"Grace’s is a cozy Irish-style pub on the West Village/Chelsea border. It's well-loved for its authentic atmosphere, traditional 'snug' seating area, and expertly poured Guinness. Arrive early to claim a special seat." - Coolstuff Team

Food is really good, nice variety of Irish and Irish-inspired dishes, including excellent lamb chops, chicken curry and fish sandwich. The soda bread is delicious but portion is VERY small. Irish bars uptown would give you a basket of it. There’s very good beer on tap, although only one IPA….the bar has a nice atmosphere and the servers are friendly, attentive and professional. The dark room in the back could use some refreshing, table stools are really uncomfortable after 20 minutes…But my real gripe is the cocktail drinks… Why would you spoil this with a miserly approach to cocktails? If you order a martini with grey goose you pay 22$ (yes 22$) for a martini served in the smallest glass possible, maybe 3 inches high..really?

What a fun night going out with girls. My friends and I get a table at thr front room of Grace's. We are so lucky because the place isn't packed yet. We are four then another friend join in the middle of the night. It looks like we have a private room that is what I like about this place plus the bartender is very friendly even the bar is getting busy. Frozen Margarita, Margarita, Hendricks, truly clawless and popcorn. We have 4-5 rounds then one of my friend start to get too sleepy so The party has come to the end. We picked this place because it wasn't far from the place we were hanging out before. Drinks are affordable the the service is good.

Google
It’s a very chill spot, nothing very exciting. We had some drinks and food before heading out to other bars and I personally wouldn’t vote to return. The food options were expensive but quite small portions. I had the chicken pot pie which left me hungry and was nothing special flavor wise. The drinks were also small but nice. The bartender was kind and it is a cute place but I don’t think I’d go back

Google
Definitely feels like an authentic Irish pub in the city. Was a big fan of the live Irish band they had on Wednesday and the $9 Guinness. Would love to come back

Clean. Cute. Modern. Quaint. Unpretentious. Little patio. Friendly bartender. Tasty cocktails (available to go).

Google
Lovely authentic Irish bar. Decent food and live music on a Wednesday. Let down a little by lack of service. Two young ones behind the bar much more interested in each other than the customers.

Worst customer service in NYC ever. I have been to many bars in NYC but this is the worst !! My friends and I walked pass by this bar. We were looking for frozen drinks. We looked at the menu in the front and they have. We decided to get drinks here, we ordered Frozen Miami Vice but it wasn’t frozen at all. My friend asked the bartender she just said “it is half way frozen and this is the best thing that I can do” what kind of customer service it is ? It wasn’t half way at all. It like regular cocktail. She should let us know first if the drink isn’t frozen yet. Then my friend told her we wanted frozen drink can we change to something else. She said yes and threw the menu to us and sighed at us with attitude (kind of racist). We end up paid for the bill and left right away without touching the drinks. Waste money and ruin my day!

Google
I recommend everyone to try the fish sandwich!

Yelp
Came for a drink and there wasn't any a staff at the front. After 10 minutes I just sat at the bar waiting a friend. The place gets super rowdy by 7pm and people crowd the door so if you're looking for a place to hang and chat, another place might be better suited.

Yelp
I've been to Grace's a load of times and have never had a bad experience. There is a front and back bar with two different vibes. It is stylish and perfect for a casual night out. While the space can get a bit crowded, the vibe is always lively, making it a great spot for both after-work drinks and weekend hangouts. Overall, a charming bar with a lot to offer--just a tad more space would elevate the experience even further. Highly recommend.

Yelp
Stopped by for HH (goes until 7) in the west 14th Street area. We got an order of dry rub wings (non HH), a cocktail (HH) and a wheat beer (HH). Cozy Irish pub vibes going on and the bar tender was very friendly and efficient!

Yelp
Came here on a Friday evening to meet up with some friends. There's two bars, one in the front which is their main bar, and one smaller one in the back. Was recommended to get their Guinness draft as they prepare it differently. I'm not a Guinness fan and I didn't really taste much of a difference from a standard Guinness. It's a fun time for the most part, loud music, and a chill vibe. Service is very lax where you need to get their attention.

Yelp
I recently went to this bar for the first time with a few friends. We decided to try it out, because a nearby bar was overly packed. The space is really cute -- dimly lit, lots of wood, booths, and tables, with a really nice back area. It was a really well-decorated spot. I tried a couple of the food items, all of which were pretty good. We had the soda bread with butter, which was tasty. My friends had the corn dogs, which they really enjoyed. I also had the baby gem lettuce salad, which had a really creamy buttermilk dressing to go along with it. For drinks, I had a King Carlos, which was really a nice drink. It was well-balanced, with a slight kick from the Thai chili. I really enjoyed my experience at Grace's, and would definitely go back if in the area!

Yelp
We were a group of 15-20 people We came in and we all agreed that the bartender's attitude was super stale. It was the first thing mentioned when we left. Her whole vibe was off putting and after getting together for an old friend's memorial, the last thing we needed was someone who had an attitude The food was good. Busboy was attentive and hard working. Would never return as the bartender gave us all bad vibes. Most of us were former industry people so we understood maybe she was having a bad shift....but wth...it was bad Also, ginger ale soda was flat which matched her attitude.

Yelp
I've only been here for popcorn and drinks but the location and service brought me back. The bartenders here are super friendly and they have taps specifically for Guinness. We had dinner already but I wanted to snack on something and ordered the Popcorn with Irish Cheddar. It comes in a huge bowl with lots of cheese. Yum!

Yelp
The best thing about this bar for us was the music. It's been pretty hard to find bars with good music nowadays (not sure why) - this one had a good music of pop, hip hop and vibes. I got the vodka dirty martini which wasn't the best I've had but it didn't the job. The bartenders didn't really interact much and we were sitting at the bar.

Yelp
My favorite Irish pub in NYC. The space is beyond cozy, they serve great simple food, and you won't find a better pint of Guinness. We had a private event in their back room, and it could not have been more perfect. Everyone loved the atmosphere and was wondering why they hadn't heard about this place earlier. Sara was great to work with and made sure we had everything we needed (+ Mia and Amanda as well)! On top of this all, I discovered they have live Irish music on Wednesday nights. As if there weren't already enough reason to become a regular!

Yelp
After realizing McKenna's was a flaming pile of s&it, we decided to go directly next door to Graces. Admittedly the menu on the wall outside screams 'a little expensive' but they still have $8 beers on tap which is almost every bar in Chelsea these days. The place inside is beautiful. Massive upgrade. The bartenders and entire staff are attentive and kind. What we both realized after a few minutes is that this is basically a bar if you are a single dude looking to score with really hot chicks, this is your place. Like overflowing with really well groomed young women. I was even surprised. I guess It's an upscale Irish bar? Cocktails are $15-16, beers $8-9. Not entirely sure if they have a happy hour. I guess they do live music and brunch. I liked the pilsner and wit beers I respectively had. I can't quite justify or understand how a $17 grilled cheese is on the menu. Was it flown in from Ireland? I say, this is the spot to come if as I said before you're looking to score or in my case people watch after having a ridiculous incident next door.

Yelp
Great bar! We stumbled upon Grace's on a busy Friday but were able to immediately able to snag a table outside. The staff is friendly and the drinks here are super strong (in a good way)! They offer frozen margaritas either to stay or to go, and you can really taste the tequila in those. We didn't try any of the food, but ended up staying for a while because of the great drinks and atmosphere. Would return!

Yelp
Honesty, stuff was pretty good, but the butter was extremely good. Like the best butter around. Like somehow noticeably good. We got the bread and butter and pickles. Again ok except for the butter. It's like Kerrygold premium reserve limiter batch. Also good corn dogs.

Cassandra C.

Yelp
My absolute favorite bar in the city! Their drinks are great, the staff is so warm and friendly and the overall mood and atmosphere couldn't be any cozier. Can't recommend enough!

Yelp
Fucking scammers!!!! I order 1 shot for 9.80$ and when i heave my card it got declined ? I checked my bank account and they charged my card for 168.90$ !!!! And LUCKILY Wells Fargo is legit and didn't let it go through and then after their scam didn't go through the bartender came back with the correct bill and it went through. BE AWARE OF THIS PLACE WITH YOUR CARDS. pay cash if anything. The girl with orange hair is a scammer !

Yelp
Stopped in randomly after meeting a friend in the area, adorable stone walled place and the bartender (Shawn i think?) Was the most friendly and super quick! Definitely coming back

Yelp
We've been huge fans of Grace's ever since they opened. The service, drinks and food are always top notch, and we often bring friends and family here when they are visiting from out of town and we're in need of a place to hang out. It's a cozy Irish bar with tons of character, and the back room is also available for private events. Grace's recently hosted us for my 50th birthday party and once again, they impressed the hell out of us. From planning to execution, they made every effort to accommodate our requests, and they far exceeded our expectations. We would also strongly encourage you to check out their sister locations. Hartley's is a small, but wonderful Irish bar in Brooklyn. All & Sundry, although not Irish-themed, is owned and operated by the same wonderful people, so if you're looking for a great place for food or cocktails in the Columbus Circle neighborhood of Manhattan, we suggest you stop by and bring a friend or three.

Yelp
such a fun little bar! we came on a friday night around 7pm and were able to get two seats at the bar. at about 7:45pm the bar really started to fill up! they have a lot of seats at the bar and a good selection of tables in the other room. we didn't get any food, but the options all looked good! i got a vodka martini which was delicious, and my boyfriend got the king carlos and it was amazingggg. the staff was so nice, the place was clean, and the location is really convenient! we can't wait to go back!

Yelp
Your neighborhood bar in the Chelsea area and also a hidden gem that I want nobody else to know about. Grace's is a massive hit for happy hour after work. The staff is friendly, the drinks are reasonably priced and the Grilled Cheese is out of this world. It has a large back area and a total of two bars within the entire venue. The back area can be rented out for private events although it's generally booked 6 weeks in advance.. so get the requests in early.

Yelp
Stumbled upon this cute place as we were walking home from dinner. The door/entry is hidden and you have to walk down to get inside. Once you are inside it's a cute pub like feel. Lots of trust in the owners of this place as the whole place is lit with real candles. The drinks here were on point. Will definitely come back again!
google avatar

Ian P. L.

Yelp
My place to go to for that good Sunday morning breakfast and a pint doesn't hurt either. May take two,
google avatar

Delaney L.

Yelp
Absolutely adorable!!!!! I thought this was going to be a classic Irish pub but I was very impressed. The bar is lovely and decorated with little lights and exposed brick and seasonal decor. The photos don't even do it justice. Staff is helpful and beers are great. Check them out for happy hour 4-7! Can't beat it.
google avatar

Rachel D.

Yelp
Do pub reviews matter? In this case they absolutely do! We randomly walked into Grace's last week and it was great! The bartenders were amazing (sometimes hard to find in NYC). Dylan was great! He chatted with us and made us feel like we've known him for years. Please go grab a pint for a drink from them! I promise you won't feel like your in NYC!
google avatar

Yelp
We are visiting from Los Angeles and are staying nearby. On our five night stay this is our 4th time visiting Grace's. That is how much I love this place. Every cocktail I order is amazing, and the service is great. They are open until 4 a.m. every single night which was a plus, as most bars in this area close at 12 a.m. Definitely check this place out if your are in the area. I recommend the King Carlos and the J.W. Flood.

D M.

Yelp
This is a pretty cool spot. Staff is friendly, drinks are delicious, good music, and they close at 4 am. My friends and I came on Vacation and stayed walking distance. Were here 4 nights in a row (Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday). Didn't get to try any of their food since the kitchen closes early. All in all great experience would be coming back next time I'm in town.

Yelp
A neighborhood gem! The back room is stone with charming ceiling fixtures of the sort you'd find in an Irish B and B. We went in after a show at the Joyce because it was so darn cute and the prices reasonable. Also, Jack's Wife Freda (the Chelsea location), while larger than the SoHo location, was deafeningly loud at 3:45 PM on a Sunday. I tried the Olivia's Parfait: Greek yogurt, toasted cocunut, farro, and pineapple and was delightfully surprised by what emerged in a few minutes from the kitchen. I thought it would be Greek yogurt with some pineapple and coconut topping, and perhaps some farro on the bottom. It was all mixed together and DELICIOUS. Large portion. I should not have finished it but it was so good I couldn't help myself. My friend had a no frills grilled cheese with bacon and tomato, with special relish on the side. My Bloody Mary was good and just 9 bucks. His Montauk beer a fair price too. The back room is really cool, well-insulated by the stone and the a/c in the front bar area must waft back there. At night they have Celtic music.
google avatar

Dave F.

Yelp
Lively Irish pub, completely with Celtic band in the back room just rocking out. This place is all ambience with the music, rustic decor, to go along with a selection stocked list of Irish Wiskeys. This place is a truly great find for something atypical of the New York City bar scene.
google avatar

Ellyn H.

Yelp
I don't want to tell anyone about this bar because I want it to be my personal secret. This is the best bar in NYC. I love it. Please don't ever come.
google avatar

Denis D.

Yelp
Great place for drinks with friends or romantic night out, Guinness is good which is hard to find I NYC, good selection of food. Wednesday nights they have a Irish trad session which is a lovely touch, the decor is very cozy but have space that can close off at the back of you want to book for a party etc
google avatar

Liam C.

Yelp
Grace's is the best thing on this block of 14th St. The service is warm and professional, the food is delicious. It somehow manages to harmonize an old world vibe with modern sophistication. Tends to come on Wednesdays for the Celtic music session, and I always feel made it home by Aiden who mans the back bar. Drop by round 8 for some tunes! My perennial favorite is their beef sandwich. The default is a kind of brisket (not sure what kind of beef it is but it's delicious) sandwich with burger condiments and it's really fun. The other version "Hartley's style" more sophisticated traditional pub grub, that same beef but with cheese and great caramelized onions. and they've got this neat little booth, with a hatch so you can talk to the bartender which I understand is called the "snug"
google avatar

Caitlyn L.

Yelp
After recently moving into the neighborhood I was very excited to try Grace's after seeing the reviews. However my experience at Grace's was terrible. Two friends and I sat down at the bar and were chatting. After sitting for about ten minutes a bouncer came up to us and very rudely told us to get out immediately. When we politely asked him why, he said he didn't care why but that the bartender wanted us out. I asked if it was because we had yet to order drinks, in which case we would have gladly ordered a beverage immediately. Sadly I will not be returning to this neighborhood spot.

Diana A.

Yelp
I'm a sucker for a cute storefront and a cozy vibe with some exposed brick. This place has that and more. The bartender was super friendly and attentive even though it seemed like she was running the show. It has all the charm of its neighbors without the hour long wait times. Definitely worth checking out.
google avatar

Yinglu W.

Yelp
It doesn't look like a traditional Irish bar. It's more chic and relaxing. I ordered Basic Bee, which was nue vodka, pineapple juice and lemon. It's overpriced given it's really weak.
google avatar

Hannah M.

Yelp
Such a nice little bar in the West Village/Chelsea area! The atmosphere is dim and cozy - perfect for a winter evening. Order a drink with some freshly cut fries!
google avatar

Amy C.

Yelp
This place is the shlt. Arturo makes excellent cocktails. Just be sure to skip our before the super drunk club crowd comes pouring in.
google avatar

Mary T.

Yelp
Great little spot. Good music and vibe. Recommend the carafe of mimosa! Small but good!
google avatar

Katie S.

Yelp
I work in the neighbourhood and was recommended by a friend to come in and try the king Carlos cocktail- which was great! The bartenders Arturo, Jack and Aidan are very friendly and attentive. It's really nice to come into a bar that doesn't have a million TVs blaring, just a cool relaxed atmosphere and a great spot for friendly conversation. The ambience here is really nice and the owner showed my friend and I the back room which they use for parties, I would definitely keep this place in mind if I were having an event. I haven't tried the food yet but look forward to trying it soon.
google avatar

Michelle W.

Yelp
Stumbled upon this place while heading to another place. We decided to give it a shot and i couldn't be happier. My whiskey sour was delicious, and so were all the other items we ordered. The grilled cheese with a side of potato and leek soup hit the spot. I came with 2 other people and we were all very impressed. Will definitely be back!
google avatar

Shazia K.

Yelp
Amazing drinks ! My fav drink is the basic bees & Kings carol a fun twist for a margarita ! Decor is beautiful with moody candle lit lighting & exposed white brick walls. For the neighborhood/ area it's def the best bar on the block hands down !
google avatar

Alex I.

Yelp
Grace's is so so cute. A great place to grab drinks or have brunch. We did drinks here on a Saturday afternoon. It was pretty crowded, but we still found seats at the bar. The service was a little inattentive at times. Overall they had a good drink selection and the atmosphere was nice. It seems like a good day drinking spot!
google avatar

Luke O.

Yelp
Girlfriend and I decided to stop in for a drink and was very pleased. Drinks were excellent and unique. For Irish type bar food, was well above average. Spiced Meat Sandwich was so good, I ordered a second one.
google avatar

Lauren C.

Yelp
Our bartender was awesome!!! I didn't eat here so I cannot speak to the food, but the cocktails we're great. The bartender was really knowledgeable, and all around just awesome. He was from Ireland and explained how Guiness is supposed to be served vs how some bars serve it. It changed my opinion on Guiness, as I used to not be a fan of that beer.
google avatar

william m.

Yelp
Beautiful pub with friendly staff ! The Guinness was exceptional! Great ambience , great music ! Very chilled ! Ps great flower selection outside !!!

Donna B.

Yelp
This is a great bar with a relaxed, fun vibe, good food and a terrific selection of cocktails and whisky and scotch. It's like a real pub you'd find in Southwest Ireland- relaxed, family owned and concerned with quality over quantity. Plus, you can actually relax and talk to one another here. I love it.
google avatar

Beth S.

Yelp
This bar is so charming and exactly the place I'd make my regular hangout if I still lived in the neighborhood. I was trying to find a place to accommodate an assortment of picky friends and this was perfect. It was busy but not uncomfortably crowded and we were able to snag the table by the bar within 10 minutes or so. The bartenders were friendly and prompt, and all the drinks we tried were delicious, to the point where we probably drank more than intended. Will definitely be back and will recommend to friends.
google avatar

Christine S.

Yelp
A little gem on 14th! Lovely Irish bartenders - attentive and friendly. Will be back.
google avatar

Casey R.

Yelp
Walked by randomly and decided to pop in for some drinks. They had just opened recently. The decor and atmosphere are great, its nice and dim with candles and lanterns. The front bar is pretty big and they also have a back room with tables. We ordered the pop corn and pickled platter, and the service was great. We went on a Tuesday and there was live Irish music. Will definitely be back.

Sydney M.

Yelp
Had a birthday party in the back room during the holidays and the bar was decorated beautifully and the service was superb. Have been back since for live music and really enjoyed it. Great bartenders and solid food situation - would highly recommend for all!
