Gran Cafe Brava

We enjoyed the dinner so much! We had multiple mini breads with different toppings, tacos and nachos. All delicious and fresh. The waitress was super kind and present, kitchen group super fast and there was a lovely atmosphere, even on a Thursday evening. We are very happy and satisfied!

La Brava is my favourite tapas restaurant in the Netherlands. I am Spanish myself and the quality, variety of the food and the service are excellent. I would recommend this nice tapas restaurant if you are in Utrecht. You will repeat, because is top!

We held our Christmas dinner at Grand Café Brava last night and couldn’t have chosen a better spot. The location is perfect — just a few steps from Escaping Utrecht, which made it incredibly easy to coordinate everything for a big group after our escape room activity. From the start, the staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. A special thank you to Timo, who stayed in touch with me throughout the planning to make sure everything went smoothly. They even allowed me to drop off small gifts earlier in the day so I didn’t have to carry them around — such a thoughtful gesture that made a big difference. The sangria deal was great for a group setting, and they handled dietary restrictions effortlessly, which everyone appreciated. I received so many compliments about the dinner — but of course, all the credit goes to Café Brava and their amazing team. Highly recommended for group events, celebrations, or just a cozy night out. We will definitely be back!

Everything was fresh and looked appetising, however, we weren’t really impressed by the flavours.

Great service! Really fast and kind (it also seems like all the staff are friends which is nice). The paella was really really good and that’s not easy to achieve! Same for the sangria. The menu looks really well made, looking forward to trying more things. Great to have such a good place in the neighborhood :)

Every single dish was more than amazing!! I think you rarely find a place that every item is so tasteful!! My bf is Portuguese and I am Greek so we know the drill. The service is also very kind.

I’m Mexican, and I can say that the tacos barbacoa are the best I’ve tasted in the Netherlands. I’m not kidding! 🤩💕

This is a cosy casual restaurant. You can have drinks and tapas at the bar or at the dinner table if available. We had no reservation so we sat at the bar but it was very comfortable. We had Carpacio de pulpo, Estofado de carne, Pompoensoepje and Calamares, all were very delicious. It is a nice place to gather with big group of friends as there is a lot of space! The employees were friendly and have made good suggestions from the menu :) I would Recommend to anyone who would like to have some tapas and drinks in a cosy place :)
