Gradska kavana Arsenal Restaurant

Had such an amazing experience here, it’s probably the best restaurant we visited in our week stay in Dubrovnik! We ordered the black risotto and the seafood risotto as well as two different wines and everything was phenomenal. The seafood risotto was the best I’ve ever had! We’ve also dined here for breakfast and that was equally wonderful, not to mention their lovely cocktails, coffees and a matcha latte which is hard to come by in the old town! The service is excellent, Mario especially was lovely! Definitely recommend if you’re in Dubrovnik!

Excellent service, the gentleman who served us was very helpful and super friendly. We ordered black risotto and burger, both are fire! They even offer us to try the walnut wine after the meal which is on the house. Definitely will come again if visit next time.

Highly recommend. Food is fresh and delicious. We ordered the sea bass and the fish stew with a side of house made focaccia. Will definitely be going back. Service was also great- attentive and kind. If you’re looking for a sweet treat, I would definitely get the hot chocolate. It’s rich and not too sweet at all. Prices were a bit higher than average for the area but worth every euro.

We visited this place multiple times during our week in Dubrovnik, each time we found it really welcoming and great quality. We dined out in the old ship docks in our first evening, and had cocktails out the other side near the square a few times. The food was great, with a lovely atmosphere which oozed class. The cocktails were delicious, and really well made. Price wasn’t bad, and we also got a 10% off card for its other sister restaurants around the city, which we were more than happy to take advantage of. Yes it’s a bit touristy, but that doesn’t take away from its charm and quality.

Fantastic restaurant!! We celebrated my boyfriends birthday in this restaurant and our waiter, Ana, was lovely and contributed to an amazing and memorable dining experience. She made sure we always had wine in our glass and took care of everything. The hosting staff was very helpful when organising a birthday cake and made sure it stayed a surprise till the end of the dinner. The food was absolutely delicious. We had black risotto as well as our favourite the octopus salad which made us return for lunch a few days later. Even after a conversation with locals they mentioned this as THE PLACE for the best octopus salad in Dubrovnik. The view on to the harbour is unbeatable with a welcoming atmosphere and a caring waiting staff.

“This place is truly beautiful; it was a fantastic experience. The food was incredibly delicious. I ordered the truffle mushroom pasta, sea bass, and tuna tartare. It was the perfect choice. The staff were friendly. It felt like a dreamlike evening. Since I was still jet-lagged and eating in the middle of the night, it felt even more surreal. I’m grateful to my friend who recommended this wonderful place. I definitely want to come back again. I must return!”

Food - 3/5 most of the dishes are under seasoned. We had Sea Bass which was baked in a wrap but came out heavy in flavor and fish slightly fishy. Squid was good but missing a bit of olive oil and salt. Mussels was blend - surprised that with so much garlic it was very light in flavor. And oyster - skip, no sweetness nor richness. Overall food is fresh but light in flavoring and not the best meal that we had in Croatia. Atmosphere and Service definitely outstanding! It is hard to get a table here, do recommend stopping by around 2-2:30pm for late lunch and wait for a table. We were seated in 10-15 min. View is really pretty, a lovely spot to people/boat watch!
