Two Redmond Residents Charged With Stealing $2,500 Worth of Dutch Bros. Drinks | Eater Portland

"I hear that Camas-area brewery Grains of Wrath will take over the former Lompoc Sidebar space on North Williams and open a Portland taproom this spring that will brew in the space and feature a full bar of “top-shelf” liquors." - Brooke Jackson-Glidden

This is my favorite brew pub in Clark County. Great Beer. Great Food. Great Attitude. We had several IPAs. They are all great. Built for Speed is a solid choice. Ripsaw, Oktoberfest Lager, and Onslaught Hazy were all good. The beef is all from local 4-H farms. The bread is amazing for the brioche buns. It is a solid win.

Cynthia S.

Google
Don't ever order their fries. It tasted like fried cardboard. The bartender offered a new batch when she noticed I hadn't really touched mine. The new batch was still the same lol fried cardboard. 😂 The bartender was nice. I think they need more than one bartender working at a time. She was very busy. We saw all of the awards they won, so we were excited to try their drinks! The drinks ended up being pretty mediocre. The atmosphere was really nice. They had a nice covered patio that felt a part of the restaurant with their garage style doors. If we're in the area, we might stop by. I don't think we'll plan another trip just to come here.

Google
Drinks, food and service is always great! I’ve grown accustomed to driving to Camas for dinner or catching the bus over for a drink from Curt the bartender. My favorites are the weekly sandwich specials since I’m usually there for dinner, Brussel Sprouts and the wings. For drinks, the old fashioned and sometimes the whiskey sour when I don’t drive myself. Worthy of trying and hopefully falling for the great staff and menu like I have!

Jess B.

Google
Great service. Our server was awesome. Food was pretty good. Some of the food came out not quite like we ordered it, but nothing that ruined the meal. It’s an open, almost garage-like atmosphere so it’s a tad cold even with the doors all closed. We will be back.

Pamela B.

Google
We enjoyed a Saturday brunch al fresco! So delightful. The food was delicious, our server was knowledgeable and attentive and we had a great time! Thank you!!

Susy G.

Google
We brought some family from out of state here and they left wanting to come back again. The service by Lindsey was PHENOMENAL. She is incredible and her recommendations were fantastic. We loved the jalapeno popper burger it was so good. We recommend this location to anyone who wants a great burger and a great beer. 10/10 recommendation

Colleen C.

Google
My partner and I went there for the first time with our friends, who we convinced to travel up from Portland to have a day in downtown Camas. While the food is original and fantastic, and the service was great, we found the cleanliness of the guest areas and bathrooms very poor: - The guest tables were sticky and greasy, and not wiped down between seatings. We left wanting to take showers the tables and chairs were so sticky and filthy. Suggest having hot soapy disinfectant buckets with fresh clean bar / table cloths used between guest seatings. The menus were also dirty and greasy - sticky. - The Host seating us is handling our tableware with hands not washed beforehand. That's a problem. - There were flies everywhere. Probably due to sticky greasy tables and the barrel of used wet hops at the entrance? We are local business loyal and have been for a decade. Please wash up the tables and bathrooms early and often between seatings for patrons.

Google
We love Grains of Wrath!! My son requests to go here after every jiu-jitsu tournament and they never disappoint. The service is outstanding, the food is always amazing and the beers on tap always hit the spot. I prefer any of their seasonal stouts or porters, especially in the Fall. From the wings, to the burgers, to the Fries of Wrath, we never leave hungry. Grains of Wrath is the best!!

Yelp
Grains of Wrath Brewing came to us by recommendation by a friend. I'm not a huge brewery guy but we decided to frequent this place for dinner a few times. GOW was great... this place is always hopping. Great space, great service, good food, solid drinks. Overall, you really can't go wrong with this place. The patio is solid in the warm months. Huge with plenty of seating. Being mostly open-air, it makes it very sound-friendly. The wait staff are always buzzing around and keeping it moving. Food is a solid BarFood+ in my book. Good options that they do modify every so often. I can appreciate a good salad with chicken and/or chicken sandwich. Price is on point, especially for the location they have in Camas. Parking is a SOB, but it's also downtown Camas. They just have their limitations. Overall, we're down to stop here for a rando meal every so often and haven't ever had a poor experience. Go and enjoy!

Yelp
We're so lucky to have Grains of Wrath right here in downtown Camas! It's one of my go-to spots -- I'm there at least once a week. Not only is it my kid's favorite place for chicken strips (they seriously set the bar high), but it's also the perfect spot to grab lunch with a friend or unwind on their amazing patio. The food is always delicious, the beers are top-tier and award-winning, and the service is consistently excellent. Even on busy Camas Days when the place was absolutely packed, the staff had everything running so smoothly -- crowd control, timing, and overall hospitality were all dialed in. Truly top-notch all around -- 10/10 recommend for locals and visitors alike.

Yelp
The jalapeño popper burger was delicious. Quality meat. The salad was delicious too. Top notch beer selection and it was tasty! We will be back.

Yelp
Fun environment and generally serves pub food so I should have passed it up but decided to give it a try and... worst poke bowl ever. Lesson learned... don't get a poke bowl from a beer pub. This had raw fish, as it should... but even the corn was raw. But who puts corn on poke??? The marinated cucumbers tasted old like it was made a month ago, and it had no flavor. The soy beans were good! Seaweed salad... no. If I come here again, next time I'll definitely order something else. Like the Bahn Mi burger. Roasted Cauliflower salad was ok; mostly Israeli couscous but the roasted cauliflower when you found it was good. The dish would be renamed Israeli Couscous Salad with Roasted Cauliflower so you're not expecting it to be majority cauliflower. Onion rings were great, build your own burgers were great. Even the veggie patty burger was okay. Mango gazpacho was a pass. Stick with the tried and true... burgers and fries. $100 for food we didn't eat but we still left a nice tip because it's not the servers fault.

Amanda A.

Yelp
Food and beer selection are good For price. Staff is friendly. Atmosphere is okay. Overall- Would recommend

Yelp
My husband really enjoyed his meal(Italian grinder) but I didn't like mine. Soggy and stringy French dip. I don't recommend. I took 3 or 4 bites and my food and told the waiter it was soggy and gross, the food was taken and no one offered to replace it or bring something else. Then we waited forever for our check. It was busy on a Friday night so I can understand. It was my first time here so I probably won't be back.
google avatar

Natalie F.

Yelp
Love the beer here, it's my husband's favorite. I haven't eaten here but did get the hubs the French dip and he said it was GREAT. He is a snob, soooo. The staff is also so nice, so accommodating, and always understanding. Would recommend.

Sabrina W.

Yelp
Outstanding experience at GOW! From the start, greeted by friendly host and seated immediately. Lucas, our server promptly brought water and was ready to provide beverages while we reviewed the menu. As our beverages were consumed, Lucas was at the table checking on us and a refill. We ordered food and it was quickly delivered piping hot to our table. Lucas was ever aware of our needs as the evening progressed, respectful and eager to create a great dining experience. Thank you Lucas for your warm personal service! We will be back!

Caran K.

Yelp
We had the best dinner the other night. We had the Steak Frites & they very savory & done just right, also great French fries! We ate in the bar & the bar tender was friendly & attentive. We got our order in a timely manner as well.

Yelp
This place is great, won a lot of past and recent beer awards, and that's not east here in the PNW, let alone national. Their IPAs are amazing! Great ambiance, families, dates or just lunch--fantastic. Indoor or outside, it's just great. Real industrial vibe, mixed with a little hardcore graphics--which is the goal. Now, the food. Inconsistency is the name of the game. My usual order is the blue cheese wedge with steak, the balsamic drizzle is crazy, sometimes it's big, sometimes not, but always good. If you find yourself in Camas, or make it a destination. Please do! Expect big things from this place. Finally, a brew pub that their beer is as good as the food or the other way round. Chicken sando is a must! I'd you'd like a beer review? Like or comment!

Yelp
This place is an unexpected treat! They have a huge outdoor area and it's kind of in the middle of everything in downtown Camas. Despite this place looking packed on a Saturday night, I was able to get a table for 3 with zero wait. I ended up ordering the Pork Bulgogi bowl and it was absolutely massive! Lots of tender meat in the bowl, but kim chi is on the spicier side so be prepared. Thankfully my friends that I was with had a spare Prilosec.

Jeanne Z.

Yelp
I have loved this place since moving to Camas 3 years ago. I was so disappointed today. I took a couple of friends here visiting from out of town. I told everyone how great the poke bowl is and we all ordered. The rice was crunchy and undercooked. I told the waiter and he went back to tell chef. He said rice is just cold not undercooked. We all said no it's undercooked. He went back again and said what can I do, not we will make this right. I said don't charge us. He said ok. But we got a bill and they knocked $3 off. Horrible customer service. Not waiter fault. Manager and/ or chef.
google avatar

Veronica G.

Yelp
Great service, good beer, not so great fries. Fries came out overcooked and dried out in the center. No offer to be taken off tab, didn't ask because if service was exceptional service would know.
google avatar

Mitzi S.

Yelp
Love Love Love Grains!! Their servers are some of the best in the area and their food and beer are top notch, not to mention a fantastic outdoor area.

Monica L.

Yelp
it's a great place. Our main complaint is so many flies. We were sitting inside. They almost should little other than that waiting for a long time, but the food was good and the ambience was fine.
google avatar

Greg G.

Yelp
Food was ok but I was very disappointed to see that they had given in to the advances made by their food service company and replaced their fresh cut fries with the vile batter dipped variety. I used to live coming here and the fries were almost second to none in the area. Why would you do that ? Sorry. I can't go here anymore as that's a bad move. Fries don't need more starch especially not that stuff they dip the fries in to make them greasier and supposedly crunchier but that's a pretty horrible offering. Probably saves time but it sure doesn't taste very good. Thumbs down for sure.
google avatar

David N.

Yelp
This place has great beers and also cocktails! Be prepared to be hungry if you are ordering food. The menu has good selection with great side dishes.
google avatar

Wendy G.

Yelp
On top of way-above-average beers, there is great food at the pub! I had a "taco salad" that was really outstanding, enjoyed a "flight" of tasters on the open air patio. The server was friendly and competent. Very friendly hostess at the door too. I have family in Camas, so it's great to have a "beer nerd" friendly spot that I don't have to travel to Portland for - and worth the trip to Camas even if you're based in Portland, in my opinion!

Holly F.

Yelp
Food was awful. Fish and chips that were supposedly halibut were so over fried they looked like they were fried in diesel oil when they came out and oozed oil upon touching them. The fish absolutely did not eat like halibut. Too oily, too flakey, not dense ... likely cod. Loved the service! Loved the atmosphere! Wish I ordered something else.

Yelp
GoW is just down the hill - walking distance, if I were inclined. It's one of those places that you drive past all the time, and sooner or later stop in and wow! why haven't I done this before. It's a gastropub that brews it's own beer -- and the GoW beers are very, very good, and somewhat artfully named ("Hail Santa", "Legion of Haze", "Papermaker Pale", "Weizenheimer", "Frost Hammer Helles", etc). In typical brew pub fashion, there's a bar section, a restaurant section, and a large outdoor patio with heaters which may or may not be open depending on the time of day, phase of the moon and various foreign exchange rates. If available, we frequently wind up with the same entrees -- my partner is super fond of the steak frites -- marinated filet coated in garlic herb butter, served with house fries and you should absolutely add a side of the chimichurri sauce. I'm mad for the chimichurri lamb burger - a third of a pound lamb patty with goat cheese topping plus the house chimichurri sauce, baby arugula, fresh onion shavings and tomato, plus a side of fries. With some frequency, if you arrive later in the evening, the lamb is sold out, which has led me to sample the rest of the menu. The spicy peanut butter burger is on par with all of the other peanut butter burger around. The fish and chips is also absolutely delightful -- and also frequently sells out. The banh mi burger is delightfully close to actual banh mi if you got banh mi as a cheeseburger... If you wanting more veggies, the beet salad is surprisingly good (surprising to me, as I typically don't like beets), the crispy Brussel sprouts are amazing, and the seared Ahi salad is often just the thing for a light lunch. Should you be looking for the opposite of "light"... their poutine is widely regarded as the best in Clark County. And the service is always great -- you can get samples of the brews on tap to help make up your mind (useful as there are typically about 20 available). Service is always friendly, helpful and speedy even when crowded. In short, GoW is the ideal neighborhood gastropub. Very highly recommended.

Yelp
Great patio. Love bringing my dogs. I'm always working a dog and this is a great place to expose dogs to restaurants. They are very friendly waitstaff and enjoy having puppers on the patio. Beer is great and so is the food. Great vibe
google avatar

Richard R.

Yelp
We frequent Grains of Wrath at least once a month and always enjoy our time here. The menu covers most of your popular pub requests. My go to is the Crispy Brussel Sprouts and Blue Cheese Wedge. My wife's favorite item is the Mediterranean Bowl. They do a nice job with their wings as well. The quality of the beer is exceptional here. Recently I had the Papermaker Pale and enjoyed that very much. If you are not in the mood for beer the bartenders can accommodate you with a tasty cocktail from one of the eighteen speciality drinks on the menu. If you love whiskey and scotch then you will need to visit here right away, they have an extensive selection of both. The only negative comment I have for GWB is there are times when their beer selections are very limited. It is not uncommon for them to be out of several offerings on the menu.
google avatar

Meeli L.

Yelp
Food is quite good, Brussels sprouts with bacon. Yum. Seared tuna salad. Nice drinks as well.

Nancy G.

Yelp
My sister and I each ordered the Taco Salad. It was the most blah taco salad I've ever seen or eaten. It was largely just torn up lettuce with a couple tiny chips sprinkled throughout . Truly a big nothing. My husband's nachos were equally unimpressive.
google avatar

Lisa S.

Yelp
I'm here again, working with my laptop out of the bar at grains of wrath brewing. "Adult grilled cheese" and Imperial Stout... What more could one ask for? Love the friendly service, the awesome music and delicious food. This is literally the perfect place to be. They also have a big awesome patio for sunny days and it's covered for rainy days! My new favorite brewery!
google avatar

caleb b.

Yelp
I thought the food was okay. The last couple times we've gone I've tried something new and it's been pretty mid. We used to go here all the time and supported even through COVID with take out but recently it seems like the food and restaurant got so fancy and away from just good old burgers and wings. And the quality shows
google avatar

Rose D.

Yelp
I'm a fan of eateries/brewpubs with big outdoor patios, so while hiking in the Camas area we opted for a late lunch on the patio at GOW. They have a solid lineup of their own beers to choose from along with some others and a great food menu with plenty of variety. We opted for a couple of beers and then shared a full-order of their Poutine and 6 wings with the Carolina Gold sauce. The food was delicious, but the Carolina Gold sauce was slathered on very, very thick on the wings so the only improvement would be if they used less sauce (and/or possibly thin the sauce as it was a thick/paste of a sauce...it tasted very good, though). The wings don't come with celery & carrot sticks though, so I guess that would be the second small improvement I'd suggest, as it's nice when those are included so you can try to tell yourself your meal was somewhat healthy because it had veggies. ;) At the moment you order at the bar (signs on the table tell you this) and then they give you a number and will bring your order to your table so I can't really speak to the service beyond everyone was very nice and the food came out pretty quick.

J J.

Yelp
This places is the best beer in PDX and it's in Camas which is even better. Their beers are varied and amazing (Vienna Lager and Mexican Lager hit the perfect notes), the food is delicious, and the service and story behind the gastropub is meaningful. Love love love this place.
google avatar

David S.

Yelp
Tried this place for the first time and was not impressed. I took my daughter here for dinner, and while the service was okay, the food was not. We ordered a half order of Poutine as an appetizer, and when they brought it, it was ice cold, honestly like it had been sitting in a refrigerator. I would have said something, but the server did not come back until he was bringing our dinner. I had the Crispy Chicken Sandwich, and it tasted like it was fried in really old oil. All in all, it's was not a great experience. This place has enough good reviews that maybe I caught them on a bad night.

Janine H.

Yelp
Shout out to service staff. They were busy, but we were served with a smile and very quickly. Thank you.

Gina L.

Yelp
The prime rib dip was absolutely delicious and I am going to be craving it until I can go back. Cider was delicious as well. Great gluten free options too!

Sharon M.

Yelp
Yummo! Ricky was amazing! Absolutely delicious meal! We arrived an hour before closing but Ricky was very accommodating, laughed with us and made it a very enjoyable dining experience!
google avatar

Mary T.

Yelp
I ordered the regular burger medium well and it came out over well done, the ends were so burnt they were hard as a rock and the burger was super dry. There aren't too many burgers that I can't finish but I couldn't even finish this burger because it was so burnt. I gave the review 2 stars because the fries and bun were good. If you are looking for a good burger I wouldn't recommend this restaurant.

Gavin J.

Yelp
I visited grains of wrath tonight, my food was good and came in a timely fashion which I liked. The service was great as well, with my server checking in every so often to see how I was doing. The ambiance was chill, it wasn't too busy but not empty either. However, the highlight of my night was Lucas Thomas. Although he wasn't my server I saw him constantly on his feet running from the kitchen to tables, and to the host stand as well. He was on top of his game tonight, as per usual I could imagine. Next time I visit I definitely want Lucas as my server, he seems like an upstanding guy:)
google avatar

Tiffany R.

Yelp
I would say overall all experience was very pleasant. Server was super nice Hostess was very friendly The food was decent for a beer place. Nice selection of beers and small nice selection of wines. I ordered the chicken finger and fries for the baby, I just wish they didn't add the house fry seasoning to it. It was super salty. Chicken strips were good. The wedge was drenched in sauce, I'd maybe ask for it on the side next time. The chicken wings were also drenched in sauce, which was fine this time but next time I'll probably ask for it on the side. Ambiance is nice and relaxing, outside and inside seating. Following guidelines.

Yelp
This is an update from my last review. Although I have been here several times since that, tonight was just sad. I ordered a steak salad. When it came to my table,it was missing some ingredients. I waited, no one came to check back. I went up to the bar to ask for the ingredients that were missing. A girl with white hair and a big white ponytail, said she was the manager, she argued with me about the salad. She actually pointed her highly lacquered fingernail close to my food and said, see there's a sunflower seed. I saw one! I asked her if I could have the onions, cilantro, more sunflower seeds, and Cotija cheese. There weren't any of these items on the $18 salad. She snarked at me, & walked away. When she finally brought the items to my table she slammed them down and walked away without looking at me. Still did not have the cheese! I actually didn't taste the crushed tortilla chips either:( She never came back and asked me if everything was OK now. I find this extremely terrible customer service. A manager should never act like that towards a customer. Before I left I told her that she was rude and it was bad service. She pretty much laughed in my face. This is so sad, because I have always enjoyed my visits here. Unfortunately this left a very bad taste in my mouth and I will not be returning anytime soon. Sorry but I plan on posting this review and other sites. The owners of this establishment should check with the other Team members, to see if there has been a problem with this particular manager before. Not good:( I want to add that the bartender who originally took care of me while I was ordering, was very good and helpful. Too bad about the manager.

Zach H.

Yelp
We come here all the time and often bring guests from out of town. Everybody loves it. They make an exceptional burger. They have great specials and great beer too.
google avatar

Carolyn S.

Yelp
Menu description for the Cauliflower salad was misleading. Description: Israeli couscous, roasted cauliflower, onion, parsley, almonds, breadcrumbs, caper-raisin vinaigrette. Reality: Large bowl of Acini de Pepe pasta, with a few very small scraps of cauliflower and table scraps of broccoli. About 1 Tbl of Bread crumbs. No sign of almonds, capers or raisins. Salad dressing was very sweet. For someone expecting a healthy Keto friendly lunch, this was very disappointing.
google avatar

Jim W.

Yelp
Enjoyed the food and beer. The service was friendly and prompt and there's plenty of seating, including an out door option
google avatar

Traci M.

Yelp
Came here on a Sunday evening it was Mother's Day they were still open not too busy we got a table In the hi top bar area the service was pretty good the bartender was attentive nice selection of beers we both got the bánh mì burger I had a beyond meat burger so I appreciated having that option for me the burger was really good I definitely recommend it however we probably waited at least 40 minutes for our food which considering the restaurant wasn't super full seemed a little long otherwise had a good time would probably go back there and try the other Thai themed burger or one of the Mac and cheeses looked good

Dani E.

Yelp
Their jalapeño popper burger is so unbelievably good! I haven't had anything bad from them yet. Their service is also amazing. All around a great atmosphere and experience!!

Yelp
Great brewery located in Camus! When I arrived at Grains of Wrath I wanted a beer that was pretty light. Nothing too robust or with body. I settled on a goze beer that they had and really enjoyed the beer! It was exactly what I was looking for and relaxing at the bar did me good for the weekend trip I was on. As I enjoyed my beer I became intrigued with their t shirts. They had quite a variety but some of the ones I chose were not in my size. The one I decided on to purchase was in my size... I bought two and I enjoy them very much. Thanks to the hosts and the bartender for going in the back more than once to get the t shirts I settled on. They were very patient and friendly the whole time and I definitely appreciate it. I don't like being a high maintenance customer but I was bound and determined to leave with some swag because I like the logos for the brewery so much!

Kirsten M.

Yelp
We come here almost every Tuesday for the lunch special. Always super respectful and tip generously.. except the past few times we have been served by Linh.. she's been EXTREMELY rude. She greeted us at our table by saying "are you ready to order. If not I'm going to the other table" ... she never even asked us if we wanted drinks. Then proceeded to mess up our orders which happens so we were understanding but then tried proving us wrong. She brought us one check so we kindly asked her to split them and she was huffing and puffing and rolling her eyes. We were so thrown off by her behavior and gave her the benefit of the doubt the first time. Would just like to note, I'm not one to leave bad reviews and have worked in service so I understand how it can be difficult and draining. However I do my best to treat service workers with upmost respect and the fact that she thought it was okay to treat us poorly for no reason is what I can't wrap my head around.

Corin L.

Yelp
Corin W. My husband and I go there often for lunch or dinner , we love their burgers and cut fries! We always ask to be put in Linh's section if she is working, she is always very friendly, tells us what the specials are, is always asking if we need refills etc... on a timely manner, she's simply AMAZING!!!

Lea R.

Yelp
I come here frequently, usually with family, sometimes with friends. Over the last week I actually went twice :) My server both times was Lihn (or Linh?) and she's fantastic and funny! The place was really busy both times and she was still attentive. She kept our pinapple habañero margaritas flowing! (highly recommend). I noticed the new menu and was a little disappointed both the Bahn Mi Burger and the Bulgogi Bowl were gone. I decided to try the Ahi Tuna Bowl and it was actually really good. I appreciate they have choices other than the generic Brew Pub food other places have.

Yelp
We have never had a bad meal or service at Grains of Wrath. We appreciate a restaurant we like to come back to

Yelp
Great burgers and salads at this locally owned gem. Great service and a nice variety of both food and drink. Lots of beers on tap with a few ciders and cocktails too!
google avatar

Bernadette D.

Yelp
Great beer and great food! Super friendly staff with lots of good recommendations. We enjoyed a burger and salad and of course some great beer. Looking forward to our next visit!! Also, very pet friendly!

StayMad H.

Yelp
Grains has made a statement as it uses space well (always wish bar area could be bigger), serves fresh foods and has a great menu selection. Camas has a gem. Now they just need a bit more acoustic absorption for noise and it would move into my top 5 out of 10 places to bring family and friends. Love supporting local!
