新凯丰.Gourmet Delight BBQ Probably one of if not the worst Chinese restaurants/food take out stores in San Francisco China Town. We ordered 3 dishes and one rice, the price was $52! And the noddle and eggplants were cold, probably from last night's left overs. The food tasted very bland, maybe just steam and blend together, not chief made on a wok. Store interior is not even clean If you value your money and stomach, and maybe hope for Chinese food,  please avoid this store at all cost.

Google
Very reasonable, more like a steal. $8 bucks for chowmein, fried rice and 2 item combo. Well worth it. Definitely coming back.

Andy Z

Google
The roast duck was a bit on the greasier side but the value is pretty good.

Kevin Ngo

Google
Hands down one of the best Chinese BBQ I've ever had. Upon my first bite of char siu, I regretted only getting a pound and not more! Their roast duck is also damn good. Staff was super nice and so kind to our kids.

Claire

Google
They intentionally gave me the worst pieces of meat. Literally saw the guy cutting off ends from various pieces to cobble together for me. Each cut was either hard/unchewable or just pure fat - all $60 worth of it. Terrible.

Craig O

Google
Easy, quick, and delicious! Friendly service, and all this for $7 at about 9:00 in the morning! Just 3 tables available if you want to dine in.

Google
I was treated very nice. Bought 10 roasted ducks. My order was taking a bit long because they had to cut them up. The owner fed me a nice platter for free while I was waiting. Who does that nowadays? 🙂

J Z

Google
Very sleazy establishment. Asked for 1 pound of roast pork, but cut a piece that was 1.57 pounds. I would have walked out, but the pork was for a ceremonial offering, so I had to put up with it. Can't really complain since I bought it for my grandparents. Hope they enjoyed it. The piece of pork was $20, plus 5 drumsticks for $7. The per pound price for the roast pork was rather high compared to other BBQ places in Chinatown.

Yelp
This place is located right in the heart of Chinatown on Stockton Street. I was on my way to Good Mong Kok bakery , which it's a few doors away and I saw all these bbq pork, roasted ducks, and chicken hanging from the window and it caught my attention. I walked in and the two friendly employees greeted me right away. This place is kind of small. There are no tables or chairs for customers to sit down to enjoy their food. They have premade hot food items for sale as well besides the bbq items. The fried chicken drumettes looked really good. I decided to buy two pounds and it was $18.00. The fried chicken drumettes smelled really good and they were flavorful. However, they were cold and too dry. They had been sitting around for too long.

Yelp
11/23/2023 Thanksgiving Day After a day of walking down to the Embarcadero and through Chinatown we finally built up an appetite. We tried to stay in line for the other dim sum place a few doors down but our stomachs were a bit impatient so we walked down a couple of doors. This was where the locals were lined up so we decided to give it a try. The small little shop was bustling with a line to the door. The female employees were very efficient getting through all the customers in line. After figuring out what they had we finally had our order ready: -pork siu mai (ginormous, 3pcs/order) -shrimp har gow (ginormous, 3pcs/order) -shrimp rice crepe roll -chives and shrimp dumpling (4 pcs/order) -steamed bbq pork buns (3pcs/order) -sesame balls (ginormous, 3pcs/order) -small steamed white rice TOTAL SPENT = $29 It took us about 30 minutes to get back to the hotel after two more stops but the dim sum held up pretty well. They weren't warm any more but were still yummy. We would definitely come back for dim sum from here. Maybe try some of the other Chinese dishes like the salt & pepper shrimp, egg rolls, or chicken wings.

Yelp
When you think of Chinatown, you think of the fresh ducks and soy sauce chickens hanging from the window. Well guys, this is the spot! Came in to purchase a whole chicken and asked for it to be chopped up, all for $22 which is $6 less than Wing Lee in the Richmond. They sell all sorts of meats by the pound form Roast pork, duck, spareribs, fried chicken wings, pigs feet, chicken feet, etc as well as fully cooked entrees including broccoli beef, mixed vegetables, fried bean curd. They have fried rice, chow mein and chow fun. They also serve rice plates for lunch so cant wait to check that out for lunch later! Edit: I tried the lunch plate with chow mein, veggies and soy sauce chicken. Just not good. Food tasted old esp the chow mein was cold and hard. Veggies was ok. Soy sauce chicken was chopped fresh but not much meat given.

Tina O.

Yelp
Don't go here. The three dishes I got were cold when I got the take out to go. These two veggie dish were very bland with no taste. The lotus root was tough to chew it must have been an older roots had to throw it away. The green beans looked good, so I bought some then when I took a bite it was undercooked with barely any flavor. Definitely don't gets their wings were also cold and wasn't very crunchy at all. Sorry forgot to take a photo. I wouldn't go here for their fried chicken wings either. The people were nice with a smile.

Cathrin P C.

Yelp
First of all, apologies on the roast duck picture because I was so involved in devouring half of the meal before I realized I forgot to take a proper picture!! The roast duck here is pretty damn good for $30. I can't speak for anything else here and quite honestly, judging by looks, you're taking chances by eating anything else here -- the hygiene and sanitation looked really questionable. I see a lot of people like the fried chicken but it looked a little funky... roast duck was bussing though, skin perfectly crispy and the meat juicy with flavor. Duck was too fat and had a good amount of meat. Fed our little family of 3 as the main course. One thing to note is that they do make the duck a little on the sweet side with their glaze. And yes, they do take credit card here. Be prepared for a very squishy and rushed experience though.

John K.

Yelp
I enjoyed the sweet and sour pork and the duck. It's short on ambiance, to be sure. They have a huge selection of things and it can be confusing if you don't know what you want. I thought the take out portions were generous. If you know what you want going in, you'll have a better experience. Being fluent in Chinese would be a plus as well.

Lloyd C.

Yelp
Mom was doing some shopping in Chinatown, going to some bakeries, vegetable/fruit stand, etc. I remembered going into these bbq places, etc so I went into Gourmet Delight BBQ. I just got some steamed book tripe from the lady. Both were super friendly and knew right away I was ABC, though, I knew enough Cantonese to be able to talk to them. The ambiance of the place was your typical small Chinese bbq place, very narrow. And you get your food for takeout only.

An P.

Yelp
Very friendly, super quick service. The food is always consistent every single time and one of my go to in Chinatown for good Chinese food -- especially the roast pork / duck! My dad loves to get the roasted pig's feet, which is almost impossible to find anywhere (everywhere I go and every time I ask, no one ever seems to have it), but this place has the best likelihood of having it! I believe it's cash only (I've only ever paid in cash) and the two gentlemen behind the counter are always preparing everything quickly and efficiently, which I appreciate. Sometimes they are kind enough to throw in a few extra things for free, and are always very nice and friendly!

Yelp
I LOVE THIS PLACE I am an old white guy. I grew up in a 'meat and potatoes' house but had some Asian friends so I got used to eating all sorts of Japanese and Chinese food from a young age. But my tastes are pretty western. Sadly when I have time to get to Chinatown it's usually pretty crowded and not much fun. But I happened to be in SF the day after Christmas and there were hardly any tourists around. When I walked in I got that 'he's a tourist and won't buy anything' look but once I started ordering they took notice and soon there were 5 people helping me, none of whom spoke English and of course I know about 5 words of Chinese and can't pronounce any of them. I got a pound of char siu (bbq pork), a whole roast duck cut up, and some spicy fried shrimp for the ride home (really messy to eat while driving but I am ok with eating the shells so that helps). At $9.99 a pound the duck and the pork are a real bargain. My wife LOVED the duck. I loved the pork and the shrimp and I had a really fun experience going in there. They do have some hot food items but I wasn't as interested in them as the stuff I got. Sadly this place is 50 miles from home so I won't be a regular but I'll come here whenever I get the chance.

Sakkara C.

Yelp
I have been buying my roast duck from here for years and Idk why I never wrote them a review before. Last week I was on mini vacay from work and I decided to come back here because it's been so long since I bought from them but when I walked in the older man who cuts my ducks up for me recognized me. I love that they are always very friendly and this time I realized they have that wonderful mandarin style beef stew that my grandfather used to make at home ( star anise base) it's one of my favorite dishes especially when the weather is cold. I absolutely loved the stew, I'll go back and buy more soon.

J L.

Yelp
This review is for November 2023. Came late near closing. The lady was rambling prices to us really fast that we were getting confused. The roast duck was pretty yummy. It's $16 for half a duck. The price was not even on the menu that's posted on the board. Fried Chicken was good. Most of the chicken feet tasted spoiled and also tasted like cleaning solution. It was nauseating.

Kelly D.

Yelp
Only got barbecue pork, which is double better than what I get at my local ranch. Pretty sure there are better places nearby. Wouldn't try the prepared foods though.

Sandy L.

Yelp
No frills take out spot with homestyle Cantonese foods, roasted meats, and some American Chinese dishes. Well priced and takes credit card! Located right next to a popular dimsum spot but surprisingly none of the foot traffic, but a lot of neighborhood grandmas and aunties traffic. Service is friendly but could come across pushy, like you're interacting with a distant family member.

Christine R.

Yelp
The boss lady is conniving for selling rotten foods to customers. My mom has been a loyal patron of this place, very disappointed it had to come to this. I need to spread the word to unsuspecting tourists who frequent this busy section of Stockton. False advertisement to call it gourmet, it's anything but gourmet delight. I echo what those Yelpers already mentioned i.e., decayed, no longer to be eaten foods, unpleasant smell, overall nasty & gross. How does this place stay in business? Had to take the disgusting chowmein back to boss lady and have her smell it for herself. She doesn't like constructive criticism, instead of apologizing, she yells at customers & states she was generous by filling the chowmein over the top of the box. One customer mentioned how her loud mouth attitude caused spit to land on the foods, losing their appetite. Makes sense now, she was trying to get rid of it, even our dog won't eat such foul smelling crap. The Chef guy is nice, feel bad for him, she barks orders at him. Also feel bad for tourists who got ripped off and arrive back at their hotel without recourse, by then it's a waste of time to go back, simply throw away the nauseating repulsive food. A few Yelpers mentioned they may have gotten sick from the stomach-churning foods. We made the mistake of going close to 5pm when everything has been sitting out all day. This is not how we represent our fair city. Too many legit authentic Chinese take-out places around here to choose from. My fellow Yelpers near and far deserve to know the boss lady's dishonest ways. Eat at your own risk!

Lorena T.

Yelp
Came here to ONLY pick up a whole roast duck and chicken drummettes/wings (choice of spicy with a kick and plain) for our Thanksgiving dinner. This is the go-to-place for a roast duck for my family in Chinatown. We usually ask them not to chop it, so my brother can save the carcass to make juk (Chinese porridge). Mom also likes the plain chicken drummettes which are generously filled beyond the brim of the white Chinese takeout carton, but this time we bought both the spicy wings and not spicy drummettes. Place is always packed. Wait in line for your turn, cash only. Finding parking is terrible in Chinatown, so best to have someone wait in the car while you run inside.

Allison T.

Yelp
I'd give 0 stars if I could ... would not come back nor recommend trying this place. We were pretty hungry so we decided to stop by and grab some food to go. The chow mein was so chewy and doughy it almost tasted like raw dough? I couldn't eat more than 3 noodles without feeling like I was gonna get sick. The sweet and sour pork was so gooey and starchy, I couldn't stand even finishing the one piece I tried either. I can usually eat anything and everything when I'm hungry, but this proved me wrong.

Madison C.

Yelp
the roast duck was amazing for only $30 (it was HUGE). the people were super nice and service was very fast. location is in a very convenient area close to train station.

WK L.

Yelp
There were about 20 flies swarming around the food. The butcher also grabbed the BBQ pork with his bare hands without gloves...

Jo K.

Yelp
I shouldn't gone in here a) there were no customers in the store b) there were a bunch of flies circling around the man . I had a craving for peppered deep fried shrimp I only wanted 4 and asked for it in a bag. The man said no bag only box. I've been shopping there for over 20 years thought that was rude. 4 shrimps $4.50 cold he had stuffed a bunch of inedible green onions to make it heavier. I peeled the shell the shrimp had no flavor. Meh . Besides the yucky food and rude customer service I will never return. RUN AWAY FROM THIS PLACE

Will T.

Yelp
Cash only location. $10 for rice box or noodles with 2 items that's already precooked. The food is amazing and abundant. Their bbq pork, roasted pork and duck is amazing. The express items are also good. Would recommend.

Fei L.

Yelp
At my son's birthday party, the chicken swing is very delusions. The kids very like it.

Ezio C.

Yelp
Very friendly and fast. I came for Good Mong Kok Bakery next door (never tried), but the giant line scared me off. I'll be back another day for that. This place seemed like a decent alternative. The pork shu Mai were decent but lukewarm, absolutely nothing special. the shrimp/chive dumplings had very little shrimp and weren't great. The chicken wings were a good price (I paid ~$4 for 6 crispy wings) but they were pinkish inside and I did not end up feeling comfortable eating most of it. I don't think I'll be back unfortunately.

Lucky C.

Yelp
I was very disappointed! I asked for rice with bbq combo of roasted pork and roasted duck. This is not my first time ordering something like this. They gave me roasted pork that was mostly fat with bone and roasted duck that was probably yesterday old that they reheated with mostly skin and very grayish dried dark meat. To covered the crap that they gave me, they throw in "free" veggie that I didn't asked for. That inedible mess was $10 down the trash when I got home and open it.

Kevin L.

Yelp
Next to my childhood chicken wing spot is gourmet delight with their roasted bbq meats. The owner chef, super cool guy and hooked me up with super fresh hot chow mein. Roast duck super tender and fatty. Chasiu tender as well with hints of fat. Soy choice, perfect sweet soy flavors. Love the chef when they chat with you and call you pretty boy or girl. We speak in Cantonese. Haven't been in years as well.

Tran P.

Yelp
This place deserve a lot more recognition. One of the best duck and roasted pork I have had. Their chicken and tripe I think was very delicious. Friendly worker let use try the food without hesitation. Highly recommended!!!!!

Jorm K.

Yelp
I went in to buy a roast duck , the price was 25 ,. The employee said it was 30 will try to rip you off . Buyer beware . I said it dont be a cheater

Otis M.

Yelp
Gourmet Delight is the BBQ shop three doors down from Good Mon Kok dim sum. I needed half a duck and was actually headed for another spot when I noticed the size of the poultry hanging in the window. I got a really big half duck for $10 and it tasted as expected. Only drawback: they give you a little container of "duck sauce" (orange sweet stuff) instead of the pan drippings. But my duck was plenty moist so I made do. In addition, they have leaf tripe the way I like it, steamed with ginger and scallions. I filled a pint container for $4. Service is friendly and I will be back for more.

Eddy C.

Yelp
Great dim sum type dishes. No frills, friendly service. Seating is very limited if you don't mind sharing with others.

Daniel F.

Yelp
I do not understand how this spot has great reviews. The lady acted like she was giving me a deal, I got a fat box of chow mein and chow fun, chicken wings, and sweet and sour chicken. Kam Po didnt have chow fun this night so we decided to give this place a shot. Literally went home, plated the food, tried it, and immediately threw it out. It was that bad. My girl tried it first and said it's nasty. So it was not just me thinking its gross. I am cheap as hell, but I would rather die than eat that. Ended up eating dim sum and croissants for dinner. Again, it was that bad. Smelled so bad, and it was sooooo oily. I will retreat back to Kam Po.

Bernie C.

Yelp
It's undeniable, Fried chicken drumsticks and me go together. It's unbelievable, But I think I have had better. The one thing you need to know, If you don't know What to get for your meal. Then let me tell you now, What happened to me is real. If the chow mein and pork skin Will reveal...yeah yeah yeah One pound of fried chicken I asked them for. Two pounds they packed without asking and more. Three More items I wanted to add And four The lady looked very glad Five Need to tell them that's enough Once all the packing of the boxes is done, I'll leave this place with just a oneeeee. It's so incredible The food after a little time out. And all emotional Once you smell what it's all about. And undesirable, the food quality that fell apart. I shouldn't have traveled that farrrrr, Cause now I know I'm not very smart.

Billy T.

Yelp
Three pieces of chicken wings with very cold braised tofu and smells-like-2-month-old-scrub-sponge sweet-n-sour pork on top of rice for $10. You'd be much better off to order a 3-item combo box in Panda Express. Just walk 20 more feet north on Stockton to Wing Sing and get a much better 3 item combo box for $6.50.

Chelle E.

Yelp
The noodles were dry and the fried rice were too sticky and wet. There was steam coming out of the trays so we thought it's hot but when we ate it the food was cold. We also ordered some chicken wings but they never put it in our bag. We only noticed it when we got back to our hotel and we couldn't go back because Chinatown was too far from where we staying. They charged us $35 and the food was terrible. They also weigh the food and we told them to stop coz it's too much but they keep putting food on the box. Not coming back here. We threw all the food and i feel like having stomach flu right now.

Harry X.

Yelp
Felt like I hadn't had enough protein for the day, so I ducked into this place to get my roast pork fix. The experience turned out to be a little comical. All I wanted was a pound of pork (I was sharing with a friend, I swear) and some veggies (for fiber of course). Since they were near closing, I could tell the lady up front was trying to get rid of as much food as possible. Before I could say anything, she had already loaded a takeout box with over a pound of vegetables and was eagerly trying to sell me on how great of a deal I was getting. Much miscommunication later, I somehow walked out of this place with about 1.3 pounds of pork and a half pound of vegetables for $11, which is a decent deal, but was way more food than I had planned on. Since the food had likely been sitting out for the better part of the day, I didn't have very high expectations, but it turned out to be decent. The pork was reasonably juicy and the skin was nice and crispy. I'm a bit hesitant to go back though due to the super aggressive sales tactics though...

Niki L.

Yelp
Just no choice, otherwise give zero star. I ordered rib belly and pretty sure with whole big skin covered the meat. When I back to home, i just found one small piece of skin in the box and the bbq pork just fat only. Junk food. Dishonest, Disappoint, Worst of the Worst. Never buy again!!

Sofia R.

Yelp
One of my go-to spots for Roasted Pork and BBQ Pork closed early so I walked over to the nearest spot that was open -- this one! Glad I walked in. The people helping me out were so nice and patient, even offered me a chicken drummette while I was waiting for my order. I'll never forget that! Pretty decently priced. Not necessarily my favorite, but I'm glad I found this place.

Al L.

Yelp
Now that my go-to BBQ deli has closed, I have had to try other establishments to see where I can get my favorite deli foods. Gourmet Delight sells are the popular Chinese BBQ items such as BBQ pork, roast duck, roast pork, pei pa duck, soy and boiled chicken and deli tray items including fried chicken drumettes and drumsticks, beef stew, sweet and sour pork and tripe. So far, I've tried the roast pork and pei pa duck and both were very good. On two visits, I did not get the BBQ pork since it looked dry as if it's been on the display rack for a while. BBQ pork is a popular deli item, but it doesn't appear to be a popular item here. Service is friendly. Good selection of food but disappointed BBQ pork does not appear to be a winner here.

Matt G.

Yelp
Wife had a impromptu phone call from her co-worker telling her to come over to check out her new crib in the Peninsula and bring some food to watch the football games. After we picked up the kids from Sunday school in Chinatown, we landed at this popular Chinese deli, which is only down the hill from the church. The Deli was busy as usual on the weekends and since Chinese New Year is weeks away, this is one of the most popular place to get your items, in preparation for Chinese New Year and other special occasions. We've come here every other week to pick up quick items for a quick meal. This small place have a massive selection of items to choose from for people who're under budget or no time to cook. Wife didn't know who was coming or how many people were going to be at the house-party, so she ball parked the amount of food to get. She bought 5 lbs of Roast Pork ($5.00 per lb), 5lbs of Garlic Drummettes ($3.00 per lb.), 10lbs of chow-mein ($1.75 per lb) 5 lb. of Lemon-glazed Chicken ($3.25 per lb. and one of Matt's favorite) and a couple of other bulky items. All of these popular hot-food items are placed in a sealed foiled pan. Even with the sealed pan, Matt's van smells like garlic chicken the whole day. Believe it or not, all the hot-foods purchased from this Chinatown deli were gone.

Tiffany P.

Yelp
I wished that I can give this store zero star. I told them that I wanted rib belly roast pork several times & showed them where did I want the meat. While I was busy ordering different food, & they cut the ham roast pork (meat on the butt). I didn't know until I got back to the hotel. I bought the food at around 4pm & it already had the bad small of rotten food. Please do not buy food from this store.

Alice X.

Yelp
They make the best chinese style turkey here!! Super juicy and moist! Super friendly chinese people working here!

Violet P.

Yelp
We asked the locals where's a good place to buy BBQ meat and they directed us to this meat shop. I saw the meat hanging in the window but I also saw foil containers filled with various hot foods. Inside, the menu has the food items that I saw and you can buy for reasonable prices. We didn't buy any of that as we were having an early afternoon snack before dim sum but it seemed like a good place to get a take out box of rice, meat, and vegetables. We ordered some BBQ pork and it came in a take out box and they happily provided napkins and fork for us to enjoy on the streets of SF. Service was prompt and friendly. It seemed like a popular spot to buy meat as there were a few people who came in while we were there.

Tram N.

Yelp
I know that marianne w., Peter L, Joanna S., and many others recommended the drumsticks but they were fried and looked very delicious, I must admit. The guy showed me the regular wings and the spicy wings (I see lots of jalapenos) but I did not make any purchase.. I actually wanted an empty to-go box because it's part of something I need to put together tomorrow. The staff were friendly and did not look at me like I'm a weirdo, I offered to pay a buck or two for the empty carton but they did not charge me and even bagged it, gave me a fork, and some napkins. I did buy a Diet Coke from them.. can't exactly get something for free and not make a single purchase. But I will make a stop here on my next Chinatown's visit to support this place.. Awesome. There were 2 staff members that actually spoke English.

Danny C.

Yelp
Still my favorite place to purchase anything for a party or just a large lunch. They have fresh noodles (all types) and fried rice every day, and they sell it for pennies on the dollar. You can get a heaping box of either for less than $5, and you see those glistening roast ducks and that giant roast pig hanging on hooks? Fresh. Every day. A pound of the latter will run you less than $10, and they'll ask you if you want fatty meat, lean, or a combo of half and half. Need the whole damn thing for a party? About $200 and change. Love this place. Oh, did I mention all of the delicious offal and tripe? What a win.

Austin O.

Yelp
I come in here and get a full $6.00 soy sauce chicken all the time. Amazing healthy option at a great price! The people here are also incredibly nice.

Kim N.

Yelp
On this particular day the roast pork skin and roast duck Cantonese style were super tasty. Certainly not good for you but it was fatty, salty, savory goodness. I should have gotten a huge chicharrones but didnt want to walk around with them. The next time

Gordon A.

Yelp
Best fried chicken wings in the City hands down! I've been getting wings here forever but hadn't been in some years due to moving out of the neighborhood. Stopped by today to pick some up and eager to see if they were still as amazing as I remembered. Yup! Still amazing chicken wings!!

FoodLover F.

Yelp
They are always so nice in here. She gives me a sample of anything I point to. But I end Up getting the whole duck, he cuts it up. $15 Language is a bit of problem, I normally have to use my hands to indicate "cut up the duck". It's more of a, point at what you want, type of place.

Lisa C.

Yelp
Stopped by here to try out some bbq pork since we were starving for meat! It was okay and the prices seem reasonable for the bbq meat. This place also offers cooked Chinese food such as fried rice, noodles, chicken wings and the prices were really cheap however not sure of the portion size. The couple there was super friendly and we enjoyed the pork. I would return again to try other things.

Monika T.

Yelp
Nasty place, they serve stale food, especially my favorite the drum stick. I went here to buy some drum stick during peak time of the lunch time, and it tasted totally funky! I would go next door, to the not so clean looking place, and have theirs, much much better!

Hosick F.

Yelp
I always get the chicken chow mein and small fried chicken drumsticks for my kids' parties. Kids like it and prices are good.
