Dinner with family.
There is some good and bad with Grace.
First we were sat in one of the booths, these booths are very long and tight, with just a party of 4 it makes you feel disconnected to the rest of your group. just not a big fan of the design. Also the booth seat was dirty. The bathrooms were a bit of a mess. The rest of the layout is fin and the bar area looks nice. They have a back patio also.
The waiter was nice, however they did not ask if we wanted any parm or pepper flakes. Other than than that the food came out fast. On a very positive note they have Flatiron Pepper Flakes. I did have to go get them myself though.
Spinach Artichoke Dip w/Bacon, $15: Very good Spinach dip, the $3 upcharge for bacon is probably not worth it. But in general a very good dip and the "bread", AKA pizza crust that came with it was also good. I would recommend.
Illegal Cheese Bread, $12: Hard to give a honest review, we ordered ours without the Ricotta because this was going to be my daughters meal. All in all it was fine and came with garlic butter for dipping. It is basically a cheese pizza with no sauce.
The R-C Ranch Meat Wagon, $22: The pizzas at Grace are about the size of a medium pizza. The Meat Wagon was loaded with toppings and this was good and bad. Good because it had a fine amount of premium meat toppings, bad because it made the center of the pizza quite soggy. The pizza was light on cheese, it seemed that there was very little under the meat. between that and the softness of the middle the toppings had a hard time staying on. The crust around the edges had nice bubbles and a good chew. In the end it was an ok pizza, however not $22 good.
I think the restaurant is fine, but the prices are a bit much for what you get. The vibe is causal pizza bar with fine Italian restaurant prices.
If you live in the area and price is no object, I say give it a try, Grace may be the best pizza you get in Pearland. However I would not go to far out of my way to make at stop.
