moved away i want to kick my self in the face. These are some good tacos, the quesadillas are huge and the aguas frescas are perfect. I wish I would have tried them when I lived in Dallas before I moved away because it's 11:30 at night I'm in Iowa and I'm craving that quesadilla.

Yelp
Amazing customer service and food!!! The menudo was delicious and of coarse the tacos are always on point. Local taqueria with a lot to offer on the menu. The agua de melón is super refreshing.

Yelp
Was going to place a to go order lady that answered was rude! Said to hurry and order.

Yelp
The food is amazing and so flavorful! Best tacos I've had. I only gave it a 4 star rating because the customer service could use a little work. If you call in to make an order depending on who answers the phone they'll hang up on you if you don't speak Spanish. This has happened to me on several occasions.

Yelp
This isn't going to dethrone El Tacaso as my morning taco fix, but it's super close to work and does right by lunch. It's just down the street from work and is a welcomed change from the Wendy's and McDonald's that are sitting around here. A little, brightly colored building with a walk up window. The breakfast tacos are good, cheap, and tasty. Not my favorite on the block, but there's good stuff going on. Tortas, however, are great. I've been getting beef lately. It's seasoned very well. The avocado slices are creamy and fresh and even the tomatoes are looking pretty good. Salsa comes liberally in little containers and it's pretty tasty as well. There's no pricing on the menu, so I just kinda guess my way around what everything. I don't think I've broken eight bucks yet. That was a torta and two tacos. Not too shabby.

Brandon C.

Yelp
The tacos are amazing especially the fajita and chorizo ones. I also enjoy the Gorditas and tortas.

Yelp
This place was pretty good. It's your standard taco shack fare, and is pretty comparable to El Si Hay. You won't find a helotes cart, however. I came all the way to Gordo's because they were the closest place I found on Yelp that had breakfast tacos, and they did not disappoint. I wouldn't come too far out of my way to get these tacos, but if you're in the area and are craving street tacos you won't go wrong at all. Please note, this place is CASH ONLY.

Yelp
This place gets 7 out 5 stars , would spend all my money on beef tacos with sour cream

Yelp
First time here, will be coming back although the sopes were quite crunchy. I think the flavor of the meat made up for it though. Rather good salsa too.
