This trendy restaurant is a hidden gem in Newport Beach serving locally sourced vegetarian food. Crafty cocktails are delicious. Ambiance and decor is beautiful and cozy. Server was friendly & tentative. Came here to celebrate my birthday with my girlfriend. I am a vegetarian so this place was perfect. Food was delicious and love the flavors, all vegetarian! Ordered the prix fixe power lunch and shared dishes with my friend. We started with the Queso Fundido with a nice kick of spiciness and the fresh Ceviche - all so tasty with a burst of flavors. We then shared the Little Gem Caesar and 3 taco flight. The 3 tacos were so yummy with so many flavors - sweet, smoky and spicy. All so unique full of nice flavors. I really want to come back to try the other dishes.

This was my first time here and the food and staff are superb! Ramon our server explained the different vegan dishes along with gluten free options and checked for allergies based on our questions. Everything was so delicious. They offer valet parking and have a pleasant outdoor seating to enjoy your meal. I definitely will be going back and highly recommend this restaurant for food, atmosphere and service!!! Thank you to the staff at Gracias Madre for making our visit so welcoming!!

I love the vibe of this place. The inside is so chic and relaxing. It's well designed. We dined indoors but facing the patio which was nice. We tried the salsa trio which was good and spicy. We added the pineapple salsa which was good as well. We split the Caesar salad and I didn't love it. It felt sorta bland and definitely needed more dressing but it was a good size. We also tried two different tacos and I those were wonderful. My friend said it was the best vegan taco they have ever had. I feel like everything was a good value. Wish I ordered something else to drink though because the water tasted off.

Delicious Vegan Mexican food. Everything was very flavorful. The ambience is great. Service was excellent. Multiple servers continued to make sure we were happy and refill drinks. I love how you can light candles and write a prayer.

Gracias Madre in Newport Beach is a vegan restaurant, but don't let that stop you from choosing this dining experience. Honestly, I am not a fan of anything vegan, but I fell in love with Gracias Madre's serene atmosphere, descriptive menu, artful plating, and most of all, delectable flavor layers in every bite! For starters, we tried the guacamole and chips and Mexican Street Corn, and we could not stop eating both of them. For the main course, we ordered a Madre Burger and a Taco Salad; both were amazing! We finished off our meal with the guava cake, which was to-die-for! You will have an all-around dreamy dining experience!

I found out after I got here that this has no association with the one in San Francisco. The setting is beautiful and the waitstaff is friendly. We ordered guacamole and chips, “I am …” juice which was not too sweet and I didn’t know beetroot, pineapple, ginger could taste so good together. I also went for the taco flight and wanted to be experimental. I ordered the mango broccoli taco- It was really good. Although if the spicy broccoli pieces were a little smaller, probably easier to have a uniform flavor. The coconut meat taco was also delicious, as was the parm mushroom taco. Rich, cheesy flavor through and through. I tried my friend’s oyster mushroom taco, absolutely fantastic. We ordered the upside down pineapple cake. It was so good, we ended up ordering two. Overall, a perfect dine in experience.

Great spot for any vegetarian and vegan Mexican food lovers. They have such an extensive selection of food and the portions are extremely filling. The crunch wrap was amazing. The drinks were also great. I would highly recommend this restaurant. It also has great ambiance and I'll definitely be going back again.

Overall, a really good experience at this restaurant. A vibrant atmosphere and hip hop music playing in the background. Vegan, vegetarian, or otherwise… this is a place to surely try out for modern Mexican dishes that are all completely plant based. I was pleased with the variety on the menu and most of the flavors that the culinary team was able to compile on our plates. A couple of negative notes were the bland rice and beans and the overly disproportionate amount of corn in the tamales compared to the filling. Still, I was happy with the food and would definitely recommend others to try this place out at least once.
