My Limerick husband loves Gormleys pub when we're visiting Ohio.

I had the best Guinness this side of the Atlantic in this friendly neighborhood feel good pub. Great selection of Irish. Great feel. Sean is a great host thot really cares about his establishment. I drove from NY to experience this pub!

There for a private party and everything was top notch. I'll go again individually as it had a warm atmosphere.

One of my regular locations! This bar is amazing the upstairs is so cute and has two dart boards. If you stop in take a chance to go upstairs. They normally play the big rugby games on all of the TVs too

My husband and I had our wedding there and it was awesome. Sean and his staff couldn't have been more accomadating. I didn't have to worry about anything. Everyone at the wedding loved the venue. Love Gormley's!

Nice little Irish bar. Impromptu band playing folk music. Great service. Cold beer.

This is a pub lifted from the north of Ireland, a true Derry experience. No, there is a sparse selection of food. That is typical of pubs throughout the Republic as well as Derry. I remember a thatch-roofed place just outside of Spital. They had a menu that contained one (and only one) item, a ham sandwich on white bread. But it had fantastic porter and a healthy slice of craic. Gormley's is the same. If that's not enough I can't help you. A wide selection of fine whiskeys, lovely Smithwicks, a bit of corn beef, an occasional cigar atop the second-floor patio and always attentive service. This is must stop place if you are in Rocky River!

I can see this place from my house, so to say it's my local is a bit of an understatement. The pub used to be someone's general store when it was built, and it has maintained an old-timey charm. More importantly, it feels like a cozy, authentically Irish joint. The bar itself is smallish, the patrons are laid-back, and you're likely to make a new friend or two over a pint of well-poured Guinness or Sullivan's. There are two patios to choose from when the weather's fine - one upstairs and one down. Food is limited, but they tend to be friendly to bringing your own if you feel the need. Service is attentive, and pints are always served with a smile and a kind word.

A really friendly, small neighborhood bar with great staff and nice patrons. The food selection is limited to chips and a corned beef / reuben sandwich. TBH this reuben is really tasty. It came on white bread which I prefer over anything containing caraway seed haha. But they also let you bring in your own food / take out from some place else. Really cute and cozy spot! Saw this place while visiting family. It's going to be a regular stop when I'm in town. It's warm and intimate with friendly staff. Like others have said, the food is limited but it's a great place to stop and have a pint!

I used to love this place. Very real, authentic Irish pub. Great tap selection and reasonably priced. My last 3-4 visits have been a disappointment. The weekday bartender, don't recall his name, doesn't know there are other musicians except Bruce Springsteen. If you want to listen to 3 straight hours of Bruce Springsteen, then this is the place. And don't ask to listen to Irish music. The bartender will not play it and he will give you a rash of crap about why he isn't going to play it. Now for the bad part. DO NOT give them your credit card and do not start a tab. Pay as you go and pay in cash only. If you do not you will be in for an unpleasant surprise the next time you check your statement.

A small bar that you could pass for 20+ years (like I did) and never make it inside. I celebrated a friend's birthday here in the upstairs party room. The main floor was lively, had a musician and guests who have their regular seats. It's a small place that has plenty of charm, history and friendly faces. I look forward to coming back again.

I've been there more than a few times now, and I find it to be a pleasant place to pass the time when my wife is away on a girl's night out. the bartenders are kind and pleasant. they have an assortment of Irish beers and Irish whiskeys which suit me fine. They have other drinks as well. I have gotten the Reuben Sandwich and the Crisps. there is not a full menu. most folks come for the drinks, the company, and the live music which is there a few days a week.

I have Irish ancestors and twice traveled to Ireland. Having this bar right around the corner saves a lot of travel time. This is mainly a bar, but they do have rubens and corned beef sandwiches. With multiple levels and outdoor seating there is more room inside than it looks. It appears that they could handle parties and large events. I got a REALLY GREAT VIBE about this place.

Irish are known for two things, beer and whiskey. I would have given this place 2.5 stars but definitely not 3, beer sucks, whiskey offerings look standard. Tired of places that serve beer because of where its from. I'm sorry fresh quality beer will always win out over stale imports for me but by all means keep doing what you are doing if that is your flavor. This place is not a repeat for me. Biggest tip i can give you is don't do the Guinness Blonde American Larger.

F$&k this place. Someone shared a Facebook post of a screenshot of a special release Guinness and I drive 90 min to get their and it's their idea of a April fools joke. False advertising is not funny. Especially when it cost you 40.00 I'm gas round trip in your truck at current gas prices. You guys suck

The best poured Guinness beers I have ever had in life. Will be coming again. I will only have Guinness stouts here from now on!

I've been coming to Gormley's for a few months now with my boyfriend and a handful of our friends here and there. We tend to seek out local bars because we love the smaller feel and great hospitality. Gormley's has exceeded our expectations. Their staff is super friendly, the place is well kept, they offer reasonable pricing, and the location is ideal, on the corner of Wooster and Center Ridge. The best part about Gormley's is the mix of atmosphere. We've been there for quiet mid week beers or cheered on to local Irish music on the weekends. No matter the time, we have had a blast and are super thankful to have a place like Gormley's so close by!

Super cute neighborhood bar. They actually have quite a bit of room inside and a nice sized patio on the side when the weather is better. This is a cute little place to while away an evening with friends, watch a game or just stop for a nightcap. I love that there is no music blaring so loud that you can talk (That's why we stop here!). The owners did a great job remodeling into a nice little pub like atmosphere. Easy to get to and parking in back.

We went for a "girls night" just two of us... this newly renovated space is perfect for having some beer or wine and chatting it up all night. But, there are some downsides... NO FOOD! I suggest they find a food program quickly! Get a restaurant to deliver to us or get some snacks for the hungry drinkers. Also, a very basic beer selection. It's CLE craft beer heaven lately... and he only had one local beer on draft. Of course he has the usual suspects, for an Irish pub. Like Guinness and blue moon. Just wanted something a little new a fresh! Other than that, go and bring a game and some snacks! The owner was pleasant and quite attentive to us the whole evening!

Gormley's is by far my favorite neighborhood spot, and is as close to a true Irish pub I've seen. The staff is friendly and quick, the atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, and it's very clean. My husband and I love meeting friends for a drink or stopping by for a nightcap. I also love that they have live music several nights a week. I highly recommend it!

OK I'm going to be completely honest here....a part of me doesn't want to write a review of this authentic Irish pub because I don't want it to become a hot commodity. BUT, since it's so great, I have to give it props and the review it deserves. To say that this place is cozy and perfect is an understatement. The building is a converted general store/house/barber shop/and now pub that sits on the corner of Wooster and Center Ridge Road in Rocky River. On one particular visit, one of my coworkers and I cozied up to the bar when we got there and started chatting with Joe, the bartender who turns out is also a manager. He told us all about how the place used to be a general store, which is why it has that open, yet also sectioned off feeling. The upstairs used to be an apartment that is now a cozy spot that can also be rented out for parties (hello dart board, separate bar and private bathroom!). The downstairs also opens up to a side patio that would be perfect for small get-togethers in the warmer months. When talking to Joe, he also mentioned that a lot of the décor and some of the furniture came from the Hoolihan's that used to be downtown. I've only ever had a Guinness here but they have a fully stocked bar that has something for everyone!

Sitting where I used to get my haircut. A real Irish pub in River. Good Irish Beer and Ohio too. Stop by during the day and get your haircut at the barbershop next door and have a Guinness while you wait at the pub.

Classic Irish neighborhood pub. Good selection of beers on tap and whiskeys, bourbons. He has basil hayden.

This place is great!!! The owner came around and introduced himself and the staff were attentive and friendly. My in-laws live close so we could walk and enjoy the live music. They have some outdoor seating and you can still hear the music.

What a gem. Owner/bartender is attentive and friendly. Atmosphere is great and they add some food, it'll be a regular destination for me & my group. This place is all good, forth star coming when.it adds some small food offerings. Keep it up!

If you're looking for an authentic Irish Pub this is the place. Great people, great music and some good ole Irish conversation. They pour a mean Guniness too.

Read about this place in the Plain Dealer. The story is a great one. Had to see it for ourselves. Got there around 10AM on St. Paddy's Day 2018. Smallish crowd but it quickly grew. Before long it was packed and the party was in full effect. All of the bartenders were great. Found a corner table and parked there for the day. Talked to all sorts of locals including families with small kids. Met the owner during the day. He is the quintessential Irish publican! He's easy to spot, just look for the best haircut in the room! As a special treat, we were treated to a surprise appearance by the Pipe and Drum Corps. If you haven't heard a team of pipers and drummers indoors you can't imagine the intensity. Simply amazing! We'll be back for sure!
