Gourdough's

I was so very pleasantly surprised to see the airstream trailer from the road and realize it was a Gourdough's outpost. Barely a mile from nearby neighborhoods and just across the block from The Hive, this should be a pit stop on any journey that brings you down Menchaca road. The guy working at 9am just a couple days before Christmas was also super friendly, accommodating towards vegetarian requests, and made excellent food.

Love that Gourdough’s opened up a location in south Austin, only downside is that my husband and I will be going here every weekend! Granny’s Pie is one of our favorites, perfectly sweet, salty, and fresh! But really, all of the food is amazing, you really can’t go wrong!

Fun donuts with creative flavor combos. Sweet or savory. Easy parking, inviting atmosphere and yard games for entertainment. So good!

We've been here twice now. The first time was good, we ordered the Ron Burgundy and The Goat. They were very tasty and the donut buns give them a unique flavor and texture profile. We enjoyed them, but thought that the donut buns would have been sweeter. So on visit #2 we asked about it and ended up with a The Goat with a cream cheese icing drizzle in the chicken. Boom! Let me tell you, it's not on the menu but it really should be. And extra points to the chef for doing something that "he's never made one that way before" just because we asked and making it come out so darn tasty. The perfect blend of sweet and savory in a sandwich. On the customer service alone they earned all 5 stars. The excellent food was icing in the cake-donut. On the second trip we also tried the strawberry lemonade. It was 105F outside, we were under the umbrella shade, and the drink was flavorful and supremely, ice-coldly refreshing. One word of caution: the Burgundy is a messy eat; grab some napkins, get your fingers dirty and enjoy.

Trevor absolutely killed it!!, these donuts came out HOT, FRESH, and DELICIOUSLY!! Couldn’t of loved them more. All hail Trevor the Donut King 💦💦

I was so excited to see the Gourdough food trailer being set up. It finally opened and the set up with the umbrellas, chairs, artificial grass, and tables made it a fun place to go and eat some excellent tasting food. The "desert" dishes were obviously fabulous. The one chicken dish, someone in my party had, was a large portion and I'm not sure it's realistic to eat it like a sandwich but the chicken was cooked perfectly and it was still a good meal. Can't wait to try the other menu items. Welcome to South Austin, Gourdoughs!

Plenty of parking, nice staff! Wish the donut was presented a little nicer, but still good!

Wow!! First time to have these donuts. Always heard about them so I'm happy they finally opened a location south. Got the Sin A Bomb and it was so delicious!! Can't wait to go back and try some other flavors.
