Houston’s 12 Best Cajun and Creole Restaurants | Eater Houston

"Cajun and Creole flavors are sprinkled throughout the menu here in dishes such as the crawfish empanadas and blackened shrimp and grits, as well as its boiled seafood. Pro-tip: start the dining experience at this spot with a cup of Big Mama’s Cajun Gumbo." - Alexandria Jack

Food was 20 out of 10. Service 20 out of 10. Vibe 20 out of 10. Love everything about this place. Except for those sand paper napkins. Please change those. Other than that. Best lamb chops I've ever had. Drink was not lacking with the alcohol I had the white gummy bear 😋. Those egg rolls, my goodness. First time having Cajun egg rolls and I loved them. Will be back next time I'm in Houston. 😋 Waitress was a very nice young lady.

Upon walking in we were greeted with music, a nice vibe and a host rather quickly. We were seated promptly & kindly. The host did hand us plastic utensils which normally I don’t complain, however eating my steak was rather difficult. But then again I never asked for a regular fork so that could’ve been a personal battle. We ordered a Watermelon Lemon Drop which came out first. It was very good, the rim was even better. We ordered (Benyays?) they were amazing! Three large ones but as they say Everything’s bigger in Texas! They had a special serving Ribeye (20) or Lamp-chops (30) with a baked potato & salad. We opted for Cesar. The food was served rather quickly and OMG. The lamb chops were perfected, the steak was magnificent, the potatoes were topped with cheese and bacon. The bacon definitely added a special touch sending the potato thru the roof. My only complaint “food” wise is the salad bowls were a bit small for the salad. I made a huge mess trying to mix my salad dressing into it. The vibe of the restaurant itself is very welcoming and kind. Our server was a beautiful young lady who was prompt and funny! However we see the potential in your restaurant! We deducted a star because it hasn’t reached its full potential & we believe you are very close! We are looking forward to returning in the future next time we visit!

Had high hopes after reading reviews. The cat food fish/ shrimp poor boy was great as well as the cheese fries. Service was poor at best. Slow to serve and The delivery was steady, though it lacked some of the spark or engagement that could make it more memorable. I wouldn’t return or recommend to others. Our server didn’t seem to had much care. They also take out 20% at the top they take a 8% service fee and then 12% for gratuity server and then ask for more tip on top at the end of what’s already factored into the bill. For the level of service that was absolutely unnecessary. A lot of construction going on around the area to it’s inconvenient to find parking. Prices seemed on the higher side.

Gotti’s came through with the cozy, cool, laid-back vibe. The place is quaint in the best way — intimate without feeling small. I do wish they had a full bar, but sitting at the service bar worked out because we got front-row seats to the action. They had Tuesday specials, so we grabbed Espolòn Blanco shots — one with salt, one with sugar. Their blue-colored salt threw me off at first because usually the sugar gets the color treatment, but Gotti’s said, “We’ll do it our way.” Shoutout to the team for the smooth service: Angela, the manager making sure everything ran tight Daphne, the red-haired mixologist who made our shots Zoe, bun high and checkout clean They were ready to hand us those shots before I was even done talking.

We came 6 deep from Vegas for a birthday weekend we had so much fun. It was a perfect environment for our first night/turn up. Brandon was our waiter. He was official he didn’t mess nothing up. He was so kind professional and still fun I had the lamb Loki pops with Cajun rice & asparagus they were Fire, my girl had a pasta. It was real good also. The rest of the party had a bunch of different stuff that we had no complaints.!! The drinks were good as well if you’re in Houston pull up you Won’t regret it. * If I had a one Suggestion, it would be to give more than four asparagus spears for the side at least make it a cool six to fill the lil up.

Google
First thing is first, make a reservation before coming and try to come at the time they open in the morning rather than later so you don't have to worry about the rush that comes between noon-1pm. They open at 11am. I loved the bingo in between music and the DJ really had us rocking. There's plenty of free street parking in the area on Sundays. Overall the service was fine but they took quite a while just to bring our food and we were the first ones there. Our server was nice but when it got busy he did not come around and I had to flag someone to get him. Now let's get into the food: Catfish - 5/5 Steak - 3/5: great flavor but thin & a little fatty Red velvet waffles - 4/5 Eggs - 5/5 Biscuits - 5/5 Beignet Doughnuts - 5/5 Gumbo 5/5: I just wish there was more protein, there was one sausage in my bowl.

Google
I came to this place to try the shrimp catfish Po boy sandwich here. I got a side of waffle fries. It was nice you could combine both seafood items instead of individual for a small upcharge. The shrimp batter was very good and the shrimp was tender and not rubbery at all. The catfish was very flaky and breading was nice and thing but crispy. The overall sandwich had a lot of good flavor with veggies. The tartar sauce was ok with the seafood and the waffle fries were decent. The staff was nice and attentive. The place feels like a chill lounge place with sports in the background with hookah and whatnot. Definitely not a place for a quiet dinner.

Google
My daughter and I had brunch at Gotti's. We had the CreoIe egg rolls as well as the southern fried tomatoes for an appetizer, they were absolutely delicious. I had the Cajun jerk lamb chop and grits. My entree was good enough to slap grandma! My daughter had the catfish which she said was very good and fried to perfection. The service was outstanding. Then they had the utter nerves to serve us their beignets draped in their special topping which was a perfect ending to our meal. This is Cajun comfort food at its best! You gotta go treat yourself to this little hide away sitting on the edge of downtown. You will not regret it!

Yelp
Nice spot for some cajun food, hookah & good music. Had the crawfish empanadas, catfish & grits. Both dishes came out steamy hot! Portions are extremely satisfying. Atmosphere is lounge, day party vibes with hip hop on the speakers. Service here is different. After you receive your orders, they leave you to it. Which I don't mind.

Yelp
I met up with some co-workers here Saturday night and it was AWFUL!!! Service was soo TERRIBLE. When I first came in there was no host, but there were workers everywhere. It took about 10 minutes for me to even be seated with a reservation. Then when I was seated, my server took 30-45 minutes just to come greet us and take our drink order. Then he had the audacity to say that the kitchen was backed up...placed the drink order and that took over 30 minutes. The workers were dancing and smoking hookah instead of working. The food was okay. My co-worker drink tasted like syrup. Then the server had the audacity to ask us to leave a review about his service. I think my server was supposed to be a female instead of a male. It was insane. The ENTIRE ordeal was a nightmare. It's crazy because I came here for brunch before and had a great experience, but this time it was soo awful. I will not be coming here at night. I should have went to Pluckers instead....

Yelp
Clarissa was an amazing server from the start to finish!!! She was very hospitable, accommodating, aware, honest, friendly and this made the experience worth it. When I say she needs a raise-I mean it. Clarissa took very good care of our birthday crew. Ask for Clarissa if you stop by Now Gotti's might need work when it comes to management !!!

Yelp
Club-like atmosphere on a Saturday! DJ, fire sticks, and all. A fun spot to get hype before going out. The food was delicious and I definitely recommend the Gotti's sauce. Only improvements would be portion size and silverware.
google avatar

Marva R.

Yelp
Okay, I love the atmosphere I give it a 5! Diamond our server gets a 6 on a 5-point scale. The brisket fries most definitely are a 6 on a 5 point scale. My beer not being draft but a draft picture on the menu I am giving a 2. Because draft is better and for $6.95 I deserve a draft. Now my burger I didn't like it. The big ole piece of cheese that wasn't melted is crazy to me. I am giving that burger a 1. Melt my cheese. That was just a bad presentation to me. The hookah and I don't know what they did to that flavor but I give it a 4 only because I lik wood tips. Gotti himself I give a 5. So the final rating Final score 4.14

Yelp
We came here on a random Sunday. My friend had been before, she said the food was pretty good and it had the vibe that we were looking for that day. I recommend booking a reservation in advance was pretty packed in there. We ended up booking our reservation the same morning we went, and they still had some good time slots available. We had the beignets as our appetizer and it was so good we got three more orders after that. We also tried the biscuits which were fluffy like a good biscuit should be. I have the shrimp & grits and added a catfish to it. It was so good! We also got a mimosa tower. It wasn't filled all the way to the top which sucked, but we still had a good time and the music was good.

Yelp
Attended brunch here for my daughters birthday, In my honest opinion I would probably most likely not return, I ordered the fish and grits, my husband ordered the shrimp and grits, added fish, my daughter had the red velvet waffles and chicken, side of bacon, my son ordered the gumbo and I had mimosas. We left majority of the food there and took nothing to go, The server was so friendly and amazing but the food was not good, everything was completely cold to include the side of bacon, the only thing that was hot was the fish. The waffles were flat and salty, overall it wasn't a great experience due the food, The music was great, we took a photo there and paid for that, the guy was friendly that took the photos of me and my family! We spent $167 to include a $30 fee, and paid $30 to park.

Yelp
The only thing that I will say nice about this place is the fact that it has a great atmosphere. On the other hand, I firmly believe that you can get better and bigger portions from other places no less than 5 minutes from here. There is no reason why you guys should be charging the "Colossal Shrimp Platter" for around $28 dollars, to receive a spoonful of rice and six pieces of fried shrimp, with four pieces of hushpuppies (another $4 to add seafood rice which I didn't even get.. plus another $2 for the "Gotti" sauce. Get real please. If yall already charging that amount I'm expecting that to come with it.) When it finally came out, the only thing that was warm.. not even hot.. WARM.. was the shrimp. Cold rice. Cold hushpuppies. It's honestly sad. On top of that, it took about an hour and a half to cook this. Now I do not know what's going on behind the scenes but whenever there's barely anyone inside of the restaurant and it takes you that long to cook something like that, then charge a blasphemous price, that's completely insane to me. A big thank you to the worker to whomever asked me what I was having because after getting countless of "they're working on it" and it's "almost ready" after every 15 minutes, it finally came out whenever she took action. In summary, basically if you wanna starve while getting robbed at the same time, go ahead and eat here. You gonna be spending a whole lot for nothing. Trust me. There are way better places than this to dine at. For the love of God I hope y'all make changes soon.

Yelp
Real fun environment with great service, our waitress Leah was pretty knowledgeable of the menu and gave us her recommendations that were helpful. Delicious food!

Yelp
We visited Gotti's on a Sunday for brunch. Reservations weren't required although they are preferred as tables have a maximum of 2 hours at a table. Our wait time to be seated was about 15-20mins which wasn't bad at all. After being seated we were provided with menus and were provided with bingo cards. There are 3 rounds of bingo that is played. The first round winner wins a drink. The second and third round winner win shots for their entire table. Our table won the first round! The games are paced and are not played back to back allowing others to join in depending on when they are seated. The menu is super limited, but my selection, I really enjoyed. I had the catfish with grits and asked for a side of their Cajun sauce which was superb mixed in with the fish and grits! For drinks I had the Lillies margarita and the watermelon drop. The Lillie's margarita was 10x better--I am a tequila lover lol. Both drinks were perfectly made and had ample amount of liquor. For parking we were competing with the baseball game which was nearby so we had to park 3 blocks over. The DJ is great. However, there is restricted space which limits room for dancing. There is space to stand up at your table but again, it is tight. I hope they can expand soon.

Yelp
7 of my friends visited this past Sunday for our 1pm reservation for brunch and bingo! Only to find out they had 2 rounds of bingo earlier within the day. We even called the day before to verify the time of bingo plus it was stated on their website that it started at 1pm. So, we are very disappointing about that. Some of our food was cold. I had catfish and grits seems like it could of been really good but I can't eat cold food. My friend enjoyed the wings. We ordered the infused mimosa tower which comes with 8 shots of liquor. Our tower was extremely sweet. We didn't even drink it. As other reviewers stated, the music was extremely LOUD! I couldn't even talk to the people at my table. We were yelling the entire time. I do like the mimosa tower comes with a sparkler and the staff dances. The Dj was really good as well. Our waiter was AWESOME! Marcus was a total vibe!!!

Yelp
Came on a Saturday morning shortly after opening. We didn't have a reservation, but were seated immediately. We were disappointed to find out we were unable to order the Fried Lobster with the Seafood rice due to it not being on their brunch menu. We settled for catfish & grits, chicken & red velvet waffles, and macaroni and greens as sides. For drinks, we had a mimosa carafe. It took a while to receive our food, probably about 30 minutes, but everything was extremely fresh & hot, which we really appreciated. The fried chicken stole the show. Easily some of the best chicken I've ever had. The catfish & grits were good as well. The greens had great potential, but they were very spicy. I personally didn't care for the macaroni at all. Overall, I'd say the food is great. The atmosphere is nice and chill, a live dj came in about halfway through our visit. I recommend you give it a try.

Yelp
I visited Gotti's for a late lunch on a weekend. It provides a very similar vibe to other local restaurants. There was a DJ and hookah available. My drink was delicious. I ordered the blackened shrimp with dirty rice which is associated with an up charge. The portion size seems small upon presentation but after finishing my meal I felt full. The shrimp was delicious and the corn muffins were amazing. Our waiter was very nice and made sure we were taken care of. Not sure if I will visit again but it's a nice place to hang out with friends.
google avatar

Yelp
We decided to go to Gotti's for a late night eat! We went on a Sunday about 10pm. There was no wait. We were immediately seated but it took the waitress about 15 mins to come greet us and get drinks. But that was really no issue because the music was blaring and we were vibing to the tunes! Since it was my bday, my drink was on the waitress 2 which i thought was extremely nice! I ordered the catfish bites and gumbo! They both were very good! The gumbo had a little spice to it but i came to find out that all food in HTX is spicy as hell!! At the end of our meal, they came over with a sparkler and bday sign & a piece of cake which was a great surprise! Will def come back!
google avatar

La'Shanique D.

Yelp
Nice brunch spot that plays new age hip hop/rap music. Music is kind of loud, so if you're not into that, maybe think twice. Our server was really sweet; however she failed to let us know that gratuity was already included in the bill. We paid on her hand held device that also did not display included gratuity. So she was tipped very generously. Food took a while to come out but it was delicious. My mom had vegan chickn pasta and I had the catfish, shrimp and dirty rice. The dirty rice is a must if you come!

Yelp
8:45pm Tuesday, June 27th, 2023. Parking is what you make it. They had street parking but it's EADO, so best of luck to you. Honestly, I believe I came on a really bad night for them. It was Taco Tuesday and they had $5 PREMIUM tequila. That was phenomenal. When my issue started or with the time it took to bring the food to the table. We ordered two chicken tacos and it took about 25 minutes for those to arrive. That should have been a hint on the entree timing. 35 minutes later after ordering our entree they told us that they no longer had the pasta that we had ordered. They ran out of it or something along those lines.. it took an additional 15 minutes for me to get my chicken fried chicken and our substituted order of chicken wings. Diamond, our server was accommodating, helpful, empathetic, and efficient while communicating and serving us. Their ambiance is inviting and low-key. It allows you to chill or if the mood strikes, dance a little. The music is great and it's not overwhelming. I will be back because I think it was just an off night for me. P.s. at the time, the women's sink was broken.
google avatar

Derrick D.

Yelp
This restaurant is interesting not amazing, but definitely more than tolerable with great service. Blacked owned vibes and I am here for it! The fried pickles were okay the pickles are huge for the thickness of the batter. The owner and server Lauren were great about remaking them for us, I loved that. Lauren was great all around and had a great attitude. It says a lot about the culture of this environment. The lamb chop lollipops were nothing short of an extravaganza on my taste buds and the dirty rice was a great compliment to the course. My wife said her pasta was over seasoned, but she enjoyed it. Outside of the food I disagree with their gratuity, we spent $85 just me and her. With a party of 4 each individual checks and they included an automatic gratuity which is different than I am used to. Just be aware it's expensive and portions are small for the price, but worth a try.
google avatar

Nicole P.

Yelp
Same great food, same great vibe, same great service. This time we came for the weekend brunch and were not disappointed! We tried the margarita tower and boudin balls. They even helped us to celebrate a birthday in our party! Definitely return customers!
google avatar

Rae S.

Yelp
Although it was hot when we walked in, I gave Gotti's the benefit of the doubt. I shouldn't have. Fix your A/C! Black folks don't like being hot. Honestly, as soon as I saw the portions, I was disappointed and had immediately decided that I'd never visit this place again. I paid $42 for 3 skimpy lamb chops. I needed the lamb from the daddy, not the newborn, for that price. My grits were cold, which is crazy because grits are literally one food that holds heat for a long time. My party's fish was hot so I know that my food must've been sitting to the side. The food is terribly overpriced. Flavors - good. Portions - skimpy. Price - robbery. The food came out fast. We beat the brunch rush. Not sure how this review would have gone had we been there in the midst of that rush. This review would've been a -2, probably. The waiter didn't come back around after we got our food. As a Black owned establishment, I'm disappointed but not surprised.

Yelp
this was my first time visiting this establishment and I enjoyed it! Doni provided excellent service and was very attentive! I will be back

Yelp
Came here for Sunday brunch with a friend and I must say loved the vibe! We made reservations so when we entered we were greeted and sat immediately. The dj was live and jammin from the time we entered creating such a fun and hype brunch! As I waited on my friend to arrive, it did take a little while for someone to greet me and bring out the drink, but you wouldn't have really noticed bc again the dj was jammin! The one thing I noticed and enjoyed the most was the dj kept the brunch going and interactive, we played bingo and you could win a drink for yourself and through additional rounds the table! So that was cool that everyone was all for bingo! I ordered the chicken wings bc it just seemed the way to go, but I wanted a side of fries and they don't serve that during brunch. After looking at pics, the waffle fries looked soooo good, so I'm sad I didn't get to try them. But this chicken!! This chicken was sooooooo good!! It was well seasoned, I asked for extra crispy, and that's exactly what I got. Not over cooked, cooked just right and every crunch was soooo good! I also heard about the Gotti sauce so I ordered a side of that and it didn't disappoint either! It's almost like a Cajun Alfredo sauce that was perfect to dip the wings in. Overall I give this place a great rating and would come back again. Gratuity is added automatically on Saturday and Sundays, which makes perfect sense. Also this is East Downtown, so there is street parking and paid parking lots available.

Sandra W.

Yelp
Good food and a very young vibe. The lamb chops were fabulous. The sea food was good as well. The seafood rice had chicken and I am confused.

Yelp
Hey don't miss out on this gem everything good this restaurant didn't miss on one thing

Tosin A.

Yelp
I went to Gotti's on a Thursday night with a friend and expected a pretty chill atmosphere. The vibe was interesting. There were only 10 patrons in the restaurant, but the music was blasting so loud I was straining to hear my friend. We ordered chicken strips and truffle fries. The chicken strips were great, but the fries were drenched (maybe even fried) in truffle oil making them inedible. If you are looking for more of a turn up or club vibe with great drinks and shareable apps, Gotti's is a great establishment to patron.
google avatar

Lalainia N.

Yelp
Fun atmosphere and burgers were good! No frills burger... no lettuce and tomatoes but you can have sautéed onions and mushrooms. Yummy!
google avatar

Yelp
Good food! Excellent Service. A cool vibe. My server LaKeith was so friendly & nice. He explained the menu & made recommendations since it was our 1st time. He came back to check on us several times. The GM was awesome. He immediately recognized us & treated us superb. I enjoyed my visit. The drinks were amazing. Please don't hesitate to visit .

Yelp
Literally what a needed for a Sunday Funday ! From the moment you walk in the vibes are there! They have a live DJ, good hookah, a mimosa tower with different options i tried the infused mimosa (8 shots) with mango and orange juice. Now let me tell y'all something the FOOD ! Now the FOOD has me in a chokehold ! I know for a fact the Gotti's staff loves their job the food was *chef's kiss! Entrees : Gotti's pasta comes with chicken and i added shrimp so worth it, blackened catfish and shrimp one word: DELICIOUS . A must try !!!
google avatar

Bryan E.

Yelp
What can I say Gotti's brought some good energy on a Sunday Funday! There was no shortage of atmosphere here with the DJ keep the patrons cooking! My only issue is the organization of reservations. They seemed to have an issue with keeping patrons to their two hour table limit. At one point there was a bottle neck of customers hanging at the entrance that all seemed to have the same 2pm reservation that my party had. This caused a 30 min or so delay but once they cleared everyone out that had overstayed their welcome things only elevated from there. Needless to say I'll be back for more soon Gotti's. I got the fried chicken and red velvet waffles and Beignets let me tell you them suckas were off the chain!! I don't know who in the back frying them wings but homie you doing the damn thing keep up the work!! Until next time Gotti's!

Tionna T.

Yelp
everything was 10/10, from the ambiance, the food, and our waitress Mishayla! this was me and my girlfriend's first time here and we enjoyed ourselves. we will be back!
google avatar

Takisha G.

Yelp
We had reservations so we were seated right away. The DJ and MC were very engaging and they had the vibes set. I ordered a watermelon martini which was perfectly made. I had the catfish and grits with a side of waffles. The food was seasoned but my grits and waffles were cold. I could tell my waiter was a little annoyed by the other party he had, but was fine with us and we tipped him extra just because. As we were leaving, it was shot o'clock so we were able to do shots (free) before we left. It was a little smaller than I expected, but the vibe was nice. I will definitely be returning
google avatar

Corinthia H.

Yelp
We had a great time and vibes. Our waitress Jaida was great. She had recommendations and was always available and quick. I did not like the Zaytovens Delight and she was quick to help me find a more suitable option for me. The House Pasta was great. I love a Rasta pasta! We just happened to walk in and had a great time! Music was great also!
google avatar

Brandon J.

Yelp
OK for starters, it's a little bit difficult to find off the beaten path but you can definitely tell by the music outside what's going on it's definitely a vibe if your Instagram or or a social media person you're going to love all the backdrops. All the colors and TVs and stuff, however the space was a bit hot for me and my wife I would think at the prices that they would have a little bit more air conditioning. Great date spot awesome birthday spot table next to us had at least 20 people there so it's great for large groups. Now to rate meal the cat fish and grits 9/10. I definitely give the the lamb chops nine out of 10, 0/10 the eggs I got zero out of 10 the sausage I don't believe it was real pork. Also ask for Marcus! Ask for Marcus when you come in and he's very accommodating. And very good server.
google avatar

Alicia N.

Yelp
The food is okay, but more fit for club/lounge experience. My favorite was the Cajun beignets tho. I got an order of 2( not pictured). I also had the blackened fish and shrimp over dirty rice. It was a nice portion and it's served with sweet hush puppies and a piece of sweet jalapeño bread drizzled with honey butter. I'd rate it a solid 3.5./5. The music and vibe is cool if you just want to come chill and have drinks and appetizers. I can wouldn't say it's a place to have dinner, but they do offer plenty of food options. I'd definitely go back and try something different. I heard the pasta is good with shrimp added. The staff is really nice and attentive as well. Good place to get happy hour or brunch perhaps.
google avatar

Mike M.

Yelp
I had lunch here last week while in the area. My order was for a bowl of the chicken and sausage gumbo for $14 and had them add shrimp for another $2. The food was delivered less than 10 minutes later. The first thing I noticed was that the amount of gumbo didn't come close to filling the bowl. It looked like I was shorted a few spoonfuls. Taste wise the gumbo had a dark roux that was flavorful and the content amount was acceptable. The added shrimp didn't amount to much and even though it was only $2 extra I didn't think it was worth it. This meal was ok but didn't stand out to me so that's why I give a 3 overall score.
google avatar

Ty H.

Yelp
The lobster was amazing!! My husband got a ribeye but there was a bone and it was more like a sirloin the steak was super flat like a breakfast steak. ( Pretty sure that was a lie and not a rib eye) Wouldn't recommend the steak, but the fried lobster was yummy!! Only other complaint is they gave us plastic silverware.. that's a negative, fork all flimsy when trying to grab the meat. But the vibe!!! Lounge with great music vibes (throwback and all).
google avatar

Briann R.

Yelp
Gottis is a fun place to have brunch. They definitely create the vibes in a fun way with music and an MC, but also with bingo! The menu is the standard houston brunch menu, and the cocktails are tasty. I will say they didn't honor reservations in the best way. We reserved tables and still had a bit of a wait. But overall nice brunch to hit espec before Chapman & Kirby.

Yelp
We we're very pleased with the food & the service albeit the sevice was really slow was on point. Our waiter was exceptional. The young lady who greeted us was also very professional. She actually googled to find out for us if we had to pay the metered parking while having a disabled placard displayed. Our only complaint is that my wife ordered the lobster & fried rice. The lobster was cooked perfectly, and the fried rice was actually cold. They resolved this matter quickly, but the portion of fried rice was like a child's portion. You would think with the price of the dish you would get a sufficient amount of fried rice with the lobster. I ordered all you can eat crab legs, & they were delicious. We will most definitely return to Gotti. Also, the ambiance was all that you would expect it to be.

Yelp
I wanted to try a nice lunch and support a new business. I found out about Gotti's on TikTok. I should have known what to expect when I saw the grass wall with neon sign and menu with lamb chops. The same stuff just different name. We had the lamb chops which were very small over a bed of dirty rice which was pretty good ($34.99). The portions are very small. We also had the fried lobster over seafood rice which was decent, but not excellent or worth ($34.99). Our drinks were watered down and weak for $14 and $16 per drink. Of course they added 20% automatic gratuity. Overall the decorations are nice. The food is average and the service is poor. There were only (2) people eating when I went and the wait times were 20 minutes for a drink, and 32 minutes for food. There was nothing special that would keep me coming back. So very disappointed.

Yelp
The food was good. I really enjoyed the blacked catfish&shrimp. The service was absolutely amazing. Our server Amani was great. She was very attentive. The ambiance was really nice fie the "bad and bougie" theme.

Yelp
we were told it would be a hour wait after a hour we go back inside for her to tell us she does not know how much longer it would be and continues to sing with the other host at front. . I'm not from Houston I was visiting and I will never come here and will tell everyone else as well.

Yelp
We loved this place! Vibe: 9/10 Drinks: 8/10 Food 10/10 Service: 9/10 Let me just say the food here was delicious!!! Like my mouth is watering just thinking about it ha! We got the red velvet chicken and waffles, the shrimp and grits, and a piece of catfish. The grits are sooo good here, and the Gotti's sauce that went on top, chef's kiss. We also got a mimosa carafe (this was watered down). We told our waiter and they replaced it. This places is very busy and I would say a mid sized resturant with not much room to walk around. So I recommend coming early especially for brunch. The DJ was great but the music is pretty loud, so if you are looking for a turn up brunch spot this is surely the place for you. We will surely be back the next time in Houston .

Yelp
Went for Sunday Brunch with a group. Parking is not the easiest at this location. If you get there early you may be able to find street parking. If not there are lots nearby, but they can be pricey. From $12-$40. Our party had a reservation but we could not be seated until half of the party arrived. Once we were seated, our waiter was attentive and promptly took our orders. I ordered the red velvet chicken & waffles with the signature Gotti Punch. It was very good, the chicken came out piping hot. I did have to ask for butter (as did everyone else that ordered waffles). I think it should be a given that butter is served with waffles. The menu prices were average for some options, but there were others that seemed a bit pricey. The vibe was excellent! The DJ kept the party lit and everyone in the place enjoyed the music. There were a couple of rounds of brunch bingo that made for a good time. As part of a large party, I expected the gratuity added to the bill. What I didn't expect was that there would be an option to add an additional tip on my personal check. No thank you, I'm not tipping twice. Nice restaurant if you want to go for a fun vibe. Hookah, mimosa carafes & towers with great music. The parking situation and fact that we got booted from our table when there were other open tables available are enough for me not to return.

Yelp
Well, this is a great place for a weekend brunch for the girls or group of friends. This is not a kid friendly place. Visited on a Saturday with my sister and my 2 sons (11 and 4). There is no kid's menu. So you can imagine the demographic that they cater to. Walked in at noon and was immediately seated. They have brunch hours and have a limited menu available during this time. Ordered the catfish and grits and red velvet waffles and chicken. My sis got the lamb chops. The lamb chops were small. They must have gotten those off a baby lamb. I must admit that the food was flavorful. They were seasoned well. The grits would have gone over well too had they not been cold. The red velvet waffles just tasted like waffles with red food coloring. Beware the prices are steep and the portions are small.

Yelp
The service was great but the food was lack luster unfortunately. Appetizer came out cold and burger was significantly overcooked. The drink was good. I like the vibe and atmosphere. I will try it again because Zoe took great care of us!!!

Yelp
Had a really good time here even though the crowd was a bit younger than me. Has the catfish with cheese grits and greens (they were out of macaroni and cheese). Everything was delicious.
