Gorilla Sushi

We were in Vegas for our wedding anniversary and wanted to find something in and around the city. We came upon this sushi GEM!! It definitely was worth the 20 minute wait. Even at 8 pm there was a bit of a wait and we saw why! They food was amazing,a every dish, every plate and drink was VERY good!! All you can eat sushi for around $30 a person was well worth it! Definitely will be back! The place has good energy and the staff was very attentive during our visit.

Hidden gem. The food in incredibly fresh. Service is great, and you get all you can eat lunch for $25.95. Order the Caterpillar roll, and the Johnny roll. You won’t be disappointed.

We were served by Kelly and the service was excellent. We were able to enjoy a very good night eating the best sushi in Vegas!

Everytime I have been to Gorilla I have been served by the greatest server, Diana. Diana has a heartwarming personality that glows through her actions and makes me feel at home. The food, service, hospitality, and atmosphere make me feel welcome to come.

So good. When we are in Vegas we ask our Lyft/Uber drivers for restaurant recommendations. This place came up more than once, and with good reason. The service was friendly and quick. The food was great (but don't get the ramen), even had desserts all for one price. If I'm in Vegas again I WILL RETURN.

It’s a small cozy place … food is good and service but wasn’t thrilled about it after seeing “advertisement” SUSHI NEKO is #1 for me …

Make sure you prepare yourself when you initially walk in! The host will shout welcome in Japanese so don’t be startled like I was lol. Overall rolls were good. Good flavor, fresh, nice texture. No complaints. Service was extremely fast. Our overall experience lasted maybe 30 minutes and we ordered over a dozen items. These people are turning tables like no other place I’ve ever seen. As soon as you’re done with a plate, it disappears from the table. Atmosphere was cool. Nice lighting, sports on the TVs and great music. Overall good experience. Would very much go back.

The food came super fresh and fast. This hands down is THE fastest sushi restaurant I ever eaten at 💯

A place to eat if you want to enjoy high energy & good food. Parking however is not the greatest so plan ahead and definitely make a reservation as this place is ALWAYS busy. The music is always on point, as well as the food. We had some mixed reviews only on the ikura nigiri but it seems to be more so about preference & slight freshness. Overall, the service is always awesome. This is our 2nd time visiting and we left happy with our belly full!

Good All You Can Eat sushi place in Las Vegas. They also have other food items here other than sushi too like pho and ramen. I would say decent selection of sushi to choose from at a decent price. I liked the ambiance that was fun and lively (although when we went there there was not that many people). Service was good as well. Overall I would recommend Tip: Come hungry, plenty of parking, and note that this restaurant is off the strip.

I'm not a big sushi eater, but I enjoy trying different rolls and creations when I do go out for sushi. Unfortunately, compared to other places I've visited, I didn't find some of their special rolls very tasty--I've had better elsewhere. The prices are fairly standard for sushi and really depend on how much you order, so no complaints there. The restaurant itself is comfortable, and the service was excellent. The staff were very friendly and attentive, which I appreciated. One downside was that I left with my clothes smelling like the restaurant, which was a bit unpleasant. Also, be cautious about leaving belongings in your car, as the area seems to have a lot of vagrants around. Overall, it was an okay experience, but not a spot I'd rush back to.

We enjoyed the sushi that we order, I really didn't see a variety like at restaurant I have been to in CA. The birthday celebration was cool. I had better, so I won't be back. BTW, the bathroom was clean.

This place is amazing! Has some of the freshest ingredients! I love sushi! The rice cakes are the best in town to me! 10/10!

Really exited to try this place after seeing such about it on social media! We were immediately greeted and sat at a booth & everything tasted great & came out quickly! My husband quickly became addicted to their edamame, and had about 4 bowls of it. I love that most of their rolls have specific details as to what they consist of, so for someone who may not be as familiar with sushi, they can pretty easily navigate the menu; which has a great selection. Now, there were a couple of things we didn't love outside of the wonderful food & service. Those couple of things being: The music felt too loud. It's a relatively small place, and the music was a tad on the loud side for what I prefer in a restaurant setting. It was a little difficult to hold a conversation at the table without feeling like I had to raise my voice at times. The second thing was the table itself. It was so unstable and slippery. The slightest lean or tap of the table left it sliding a couple of inches to and from myself and my husband constantly throughout the meal. It led to a messy table with splashed sauces and drinks a few times. Perhaps we were just at the one table that did that, but it was certainly the most annoying part of the experience as a whole. We will certainly return to try more wonderful menu items, and some favorites from our first visit, and will absolutely bring friends. If we get a table that doesn't slip & slide next time around, I'll likely revise and give it a full 5 star.

I'm a bit torn about Gorilla Sushi. I heard so many great things about their food, service and their ambiance. I heard they seat you quickly, food is fresh, and nigiri was up there with one of my favorite places in town. We decided to try Gorilla Sushi since one afternoon since we were hungry and their wait time was shorter than our usual spot. We went in with an open mind, and high expectations since they were so highly recommended and highly spoken of, we thought we'd get better food and service. However, we had mixed emotions at the end of our meal, and the only thing I would come back for are the Meloni dessert bars, which are pre-packaged by the restaurant. The nigiri was a hit or miss, it was warm, some of the salmon was decent, but didn't' taste fresh at all. their yellowtail was also, not fresh, and the rice was falling off our nigiri. The busser that was at our section was very aggressive, and rude. She really said, "give me that pile of dishes." I looked at her, and she said, "please". I was shocked and thought that maybe because they were busy she was acting this way. However, it was during our entire dining experience she acted this way so she might have been having a bad day. We had to ask for plates, napkins, refills, etc. They didn't explain or recall the rolls that were brought over, and our server was very busy with other tables so we didn't see her too much. The appetizers they offer are different from your typical sushi place, with corn cheese, takoyaki, tteokbokki, it's really a great variety. I had to try their takoyaki of course, and that wasn't too bad! just a but warm- wasn't fresh which i'm accustomed to. The ambiance in here is loud, so make sure you come to eat and goof around, because it's not an upscale place, it's good for groups and they have a good drink variety option. They do have the option of 1/2 rolls, so if you're new to this place, this is a good location to try, and if you're a regular, I could see why. The variety in rolls, appetizers, and nigiri would bring me back. However, for my taste, and the experience I had, I won't return.

I will tell you that the food was delicious and came out fast. We completed enjoyed everything we ordered. We made a reservation and walked right in. It's a very busy popular place. Now that being said.... The following day I had the worse food poisoning I had ever experienced. I almost had to stay in Vegas another night, because I was in no condition to travel. A few days later I found out that another member of our party experienced the very same thing.The only thing that both of us had eaten was the gyoza. We enjoyed our meal, but I will not go back!

Went on a Friday afternoon to meet up with friends. It was pretty busy so there was about a 20-30 minute wait time. Which was ok. Once it was our turn we went in and the music was really loud. I think it was too loud to the point where we had to raise our voices a bit to hear each other from across the table. Everyone else was doing this too... so it was loud. If your into more of a quite sit down then this it not the place. The food was good. We did the AYCE and food would come out promptly so I didn't feel like we really waited long in between orders.

I can confidently give them a 5 star being that we are regulars. This is are go to sushi restaurant. Food, service and atmosphere is great.

The sushi never disappoints here! Fast service and never a long wait for a party of 2 or less. We have sat at the bar the last few times and our waitress Diana was very polite and accommodating.

The sushi rolls are hot and cold as appropriate. The food comes out quick, the restaurant is clean and the staff is knowledgeable and friendly. I Will 100% come back!

I made a reservation for my daughters 11 birthday. There was a total of 10 of us, the restaurant was really full, how ever they got us sat down pretty fast... the server who sat us knew that we're here to celebrate a birthday , unfortunately she did not pass the message off to the other server... after rounds of all you could eat sushi we. We heard the happy birthday crew singing happy birthday to another family who sat down after us. By this time my wife spoke to the server about the crew singing happy birthday to our table and she mentioned that people lie a lot trying to get the discount and that we would need to provide prof ! However we did not come for the discount we came because my 11 year old loves sushi and she was attracted to the name gorilla sushi so we tried it! My family and i are really upset with the mis communication and also being accused of lying..... i booked this reservation on yelp! And will never do it again with this company ! Food was amazing, service was mis communicated and i feel was not handled well. A server did come apologize to my wife ! But again our celebration was for my daughter ...

This place has such great sushi and appetizers. We visited twice in a row! Expect to wait. Both times we visited we had over an hours long wait! The atmosphere is fast paced and very get in and get out vibe. I have no complaints and highly recommend a visit for the food solely! The service is quick. You'll get everything out fast. However, You're there to eat and leave. I wasn't too happy about that as my group enjoys food, drinks with a good conversation. Regardless, the food is a win therefore still recommend a visit!

Came in yesterday, the girl at the front was nice and the wait time was not too bad. We were a party of 4, but only brought 3 cups for the water pitcher. My friend and I decided to split a bottle of soju, she asked for 2 cups of ice after and she had to ask an additional 2 times to finally get it. We were also only given 3 sets of chopsticks, there seemed to be no communication between staff as two people brought out the same side of sauce my friend had asked for, not realizing the other had already brought it. After we were done eating we sat there for a long time waiting to ask for our check. After a while longer we asked another waiter that walked by if we could get our check and to go boxes and she said no we had to wait till our waiter came. We proceeded to wait another 15 minutes till our waiter came by. Overall the service was just bad and the food wasn't even that great. Disappointing.

Delicious sushi on a Saturday night! Sabrina was a great server and accommodating. Sat at the bar and the chefs were fun to watch! They didn't rush us like the last time... so that was a plus! Everything was nice and fresh!

Get your sushi fix with a reasonable all-you-ca-eat price. Most everything on the menu including dessert was included! Sushi can be ordered as a half roll or full. There are some Korean items as well like bulgogi, Korean fried chicken, and Korean pancakes. Staff were very responsive and friendly! The food was outstanding! Every dish was wonderfully presented and delicious.

FOOD POISONING!!! Typing this at 3 am. Sick as a dog. Sushi did not taste fresh when I had it. Now I know it was bad. Stomach cramping. Sweating. Just an overall terrible experience. Service was as bad as I have ever seen. Waitress seemed annoyed that she had to serve our large party. We were greeted by eye rolls as we sat down. Not sure exactly why. She order bombed our table. Fired everything all at once and we had too much for the table. At one point, we were just eating as fast as we could to try and keep up. This is just bad service. Was in the service industry for years and know to fire items in a sequence so that you do not overwhelm the table. nothing was announced as it was delivered. we had no idea what we were eating. we were all just shoveling food in our mouths to keep up. FOOD With all you can eat, you expect some things to he hit and miss. though here, some of the items were inedible. sushi was very fishy. had to spit out several pieces. some was dry and somewhat "hard". not sure how else to describe it. it just seemed old and stale. i will never come back to this establishment. the only thing i will say is that the price was reasonable at $30/ per person and about a quarter of the items were edible. completely underwhelmed at dinner with everything. i don't usually leave bad reviews. the only reason for this one is i am on the toilet sick and have been on the toilet for 45 minutes. EAT AT YOUR OWN RISK!

I'm so disappointed at this place for only having one place. But I'm so amazed on how their service is. They are college friendly and also it's kind of 20s vibes Like the early day. No to shabby or family like theme It's good on hang out, office lunch, meet up, and doing projects like. So if you like to hang out with your friends and love sushi definitely this is your spot. Btw they'll have KBBQ NEXT YEAR.

We've been coming here for a few years now and it is a must every time we are in Vegas, the food is consistently good, quality is great, staff is friendly and there's always a good vibe. Their version of the heart attack and spicy tuna crispy rice are my absolute favorites. We will definitely be back.

The first time we tried this restaurant i think its was only there soft opening! Vibe was great , music was good too not boring! Clean, and fast service no need to wait for too ling for food. And the most important they were not hurrying us around to finish eating!! We really took our time. Food was great and awesome portion was just right not too much you can actually finish it all and enjoy it. Soft tofu soup was the best!! We are a fan of soft tofu and this was the best. Steam egg not dry it was really a steam egg. Corn cheese is awesome too.. Beef brisket was taste good Also the marinated king pork kalbi was recommended. This place is boom hoping they stay the same as they started. Definitely will add this in favorite place.

Went in a large group of 10+ and split up between two tables. We called in advance to make a reservation and we were quickly accommodated for. The fish was a hit or miss. The salmon and mackerel nigiri was my favorite. But some were dry and others were fishy. Not bad for ayce though. I recommend you try a piece of each fish and order accordingly after round 1.

The server we had Monse was absolutely incredible, she went above and beyond, and was super friendly explaining the menu answering questions and extremely quick and speed of service. For our first time coming here, she was great and she represents what the company should be standing for in terms of training service members because she went above and beyond being extremely friendly and accommodating to all!! 10/10 would recommend all the food was amazing!! Pricing was great & affordable!!

So the wait was long but the food delicious as always. My favorite is the Korean Soup and the Korean Boulgogi. I miss them together to have an amazing soup.

AYCE sushi for $25 during their lunch special?! Can't beat that. Every time I visit Vegas, I make sure to visit this spot. So yummy!

This is my second time trying sushi in my life and TBH I loveddd it. The place was very lively, each time a person or group of people entered they give a big shout out!! Kinda cool ! Very organised and quick service by the our server Jessica. She was humble, very attentive and our orders came by so fast even with the huge crowd. I got all-you-can-eat menu and it's worth every penny! The variety of sushi is great. The fish/shrimp were so fresh and melt in the mouth texture. The sauces used were so delicious! Every item on the menu is exceptional and cooked to perfection. This is a great place for sushi lovers!!! I loved every dish we ordered especially Starbucks & Call 911. If you're an UNLV student, you get 10% off on your bill. Make sure to have your ID with you. And you also get free all-you-can-eat menu on your birthday with local ID. A dessert is included with the meal !!!! :)

Our 3rd visit here. I was crazing some yellowtail. Which I ate so fast I didn't snap a pic. It's a lively place, fast, friendly service. I enjoy the ceviche, it's peel and eat shrimp but just enough food so you don't get too full. I always like that there are 2 rolls without rice which I don't find everywhere. Tastes fresh and refreshing if that makes sense. Big tvs showing sports and what looks like a video game. The waiters wear uniforms based on squid games I think. I'm not too hip lol. Clean restaurant and they clear tables efficiently. They also have a punch card to earn a free AYCE and if you go on your birthday I think your meal is free.

I've been following Gorilla Sushi's Instagram account for YEARS and I finally got the chance to go! (I'm from Texas) I have to say, this place did not disappoint at all! This is the best AYCE sushi I've been to - from the appetizers to the nigiri, everything served was absolutely delicious. It's a cute restaurant great for midsize groups! The service was very friendly and it didn't take too long for the food to come out. Gorilla sushi has found the way to provide an all around great experience at a really fair price! There were a lot of things we ordered, but there wasn't a thing that I regretted ordering! They can do half rolls, which is amazing, so you can have the opportunity to drive a lot of rolls without eating too much of it.

Gorilla Sushi has a fun exciting vibe and delicious sushi! You'll find them on Tropicana and Spencer. This area is always busy and parking is limited, especially on Friday night and weekends. Inside is a lively atmosphere with awesome music. There's good seating for a booth and by the bar where there's TV and music entertainment. Love the lighting fixtures. On the first vist, I chose A La Carte and opted for King Kong Roll, Fried Gyoza, Baked Scallop Roll, and Corn Cheese, all are good! King Kong Roll (6 pieces, $10.95) is amazing! It's deep-fried sushi roll filled with shrimp tempura, spicy crab meat, cream cheese, served with a sweet delicious eel and yum yum sauce. Baked Scallop Roll ($10.95) is tasty! It has crabmeat, avocado, baked scallop, and eel sauce. Also tried dessert for Green Tea Ice Cream and Affogato, both delightful and not too sweet. On my second visit, I did AYCE Sushi (Dinner, $29.95) and requested again for King Kong Roll with Gyoza and Baked Scallop Roll, added California Roll, and Ultimate Shrimp Roll, all very delicious! Service from Angie and Anna is welcoming, attentive and friendly! Everyone in the staff is so nice and polite. Love the cool vibe and great sushi rolls!

This place was AMAZING. The music was slightly loud, but at least it was good music! The service was 12/10. We were promptly seated and before we were ever even able to run out of water it was always being refilled. I love sushi, and I find it hard to find fresh sushi places here in Vegas, I find most places to be mediocre, however, this place was truly amazing. The bulgogi was perfectly seasoned and moist. All of the sushi we tried was fresh, and the rice was warm and not to dry, not too wet. And wow the quality of fish here is truly some of the best in town. If you like sushi I highly recommend trying this place out! Worth the drive if you live across town like I do.

This place has definitely gotten better after a few years! They have a unique appetizer selection that differs from the copy-paste ayce menus elsewhere in Vegas, and they still carry all of the usual things. The fish is very fresh. I also love that they have a UNLV student discount, and you get free sushi on your birthday. Service is fine and standard, and the place usually pretty busy.

Came here after a rough traveling day. Needed to eat at 10:30 at night. And this place did not disappoint! The sushi was great and the ramen was really tasty! I mean come on, just look at the names of the sushi rolls! It was the perfect ending to a bad day. The staff was super friendly and very welcoming. And the best part, it was less than $50!! Highly recommend. Everything was perfect!!

Always a great experience going to gorilla! Very clean and nice interior. Everyone yells some random stuff when you come in, it even sure what it means the food is always on point. I got some rolls and some nigiri, it was all so good! Price point was good too. I went during lunch time and it never disappoints!

I'm a customer for 4 years, since a friend referred gorilla sushi we've been ordering for dinner and going whenever we can to dinner. They have a long time waiting line, probably 30-45 minutes but it's worth it. Food is very good, and the restaurant is nice! The servers and the ambiance are really good. I do recommend for anyone that likes sushi.

It was fun to discover this gem! I was craving some ramen and the spicy ramen truly delivered. The dining experience was enjoyable- the restaurant has a great layout that is very welcoming and easy going. The staff is very attentive and helpful as well. Would definitely go again! The creamy shrimp is delicious as well. Wish you could order extra!

This place although at times can be busy as hellllll is always fun Everyone is there n point and quick to serve, take orders, clear tables, offer advice on what to order. I always feel like family when we're there because they remember our cheerful azzes. We're regulars. One time we were having issues with our reservation and the manager recognized us and sat us anyway. Thank you to the chefs and the staff here we never leave unhappy. All the dishes are delicious, you can't make a mistake. Cooked/raw /baked /nigiri /apps, whatever. Definitely recommend a stop here. Top 10 in Vegas for shizzle. Much love Gorilla!

I've never had to speed run ayce sushi before. Gorilla was shotgunning the rolls and nigiri before the waitress left from taking our order! This is both great and not so great. The options are super plenty and for $29.99 dinner pricing (at the time of this review) the value is definitely there. The interior is mostly wooden booths arranged throughout and we decided to sit at the bar. With how fast they were making our food, it quickly became apparent that our usual style of ordering was a bad idea for how little space the bar grants us. Even though they were making our food super fast, the presentation was very good. Everything was super cleanly plated. The downsides though that really make or break a place is the rice ratio for me. They use the automatic roll rice machine that packs the rice onto the nori as well as too much rice for the nigiri. We got full really fast and I mean like one order and that was it. Also, this wasn't anything rude, but I personally don't like cream cheese in sushi. It's just another thing that helps fill you up fast. I should be able to ask to have it so they don't use it in any of the rolls I eat. Having to essentially lie and say it's a food allergy is unnecessary. Please don't make staff ask why a customer doesn't want something in their order. Just say ok or if it's policy that you don't do substitutions or whatever then just say that.

Best sushi in town. Fun place: music and staff are exciting and quick. I love the Ayce with the friends I go with. The cucumber salad is so good but allllll the rolls are so good.

I have been going there regularly. My friend from Columbia loves the place. She would uber there to eat by herself. On her birthday 15 of us went to celebrate and expected a free meal for her in her birthday. However they would not honor her Columbian ID and her local Unlv student ID. Now they have lost 15 customers.

Probably my favorite sushi place in the valley. Reasonably priced, great food, and laid back atmosphere. I love the video/music selections and the service is fantastic! They also deliver for those times I don't feel like leaving the house. Definitely recommend!!

Food was ok. Unsure if the waitresses were having an off day but their attitudes were not pleasant when asking for things. They charge for lemon... yes that's what I said. They CHARGE for lemon lol. I have been to many AYCE sushi spots in Vegas and have never had to pay for lemon wedges. And you only get 1/4 of the lemon (4 thin slices). Also be prepared for the 90 minute timer, they say it starts when you sit down but we waited for the waitress and food for 6-10 mins so hoping they take that into account. Not my fave sushi spot food wise but they're not the worst.
