I've been waiting to visit since I saw the name of the restaurant on their signage. It is located in the old Wendy's restaurant with some of their old staff. The exterior is phenomenal. They set up couches and tables, come summer time this place is going to be popping. There is a variety of restaurants within walking/ driving distance featuring Mexican, Asian, Italian, Greek, chicken cuisine, and several hamburger joints. The one missing ingredient was a good barbecue place, and now we have it. As soon as you enter, you know you're going to be satisfied with what they have to offer. They made some slight adjustments to how the Wendy's was set up. The major difference is the ice cream parlor and the bar. They have a nice variety of food items to choose from. They were out of ribs on a Sunday evening, but given it was their second opening weekend, it was understood. The food was very flavorful. The Carolina pulled pork was outstanding, and I loved the apple slaw with the mustard dressing to die for! We also ordered some chicken wings and cheese fries. Loved them, too. Three people really stood out. One cashier, who took out order and brought it to us, a young lady who was constantly cleaning and checking up on us and the bartender. All females, no name tags or way to recognize them. The only complaint was that everyone huddled to the left of the cashier, including employees, and most workers were wearing black vinyl gloves out on the floor, making it seem like they also handled food. The bill came out to about $35 for two people, no alcoholic drinks. I definitely will return and highly recommend this place. Welcome to Thornton.
