20 Excellent and Child-Friendly Restaurants in the East Bay

"The little roadside hamburger joint that could, originally Taylor’s Refresher in St. Helena, now has restaurants throughout the Bay Area. The Walnut Creek location has the benefit of space, offering ample seating inside and out, plus being situated within the outdoor shopping hub of Downtown Plaza. Some go for the fish tacos, others for the barbecue-sauced, bacon-and-mushroom-topped Wisconsin burger, and yet others for the classic double-cheeseburger. The kids menu features the standard greatest hits but mini corn dogs are a special treat. Beer, wine, fountain drinks, and all sorts of shakes and floats round out a happy family meal." - Laura Smith Borrman

Google
Gott's tops the list of must-visit eateries in Walnut Creek. International tourist? Go to Gott's. On a date? Got to Gott's. In the Bay Area visiting family or on business? Go to Gott's. Local who doesn't want to cook? Go to Gott's. I don't see crowds like this anywhere else in Walnut Creek. (Protip: Avoid weekends and holidays.) I don't think I've ever heard as many languages spoken under one roof, either. Just about every other time I come, I'm hearing Spanish from the table behind me, Mandarin from the one in front of me, Farsi from two tables down, Russian from the family walking down the aisle, and Japanese from the ladies standing in line. Everybody loves Gott's. It's good old casual American food at its best. Everything on the menu is great, period, and it's worth coming back every month to try the new seasonal specials. I personally get the basic burger most of the time to save a couple bucks but you can't go wrong with any of their fancy burgers, either. And don't sleep on the bar, either. Gott's has a great selection of tasty craft brews on tap at a pretty reasonable price.

The place looks nice, the service is good no complains (but it’s a fast food place so they don’t really do that much). The food is bad hamburger didn’t taste like hamburger they should use real meat for it idk. The chicken tenders super heavy and oily, fries were nice. Lemonade was the star of the show so if u want lemonade come here (the only thing is that it’s gonna be TAX). Really expensive place for the food they offer.

Google
I know others rave about this place, but I’ve been twice and it’s average in my opinion. It was a good burger, but nothing special. You order at the front and pick up your food, so there’s not much in regard to service. It’s a large open space with tables and an outside area. So, it can get loud inside and loses the feel of an intimate meal with someone. Although the soft serve we purchased before we left was very good! I wouldn’t choose to return.

Came here for lunch with cousins and didn’t disappoint. I enjoyed the ahi burger and love that they have lots of choices for everyone even the kids. Will have to come back to try the rest.

Google
Gott’s is always a solid choice! We enjoyed burgers, shared fries, and elote, and everything was consistently delicious. The menu offers a great variety, so there’s something for everyone, and I especially love their seasonal specials—they’re always a treat. We wrapped up our meal with a yummy ice cream cone, which was the perfect way to end the evening. It’s a fantastic spot whether you're dining in or enjoying the outdoor seating on a warm summer evening. Highly recommend for a relaxed and tasty meal!

Google
This is my first and definitely my last visit. The service was awful, and the burger was even worse(not cooked medium rare at all). I wasted $16 on something that wasn’t even worth a McDonald’s meal. As I sit here typing this, I don’t even know where to begin. The cashier had an attitude while taking our order, and we waited 30 minutes for a burger that arrived cold, messy as if it had been sitting out for ages. The fries were dripping with oil, so we asked for the entire order to be remade—only to wait another 20 minutes. I even had to run back to refill my parking meter. Never again. This place is an absolute joke.

Google
Every time I order via caviar or DoorDash, they never include the mayo sauce that comes with the Fried Brussels sprouts. I’m paying for this sauce, yet they always make sure to NOT include it. Will I ever get the order that I paid for?

Google
Has vegan options that are GOOD! Crowded but that's because it's popular. Lots of space. Wish they had a dairy free chocolate+vanilla soft serve flavors bc it looked so good!

Yelp
I went to gotts and ordered the avocado tacos and wasn't sure if they would be that good. BUT, they we are the most delicious thing ever and the street corn too. Also the pistachio milkshake was lowk the beat milkshake i've ever had. All this, along with the overall vibe of the store and kind workers made it such an enjoyable experience to eat there with my family. Would recommend (:

Yelp
Stopped by Gott's for lunch while I was in town & got the Baja Fish Tacos with a side of Garlic Fries & the Pistachio Shake! Everything was great! Walked in, there was no wait. The food came out quickly & the customer service was excellent. Staff were super friendly! The garlic fries have always been my favorite, the fish tacos were also full of flavor & the pistachio shake was so good! It even has pieces of pistachio in it. YUM.

Yelp
First time coming here. I got the kimchi burger. There was a small wait, but the wait to get my food was longer. This place gets busy at night, so it's ideal to find a table in advance. The burger was decent, but probably not worth the price. The strawberry lemonade was okay. They have a good selection of food otherwise and a nice atmosphere. There is parking across the street.

Yelp
Came here for a light snack on a Saturday evening. We split chili cheese fries and a cookies n cream milkshake. - Milkshake: delicious with large chunks of Oreo (or knock off oreos) throughout - Chili cheese fries: can be a good side for one person or a small appetizer for two people

Yelp
Another great visit. Decided to just have dessert today. It was hot and it's Sunday, so why not lol. The peaches were delicious. The crumble was good but it does contain pecans. Bummer for the Kid who has a nut allergy. The service is a little on the slow side after you place your order. But it's a family vibe and always busy.

Yelp
The Falafel salad is the best thing that I've ever eaten at Gotts. I like it to much that I didn't mind that I forgot to ask for the salad dressing on the side and to remove the feta cheese. I'm so happy because last time, he overcooked burger was super disappointing especially for the overly priced items. I liked that we were able to get parking in the back, and it was pretty convenient to scan the QR code, and I always like cheaper or free safe parking spaces.

Yelp
I've been going to Gott's roadside since I was a little girl and now that I'm older I love it even more and I'm so happy there's a location in Walnut Creek. I come here almost once a month specifically for the chocolate peanut butter milkshake. It's my favorite when I'm craving something sweet and comforting. The subtle peanut butter which the chocolate Nutella sauce at the bottom really makes for something decadent. I usually also get garlic fries, they are always cooked to perfection never soggy. I sometimes ask for well done tho pro tip. The chicken Cesar salad is always mouth watering. Today I asked for warm grilled chicken instead of the cold chicken it usually comes with and it really made a difference. I also love the hot dog, bacon burger, chili, and impossible chicken nuggets! The service usually is mid level at this location ever time I come it's a weird energy with the staff I've never had service like they love to help and be there it's more like they hire young people who prefer to talk with their coworkers than give you the time of day or talk about the menu. They also have a slow wait time and you might get your food cold or mildly warm but the flavor is a knock out every time. I actually got a parking ticket so be very careful parking in the Ross parking lot. There's plenty of seating inside with an industrial vibe picnic tables as well as outside that's well shaded.

Yelp
Yum! My fiance and I were looking for a good burger spot and stopped by this place. Their price is a bit high for a "fast food" style place but makes sense for the area. For starters, you have to order first then find a seat. It can be chaotic finding a seat/table for larger groups so I suggest telling one person in the party to order while others try and find a seat. We went on a Saturday around 1:30pm and it was packed. I got the chicken burger which was pretty good. It came with a pickled slaw, cucumbers, and a spicy sauce. I think it was Asian fusion style so it was right up my alley. The fries were also delicious and the chilli was good. I think our total came out to about $54 for two burgers and 2 fries, before tip. Overall, I think I'd be back if I was in the area but it isn't necessarily the best burger spot. I recommend trying this spot for a good American or fusion style burger/sandwich.

Yelp
Fantastic, ultra kid-friendly burger restaurant located in downtown Walnut Creek. Incredibly clean, good energy, very safe for kids on the spectrum. The food is 5-star delicious, the service is fast, and the tables are plentiful. We ordered orange floats, tacos, fries, and chicken tenders. Dad ordered the kimchi burger. All of the food was good, but the kimchi burger gave me an honest to god "wow" moment on first taste. So good. Absolutely worth a special trip if you have kiddos who get the wiggles during meals, but you still want to eat some gourmet food and sit for a spell. (I would like to give a special shout-out to the young lady bussing tables yesterday. She was an absolute force of nature, keeping that place spotless, and 100 percent deserves a raise. Well done!) A+ all around. We are definitely coming back.

Yelp
All I have to say is, this some expensive ass fast food. I'm glad I tried it but it wasn't anything special. They have a pretty extensive menu with lots of options but nothing really stuck out. If you're looking for fast food burgers, I'd just go to in n out.

Yelp
This place seems like one of those overpriced places to avoid but they have such nice open seating great for large groups when not too busy and outdoor seating on a nice day. For those that want to watch a game there's also bar seating. And, most importantly, fresh tasty foods. First time we came was during their 25th anniversary and they had monthly specials. We lucked out and had their amazing ::::fried green tomatoes:::: special. We came back a second time that month cause it was so good. They have some creative burgers to choose from but they're big so we usually just split one. So fresh n delicious. Coincidentally, they had burgers named after places I was just about to travel to so I've tried the Wisconsin and Texas ones so far! Their food pickup situation is kind of strange tho. Order at entry. If u get soft serve pick it up just to the left of where u ordered. For the rest of ur food, go to the deep end of the restaurant and there's a counter. They also have their condiment bar over there w organic ketchup and their house hot sauce which is pretty tasty. Plenty of parking out back but it can get busy on weekends. Paid street available as well.

Yelp
I was excited when Gott's expanded to Walnut Creek! I came here with my boyfriend and we shared a burger, garlic fries, and crispy brussel sprouts. The service at the counter is always friendly but the rest of our experience wasn't as smooth. The restaurant gets crazy crowded on the weekends and it's nearly impossible to find a table. It's pretty loud with lots of kids running around. We waited about 20 minutes for our food to come out. Our western bacon blue ring burger was good! We would swap out the cheese next time for cheddar. The garlic fries were way too oily and not garlicky enough. We both liked the crispy Brussels the most!

Yelp
Burgers! Ahi burger! Salads, fish taco's, milkshakes and cones. What in the F is not to like? Walnut Creek location is a different experience than SF or Napa but the food is consistently the same; fresh and delicious!

Yelp
Came here for lunch with cousins and didn't disappoint. I enjoyed the ahi burger and love that they have lots of choices for everyone even the kids. Will have to come back to try the rest.

Yelp
Came into downtown Walnut Creek for a late lunch and happened upon Gott's Roadside. There was no wait and we ordered at the counter. Very easy to place order and found seating outside. It was a little cold so I appreciated the heaters! Food came out in ample time. I ordered the cheeseburger and my husband ordered the bacon cheeseburger and we shared fries. Everything was very tasty! The burger bun held up nicely too, which is a huge plus!! I'd definitely eat here again when in town. Cute little spot!
google avatar

Yelp
Place is great, always full of business especially in the summer. The place has outdoor seating and heaters as needed, I love the garage style doors that open in the summer! The food is always tasty, ahi poke tacos is one of my favorite items off the menu even tho it is a burger place. The last burger I had was tasty but the bun was on a dry side which was a bummer. I like the seasonal specials and will be back to a burger again!

Yelp
I finally decided to try this spot after passing by often. There's a ton of burger joints in Walnut Creek, but I was actually very impressed and satisfied with Gott's and their menu that also offers a plethora of alcoholic beverages. I ordered the California Burger and shared garlic fries and sweet potato fries with my family. The burger could definitely be bigger but the toppings were the perfect combination with a fried egg. It wasn't messy to eat at all compared to other spots. The ranch was mind blowing (if you like ranch, you'll understand). The staff were nice and the prices were average. I'll definitely return to try more items from the menu.

Yelp
Had an awesome meal at Gott's Roadside! I went with the garlic fries and a cookies & cream shake, both were insanely good. Fries were golden and packed with flavor, and the shake was thick, creamy, and exactly what I needed. My friend had the grilled chicken salad along with a peanut butter chocolate shake, and they couldn't stop raving about it. Everything tasted fresh, savory, and just downright satisfying. Definitely one of those places you crave again after the first bite.

Yelp
After coming here the first time close to closing time for dinner, I knew I want to come back during the day. This review covers both visits. PARKING: It's nice they have a shared lot to park for free, but it definitely gets filled during the day. At night you can park anywhere and on the streets for free. During the daytime you can also park over by the shopping mall for free the first 3 hours. TIP: You order first before sitting down. So if there is a long line, order online! It's like skipping the line to order and that takes you straight to waiting to pick up your order. Here's what I've had: GARLIC FRIES - $4.99 Tossed in garlic butter and parsley. Only because it's just $0.50 more than regular fries. But I realized I would have preferred just regular fries cuz these just tastes like extra greasy fries. And when it's extra damp, the fries has a different texture almost as though it's stale. No go for me, but I still ate them cuz it's in front of me. ONION RINGS - $4.99 Thick and beer battered. Lightly salted. Oh yeah these were pretty good, and done how I like it! When you take a bite you're not pulling the entire ring inside out. It has a nice balance of sweetness from the onion and I love the light and crispy batter. CHILI - $5.99 House-made beef & bean chili made with craft beer. Topped with cheddar cheese & green onions. To my surprise I was not at all impressed with the chili. Not sure what more I was expected, but it was just okay. I'm still glad I tried it, and know not to bother next time. So many other items to try! CHEESEBURGER - $10.99 American cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, pickles & secret sauce on a toasted egg bun. Gotta have the simple regular burger (with cheese) if I'm trying their burgers for the first time. And oh yea, it's a solid one. I love the soft buns and juicy patty. Yummy! CALIFORNIA BURGER - $16.99 Fried egg, Cowgirl Creamery's Wagon Wheel cheese, Zoe's bacon, arugula, balsamic onions & mayo on a toasted sesame brioche bun. Didn't realize this was on a sesame bun, which I'm not a fan of. I wouldn't have not known it was a brioche bun either. It was still a very good burger though! CITRUS & AVOCADO CHOP SALAD - $14.99 Romaine & red leaf lettuce tossed with asado spice-rubbed chicken, cilantro-pumpkin seed dressing, oranges, tomatoes, black beans, pickled red onions & quinoa, topped with avocado, toasted pumpkin seeds & Cotija cheese. Wow, this sure hits the spot! I'm so glad I got this salad! It was so good, with all the variety of ingredients! You have the sweet citrus fruits, the richness from the avocado, dressing and cheese, and all the seeds and everything else. This place is great for large groups, and they have lots of seating options: You have inside, outside along the deck, and their side patio. I'm definitely coming back!

Yelp
Came here for an office lunch & honestly cannot wait to come back. The staff is very nice & I feel they sensed it was my first time there... so the man taking my order did a good job at making me feel welcome & also offering additional items that I wouldn't know was an option as a first timer. There's a lot of seating indoor & out, which is great! Food was 10/10, I just wish I couldn't tried a lot more haha. There were so many options that sounded really good & each month they have new/seasonal items. Their teriyaki chicken sandwich was so good. I was afraid the chicken would be dry... but it was not, at all. I tried their fried green tomatoes (September seasonal item) the flavor was good but I'm used to my fried tomato being thinly sliced, so I wasn't used to the tomato being "overpowering." Can't wait to go back!

Yelp
This place is always crowded and finding parking is a challenge, but the food is worth it. The staff is helpful and they work hard to keep things neat (despite the customers). I had the green Chile burger as a lettuce wrap - I asked for well-done, because their standard is medium -well. My son had the Chicken Kale Cesar (huge) and we shared the fried Brussels sprouts and some sweet potato fries. Everything was well- made and delicious! Being there on a Saturday is somewhat trying - lots of families and little kids, so it can be noisy and chaotic. Again, though, the food is worth it!

Yelp
Expensive, Tasty Burgers [Walnut Creek CA] We came here on a Sunday afternoon right around lunch time at 11:45a. I did not do the ordering, my kids did while the rest of us went outside and sat in one of the many picnic benches under large umbrellas. The weather was nice, not too hot, even felt a slight breeze at times. I was excited to try this place because I have not made it to their Napa or their SF locations... and here we were in the East Bay in Walnut Creek. The outdoor dining was pet friendly. We had our dog with us. The little food buzzer alerted us at about noon and one of us went inside to pick up our food. I ordered the Bacon Cheeseburger. Others in our party got Kimchi Burger, Ahi Poke Crispy Tacos, California Burger, and Chili Cheese Fries. Daughter didn't like the beans on that Chili Cheese Fries. My Bacon Cheeseburger was delicious, even without the pickles and onions, which I opted not to include, it was still huge and was filling. The prices are on the high side... $14 for my Bacon Cheeseburger, no fries included. Drinks were separate. Good burger though. Review #3436

Yelp
This place is really busy and popular. The burgers are really good and they have a full bar for wine and spirits and beer.

Yelp
Big, spacious location that is clean with friendly service. The Dungeness crab special was OUTSTANDING. They even offered to cut it in half for us when they heard we were sharing. Chili cheese fries were fine but next time might opt for the garlic fries instead - the cheese kinda stuck together and didn't melt onto the fries.

Yelp
I've wanted to try the original location in Napa for a while but I never venture that way so when I saw they had a Walnut Creek location I was all in. My visit was yesterday (Saturday) and the line was out the door! I parked and ordered online but the downside is they don't allow any substitution other than removing items. I ordered the Bacon (I'll get back to that) Double Cheeseburger with Onion Rings and my daughter ordered the Wisconsin Burger and Chili Cheese Fries. The bacon double cheeseburger was too big, I should've ordered the single because those patties are really thick. They forgot my bacon and that's a 2.00 difference than the regular double cheeseburger. Seems like this location needs to pay attention to orders because I've seen too many reviews with items missing from the burgers that make a price difference. I want my money back for what I didn't get. The onion rings were delicious and they remained crispy for quite a while. My daughter liked her food with one complaint - the BBQ sauce on her burger tasted like Ketchup so we don't know if this was a mistake or if the BBQ taste like Ketchup, so next time she'll just remove it.
google avatar

Kaitlyn L.

Yelp
Two words: garlic fries. If you come to Gott's, you can't skip the garlic fries! They are bursting with garlic flavor, perfectly moist inside yet a satisfying crunch on the outside. I also tried the bacon cheeseburger, which was a solid choice. The soft serve is also a star to finish off the meal. This location was super packed on the weekends, with families and kids running around so it was kind of hard to find a table.
google avatar

Travis L.

Yelp
Today I went into Gott's thinking that service would be between 15-20 minutes for the two items I ordered. Instead I waited for 35 minutes to get chicken tenders and chicken Caesar salad. I am disappointed by the extremely SLOW service with no area to wait besides standing around the bar area. Complete chaos today and was hoping for a better experience.
google avatar

Jean P.

Yelp
$18 burger. Nothing too inspiring about it and the vibe was overrated for a self service meal. In short, it was mostly blah. A much better value and superior service can be found at In-N-Out burger at a fraction of the price.
google avatar

Veronica S.

Yelp
Not as good as it used to be :( I've always loved Gotts. Haven't had it in awhile and needed dinner before going back home so we stopped here. The first thing that the cashier tells me once I walk in the door is "can you please close the door" okayyy... not even a "hi, welcome to Gott's?" Kind of rude. We ordered a cheeseburger, ahi sandwich, onion rings, and garlic fries. I would say that I enjoyed the sides better than the burgers. I noticed that theyre using a potato bun instead of a regular bun, which I really did not like. With the potato bun you're getting a whole lot of bread. The only time I enjoy potato bread is if i'm eating a chicken sandwich, which I wasn't, So much so that i didn't even eat all the bread on my burger. They also say that the burger is cooked medium well so it's a little pink on the inside, but it was definitely more on the medium side and wayy too pink. I'm just glad that i didn't get sick with food poisoning. I probably won't come back to eat at a Gott's for awhile (until I forget about the experience I had here lol)

Yelp
Updating this review because this location has come A LONG WAY. I actually think it's the best location in the Bay Area now. The food is consistent and delicious. The staff is very friendly and it's a big spacious area (compared to Napa, Ferry Building and Corte Madera) Bravo WC.

Yelp
Solid spot to grab a burger and salad. It's located in the shopping area of Walnut Creek, great downtown area. I love how there were ample outdoor seating for a nice Saturday that's also dog friendly! Our little fur baby was able to join us during the lunch. We got the jalapeno burger, Vietnamese salad, an a pint of Pliny (yes they have pliny!). Total came out to a little less than $50. Standard pricing across the bay area unfortunately. We got our food in 10 minutes around 430pm on a Saturday. Lines started building up by the time we left though! The burger had really good quality beef, but other than that, the burger tasted pretty standard. The Vietnamese salad came with pieces of fried chicken meat on top, I loved it! Even though it's not truly authentic Vietnamese flavors, I still loved the salad. Flavorful, light, and the fried chicken strips on top were wonderful. Wish I can eat this salad everyday! Overall, it's a good option if you want something quick and delicious. There's something for everybody from burgers to salads to tacos to alcoholic drinks. Would totally come back here if we're in the area!

Yelp
Best impossible burger in my opinion. Plenty of options for different palates and their seasonal offerings are always appealing AF. Fun casual spot for good food. Parking can be a bit tricky downtown.

Yelp
Absolutely solid burger place that is very family and pet friendly. I always take my mom here whenever I visit because it is her favorite weekend lunch spot. The line is often long during this time but it goes by pretty quickly. There's a nice outdoor seating area with clean benches and fake grass. It's perfect for when I want to bring my dog out and especially relaxing on a sunny day. Definitely one of the main highlights of this place. As for the food, the burgers are great! Super juicy and extremely filling. It looks small at first but by the end I'm struggling to breathe. Both the garlic fries and sweet potato fries are delicious, especially with their special ranch and hot sauce. I don't know what they put in the ranch here but it's absolutely delicious! As for the chicken sandwiches, skip them. I tried both the Chicken Schnitzel and Crispy Teriyaki Chicken. They were ok but far below other chicken sandwiches like from Chick fil a or Popeyes. Flavoring and texture were both meh.
google avatar

Aida M.

Yelp
Honestly, I'm always disappointed when I come to Gott's. I got the bacon cheeseburger, fries, and the cookies & cream shake. The bacon cheeseburger was dry and the bun quickly fell apart. The fries were pretty bland and the shake was practically melted when it got to me. For $28, I would expect more quality. They served the food quickly and they had an open seating area with indoor and outdoor seating, which was nice since it was a lovely day. I just wish the quality of food was better.
google avatar

Juan S.

Yelp
Beautiful spot in a great location if you're shopping and need a bite. Unfortunately the burger is not particularly good. For some reason the bun was cold, like just out of the refrigerator and not toasted, cold. And the bun to meat ratio wasn't great, way too much bun. Also waited long enough than I would have expected for a cheeseburger order when there wasn't a big crowd. Too bad.

Yelp
First time dining inside and ordering for here. My mom had brought back food from here a really long time ago. I had their ahi tacos (3 pieces). This time I had their Vietnamese salad with fried chicken. OMG it was so good! I was hesitant at first on what to order because I had gone to the gym earlier, lol. But I do not regret the decision to eat fried chicken! The flavors of the salad were really nice. I would definitely order this again. My aunt ordered the ahi tacos and now I remember how they looked and yes, they looked good. I would also order that and a side of sweet potato fries, haha. Though I hear they're usually known for their burgers - which people in my group did order and everyone was happy with their meals. The inside is bright, big, lots of seating inside and out, however if you drop in during the height of their busy hours, it may be difficult to find a table - especially if your group is big. There are a lot of families who come here to eat - people of all ages! They should have had more than one at the cash register taking orders, but other than that... the menu is printed large on the wall when you walk in and you pretty much order, get your drinks up front, and you pick up your food on the other side of the room when it is ready at the counter.

Ellyzha A.

Yelp
One of my favorite places to eat whenever I'm in downtown Walnut Creek. They are pretty consistent with the food quality. Thai Chicken Salad: my go-to! The chicken is so crispy and the greens are so fresh. The dressing isn't too heavy either. 9.5/10 Sweet Potato Fries: Large portion and the dressing from the Thai Chicken Salad goes well with it. 9/10 Chicken Schnitzel Sandwich (Protein Style): My boyfriend ordered this and he said they were lacking on the chicken. If we're ordering a chicken schnitzel, we're hoping to at least get a nicely sized cut of chicken. 6/10 Service is quick and attentive. It's the busiest during weekends of course, but if there's a line, it goes by quick!

Yelp
We were craving a burger while in the area, so we finally decided to try Gott's. Our expectations were let down, so I'd recommend to go somewhere else for burgers. The burgers are not worth their costs in my opinion. At around $13 a burger, the portions are small and it doesn't come with any sides like other places. We tried the Wisconsin burger and the Texas Avocado burger, both underwhelming. We also ordered a side of onion rings, which we enjoyed the most. I also docked another star because every table was dirty, and we even got sauce on our clothes from the table! It wasn't busy and there were a lot of staff, so please be more attentive and wipe the tables often.

Yelp
Gotts is a staple for me so i was excited to go back. The large open space of the dining area (converted garage), ample selection of food, and casual style makes this a great place for hanging out with friends or family. I had the Kimchi burger with Garlic Fries. While i was at the restaurant for this visit, both the men's and women's bathrooms were out of commission for the entire hour i was there. This is crazy and kind of unacceptable. Furthermore, the filtered water tap was extremely slow and i would wait several minutes just to get water. Aside from that, let's get to the food. The cashier gives you a buzzer after you order; once it rings you go to the counter to grab your meal. It only took a few minutes for our order to come out. I thought the kimchi burger was great, though it could have done with sweeter kimchi, maybe a bit more of it as well. The gochujang mayo was also minimal so I couldn't taste it much. The taste of the beef patty and bacon was overpowering. The creamy egg in it is a great choice though. It's like an Americans first baby step into Asian food. I wouldn't get it again, my usual order is a Wisconsin burger, as it really plays to Gotts strengths. The garlic fries were underwhelming. The fries were green and bitter with excessive oil and parsley. I didn't get much garlic from them, more so an overwhelming amount of salt and grease. Skip these and go for the classic fries instead. Overall, a typical burger joint in an expensive area, overpriced is not a surprise.

Yelp
Amazing! I ordered ahi poke crispy tacos from here last night for dinner and wow, these tacos are great! They are packed with flavor and even though I'm not a fan of spicy, I absolutely loved it. The service was fast, I was in and out of there in less than 10 minutes with my food. It's definitely a busy place and could tell it was getting crowded as I was leaving. I will definitely be back and order something else on the menu!

Yelp
Service is efficient. Don't be scared by the long queue - it comes and goes. The food is worth the wait. I love the big tables , more private booths and the great outdoor area. Great concept.

Yelp
We've been to the WC Gott's twice and it has been consistently good. I went with the citrus chop salad this past weekend, it was so good and refreshing. They also gave us a little sample cup of vanilla ice cream for our pup (which was very nice of them). Tons of seating inside and outside.

Yelp
Decent place to get burgers and American food. Prices are high and there is usually a wait during peak hours. $43 for two people with only one drink seemed like a lot for what we got but it would have been more if I had gotten the $18.99 calamari special or the $24.99 soft shell crab sandwich. Decided to go with the basics since I'm with a 7 year old hangry kid today. The $10 frose was great (not pictured), especially on a hot summer day when my kid has been whining my ear off. Food came out relatively fast and the garlic fries were meh (True Burger's garlic fries reign surpreme IMHO), but the chicken tenders were surprisingly good (crispy crunchy on the outside and the chicken meat was good). The burger was pretty good and I'm glad I just got the basic one because it's quite filling. Brussels sprouts were a little too well done and a little burnt but still tasty.

Yelp
I can't believe we have never been to Gott's until now! We have our usual dining establishments we frequent when in Walnut Creek but since one of our usuals was closed for the day, we decided to give Gott's a try. For those who have never been there before, allow me to enlighten you. As you enter, there is a large (and I do mean large) menu with all of the offerings displayed. You make your way to the counter to place your order and are given a buzzer which will alert you when your food is ready to pick up at a different counter. Easy and efficient! The style of the restaurant reminds me of a cafeteria in a way with lots of tables in a bare no frills environment. I must say I was very impressed with the menu as there really was something for everyone! Lots of burgers (beef, turkey, or vegetarian), sammies, salads, and even tacos! My husband ordered a double cheeseburger and I ordered the Impossible burger. We shared an order of fries, which was a wise move as the burgers were so filling! Our food was definitely made to order which I love, but the wait time was very reasonable. Everything was so yummy and well prepared. Gott's is definitely a place we will return to whenever we get a craving for delicious burgers and fries!

Yelp
Their vietnamese chicken salad was highly recommended from this place so I decided have it for lunch. I did order my salad to go and was pleasantly surprised by the size and presentation. Huge piece of juicy well battered chicken with a lot of greens and toppings. The red chili peppers add the perfect amount of spicy without it being too overwhelming. The dressing has a light peanut + ginger like taste and compliments the salad very well. I will definitely be back to try more items but I might just reorder the salad...I mean it was pretty amazing!

Yelp
I ordered the California chicken sandwich. I have never had anything so disgusting in a long time. I don't know what they had done to the chicken, there was water dripping from the sandwich, from the lettuce and the sandwich was full of mayonnaise. The thick bread was not toasted and soaked. My husband ordered the crab sandwich and he loved it. I didn't want to ruin his lunch so I didn't say anything. Please pay attention to what you are making. Unacceptable

Yelp
Awesome place with a diverse menu and delicious milkshakes. The service is quick, and the ambience is really nice. You can grab your order to go or dine in--the place is clean and spacious.
