Nourishing Bodies and Minds at Liberty’s Kitchen During the Pandemic | Eater New Orleans

"Described as a location providing shelter and food to homeless and at-risk youth, Grace at the Greenlight received prepared meals from Liberty's Kitchen as part of an initiative that produced 1,000 meals a week for 10 weeks." - Beth D’Addono

Feeding breakfast to hundreds of homeless people everyday. They feed a GOOD breakfast. Chicken tenders, eggs, biscuit, and oatmeal or grits (Your choice). PLUS hot coffee with cream AND sugar. Even though I'm pretty sure it is Decaf. This place is wonderful. They also have a clothes closet and can help with other things. Mr. Chris is an angel. This place and rebuild are the two best resources I have seen for homeless people.

So helpful, 6:30 am everyday. Thank you so much.

This place is full of highly dedicated people who feed the homeless population 7 days a week and provide clothing. They also arrange for transportation to reunify families. "Through this linkage, the person in need is welcomed home by a family member or friend who has agreed to support and care for the person upon their arrival." Hydrate NOLA is another outstanding program. Grace at the Greenlight is a shining star in our community. Keep up the good work!

From the moment you walk in the door, you are greeted by genuine warm smiles. There is nothing fake amongst the people who work or volunteer here. Promptly, at 6:30 am, they serve a nutritious breakfast and real coffee. They also can help you get home with a bus ticket. Miss Sarah is the one to talk to. She is a kind heart that will help you get home and make sure you have food to survive the rigors of Greyhound. The world is a better place with these people. Be kind to them when you go there.

I am the founder of Proverbs 14:31 Homeless Ministry. We collect, assemble, and distribute bags for the homeless. In additiin to hygiene products, our bags include food, snacks, rain ponchos, socks (3pr), wipes, flashlights, pks of premoistened washcloths, journals/pens, and many other items. Our point person has always been Ms. Sarah, who is there with her volunteers when we arrive at 6:30am.. It is a wonderful place to eat and gather. We feel blessed to support Grace at the Green Light. 💘
