Ok, so, I am not the hugest cider fan, but this place makes pretty good cider. The hot cider on a cold day really hit the spot. The grounds are also stunning and very cozy. What made this experience 5 stars though was the barkeep, Brian (or Bryan, sorry!) He was quite a character, funny, engaging and super knowledgeable. Moreover, when another patron became slightly too verbose about politics, he shifted the conversation away easily to make sure everyone continued to enjoy their stay. Overall, good drinks and good company!

I am gonna sue you for making such a good cider . Just kidding.. I’m so impressed for the perfection of the cider.. the taste is excellent. How come you guys have such a tasty cider… I am gonna be a Gowan’s girl now on. No more wines. Done with the wines. Unexpectedly tasty and quality is top notch. Very good for health watchers. Love you guys 🥂. I am coming to see you guys soon..

Finally found decent cider that does not taste like pure sugar. It was a fun experience, I did the Tasting ($20) and walked around the apple trees in between pours. During winter they have several fires going so it’s cozy and serene. It’s interesting to see the tree age, amazing they are 100-130+ years old.

We had the best time tasting all the ciders at Gowan’s! Truly the best cider we’ve ever had, and the owner is so kind and knowledgeable. I loved how natural the orchard was - and all the apples are handpicked! Would absolutely recommend this stop and their cider. Make sure to ask lots of questions - we learned so much ☺️

My wife enjoys cider and we bought some our last time going through Boonville at a local grocer. This time we decided to stop and have a tasting because the place looks so inviting. We had a very nice time under the shade during our cider flight. And of course we had to buy a few bottles for the road. My wife enjoys cider and says these are some of the best she ever had. Staff is very friendly. Very dog friendly as well.

Stopped by on a whim and learned more than I ever thought possible about apples. The folks here are passionate about their trade and it shows

Been a huge fan of Gowan's apple cider (both alcoholic and non- alcoholic) over the years. So glad that they are finally able to have their own tasting area. Such a wonderful spot, tucked into a grove of apple trees. Perfect for a picnic. They have a great selection of ciders, from tart to sweet and spiced! Truly a little bit of California magic in a bottle!

Cider tasting was a very family friendly option along CA-128. Very relaxing sitting in an old orchard boasting 100 yr+ trees sipping 7 tastings for 15$. Ciders were tasty with a mix of drier and sweeter options, everyone had different favorites. It wasn't too busy so we spent about an hour enjoying the weather and the break from the winding drive. Not serious - but a gingery cider to relieve car sickness would be awesome too.
