GQue BBQ Thornton

Visited yesterday. Loved it. We visited another location a couple years ago and it was not good. We were glad we gave them a second try and especially at this location. It was so clean and everyone was so friendly! Kelly checked us out and helped us navigate the menu. She was great! And Kelly the green beans were excellent!! Lots of parking, lots of seating, lots of choices. Accessible.

I’ve been dying to try GQue for years just never had the opportunity since I live up North. Today I found the GQue in Thornton. Food and atmosphere were perfect. I tried the “Meltdown” Sandwich. The cheese sauce was outstanding! Restaurant was clean and very busy for being 3:00pm. I’ve have tried GQue at Empower Field and have enjoyed the Nachos. Just wish we could get rewards for eating at the out lying locations!

This was my first time at GQue BBQ in Thornton, and overall it was a good experience. The brisket was a little dry, which was a bit of a letdown, but everything else hit the spot. The mac and cheese was creamy and tasty, the seasoned fries were perfectly crispy, and the beans had great flavor. The highlight for me was definitely the hot wings with blue cheese — absolutely delicious with the perfect amount of heat and tang. I’d come back to try more of the menu!

We ordered the smoked whole turkey for thr first time and it was really tasty when it was ready. The turkey comes cooked and sealed in a bag, but it is cold and has to be warmed through in low heat in the oven. They give you instructions with the turkeys. It took much longer than the instructions said, by about an hour. They also struggled to find our turkey even though we had gotten a text telling us our order was ready for pickup. You have to order ahead of time for a specific pickup time and then a text notification tells you when to get into the drive thru lane. Even with an order number and the text confirmation, it took a few tries for them to find our turkey. The instructions and pickup issues are the reasons for a 4 star rating. The food is delicious.

My teen son and I always drove by this location on the way to his basketball practice sessions as the restaurant was being put in. I was always curious about it and would mention it every time we drove by. After a while my son would just ignore my curiosity. Well we finally stopped in a few weeks ago and had a quick dinner before his basketball practice that evening. My son's initial thought was, "well at least mom will stop talking about it all the time now". But, as soon as he saw the menu and took his first bite of food he was blown away! Probably the best BBQ restaurant we have had in a long time. He ordered one of the Jack Potatoes with pulled pork and I got their hot honey wings with onion rings! Everything was so flavorful and delicious! The potato was so big, 2 or 3 people could have eaten it! For those who enjoy an alcoholic beverage with their meals, they also have a small little bar inside. And for the after dinner sweet treat they also have a little ice cream shop inside. It's a little pricey, but oh so good! Now we both can't stop talking about G Que! Must try 🤗

This was the 1st time coming here. The food was great, especially the brisket. This was the juiciest brisket I have ever had. I recommend the Mac and cheese and the seasoned fries. The mashed potatoes were so-so. All the other meat we got was great too. Be sire to ask about the complimentary texas toast/picked onions/pickles. I thought the pickles were amazing. It was a bit pricey for a family of 5 to go though.

My grandpa and I ate here yesterday and it was better than the BBQ we ate in North Dallas, Texas! G-Que BBQ has the most tinderest brisket I've ever had in my life, and their jalapeno cheddar smoked sausages are the reason I'm American🇺🇸 This BBQ is so good, it made my grandpa smile for the first time since his service in Vietnam, which he oddly enjoyed as a helicopter pilot. We got so much food for just under $60 and it was all divine! Went in tonight, a couple days after the grand opening to give it a try because I've heard good things about the other locations and was not disappointed! When you walk in its very nice! Clean, upbeat and includes a full bar, outdoor patio and ice creamery! The staff was kind and upbeat. Management walked around greeting most people. I was disappointed that neither manager stopped to check on us, but I'll survive lol. We tried the pulled pork sandwich and The Nashville Hot smoked and fried chicken sandwich. We also got the seasoned fries. The BBQ pork was extremely good! Topped off with the "Hottish" sauce, was definitely a good choice. I can see why its a popular choice. The Chicken sandwich wasn't bad either. It barely had any Nashville Hot sauce on it so we had to add some more of the hottish sauce. Fries were hot and crispy and very well seasoned! Overall it was a good experience. Glad they are in the neighborhood and hope they do well!! I will definitely be back to try some other meats, some ice cream and their $1 happy hour beers!!

The food and the service is excellent every visit and today was no exception. I was there the day before Thanksgiving and the apple coleslaw I ordered was missing, so on my visit today I asked if it was possible to get it. Without hesitation, they gave It to me. Again excellent food, and exceptional customer service.

1st time trying it & it is awesome!!! Definitely worth it & we will be back! Love me some good BBQ

I'm hooked on what Jason Ganahl is doing at GQ-BBQ and have been since my first visit in 2019 when I was a newbie to Colorado. My favorite smoked wings hands down. Multiple locations around town. Pick your spot! Granny Smith apple slaw on The Carolina pulled pork sandwich's Prime Meats and homemade sauce's. Amazing Teams at each restaurant willing to know you as a guest and make you feel at home. 20% off GC's happens a couple time a a year so take advantage. Getting paid to eat at my go to place priceless. Download the app for even more perks. I'd be a wing subscriber for sure if GQ was closer to my homestead. I haven't tried all the hip spots in Denver for wings-honest and always true in my reviews I speak. Indy has a couple places but.... Being a foodie my whole life and a YELPY has given me the opportunity to be on the other side. Go there tomorrow or this week I promise you you'll have a new favorite place to dine! Drive through lane is so convenient. Food is consistently yummy and orders are accurate. Love the friendly service too! We have not eaten inside, but have done pick up and the ice cream counter looks so cute!

First time at GQue was for take out. Ordered the Family Feast and onion rings. The order process was easy and service was quick and friendly. The atmosphere is casual but there is a small bar area. The food was delicious! I had the hot links, pulled pork with beans, onion rings and an order of wings. We'll definitely be back and GQue is our favorite new bbq spot.

Went there on 11/26/25. Went got there around 5pm. It was the day before Thanksgiving so it was very busy. Like us, nobody else wanted to cook at home. When we got there they were out of turkey and brisket. Then while we were there they ran out of beans. The staff was great! Very attentive and friendly. We got the family platter. (1.5 pounds of meat, we got pulled pork and sausage, 3 sides, Mac n cheese, baked beans and coleslaw.). The coleslaw was awesome! So good. The atmosphere was great. Such a change from what that building was before. Will definitely be back. Everything was great!

Love the new location in Thornton! The interior is separated into a bar, an ice cream counter, and a counter or order food. You can order food and drinks at the same counter as well- they have an amazing happy hour with $1 coors and $12 pork nachos m-f 2-5pm. Love the nachos- they have a great ratio of cheese to chip, a decent pile of meat, and lots of fresh ingredients. The pulled pork sandwich was good too- the slaw adds a nice sweet crunch. They had 3 different bbq sauces- original, hotish, and a Carolina mustard sauce. Hotish wasn't hot so much as it tasted earthy, like peppers without the heat. Original was excellent though. Was not expecting to be so wowed by the ice cream- I got the cookie dough and the salted caramel Oreo. Some places the cookie dough is just chunks of flavorless dough, but here it actually tastes like cookie dough! And it has plenty of chunks of cookie dough in every bite. The salted caramel Oreo also had a good salt flavor- not too much, just enough to make it different. Service was very friendly, and everyone was very patient. I especially appreciated the guy at the ice cream counter who talked me through the flavors and was patient as I tried a ton before making my decision. Also, be sure to sign up for their rewards program on their website, as you get a free sandwich! Highly highly recommend and we will be back.

Faith and Steph rock. I arrived at noon and they were busy but with the service they delivered it was as if I was the only one there. I had the Denver Broncos Fries along with a half dozen Dry Rubbed Chicken Wings which were all so delicious. This was my first time at the Thornton Restaurant and it was a great experience. A warm sunny November Day lead us to lunch on the outside eating area and it was a real treat. Looking for Great BBQ in THORNTON, look no further than GQue BBQ.

It's been a minute since I have contributed to Yelp, and what better time than now with this restaurant. We just recently returned from Texas visiting family and we're craving some good BBQ, and had been wanting to give this place a try. It seemed a little pricey, but you can't put a price on good food (you get what you pay for). We took our Granddaughter, and Great Granddaughter (who approved of the Mac and Cheese) and meet a couple other family members (Texans), and we all felt that the food was pretty good. The true test was the brisket. The brisket was very tender, yet still moist, and also had a lot of flavor. The pulled pork was also very tasty. They also had three different bbq sauces available for you to use, which were all good, and not overpowering like other establishments. The staff were very courteous, and the establishment was very clean and welcoming. All in all we were all very impressed.

We are happy to have another local food joint on this side of town. We love gQue, but the prices nowadays will make us come a lot less. We have been to the other GQue several of times, so I ordered ahead since I knew this location has been really busy. The pick up system is pretty great since at this location you can pick it up through the drive thru. It was a previous Wendy's that they converted which is pretty cool compared to their other locations. I ordered the chipotle smoked wings which were spicier than I was expecting but not bad. The seasoned fries didn't help though. I also ordered a single Mac & cheese for $4 which was basically a scoop. In total, it was $26 which is a little higher compared to other places. We would come back, but hopefully they have turkey next time because that's my favorite.

This BBQ is super good and I'm a BBQ snob. Love that they have a small bar for single diners. Incredibly good service. Clean establishment- I will keep coming back!

Always a slam dunk! The wing of the month club is an incredible deal and I plan on eating wings once a week every week!

It's nice to have somewhere to get good barbecue. This joint does not disappoint. The wings are smoked and then fried and I recommended the dry rub rather than the sauces. They are out of this world. They have a nice selection of craft beers and a good selection of canned beer. Happy hour is awesome with one dollar domestic. What a deal! I enjoy sitting at the bar where they have friendly bartenders and two TVs swing in and enjoy.

Food and service is always great here, and everything was made and brought out to us in a timely manner!

Great food and amazing drinks! I walked in not expecting much because it looked like a fast food restaurant, but after we got our food I changed my mind. Everything was delicious and I loved the boozy shake.

I mean all I have to say is that it's GQue. This location is fantastic just like the others and was amazing even for takeout. I wish I had a drive through location like this near me. We went inside to order and we got our food super quick. Pipping hot and the staff was super nice. Inside it's neat too because they have a bar and an ice cream shop in the back! We got the pulled pork and the brisket and both were amazing!!! They both have an awesome flavor and were super juicy. They have 3 different spice levels for their BBQ sauce as well which I love because I am not a sweet BBQ sauce fan and like it hot! The hot one had a zip to it but nothing crazy at least for me. Don't let the fast food look on the outside fool you. This place is amazing and the food is phenomenal. Definitely coming back here when I am on this side of town!

THE BEST!! I actually may have already left a review bc it's so great each time. I haven't enjoyed a meal out in a very long time....Probably the last time I ordered GQue. The service is excellent, too. Another rarity.

G-Que does not disappoint! We have never had a bad quality or terrible tasting meal there. we love this place and have made it our go-to for "fast" delicious food. You must give it a try.

Ordered a meal to pick up Xmas Eve. Easy to pick up, ready as scheduled, food was delicious. Will be back for sure.

The good is the tenderness of the brisket and pork. The bad is they put an huge amount of salty seasoning just before serving that destroys the flavor of the meat. Note to self: if I eat here again I will definitely tell them not to put the seasoning on my meat. BBQ sauce should be addictive. The sauces are passable but not memorable.

We've been to this location several times and it's always been delicious. Tonight we placed an order for pickup and when we got to the location we realized we placed it for the other location. The manager was amazing and even though it was my fault, he called the other store and let them know I was at their location and he made our order for us. Great food, great staff! Five + stars!

Smelled like urine inside. Not sure why the $80 family meal which comes with 2 meats, but you're up charged for brisket. Overly complicated, I just left without ordering anything. Too bad, was excited cause it's close to my house. I have eaten food and enjoyed it at the Sheridan location many times. Cannot believe we could not order what we wanted.

I just discovered this place and it is FABULOUS! The food is better than the BBQ place that I've been going to for years, the staff is polite, professional, and just couldn't do enough for me. GQue is our new, "go to" barbecue joint!

I absolutely love this restaurant! We were so thrilled when they were opening a spot in Thornton and every time we get food it beats the time before. Everything is always perfectly cooked and they have my favorite mac and cheese! Additionally they have a super easy drive thru pick up that's a total game changer for getting food in a hurry. They also have a really wonderful rewards system that gives you free items and discounts and I even got a special promo for my birthday which is just so nice! The manager also checks in for feedback and has been amazing with resolving any issues or concerns. Oh yeah and $1 beer during happy hour is also pretty great Highly recommend!

My family and I are never disappointed with our food, or the service we receive at G Que BBQ in Thornton. This place is the absolute best place to eat.

It was nice and clean the the cashier was friendly. However the food was super dry, when I think of BBQ I think of juicy meat not dry meat. Me and my husband could barley eat our sandwiches we got without having to chug water with it. We spent $45 on two meals and we could barley enjoy it. The rest of the food sides were delicious but super small portioned. I'm not sure if the meat was old or what but this was our first time trying GQue BBQ and we don't want to go back wasting our money on dry BBQ food.

Really Good BBQ. Clean. There is even an ice cream shop in there if you want dessert. Full alcohol options too!

Made my order online for pick up. Got a text that my food was ready in 15 mins. I ordered the family pack. Picked up food from pick up lane. Fast and easy. Food was bomb ass good. Ribs were tender but the thing that surprised me was how moist and tender the turkey was. Best turkey I ever had. Highly recommend.

I was impressed with the ordering! The whole process was so smooth. When the food was ready it announced it over our car radio. Told us where to go to pick up our order! And, it was ready in no time! Food was delicious.

Very tasty BBQ. I got the Cherry Bomb Weekly Special Wings and the Ribs. Their reward specials, Happy Hour and wing club are all great values. The service was fast and friendly.

They claim to have "championship " bbq. Not sure what they won, but the brisket that they served me was flavorless and dry. Tasted like it was boiled not smoked. For a $16 sandwich, I'd expect way more. Try post oak if you want real smoked meat.

I am kind of a BBQ snob, so I put off eating at GQue BBQ. I wish I hadn't. The pulled pork was delsih, lots of it and the original sauce was great. The beans are to vinegary and sweet. I have finally found good BBQ in Colorado. Just missing the peach slice on the side and it would've been perfection. ​
