Bars and Restaurants Across Chicago Serving Astral Tequila Cocktails | Eater

"With darts, hunting video games, arcade basketball, and plenty of TVs, Gracie O’Malley’s is built for a good time. But to keep those parties fueled, the menu needs to be stacked as well. Luckily, Gracie O’Malley’s delivers on that, too. From poppable mini corn dogs and pickle fries to a hulking fried chicken sandwich and mac and cheese, it has everything you need to keep the good times going. The drinks menu includes the classics and then some. A spicy strawberry margarita with a Tajín rim is the perfect start, then see where the evening takes you. Check out these other bars and restaurants serving Astral Tequila: Crawfords, Wood, Sutherlands, The Piggery, Merkle’s Bar & Grill, and Gracie O’Malley’s." - Ariel Kanter

Google
Easily my favorite sports bar in Chicago and it’s not even close. I’ve been coming here for years since moving to Bucktown, you can almost always get a spot but as it’s gotten more popular I recommend calling ahead to reserve a table if it’s a big sports day like march Madness or NFL playoffs. The staff are great and really friendly, they also pour a good Guinness. Don’t sleep on this place as a top burger spot in Chicago! I have yet to have a bad Gracie O burger when coming here, always comes out fresh and perfectly cooked. Probably in my top 10 for Chicago burgers.

Google
Went for Love Island watch party hosted Sunday, got free shots for everyone from owner. The frozen passion fruit margarita was good and the Mini Me’s were good pulled bbq was favorite. Sweet potato fries and garlic aioli was highlight

Google
Solid sports bar with an Irish twist, they've got darts, skeeball, and a few other games. Food is surprisingly good and the drink menu is solid. Layout wise it feels like they've got two bars with the center wall cut out. Makes for a lot of space and great throughput on drink service. Well worth your time if you're looking for a sports pub.

Leigha W.

Google
Okay Wicker Park listen up!!! Taco Tuesday at Gracie O'Malley's is unbeatable! At just $1 per taco, they are incredibly delicious and definitely worth it. It's a fantastic spot for sports fans, with multiple TVs perfect for game day. Plus, they have darts too! Highly recommend! Tasty food, great selection of drinks, friendly staff, clean establishment, and good energy! 10/10!!

Mike D.

Google
Better than expected bar food and good specials during games. My neighborhood place to watch football around other fans. Happily, I'm not the only Packers fan that shows up, and there's no ill will among fans of the game for wearing the other team's colors.

Katie K.

Google
It’s a typical sports bar, lots of TVs, beer, mediocre cocktails, but if you want to watch a game it’s a good option. They played Hilary Duff so they get extra points for that.

Daniel B.

Google
An average sports bar, with an overwhelming amount of TVs all over the walls, and a pretty bad looking pour of Guinness for an Irish bar at that. If you're labeled an Irish bar your presentation of a Guinness pint should be a standout. At least they have 3 darts boards with good lighting.

Nick H.

Google
One of my favorite sports bars in Chicago. Get the Buffalo supreme wings. Also great for weekday lunch (bartender Mike will take great care of you).

Yelp
We are from out of town from the Bay Area and the staff was very attentive and quick to deliver food and drink. They had a DJ which made if fun during half-time football. Defininately recommend!

Yelp
Spent the week of my 66 BDay in Chicago from the Bay Area of California. Wanted to watch the Niners on November 9th and Gracie's came up as the number 1 choice. It is so popular that they recommend making a reservation. We did and we were escorted to our reserved table. Incredible vibe, patrons, food, atmosphere, music et all. Not my first rodeo when it comes to these venues. I can unequivocally state that Gracie's kicks ass and we had a wonderful time. It also features an MC that keeps the festivities going with humor and crazy antics with basketball skills competitions amongst the staff and raffles that contribute to animal shelters. Da Bears won their game with a fantastic finish which got the crowd energized. Food was top notch for a Sports Bar and the menu was varied. The Guinness and Espresso Martinis were absolutely spot on every time. I want to give a shout out to everyone at Gracie's but most especially our server, Claire. This cute Irish Cailin took care of us, in a slammed rocking environment, like we were family and was a blast to interact with. She even brought over her friend to do a shot with us. This is a must destination for any football fan especially Niners fans!!!

Yelp
A little disorderly but classic bar food and good vibes. I came here with friends for a large get together and everyone had a great time! As for drinks, I recommend just getting a beer. Their cocktails are a little too sweet for my liking. To top things off they've got some games on a corner. I have yet to see anyone use anything other than the dart board though! - AT

Yelp
I. Love. This. Place. Been a regular for a couple of years now and whether you're a regular or not, expect amazing service, great vibes, and even better people! Food is always on point too!

Yelp
Only negative thing to be said is it's usually busy cuz it's so awesome. Chill place, large bar with killer food and awesome atmosphere. Darts and lots of TVs for a game. Service is super friendly and the prices are fair. Two separate bars make it much easier getting drinks when you have standing room!

Gaby R.

Yelp
Bartender is extremely fit for his job! Super outgoing and sets a vibe for the bar. We ordered the jalapeño bites and they were delicious. Would definitely recommend coming

Yelp
My favorite pub in Chicago never misses--the energy, the crowd, the vibes are unmatched.

Yelp
Drove by this spot on our way home after going to the theater. We were happy to see that they were open. This new Irish pub has a lot to offer. They have outdoor seating they also have open window seating at a full bar. On the occasion I ordered the chicken tender basket, Which came with a side. I chose the French fries and was very happy at the quality and taste of my food. My husband ordered the philly Steak sandwich. He also enjoyed his food. While waiting for our food we set up the bar and had a nice cold drink. Plenty of beers on tap. It was very nice just to chill and shoot the breeze with Chris who was working the bar that night. Chris knew a lot of history about establishment and other offerings they have during the week. This place is open late to about 2 AM and during the weekend they do have someone playing some videos and taking request. I'm gonna come back because they have happy hour and it was overall a chill vibe. Plus #GBR so will be back to rep Nebraska. Tip: Buffalo sauce was really good stay away from the barbecue sauce it was not good.

Yelp
Excellent service, good prices, and a fun atmosphere make Gracie O'Malley's one of the best places in the area! The salads are huge and make even better wraps and they've got a big list of beers and cocktails. We plan on coming here again and again!

Yelp
The stuffed nachos are to die for. They come with either beef, chicken or BBQ pulled pork. Service is fast and friendly. Sports bar ambience.
google avatar

Jason S.

Yelp
Awesome sports bar located right in wicker park! Perfect place to watch a game and their food is great too and the staff is all amazing. Also a great spot for a night out it gets lively on the weekends.
google avatar

Yelp
Incredible burger! Pickles galore. Much better than Au Cheval and more wallet friendly plus comes with a side. Bartenders a legend

Charlene M.

Yelp
Pros- Servers and bartenders were great, attentive and friendly. Cons- I made a reservation online and it just took so long for any response (at least 3 days). But my main complaint is because I came to the bar to watch some games with friends, During the Bengals/Steelers halftime, they started to honor Chicago's very own Derrick Rose during the Bulls game and SEVERAL people, myself included, asked to switch the audio to hear the speeches / game. I was met by a very sarcastic and rude "DJ" who said they were a "football bar" and it'd be too much trouble. Hmm okay, but you're also in Chicago and this is a pretty epic day for Chicago sports fans?! But instead, the DJ.. obviously a transplant.. proceeded to play Katy Perry and Avril Lavigne during football commercial breaks... no football even playing! Very disappointing for all Chicago fans in that bar!

Yelp
Gracie O'Malley's is everything you want an Irish pub to be - Food was fresh, service was great and our group had a great time! Our waiter was a Chicago native who gave great recommendations and heckled us in the best of ways. The cheese curds were some of the best our group had ever had. Our group ordered the house burger, a chicken salad (which was wonderful), chicken tenders, fried pickles, and sliders. Everyone was beyond satisfied with their meals. Will be back when we come back to visit!
google avatar

Kimmi M.

Yelp
Liz is an incredible bartender and is forthcoming with specials and ideas for drinks! I really love being able to get something delicious from someone who clearly has an intricate knowledge and understanding of the palate. The vibe is super fun and I love the music bingo.

Elma Q.

Yelp
Go Niners! we're here from the Yay Area. Great atmosphere awesome service ready to host Niner Nation where ever you come from. Awesome food and bar tenders decked out in Niner gear.
google avatar

Anna N.

Yelp
Had some wings and beer at the bar to watch March madness last weekend. Food was great, service was quick, vibes were great.

Yelp
Service was great and the food was even better. I highly recommend the Gracie burger which was cooked perfectly.

Yelp
Best sports bar in Wicker Park / Bucktown!! Morgan the manager is hands down the best bar manager, bartender, and overall person you could ever ask for in a "cheers" bar (where everyone knows your name ). Gracie's has the BEST chicken finger basket in Wicker Park, always plays the biggest games *with sound* (including college football!), and the staff are absolutely incredible! As a straight woman, I always feel extremely safe in Gracie's by myself and have seen the staff actively promote patron safety and ensure that their customers, regardless of gender or orientation, feel safe, included, and cared for every single minute. Also check out Thursday bingo and all of Gracie's giveaways!! KJ runs all of Gracie's events and not only does she do a STELLAR job at it, but they're so fun and keeps new folks and regulars coming back for more!

Cara S.

Yelp
Love Gracie's! They have the best staff, food is great, vibe is super lovely, and game day raffles are like nowhere else I've been! Best sports bar (& regular bar) in all of Wicker! Highly recommend!!
google avatar

Bill B.

Yelp
Not the best service, not the best cocktails, not the best prices. The atmosphere isn't bad for stopping by to watch a baseball game on a Saturday afternoon but with the aforementioned lack of customer service the overall satisfaction score was pretty low for me.

Kyle K.

Yelp
Best sports bar in the neighborhood! I've lived in the wicker park/bucktown area for 6 years and this place never disappoints. The staff is friendly and are open to chat or leave alone to watch the game. The bar staff is unmatched always making sure you have what you need. Morgan is the kindest bartender you'll meet and has even helped a lost friend call an Uber. KJ creates an amazing space with multiple events each week and Billy is the bestbar back in the city. 10/10 would recommend to my mother! Chicken Tender Basket

Yelp
Ordered delivery from here. So disappointing... So -corn dog nugs were $8.99 and there's 8 of them. $1 a nugget. Really? And they forgot my ketchup, which I guess is fine because the small cup of bbq sauce will be more than enough for 8 nuggets. The elote is.... a mistake. It's such a tiny serving for a side. Half a scoop maybe and not even elote. It's spicy cheese corn. Speaking of tiny, these lettuce cups are a joke. There are 3 "cups" smaller than the palm of my hand. Wrong type of lettuce too. Sweet potatoes fries were fine. Which is part of the problem, everything tasted fine. Very middling. Maybe the restaurant/bar ambiance makes up for it? Don't order delivery from here. My receipt is attached so you can compare the delivery prices to the sit-down prices if you want.

Yelp
This is a cool sports bar in the heart of wicker park. Even better it's a 49ers bar now so I have a place to watch my team! Came here early before the game started to get a good seat. They have plenty of seating and TVs on every wall so a good view from every angle. The service is good and the bartenders are nice. We ordered the Asian lettuce wraps which came in 3 and were super tasty. I also got the half order of the double stuffed nachos with beef which were sooo good and plenty for 2! On sundays they have good drink specials for the game like $5 shots, stadium beers, and bombs. They also have 3 dart boards, a basketball shooting game, and some other arcade type games. I will definitely be back to watch some games!

Yelp
The bouncer was incredibly rude when my friends and I walked up. When looking online I was under the impression that this was a restaurant and not just a regular bar considering I do not live in the area and I've never been to this establishment before. Instead of politely correcting us which would've been preferred it was as if we were mocked at the door of this establishment. It was as a common mistake of mine because i assumed it was a restaurant, and my friends and I just wanted to sit down and eat but itstead we were met with arrogance and mockery. This was not appreciated and I will never take my services here again.

Joshua M.

Yelp
Nice welcoming atmosphere. Perfect stop after missing my flight at O'Hare. Enjoyed talking with the bartender Mikey. Looking forward to visiting again.

Yelp
Was here for st Patrick's day! Very busy but overall small / medium size bar. Drinks were nothing particularly uni
google avatar

Jeff L.

Yelp
I'm only rating this place on food. The bartender was very sweet and service was great. They had the windows open so you can sit inside which is nice. Drinks were fine and standard. I'm only rating that the food was not good. The wings are super breaded with so much dry rub on them that is all you taste. I tried to eat 2 and was unable

Yelp
If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. My boyfriend and I went on a Friday night because I was wanting their fish and chips meal. Tables are first come-first serve and there were no open tables when we arrived. Since I really wanted to eat dinner there, we decided to stay and wait to see if a table would open up. After waiting 15 minutes a 4 top table opened up and we sat down. I'd like to note here that the bouncer checking IDs saw us waiting for a table and mentioned to us that this table was about to open up, hinting that we would be able to take it. As soon as we sat down, another employee came up to us and told us that two people couldn't sit at a 4 top (I feel that he could've asked if we were planning on eating or how long we were planning on staying instead of going straight to "you can't sit here") I told him we had waited for a table for 15 minutes and he responded "you can stay there but if 4 or 6 people come in for a table, I'm going to have to kick you out". Which is shocking to me that I could've stayed and ordered food, been in the middle of eating, and he would've just kicked us out mid-meal? I've never had this happen to me before and it was incredibly embarrassing and upsetting. Before we sat, my boyfriend and I were even joking about how we were probably going to be spending the most money in there tonight because we would be the only ones eating AND drinking while everyone else was just there drinking. Anyways, I won't go back. I also think it's important to note that this place doesn't have 2 top tables so there was no other options for us to sit anywhere besides a 4 top... ETA: if you're looking for a similar bar with the same vibe, I highly recommend Standard Bar and Grill down the street. Good food, friendly staff, and they won't threaten to kick you out mid-meal :)

Yelp
A group of us stopped in before a concert at United Center -- and couldn't have been happier. Bartender was our server - great attitude - transparent about a food item they had to obtain overnight, due to them selling out the previous two days before -- Chicken Wings. They had gotten an "emergency order" of them sent in - smaller wings - so they gave us double - and they were excellent. Probably some of the best wings/sauce combo I've had in a very long time. Drinks were strong!! Loved them! Cannot wait to go back. Clean, amazing food - and decently priced for the area. Kudos to our Bartender that night - great guy. He took a quick break to go over as he was changing shifts to pick up some necessity items for his little sister. 5 Stars!

Yelp
Had biscuits and gravy and was pleasantly surprised by how good it was! I've have a hard time finding sausage gravy I like. The breakfast sandwich on a croissant was a bit ooey gooey for my taste but if you like bacon it was on there and flavorful.

Jessica M.

Yelp
Gracie O'Malley's is by far a 5/5! Not only do they have amazing food and drinks, but you will not find friendlier staff in Chicago. They go above and beyond to make you feel welcome and special. I have NEVER gone and not had an amazing experience. Not to mention, all of the activities the bar provides; from raffles, to karaoke, to bingo, to beer olympics, to dart tournaments, to holiday festivities... it is ALWAYS a good time!

Lauren G.

Yelp
Best bar/sports bar around!! Atmosphere is phenomenal and service is outstanding!! Food taste just as good as it looks!

James K.

Yelp
Great staff, tons of TV's and great food. Fantastic place to catch and sort of big game or sports game in general

Tom R.

Yelp
Not an Iowa bar FYI. Classified as a "Hawkeye bar" but turned the audio off the game for tennis.
google avatar

Shelbi S.

Yelp
I came to Gracie O'Malley's for the Nebraska Football watch group (#GBR) and love the space. Formerly The Tankard, the new version has a wall that totally opens up, amazing bloody mary deals during football games (with Guinness in them), and quality food. The TVs are huge and the staff/owner are awesome. 10/10 recommend for watching sports.
google avatar

Joni L.

Yelp
Our new favorite bar in Wicker Park. Since we live on the Blue Line, this one is just minutes away. I was not a true Nebraska fan prior, but am now. The enthusiasm of the crowd is contagious! They have decent bar grub too and drinks. Half time raffles are cool. What really makes this spot shine are the staff. They make you feel at home and take care of their customers. Glad you're here, Gracie O'Malley!
google avatar

Jazmynn S.

Yelp
Hands down the best place to catch a football game. Warning- it is a 49er bar, but don't let that steer you away. The fans that come here love football and regardless of who you're rooting for, you'll always be entertained. The staff couldn't be more professional and genuine! I came here to catch the end of the 49er -Seahawks game and everyone we interacted with, whether it be the manager or bartender, was attentive and pleasant. This isn't a regular sports bar; this is a sports fan's bar. If you're ever in the area, this bar and their other location in Edgewater are a must. Skip the chain restaurants... you'll regret the sub-par experience and service later.
google avatar

Veronica A.

Yelp
This place is top notch. Plenty of TVs with a great sound system. Perfect for watching a game. The staff are friendly, fun, and efficient.

Nik R.

Yelp
My buddy and I got a hankering for some fish and chips. We have this place a try, expecting some average bar food. The fish was surprisingly on point. Crispy, fresh, and super tasty. Washed down great with a glass of Tully. I hope they start offering malt vinegar on the side. We will return!

Rosi G.

Yelp
The girl serving us was sweet and I feel bad for her having to put up with the toxic BS . The manager was rude and screaming at my guest "I'm the manager this is my bar" when my guest was asking why she was so rude to us. My guest were never there before and one was a professional soccer playing trying to bring his friends but after that they promised to never go back. This type of toxic environment is not worth your money. It was unnecessary to cause a scene for no reason. Their barback accused me of talking shit to him when I did not acknowledge him. My only guess is when I went to the bar to order shots I was "standing to close" to him and he wanted attention that I did not give so he made a scene. Spend your money somewhere nice. This isn't it
google avatar

Charlie S.

Yelp
The Nachos are beyond amazing. You have to try them they are individual and so so so good. Incredible service. Perfectly socially distanced dining on open patio and we felt very safe. Our waiter/bar tender was awesome! He was on point.
google avatar

Nathan I.

Yelp
Great spot for Sunday football, with elevated bar food... oh and it's a 49ers bar!! How could it be better?? Great staff, too!

Miriam T.

Yelp
My first time here! I thought a guy I went to high school with worked here, but it turns out that he owns the place! Was on honeymoon, and I told my new husband, Scott, that we needed to try Gracie O'Malley's. His friend was our chauffeur for the day, and we all enjoyed the food and atmosphere. Scott and I had the Shepherds Pie and our first Moscow Mules! I also highly suggest the amazing cheese curds--they were slightly crispy, light, and delicious! I hope we can go there again sometime. If you see Wade there, say HI!
google avatar

Yas S.

Yelp
Great spot. They were very kid friendly and the food and drinks were great. Big shout out to the very friendly staff and great kitchen.
google avatar

Yelp
One of the best sports bars in wicker park! They have lots of TVs, dart boards, pop a shot and the bartenders are always friendly & attentive- wish I could give this place 6 stars!

Yelp
Brittany was the best server I've had ever, like legit I can't get over it, I might faint

Yelp
Came here for the packer/bears game... as a packer fan. Awesome atmosphere with a tv no matter where you sit. Stadium drink deal ($5 domestics) made the bears fans tolerable. Funny twist on raffle. Very much recommend for watching the game.

Khristina D.

Yelp
Guy at the door is trash. Mean and rude for no reason. Not a welcoming establishment, would not spend a dime there with how the door person treats people. His sweat on his dingy grey shirt is probably nastier than their floor.
