I had been trying to come & try their food for a while. I have always tried to come & support my own people! So this one was on my list to come & have their yummy food . I heard good things about it. Finally on a rainy gloomy day I was able to come. Very cute, cozy & welcoming place. Customer service was great & ok point. I didn't realize they serve pork , it was my bad. So I didn't wanna take chance & end up ordering a vegetarian item. Cauliflower was yummy, tried the gulab jamun. It was good, but didn't appreciate the price for three little gulab jamun! 2$ a piece for this small jamun, I know my desi dessert & the price should be lower. Cauliflower price was high too but I can live with that . Thank you for the hospitality!

Look man, I really wanted to gate-keep this one, but seriously people need to know about this spot. Not only some of the best Nepalese food I’ve ever had but in the ranks of top meals for me. Can’t say much more than every dish we ordered here slapped. The MoMo’s were so good the broth was incredible and the order delivers like 8 dumplings. I can’t remember the name of this noodle dish but it was also amazing. I finished everything we ordered at this spot because I couldn’t stop myself. Well done Gorkhali!

Highly recommend this restaurant. We went for dinner on a Saturday and were so impressed. Our waiter helped us by making some recommendations on what to order which was very appreciated. We got the boneless chicken thali, goat curry, pork thukpa, and samosa. The veg curry and dal that came with the thali were outstanding, as were the samosas and goat curry. The soup was also good - my favorite part was the noodles which were thick and perfectly chewy. We also got a mango lassi which was great. Also, the thali comes with refills which we definitely took advantage of. The staff here is so kind and friendly. The food is amazing. And the prices are pretty insanely reasonable - our meal (which made us extremely full - even with taking home half of the soup) with a giant beer came to $73 + tip. Definitely check this place out!

Great to have some solid momos in the area! Came on a Saturday night and we sat down right away. The servers were very friendly and took the time to explain each part of the Thali we got. Food: - veg thali (4/5) - this is definitely a good bang for your buck, given that you can ask for refills. My favorite was the pea dish. - veg jhol mojos (4.5/5) - nice deep flavor, the momos were solid. I’d be curious to try the chili ones and the fried ones next time. - mango lassi (5/5) - everything you want mango lassi to be. The vibe was pretty causal and they have a few tables for sit down

The food here was fantastic—flavorful and authentic! All our foods were perfectly prepared, and the staff were warm and attentive. The cozy atmosphere made for a wonderful dining experience. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone craving delicious Nepalese cuisine. Will definitely return!

Lovely little place with tight lunch deals. The portions of Naan and rice were a little small but we ended up not being charged for an extra rice portion so🔥

Fantastic and authentic Nepalese foods available here. Staff ms are very friendly and service is undoubtedly great. Foods are amazing. I am from Nepal so I was very happy to have same taste of food like my home country’s dishes. Great place to be and great people to be around with fantastic food.

The food does not miss! This was my first time having Nepalese food in New York and was very pleased with the mix of flavors and service. I came for dinner on a Friday evening. A few great things about this place (1) the place is byob which can be great with friends or date night (2) very reasonably priced food for dinner (3) flavor profile is 👌🏾. Good options for meat and vegetarians

Fantastic authentic Nepalese cuisine. We have a delicious meal. Best momos I've ever had.

The momo wrappers had that really nice texture of being not too chewy and not too papery. The jhol momo delivers the momos swimming in a delicious soup/broth that really adds a lot to each bite. The chili chicken was cooked very well with juicy chicken but I personally prefer mine slightly crisper than these or with the flavors better marinated into the chicken. The peanut sauce and hot sauce that came with everything were great complements for every dish. Everything was delicious and we left completely stuffed. Next time I want to try one of the thalis. We sat at the two stools at the counter until a two top opened up. The staff were incredibly hospitable and gave us a free chai pretty much immediately. The restaurant is not that large and the decoration is unremarkable but neat, clean, and cute. A great spot to reserve for a group ahead of time or to grab a meal with a friend. What a cozy little spot! Small and you can really feel the customer attention here. Loved the cauliflower appetizer and the pork dumplings. Really can't go wrong with anything you have here especially if it's your first time trying this type of food don't be intimidated! THE DUMPLINGS ARE SO GOOD! Thank you for having us!

I ordered to go for the samosas and the beef dumplings. The sauces were flavorful and the dumplings were so juicy. Also the person working the counter was very nice.

Small shop but very authentic experience. Please get the chili momos and the sukuti thali. So delicious.

I just returned from Sikkim a week ago, and I feel privileged to be able to walk 2 blocks from my apartment, have some of the best momos in the city, and pretend that I'm staring out at a narrow lane in Gangtok. The veg momos here are indeed outstanding. The peanut-y jhol momo soup is super flavorful, and when paired with the chili chutney on the side, is the perfect warming soup on a winter day. There are a few other Nepalese/momo competitors in Brooklyn, but as far as I'm concerned, this is by far the best option anywhere in the North Brooklyn vicinity.

Bummer to have not had Gorkhali in the neighborhood sooner. This place slapped. Did takeout and it was great so think it'd be even better sitting in. For two we ordered a chow mein, fried rice, and steamed momos. We did medium spice level and it really wasn't spicy at all so would recommend going to the highest level if you like a kick. Momos were incredible, I always prefer steamed and think the pork was a great option since it's one of the more flavorful meat options. Super soft and nicely filled. Loved both the fried rice and noodles as well. Will say its lean on the protein but the flavors are great! For both the chow mein and fried rice the meats were a dried/jerky texture. Not sure if this is common/regional but it was my first time experiencing it. I was a fan!

This is a cute little me and my friends stumbled by on a Saturday evening at 6ish! We were starving after coming back from playing Holi in the city near by at the BK Backyard bar. We decided to stop here for some momos and rice and noodles. Since we were drenched in dry Holi colors and a bit dirty from it, we asked inside if we can dine here. The man was kind enough to let us sit inside and dine here. We ordered a variety of dishes to Veggie chili momos (my favorite), chicken steam momos, egg fried rice, veggie noodles, some mango lassis and one cup of masala tea because it was crazy windy and cold outside. Overall, the food was good. My top favorite was the veggie chili momos and the egg fried rice. This place is very small but cute from inside! It feels very homely! They have a limited menu but it was all very tasteful and good.

Yummy spot ! I've lived so close to here for almost a year and never popped in but it's definitely about to become my comfort-spot. Had the Gobi and Momos and they were fresh and flavorful ! The restaurant is cozy and clean and the staff are very friendly and helpful

Great time here!! Our server was so nice, friendly, and just a delight! Had good recs on the food and helpful with making decisions. We had the tea which was some of the best tea I've ever had, my bf said it tasted extra flavorful! We had two other dishes both were excellent. Definitely come in, try a few things and enjoy!! I would also add the momos were huge and so full! Came in an order of 8 or 9 which was also great for the price.

The food was amazing and the staff were very friendly explaining what each dish was. The place was small but they were able to accommodate our party of 7. I got the vegetarian thali which was very good and you could get refills on each of the dishes. I ended up getting a refill on multiple dishes as they were all very good. Can't wait to visit again!

So happy to have Nepalese in the neighborhood! Unassuming but neat little spot, sweet service (free tea!), and delicious fresh food. I got the veggie momos in johl and thoroughly enjoyed it.

Its good, its good! And they're so nice. I didn't realize there's ANOTHER location in Jackson Heights, Queens. It makes sense because they're fully ready to roll, and have not been there many months. So, I suppose its a build, on their success in Jackson Heights. (And if you have not been to Jackson Heights Queens for food?--its a playground! So many varieties of foods, and connects with Elmhurst which is part of the same playground). I shared with friend the veg thali, pork mo mo, and had a mango lassi and masali tea. Give Gorkhali a try.

The service was top-notch (my phone was almost dead and they not only helped me charge my phone but gave me their charger with such a kind smile). Then the food--holy moly was it good! I got the assorted platter of lentil soup, curry potato, sautéed veggies, sliced veggies, and stewed goat with sweet & sour sauce and a spicy smoky sauce. Soooooo delicious! They also offer free refills of whatever you want! I had masala tea to wash it down and couldn't have been happier at the end of the night. Can't wait to go back!

Absolutely recommend. If you don't go to this place, you're wrong. Extensive menu. Very authentic. The service for a walk up spot is amazing. I have to emphasize the authenticity of this place. Reminds me of the kimpab nala in Korea. The after hours spot of champions in Korea. Much like kimpab chonguk.

Had a great meal. Gorkhali had all my fav Asian dishes under one roof. We ordered a lot of differ dishes to try bc it was so hard to decide. All dishes were very good. Our favorites were the lasuni gobi, spicy aloo and chicken curry. Service was inviting and warm. We will def be back!

The food was delicious, but the portions were a bit small. The service was also good as the waitress was very attentive.

Great food, good people. The host is very friendly. Recommend the chicken momos, both steamed and jhol. Lasoni gobi (cauliflower) is really good. Place is also BYOB and they give you a 10% neighborhood discount.

Opened recently. I've been ~5 times and the food is great! Recommend the momos. The staff are friendly and have offered tea while waiting for carry out. Definitely check them out

Awesome new-ish spot!! We tried fried beef momo, pork momo in broth, chili chicken and pork chowmein. Everything was great, but the chili chicken and chowmein are UNREAL. Everyone was super kind and they also give you delicious tea to begin your meal. Give it a try!
