Hey, y'all, Calicowgirl is back again with another fantastic experience. I worked in Kentucky over the past week at the Louisville boat show. While we were there, we had brunch at this amazing renovated house. It was spectacular. Right on brand for me; I was running late, so we didn't arrive until 45 minutes before they closed, but they took care of us as we arrived. When they opened the door, the staff was gracious and explained everything to picky eaters kindly and patiently. I didn't use to like restaurants where you pay at the counter before you sit down to eat, but now, being in the south, it's a bit more casual here than in Los Angeles, so I've gotten used to it, and I don't think that it is strange anymore. The restaurant was the highlight of this amazing BnB that, I'm guessing, is being operated upstairs. I didn't notice it, but my girlfriend did, and she told me about that BnB sign--next time in Louisville, I will be checking out the whole experience. Now, let's get into the food. I had a hard time deciding since the entire menu was pretty impressive. Still, I finally decided on the Burrata toast, whipped and topped with an orange marmalade on top of a Texas-style butter toast, which was buttery and soft like pillows or clouds. Then I proceeded to get the egg and grains, a plate of a Mediterranean breakfast with two beautiful poached eggs topped with feta cheese. A must-try is their signature bourbon coffee drink on their regular menu. Thank you to the whole team, and I will be back soon to try more on the menu. I should mention my friend Kelishia got the smoked trout plate. Hers was fantastic also.
