We celebrated our anniversary at Gorji's. It is a very intimate atmosphere for one seating per night. You can either have a 3 or 4 course meal. Wine and Drinks are available separately. We had a lovely meal served in classic chef style. There are usually 3-4 options per appetizer, salad, entree and dessert. We ordered differently so we could share all the wonderful tastes. This is an adult only experience. Parking is right outside the restaurant. It is a wonderful experience with the most friendly staff and well worth the cost. It was divine!

This was by far the best dining experience I've had in awhile. Chef Gorji was truly amazing. From his exceptional customer service leading up to the time you enter the restaurant, until you sit down to eat, his great touches to detail and truly understanding the art of the customer experience really transformed my overall experience here. I was in Dallas for the weekend and eating his delectable food made my time here that much more enjoyable! As it's a pre-fixed menu, the items change weekly so when you're eating this delicious food, it's a one of a kind experience. After arriving on-site, I was greeted and sat down immediately and was given a spiked apple cider to start the evening! His attention to detail while explaining the opening drink was remarkable. After reviewing the menu for this evening, I decided on escargot, a salad with pears in a pomegranate dressing and venison with grilled vegetables and gnocchi. Each plate of food was beautifully presented and all dishes cooked to perfection! All telling a story while each had the perfect flavor profile built in. That gnocchi was truly divine and super pillowy. It might have been the best gnocchi I've had in my life! The grilled vegetables were perfectly grilled and charred and complimented that venison well. That meat was the perfect medium rare and all components in that dish paired beautifully. Now I was stuffed, but the waiter convinced me to have dessert so I decided to try the vanilla ice cream with persimmons, blackberries, rose petals and sesame seeds. Upon first taste, it was truly refreshing on the palette. Between the crunch and sweetness in every bite, it was a perfect ending to my meal. Between the outstanding customer service, knowledge of all wines and food being served, you are in good hands here for a stellar meal. If you're unsure about any item, great recommendations will be suggested to satisfy your palette. Very accommodating, which will make for a memorable evening. When back in Dallas, I will definitely be stopping in again to try the new whimsical items on the menu!

Perfect location for a date night or to celebrate an anniversary. The food is delicious and the service was excellent. Coach Gorji made sure all the food he prepared was of our liking. We are definitely going back!

We went for our anniversary and it was amazing. The food was delicious. The ingredients were great quality like my melon salad had so much flavor and you could taste each of the ingredients- melon, prosciutto and arugula. They recommended a wine that went very well with our food and our waiter was funny and professional, he was there when you needed him but not crowding you. It was a great experience all around. We’ll definitely be back.

My husband and I felt special celebrating our anniversary at Gorji. The menu has two prices…with or without dessert. Wine, champagne, and beer are available for a price.

Amazing food and experience! My fiancé took me to Gorgi’s for a romantic birthday dinner and I loved every moment and bite!

Google
I've been wanting to try Gorji ever since moving to Dallas about a year ago. I'm sure the takeout menu is phenomenal but I like to see plating, the chef, etc. so I never ordered. I'm glad I finally got a table tonight, I couldn't of been more happy. Every dish I ordered was well thought out and executed to perfection. The only drawback is the price, which in all honestly isn't that bad but is still very high-end. For me this is a once a year type environment and I'd recommend the same mindset to anyone asking.

We tried Gorji for the first time to celebrate our anniversary. This place is small and quaint and offers an exceptional level of service. The chef Gorji personally brings the entrees to you and also checks in to see how the food tastes. The prices are very reasonable for the 3 or 4 course dining experience. The wine selection is quite varied and the champagne was delicious! Every course was spot on for presentation, taste and quantity. We were not disappointed with any aspect of our evening. They have a no tipping policy and only five tables so that you have an amazing experience. James, the waiter delivered exceptional customer service as well. Lastly, Gorji gave us an option of sauces to select as a parting gift. We tried it today and the Arrabiata Diavolo was spicy and delicious. I can't believe that I have been in the area for many years and have not had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant. Please give this restaurant a try, you will not be disappointed.

Yelp
My husband and I have been meaning to eat at Gorji's after hearing about it through many avenues over the years, and we had a blast last month trying it for a late Valentine's Day dinner the Friday night after V-Day. The interior is super intimate, only 6 tables for the evening, and you're really being catered to and cooked for individually throughout the night. Also love that the restaurant has specific parking spots reserved, as this area always gets super packed at peak hours. We arrived slightly early before our reservation but were kindly seated immediately to enjoy grilled sourdough with dipping olive oil. The olive oil was itself magnificent, and came with parm as well as something citrus-y, maybe lemon. I never want to eat bread any other way! The house server also came around and recommend Marco Bonfante moscato d'asci when I requested a sweeter wine, which I loved. All the food we ate was incredible, but I do want to mention a couple of dishes that stood out the most. The first course catfish was truly amazing. Perfectly pan-fried, perfectly seasoned, on a bed of lemony arugula that complimented the savory flavors of the fish so well. Definitely understand why this is a regular on the prix fixe menus. The caesar salad was also incredible. Love the dressing and the inclusion of whole anchovies for you to enjoy with the salad. Chef Gorji truly has a way with the grill. The bone-in pork chop was honestly the best pork chop I've ever had in my life -- cooked to perfection, so tender and so flavorful and so moist, with amazing char on the outside. And it was also such a generous portion! The vodka sauce and gnocchi and langoustine provided a lovely balance to the plate, but the star of the show was truly the pork chop. We both loved it. The tenderloin with gnocchi gorgonzola was also excellent, and cooked perfectly medium rare as well. Both desserts we tried were unique and very good. Loved the tart savory sweet balance of the kefir cheese with medjool dates, and the vanilla ice cream went phenomenally well with drizzled dessert wine, tart mulberries, and crunchy pistachios. Also really love that this establishment is tip free, so you know exactly what you're paying from the beginning. My husband and I had a great time and would love to come back for more special occasions in the future!

Yelp
First if all I was shocked reading the 1 star reviews. It's, true, they don't seat kids. I, for one can appreciate that. He only seats 5 tables each night. So the person who said it was too loud in there, can't blame the Gorji. That was on your fellow diners. We've been here several times. This is a special date night place we recommend ALL the time. We've brought friends and family, We've never been disappointed. Never been treated rudely and we certainly never judged the combinations of ingredients. We've tried things we would have never tried elsewhere because we knew it would be cooked perfectly. Anchovies come to mind. Fresh anchovies. He travels daily to get the freshest ingredients for that days menu. If you have an issue with the service remember that everyone has a bad day. If it seems to be more, you should probably look inwards is my thought. 10/10 highly recommend.

Angela R.

Yelp
Always fantastic. We feel like we are in Italy again! Love the food. Love the place. Gorji is a top notch chef! He is always on site and ready to make you what you want. Worth making a reservation, super quaint only 5 tables.

Kartik K.

Yelp
Chef Gorji has been the star in Dallas for decades. If you are new to Dallas and would like to have a taste of what Dallas was before the mushrooming growth, you should take the time to make a reservation at Gorji's. Chef has a set menu based on the ingredients he gets that day for it a private dinining experience. The restaurant use to be a all dining restaurant in earlier years and was called Canary by Gorji. The style is Mediterranean. Chef Gorji ha won awards for the best steak in Dallas many times. Beef Filet Mignon, Grilled Octopus, Medjool Date Butterfly, Gorgonzola Gnocchi are some of the regular favorites. Chef is also known for his sauces and can be bought online or at the restaurant. Also available on his website is the take out menu options. There is a wide selection of whites and red to pair with the three or four course menu that you may select. Chef has vegetarian options for each course and they are also good. The restaurant has reserved parking spots for its patrons on the eastside. If you enjoy private dining then this one is for you. It's strictly NO TIP restaurant so if you like it then eat and be the repeat guest.

David L.

Yelp
Went here for a date night as I had read about it in a magazine as a nice intimate setting with good food. Service: It's definitely small and quaint! Can't beat it as it's only like 6 or so tables a night! Also no worry about tipping as it's all built into the price of the meal. Food: Good but it's one of those "fancy" places so expect smaller plates. Everything had great tasting ingredients and was prepared well, but in a homey way still. Only gave it 4 stars as I expected a bit more for the price.

Michael C.

Yelp
With only 5-7 tables in the dining room, cuisine prepared by a creative and daring master chef, and a professional waiter who actually serves from the left and removes from the right (what a concept!), Gorji is close to a one-of-a-kind dining experience. Expensive, yes, but the no-tipping policy reduces the pressure on your wallet down to that of dining in almost any other up-up-upscale restaurant. The duck breast was the best I've ever had, and my wife enjoyed the sea bass, which was prepared and presented in a manner neither of us have seen before. We wouldn't mind at all if Chef Gorji mandated upscale dress for his diners, in keeping with his upscale restaurant. But sadly, those days are nearly gone. Few people "dress for dinner" anymore, though the Gorji experience certainly deserves it.

Malu E.

Yelp
This was such a great experience. Wonderful food and great atmosphere. I loved the no tipping and pre fixe menu (so that we didn't go above our budget). Very reasonable prices for such amazing food.

Latisha B.

Yelp
Reservation only. Boutique establishment, five tables and four spaces. Charges you full meal price even if you cannot any of the menu and thus do not order. They do warn about their cancelation "deposit" like policy.

Mel A.

Yelp
Was invited here on my birthday by my wonderful partner and joined by friends, and it was a great choice. The food was delicious, flavorful, fresh, and interesting. The chef came by a few times and personally served us, explaining the dishes. It was a quiet, intimate setting. I'd highly recommend a visit if you want something unique. Note -- they do not take walk-ins.

Bruce Z.

Yelp
We have had wonderful meals here on several occasions in the past. This was our first time taking out and it was spectacular.

Jeff P.

Yelp
What a great meal and a great evening. Wonderful food, and considering this is a no-tipping restaurant, the fixed price is a bargain for four courses. Tenderloin, catfish, snapper, venison, vegetables, and ice cream were all excellent. Only five tables. Reserved parking out front (move an orange cone).

Misti C.

Yelp
Expensive but so intimate. Perfect for a couples date night or for us a quiet dinner for 4 where can enjoy conversation. Food was excellent and chef driven! Service is great. Highly recommend! We will be back. Treat yourself!

Bharat R.

Yelp
Great food. It is tough to get reservations but its worth it. If you are tired of going to main stream date night restaurents and want a cue rated experience try this.

Frank G.

Yelp
A true fine dining experience. Only five tables, reservations only, no televisions and a great relaxing atmosphere. One of the best fine dining restaurants not only in Dallas but all of Texas. Weekly changing menu with great service and a wide variety of excellent wines. Great interaction with the chef/owner too.

Dr. Lisa M.

Yelp
I am indeed a foodie and very picky about restaurants in the DFW area. However, Chef Gorji met my high standards with foods that were amazingly prepared. You can't go wrong with whatever you order but the Sea Bass and Vegetarian Lasagna had me wanting more. The grill vegetables were so well prepared I was left shocked by the seasoning he used. He is also a very humble and kind man and that is an extra bonus. If you want good food in Dallas look no further go to Gorji Restaurant and enjoy good food. Dr. Lisa

Rehan R.

Yelp
Great ambiance - no tvs, limited seating, you are the only one who will be served on that table for the night, so no rush. Amazing food - everything came out amazing, from the fish to the steak. The chef came out after every course to make sure the food was good. Food is seasonal - so menu is constantly changing. You do need to make reservations. Definitely a place I will be going back too.

Molly M.

Yelp
This was probably the best meal I've had in the DFW area in terms of food + ambiance + service all taken into consideration. I took my husband here for our 7th wedding anniversary. I was surprised I got us in because I didn't call until 2 days before but the owner was very kind and accommodating. The place is very small and only has 5 tables. We were the third table to arrive but the place had filled by the time we were finishing. One thing I love about this place is that they have a no tipping policy. That means the prices are a little higher, but you truly do get what you pay for. We were presented with a seasonal table d'hôte menu that offered a few options for each course. My first course might have been my favorite: a whole sardine served with greens and a spicy remoulade and cucumber tomato salad. The sardine was crispy with just the right salt level and that salad was magic. The remoulade really was spicy, too, but everything was well-balanced. For the salad course I ordered a hearts of palm salad while my husband got a panzanella. Both were delicious. I hate overdressed salads so I was so happy to see how light and carefully dressed my salad course was. For the main courses they had New Zealand venison in two ways (both were surf and turf dishes) on the menu and we decided to give it a try. My husband got loin medallions over gnocchi with shrimp and I got a tenderloin that was served with langoustines and a Gorgonzola sauce. Okay, so I wasn't sure about combining seafood with Gorgonzola, and I wasn't sure about pairing venison with seafood, but I was happy to be proven incorrect. The sauce was, indeed, a little rich and strong so I didn't use all of it but it was still a really nice pairing with the venison. The venison, in addition, was perfectly cooked. I added a cross section picture so you can see just how perfect. The vegetables that accompanied our meal were vibrant and seasonal and delicious. My only regret is I couldn't quite finish everything because I was too full. For drinks we shared a bottle of wine (the selection is excellent, by the way) and instead of doing a dessert we opted for a glass of 40-year-old tawny port. It was delicious. After dinner service, the owner, who cooks everything himself with only one sous chef in the kitchen, came and talked with us for a good 15 minutes and he could not have been more delightful. In addition, our server was attentive and polite without ever hovering. The best part was because they only take 5 reservations a night, we never felt rushed because the staff said no one else was coming in so we could be there as long as we wanted. Our reservation was at 6:30 and we were there for over 2 hours enjoying ourselves. All-in-all, I would highly recommend this place to anyone

Emilka Y.

Yelp
We have been going to Gorji's for many years and is absolutely one of our favorite restaurants. His attention to detail combined with his immense knowledge of how to use different flavors is unmatched! We have our anniversary dinner here every year and will continue to for years to come.

Ericka T.

Yelp
First of many visits to come. The food was amazing and the service was phenomenal. Nice intimate environment. The chef is very personable with each guest.

Marianne D.

Yelp
A unique experience, but probably won't return. Highlights were the the chef checking on the table after each course and the desserts. My guests and I agreed that we overpaid for the quality and lack of creativity of the food. Felt very at home here, but expectations fell flat for $130/person.

Apryl S.

Yelp
If I could give more stars I would! This is hands down mine and my husband's FAVORITE restaurant. The food is always spectacular and made with enthusiasm and love. The Chef is truly a legend in my book. Everything he touches and recommends is always spot on. Specialty wines and mouth water food is what you'll get. My favorite meal or as I would call it "my last meal request" is the lamb and quail, ending the night with the kefir and date dessert. Whatever you get here you will not be disappointed. It's a small restaurant, so make sure to plan ahead and make reservations. We love this because it adds to the experience and you always know your meal Is made just for you. I'm hesitant to tell everyone about this place but yet I want to tell everyone because it's just that good. Go if you love amazing quality food... you won't be disappointed.

Nat S.

Yelp
Absolutely adored this place! Staff was very attentive and made great recommendations. The Shakshuka was perfect. The wine selection is great! Reservation is a must, and I'll definitely be a regular here!

Barbara B.

Yelp
I had the most amazing Mother's Day dinner last evening. To start with, the greeting is always so warm and welcoming. I started my dinner with the venison. It was perfectly cooked and amazingly juicy with a "to die for" cognac sauce. Next I had the lamb and quail. Both meats were delicious. To my pleasant surprise, the quail was mostly deboned , with the exception of the legs and wings. This made eating the delicious little bird easy! As always, the grilled veggies added a nice touch. My friend and I wanted a little time to finish our glass of wine before dessert and this request was gladly accommodated because the table is yours for the evening. Year after year, this continues to be my very favorite restaurant for the warmth, the service, the interesting wine selections and food quality.

John M.

Yelp
Let us start with the ambiance, this restaurant is intimate and charming. You must have reservations. We were there on a weekday and had a wonderful time. They keep the seating to 5 tables that allowed for very personalized service. Between the waiter and the owner we were impressed by the quality of service. Now the best part. THE FOOD! Every course was spectacular and so flavorful. The catfish appetizer could have been an entree and we would have considered our meal out of the world. My wife had the New Zealand venison and I had the top sirloin. Both were fantastic! We recommend this establishment to anyone.

Cd J.

Yelp
Gorji is one of our favorites! He is the ultimate expert chef and host. His wine list always has wonderful surprises that expand our cultural experiences. He provides a nice, quiet atmosphere to savor the evening. We make a point of visiting each time we return to Dallas. What a treasure!

Brent W.

Yelp
Best food in Dallas! Spectacular experience. I can't wait to go again. No words to explain. Just go!

Angela S.

Yelp
After years of curiosity, we finally made it to Gorji Restaurant last night and it did not disappoint! Most importantly, everything we ordered was cooked to the perfect temperature. The flavors and seasonings were spot on. With only a handful of tables, service is extremely personalized and the environment is very warm and welcoming. Gorgi was so kind to help us rearrange our reservation when I got sick on the original date and greeted us by name when we arrived. His passion for food is really what drives this place to success. We will be back! Oh! I almost forgot! Order a cup of coffee. Just do it.

Laticia R.

Yelp
From reserved parking to a secluded dining, This was definitely an experience. The food was good food. The same comfort food that you would have in home, Chef Gorji brings to life and makes upscale. Scheduling felt very fancy but classic. You must call to make a reservation as they only seat 5 tables a night. They menu changes weekly and he offers a choice of 3 or 4 course meals. Lastly this is a no tipping restaurant as it is included in the meal price. There is not a up charge for s

Lacey L.

Yelp
Just okay. Very overpriced. Selling a $19.99 wine bottle for $76. Presentation was nothing special.

Helen G.

Yelp
We were in town for the weekend and called the restaurant 2 days before to see if they have availability. They just happened to have a last minute cancellation so we took the last table for the night. This is a small restaurant, basically staffed by the chef/owner and one server. There are only 5 tables and nicely spaced for social distancing. We 3 had the 4 course meal and I have to say, it was one of the best meals I've had for quite a while. Appetizer, salad, entree and dessert were all outstanding with great service. The chef came out after each dish was served and personally made sure that the food was to our satisfaction. They were and we appreciated the attention to service and customers. Quail appetizer, Campari tomatoes, venison with gnocchi and the kefir cheese with date dessert were all standouts! They change their menu weekly so next time we are in town, we will return.... Can't wait.

Carlie M.

Yelp
Chef made us a special meal since open table mistakenly let me make a reservation when he was doing a prix fix night. Personal service was so special. Paella hit the spot - I've been wanting to try it for YEARS and it did not disappoint. Roasted veggies were perfection. We'll be going back for sea bass.

Heather T.

Yelp
Chef Gorji and his staff exemplify fine dining at its best. Chef ensures that each reservation (made over the phone) is personally confirmed. He shops for the all the local groceries for his guests, never turns the table (it's yours for the whole evening) and speaks with you at the table to ensure each dish is made to your liking. This date night gem has become our location for birthday parties and our most recent company holiday party. Yes, you can rent the whole venue out and enjoy the restaurant with all your closest friends!!! Chef's gnocchi, pork chop and grilled and chilled avocado topped with his Arrabiata sauce are some of my favorites. I always get the grilled octopus anytime its available. Cheers!

Sarah S.

Yelp
Chef Gorji is amazing! You can tell he takes so much pride in his work and truly loves what he does. His passion and love for food shines through your entire experience. I recommend his restaurant to everyone who ever goes to Dallas. There's nothing like it!!

Ahana S.

Yelp
Very small and quint establishment (and might I add a tad hard to find but that's likely my own fault ) So let me start by saying this place is very small--20-25 seater opacity small so I think it's safe to say not for large groups (though I imagine you could get a very ahead of time reservation for a medium sized group). They have very attentive servers who are helpful and pleasant. They also have a nice wine selection, larger than I would expect from such a small place. The food here is exceptional! Everything from the seafood (scallops, escargot, shrimp) which were mega fresh, to the tasty lamb and amazingly juicy pork chop (which I think is hard to accomplish), I loved everything I have tried here. I especially loved that the flavors are balanced with decidedly Mediterranean flavors but in cool and freshly inventive ways. I will say that their famous red sauce, though very light and fresh, is not as flavorful as I would have expected. The one negative think I can possibly say is that given the small size and limited servers, sometimes the wait can get little long. Overall, amazing experience!

Ahad D.

Yelp
Wow, wow, wow!!! What a pleasant surprise, I walked in thinking it would be a place with the usual hummus and kebabs. Turns out it is a true fusion of norther, eastern, southern and western Mediterranean flavor by a classically trained chef. His talent and skill was somewhat evident in the menu, but then Chef Giorgi came to greet us in person, told us his personal and culinary story. After that, he discussed all the flavor profiles, gluten free options and ensured we had first class service. This is a hidden gem inside of a usual Addison strip plaza. The hipsters can hit the chain spots, but serious foodies have a real destination. Shame on you D magazine! Dallas needs to know about chef owned joints with world class flavor. This place should be in their top 10 each month.

Katelynn W.

Yelp
We did the Valentine's prefix to go, and it was FANTASTIC! The food was fantastic. To go can be a little hit or miss, but it had been well cooked and packaged. Also, I love asparagus but it is easily over/undercooked, and it was absolute perfection. As far as Covid safety goes, everything was safely packaged and handed off. Highly, highly recommend. Cannot wait to get dinner here again!

Paley W.

Yelp
Certainly one of the more exclusive and personal experience I've dined at in a long time. To get a table it is highly recommend that you make a reservation. The restaurant only serves eight tables a night. The chef does everything there and you'll feel very connected to the restaurant and the food you will eat. I ordered the prime beef tenderloin and it just melts in my mouth. I will definitely return with my family in the future.

Vanessa L.

Yelp
I had a great experience here. I love that it's a small restaurant. We got a more personalized experience with the chef/owner. Chef Gorji was very friendly and accommodating. He paid attention to every detail. Everything tasted great. I would highly recommend this restaurant. Definitely one of my favorites in DFW.

Karen Z.

Yelp
Gorji is so endearing! I booked the restaurant for a 4 person work dinner and it was perfect. The restaurant is spacious, quiet, and relaxed. I'd usually review each dish individually, but everything was excellent -- and to stay true to Gorji's answer to "what should we order here?", order whatever draws your attention :-) I have no doubt you'll enjoy it.

Kristie G.

Yelp
In a nut shell this is an amazing place to have a romantic date night. It's a genuine treat and we are already planning to return with friends. NOTE: You must make reservations and he is only open 4 hours a night. So make sure you call him to plan for that. First off we learned the Gorji has been here for many years, hidden in plain sight. I drive by on a regular and never knew he was here. There are about 10 tables and he does not like to seat people next to one another so he will never have more than 4 tables seated at one time. He does not allow children in the restaurant as he wants this to be a place of experience for the adult palette. The chef himself comes out at each course to ensure you are enjoying what he has prepared. It's the perfect place to feel pampered and special. I can't say enough good things. There is nothing I can see that would need to be improved, thus the 5 star rating. (people that would judge down for rules that are understood up front [ie: children], have no valid point.) Gorji himself travels 100 miles EACH DAY to get the produce and meats for the days menu. He has items that stay on the regular menu, but the "Special of the Day" depends on what he deemed perfect for the meal. Of course we chose this option. This is a three course meal that you can choose form two options. An app, a side and a main course. We decided to get one of each so we got to try all six items offered. Because the menu changes daily on the special it would not be really beneficial to detail what we had however let me tell you I tried things (fresh anchovies) that I never would have tried anywhere else. The combination of things on the plate would have never been in my dreams to combine together but the flavors of all 5 things was absolutely breathtaking. You will not be disappointed I guarantee.

Yelp
I wish I could rate Gorji Restaurant beyond 5 stars. My experience was absolutely phenomenal. Chef Gorji personally waits on you and delves in detail the specifics of the menu, alongside off-menu features. I chose his featured three-course meal of the evening. I don't want to quote what the dishes were, because I know I wouldn't do it justice trying to describe...but each dish somehow was better than the last. Another aspect I truly loved, is that Chef Gorji prides himself alongside his restaurant in using ingredients that benefit the health of the consumer. Such as, all natural -- no hormone or antibiotic beef. These "small" yet so large details are often overlooked in generic steakhouses. The attention to details as such will make me a returning guest -- not to mention the impeccable service I received from Chef Gorji. Do keep in mind this restaurant is very intimate in size (7 tables), so be mindful of committing to your set reservation. This man is too kind and generous to handle (non-emergency) cancellations-- as he is preparing for your arrival 30 minutes prior, as he was doing for me. I cannot wait for my next visit. Thank you for such a memorable experience.

Yelp
Attended a wine tasting dinner on Nov 30, 2021, with my husband and another couple. We were all extremely disappointed with the whole experience. The atmosphere in the restaurant was terribly noisy, we could barely hear ourselves talking. However, the food offered was quite disappointing. There was no appetizer offered, only three pieces of meat, two on a piece of hard toast, and the third piece of meat with a few morsels of gnocchi. No salad, no other sides. To say a bit more about the meats, they were terribly undercooked, and when my husband finally asked Gorji if the third piece of meat could be cooked a bit more, he acted somewhat irritated. When the server finally did bring out the third piece of meat, he put the plate with the portions on the table and said, "special order." I guess Gorji doesn't know that not everyone likes RAW meat! The used wine glasses from the previous course were never removed, and at one point, the sommelier poured me a second taste of the Spanish wine in the glass that had had the French wine in it. This shouldn't have happened! And the dinner plates should have been replaced also as it was disgusting to look at the dirty plate from the previous course. And of course, there was no dessert offered. What a terrible "wine tasting dinner" this was...three wines with three chunks of undercooked meat. This was the WORST wine dinner we have ever attended, and I'm so sorry we invited friends to come with us. Definitely NOT worth what we paid. We have no intention of returning to Gorji's restaurant again for any occasion, nor will we recommend this restaurant to any of our friends. Would NOT recommend!

Yelp
Absolutely AMAZING!! Definitely an ACTUAL five star food and service experience. The owner serves you himself and doesn't accept tips. So buy a little more expensive wine to hook him up! DELICIOUS FOOD! A true five star dining experience in an intimate setting!!

Yelp
Gorji's is pickup only right now due to COVID. We had the NYE special menu and it was delicious! It was perfectly fresh and did not taste like takeout at all. Especially loved the venison tenderloin over chilled avocado which melted in the mouth.

Yelp
First, this is a limited seating restaurant with about ~10 tables, so it is recommended you make a reservation...don't think they take walk-ins. Parking can be a chore with the AMC movie theater around the corner and other restaurants. I recommend you get the complementary Lonestar valet parking just around the corner. I came here with my wife on a dinner date. We've always wanted to come here. We had our reservations and were welcomed warmly by a super nice waiter called Lawrence. There were only two other tables that had guests, the rest were empty. Our waiter Lawrence was impressive as he went through the menu items like a pro. He knew everything that was being offered and recommendations from popular items like the back of his hand! I ordered the special 3 course $53 special and wife ordered the $34 Paella with pulled rabbit, spanish chorizo, mussels & shrimp with saffron white wine rice. Before you get your appetizers, you'll be given a Palate cleanser in a small glass made of champagne and sangria. We ordered the White wine - Broadbent vinho verde,2012 portugal wine. $8 and the red wine - Mayol 2012 (Priorat, Spain) $15. For appetizers, wife got the mussels which were large compared to other places we've had them. I got the special 3 course meal appetizer which was a pizza with spear fish. This is in chef Gorgi's special cookbook menu and it was DELICIOUS! I also got the Salad (spinach) with strawberry. From chef Gorgi's cookbook when you order the three course meal. This was yummy! For the entree from the 3 course special, I was served the Colorado Lamb T-Bone & Grilled Quail with tabbouleh and tzatziki which was fantastic! We got the Four Berry Sorbet dessert which was fabulous! Chef Gorji also came by to say hello and check on us. He also said goodbye to us when we left. We'll definitely come back!

Yelp
AH-mazing... This restaurant has 9 4-tops. Don't let its small setting fool you. The Lilliputian atmosphere allows for very individualized and attentive service. The waiter, the sommelier, and the chef all guided us through our dining experience. The wine was excellent, the food was exquisite, and the service was extraordinary. Also, when they say "no tipping" they mean it. (We tried.) We will return!!

Yelp
This is a truly special restaurant. My husband and I have had the pleasure of visiting Canary by Gorji four times, and it has now become our go-to restaurant for special occasions and romantic evenings. This restaurant is a small establishment, with a maximum occupancy of maybe 20 people at any given time. It is a dinner-only restaurant, with the decor indicating it is for customers who want an intimate and delicious dining experience. Monsieur Gorji treats his restaurant like his art project. He is present at all times, always touching every customer's meal or experience in some way. Gorji has a very interesting life story and is willing to share it with his customers who are curious about it. His life makes its way into every one of his culinary creations. For example, we dined there last night and one of the dishes had a special ingredient from his wife's hometown. He draws culinary inspiration from multiple cultures in the North, South, and East of the Mediterranean Sea. Somehow, this inventive culinary genius ended up in Dallas, Texas. You must go to Canary by Gorji to experience this! Gorji always has a special menu in addition to the main menu. The special menu usually has 3-, 2- and 1-course prices. The main menu contains some of the best tasting and perfectly cooked steak I've had in the United States. Every dish I have had - whether on the main menu or the special menu for the day - has been nothing short of delightful and memorable, leaving me desiring more! The wine list is also spectacular. It is a short wine list but Gorji has a story for every bottle on the menu. Come here if you are in the Dallas area and looking to treat yourself for an evening. But know that once you discover this restaurant you will want to keep coming back to it. My husband and I have been in the Dallas area for several years now and, while upset we took so long to discover Canary by Gorji, we are also kind of happy because it ain't cheap. But it is so worth it. Last few notes on Canary by Gorji: - This is a no-tip restaurant. Gorji means it when he says no tipping. - I recommend that you subscribe to the mailing list to learn about discounts and specials. - Gorji supposedly hosts a cooking class once in awhile. You'll need to be subscribed to the mailing list for this. I will definitely be signing up for the next one. - Gorji also has a line of pasta sauces that he sells in Whole Foods as well as in his restaurant. They are so good to bring home. 10/10.

Yelp
We have been to Gorji's before Covid shut everything down and it is definitely our favorite place in Dallas. We were extremely pleased to be able to go again and honored to be his first guests after he reopened. As far as upscale dining goes it is one of the best I have experienced anywhere. The food is always the highest quality and there are always unique offering with the freshest ingredients. I would highly recommend Gorji's if you want a great experience or if you want to treat clients or anyone to a fabulous intimate dinner.

Yelp
Amazingly quaint dining experience. Small location with limited but delicious menu. We shared the Mediterranean appetizer; hearty portions of perfection. I got the wedge salad and the gnocchi with grilled shrimp. The flavors were phenomenal! We finished sharing the flourless chocolate torte and apple ice wine. The meal and service were superb. I would travel back to Dallas to eat here! You must go!
