Govinda’s is one of my top vegetarian spots in London because it’s simple, wholesome, and full of flavour. The food feels home-cooked and nourishing, with clean ingredients and just the right amount of spice.
I usually order The Large for £10.95, which already feels like a complete meal, but when I’m extra hungry I go for The Deluxe. Both are hearty, balanced, and deeply satisfying.
They have many kinds of lassis and drinks like mango, rose, mint, and buttermilk. The staff are kind, the atmosphere is peaceful, and prices are very reasonable for central London. When I’m travelling in London alone, I never miss a visit to this restaurant since I first read about it in an article.
There’s a temple upstairs, and even people who weren’t planning to visit often end up coming in for a meal. I saw people walking by and deciding to try it while I was dining outside — that’s how inviting this place is. 💚
