Gostilna in vinoteka Faladur (permanently closed)

was a bit hard to find at first, really thought i was gonna be lost in the middle of nowhere lol. we were on our way to guerila for a wine tasting, so decided to book this restaurant for lunch. we went for a four course lunch, it was really affordable in our opinion, especially for the food we got. super pretty dishes! flavour-wise, i think there’s room for improvement, but we appreciated the creativity. and the host was so friendly, really passionate, communicative and thoughtful :). thanks so much for this experience.

Great food and even better service. We had a 5 course dinner, a mix of traditional and new dishes. Out waiter was very helpful and gave us loads of tips about wine houses. And we tried a lot of wines. Would definitely come back, Ivan thanks for a great night🫶

¡Thank you for this unforgettable culinary experience! Every dish was unique and incredibly delicious. Even though we had never tried anything like it before, it truly felt like a journey through time. I understand the movie *Ratatouille* on a whole new level now! The flavors were amazing, and each wine was perfectly paired with the food. This experience will stay in my heart for a long time. If you're visiting Slovenia, this is a must-do! I'm already looking forward to the next time we come back.

Small place in charming town Vipava - great atmosphere and service, interesting wine selection. Very good food, especially Fish and Deer carpaccio, tartare with onion.

Outstanding experience. Best meal in Slovenia during our two week trip. Food was well prepared, delicious. Service was top notch. The wine pairing was an exceptional value and very enjoyable. Small cosy and casual environment. Exactly the type of restaurant anyone who loves food would enjoy. Highly recommended

Luxurious tasting menu at a fantastic price! Cozy outdoor seating, great wine, and excellent service. I had an incredibly delicious risotto and veal for the main course. The flavors didn't quite come together in the shrimp carpaccio and cheesecake, so I recommend choosing other dishes for cold starter and dessert.

Faladur was the perfect balance of brilliant, thoughtful and deliberate food choices and execution, and personal friendly interaction that makes it special and something more. Welcoming, warm and wonderful. Absolutely delicious, locally sourced food and wine. Owner and staff spent time talking to us about food, wine and life in Vipava.

Faladur is a small jewel hidden away in the Vipava valley. We came across it while preparing a road trip from Trieste to Ljubljana, as it recently got a bib gourmand in the Michelin guide (only 3 months in after they re-opened!). Faladur provides a gastronomic experience full of flavour and warmth. The impecable balance of ingredients, the attention-to-detail of the wine pairing, and the kindness of the staff makes of this restaurant an unmissable stop in Slovenia. I was tempted of giving them 4/5 stars just because they are not closer to where I live! You must come here.
