"A bar specializing in tapas and Spanish pinchos is the latest addition to Manhattan’s historic Stone Street. Bodega Gran Via serves aged jamon, patatas bravas, and manchego cheese from a small pub with mostly counter seating, “the way a tapas bar should be,” according to its Instagram page." - Emma Orlow

Good outdoor service. Excellent artichokes and lamb meatballs. Octopus potato was ok. Manchego cheese was good and generous. Jamon color was unusual. Cocktails were so-so. Will stick to wine next time. All portions generous and nicely priced. No dessert.

This is a neighborhood gem! Very solid tapas and wine selection. Live music performance from time to time. The best jamón downtown! Lovely rioja and albarino. Either a late night snack or a dinner date, this place will impress the entire party. -- Came back with my out of town friend. She is also very impressed. Unfortunately schedule didn't permit a later night visit on Thursday, when Gypsy King will play here! Till next time!

Stopped in after trivia nearby and what a great place. Was pretty empty on a Sunday night, which was perfect for us. Three of us sat at the bar and the bartender provided great recommendations on what to order. Everything was delicious and if it weren't so late, would have tried more items. As most items were recommended, don't have descriptions. I recommend be adventurous and try something new.

Overall do not recommend. We went on a Saturday night and the place was almost entirely empty (to illustrate no reason for lack in service). Our server forgot to include the garnish with the Bloody Mary and the chips/bread with the charcuterie board (had to ask her to bring out both, which she then did). The bread, even by crostini standards, was stale. The homemade chips were good though. The server told us the mussels were from a can, and we should’ve listened because they definitely were from-a-can quality. Tried to order their signature Old Fashioned, but we were told it is only made in batch and they didn’t have any prepared. The tablero charcuterie board, we did a half-board and it was overpriced for what it was. The croquettes were good but small for the price. Ultimately we decided to end our dinner early and look for another restaurant on stone street. We were there for a birthday celebration and cannot recommend.

It was not crowded, the service was quick & the people were extremely friendly. The food was delicious and drinks, of course, on point and quick to the table. It's a great stop along your journey if you're either parched & or hungry.😊😉

An authentic Spanish tapas bar in the heart of FiDi! What a hidden gem. As someone who lived in Spain for a few months, this brings back such good memories. Sat at the bar for a quick drink and some tapas. Very good prices. Had two mushroom and manchego croquetas which just melt in your mouth, and vegetarian pinchos. My only gripe was that the pinchos tasted a little soapy - not sure why. Other than that, great ambiance - they play live music on Thursday nights!

Great place with excellent vibes. We sat at the bar and had a great time. Vito took time to give us his recommendations and we loved them. Affordable prices for great food. Not in the picture : manchego with membrillo and assortment of bread and chips. To drink we had a Clara ( beer with Lemon Kas) definitely try it during the summer and Cidra ( basque cider ) . He even served it the traditional way !! We will def come back. We loved that the servers and bartenders spoke Spanish. Making us feel like home .

Yelp
While in the city, my partner and I were looking for a lowkey spot to grab a small bite, and cocktail within close proximity to our hotel. This place came up in my Yelp search so we decided to check it out. Once we were seated and able to check out the menu, we opted for meatballs, the pulpo and cocktails. And the chocolate lava cake to finish. The dishes, drink and dessert we had were great. If the few dishes we ordered tasted that great. I can only imagine how great the rest of the menu must be. It's a cozy, dimly lit but inviting spot. And the service was good. I can't wait to return!

Yelp
Randomly stumbled upon this Spanish restaurant on Stone Street while looking for a casual place to grab food. The restaurant on a Thursday night had a convivial atmosphere with a live music and people dancing. Food itself was pretty solid. We shared the Patatas bravas, some pinchos, albondigas, and other small plates. All of it was pretty good but not extraordinary. Service was pretty good too. If you're in the mood for some casual Spanish food this is likely the best option in the area.

Yelp
My bf is already a regular but last time I visited him he took me there for a couple of times and, honestly, I couldn't have enough! It was amazing! The food, the ambiance, the music!! Vitto, the barman, makes amazing drinks specially mojitos!! Great service too!! A must go if you're in the FiDi area!!

Yelp
Great spot for small bites! They sometimes have live music which is fun, too. Staff is really friendly and attentive.

Yelp
Very friendly service - we were seated right as we walked in despite only one bartender being there with a full bar! The tapas are extremely delicious and our waiter was just excited for us to try the food as we were. The croquetas were fantastic and probably my personal favorite thing on the menu. But everything was also very fairly priced so for 2 people we only spent $40 (tip included). Will be back to try the wine!

Yelp
Just over the top spectacular. Had the Seafood Paella. Blistered Peppers as an appetizer and a couple of skewers also came with a variety of tasty bites attached. Everything was super tasty and also super clean and healthy food. i understand they have Flamenco Thursdays with a small band, and I hear it gets packed. Just a great place that you must check out !!

Yelp
Stumbled upon this new spot on Stone Street with a friend on a packed Friday evening. Surprisingly, it was quite empty. We were seated swiftly by a friendly waiter. We indulged in some pintxos and tapas, along with a pitcher of Tinto - everything was tasty except for the razor clam and garlic shrimp, a bit chewy and overcooked. Drinks were delicious though! Looking forward to giving it another shot as it evolves

Yelp
Fantastic place. Quick service at the bar. Got a margarita, blistered peppers and the octopus. Everything was great. Fun atmosphere and awesome food

Yelp
Very impressed! Try the morcilla and all of the croquetas. A piece of the motherland in the heart of FiDi.

Yelp
Excellent cocktails and tapas. Makes me feel like I'm back in Spain! Bartenders are really attentive.

Yelp
Great new Spanish addition to FiDi! Sit inside to avoid the stone street crowd and have a great meal. The pitcher of Sangria (a few varieties available) for only $40 is a steal and poured maybe 8+ great drinks. The Pinchos and Croquettes were all tasty and the Chorizo and Shrimp Ajillo were good larger plates. The Artichokes were amazing and everyone's favorite. We finished off with the burger and patatas Bravas which were also good. Come for the sangria and share a few bites for a great lunch or dinner.
