One of the best coffee and breakfast spots I’ve experienced — and the warmest service in Vienna. I had breakfast at GOTA on a busy morning and was still blown away by how friendly and thoughtful the staff were — especially Katie, who was incredibly sweet, patient, and attentive despite the rush. She took time to answer all my questions and gave great recommendations. I ordered the vegan pancakes, banana bread, and a flat white. I’m usually not a pancake person, but these were genuinely delicious — fluffy, flavorful, and beautifully plated. The banana bread was rich and comforting without being too sweet. And the flat white? A solid 10/10 — one of the best I’ve had, with perfect milk texture and a balanced espresso. The vibe is minimalist and relaxed, the beans are clearly high quality (lots of single-origin options to take home), and everything on the menu feels intentional. Can’t recommend it enough — I’ll definitely return whenever I visit Vienna. 📍 GOTA is a must-visit for coffee lovers and anyone who appreciates thoughtful hospitality.

The no 3 Coffee Shop in the world more than meets the high expectations. Well earned rewards! The award is a deserved accolade for the shop and the experience is a treat for the customers. Everything is fantastic and it was a pleasure to meet the lovely co-owener Katherine Brun. One interesting twist is their partnering with very distinguished guest roasters

Not sure if you agree with me I think within the top tier food & beverage spots consistent service quality is equally if not more important than product itself….end of day we’re humans and expect basic standards of service levels…I visited Gota this morning (Tuesday) 9.50am and got seated pretty quick…however as visitor to Vienna & travelled 40mins this morning to check this coffee spot I asked staff for recommendation and got an answer ‘everything’s good’…I had to chase for tap water multiple times…my latte arrived bit spilled out of the cup…then I had to chase staff for carrot cake order as I think they forgot it completely…the product both coffee and cake was super good top notch… I’m hoping this is one of those one-offs however service consistency is the point I’m trying to highlight …I hope owners have a think how to have customers avoid such experiences, I’m not sure if I’ll recommend or ever visit this spot again…good luck!

The café has a friendly and welcoming service, which makes for a pleasant atmosphere. However, it does feel a bit overpriced for what you actually get. I tried the pistachio cheesecake — the cheese layer itself had a very nice, creamy consistency, but the pistachios on top were soggy, as was the crust, which took away from the overall experience. We also ordered a flat white, which was good but nothing special, and a filtered Costa Rica coffee, which was aromatic and interesting — not your everyday typical brew. Still, for the price you pay, it was on the expensive side. As a one-time visit to see what the hype is about, it was fine.

Located near Schönbrunn Palace, I stopped by this well-known coffee shop. It’s quite popular, and it felt busy even when I visited. I ordered some breakfast and a hot latte. When I asked for the latte, the staff gave me a look like I didn’t know what I was doing — complete with an annoyed expression. So I asked, half-jokingly, “Is your latte really that bad?” He just brushed it off and continued taking other orders with a dismissive attitude. The coffee was actually quite good, and the prices were fair. If the service had been a bit friendlier, it would’ve been a great experience.

This café is a wonderful spot to relax and enjoy a good cup of coffee ,The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with comfortable seating and nice background music. The staff are polite and attentive, making the experience even better. Their coffee is rich and well-prepared, and the pastries are fresh and delicious. Prices are reasonable compared to the quality. A perfect place for both working and socializing ,I’ll definitely visit again

Great coffee place, friendly and attentive service although the place is packed. I arrived before 1pm on Saturday and the wait is 5 minutes. Even if longer, the coffee and food is worth it. It was selected as top 3 world’s coffee house and I can see why from the V60 filter coffee. The flavor of coffee is not bitter, as what is expected from top brew. Instead it is layered and bursting with complex flavors and notes. Amazing. The food is great too. Had the dish with 2 eggs, where the yolks are poached perfectly. The cake is amazing accompaniment to the coffee

We came here because a friend's recommendation and she was not wrong. We ordered the "Avocado Genuss", a croissant with ham and chesse and for coffees we had a latte and a double expresso (can't remember the name of the variety, the profile said fig, chocolate mousse and something else). Everything was delicious! We had a mixup with the order and mistakenly got a filter coffee (Colombian variety). I'm glad we made that mistake, cause it was so delicious too! The girl who assisted us was so friendly and so nice when we realised what happened with the filter coffee, will come back if we have the chance! 10/10
