I stopped by after the Celtics Duck boat parade and the place was packed, as one might expect, especially on a nice Friday afternoon in the summer. The ambiance is very warm; the brick structure lends an old world feel and charm of the Colonial era gone by. I was able to get a seat at the bar and the bartender was very pleasant and congenial. The service seemed to be on par, albeit a bit slow, and the pub food menu would appeal to a wide variety of palates. I had the Sweet Potato Croquettes for an appetizer and a Lobster Roll as the main course. The food was average but acceptable quality, as with similar places that cater to mainstream cuisine, but a bit pricey. The restaurant is located very close to the New England Aquarium, and the iconic Boston attraction - Faneuil Hall/Quincy market. If you are visiting the area, or want to have a quick meal with standard fare while taking in the nostalgic vibe of the storied Milk Street (old Boston commercial center and a culinary show namesake), this would be a good place to stop by.

This is a gastropub right next to the aquarium, which is super convenient if you plan to visit the aquarium. The fish & chips is a bit pricey but they do give you large portions so that helps. The shrimp was also good but there is a big upcharge when you add it to the salads (+12 dollars). The mussels were okay and the breakfast nachos were good. Overall, a good place to check out if you're in the mood for seafood.

Stopped here for a drink (Irish Coffee) and Spinach Artichoke app. Food was on the pricey side (~$46 without tips for 2 drinks and the app), but service and the decor were very nice! The app was tasty, and the Irish coffee was okay (not the best I've had)

Justin was amazing! He was very helpful and able to answer all the questions my two year old had! As well as the many mayo runs he did! We also had some apps that were great! We had the ragoon, osters and mussels! Across the street from the aquarium - we stopped here after!

Very nice spot for food and drinks. Our waitress service started out good and then went down hill. I've never seen an ice tray with oyster shells, used lemons and plates stay the entire dinner melting away. I was never asked if I wanted another $14 drink which I'm sure the owner wants to sell. We also had to share our water. My wife said (she just watched you taking some of my water and never came over) A little food left and we finally were served a carafe of water. Waited a while for the check. Several tables around us empty. I stood up to find someone and she came over.

The building, dinning set up and wall art are beautiful. The bartender and our server were absolutely rude. They do not have soda fountains. They have canned flat Pepsi and Diet Pepsi that is probably expired they pour in a glass for you and it’s nasty. I asked for two lemons at the bar because our waiter did not seem thrilled to serve us. The bartender did not hand me the lemons but handed them to the server to hand to me which was extremely annoying because yet again I was WAITING FOR THEM. The clam chowder was really good and so was the fish. The coleslaw sucked. There wasn’t enough vinegar and the kale was old. Very expensive for a bad time. I definitely would NOT go back.

Google
Quaint gathering place with excellent food and drinks. The "What the Duck" drink comes with a fun little duck float! Garlic knots and Brussel Sprouts were delicious!!! Margherita Flatbread was also good but was too full to finish.

Visited on 2/3/24. A mouse turned out to be three mice in the dining room. As prior reviews have started, mice were running around the dining room. Three of them. We left our boxed leftovers behind as we were feeling uneasy about the questionable unsanitary kitchen environment. Seeing other prior reviews tells me the management and owners are indifferent. The location is very convenient. The decor is nice. The food is decent pub food. Rodents are a deal breaker for us. Will not be returning.

Yelp
Granary tavern is definitely a convenient spot to get lunch if you are in Boston or visiting the harbor walk. Lots of seating inside both upstairs and downstairs. They also have outdoor seating overlooking the greenway which is nice. Very average menu for what you would expect in this location including market priced lobster and other salads/sandwiches for lunch. The Nashville Hot chicken sandwich was good but if you really like Nashville hot I would ask them to make sure it's actually hot! Mine was a bit mild for my taste. Overall good place to go with friends for food and drinks but I don't think I would come here for a date or for dinner with visitors.

Yelp
Very cool ambiance coupled with average food, service and loud noise. Looks great but not my cup of tea for a sit down meal. I might visit for a night call drink or two.

Yelp
I visited Granary Tavern with some colleagues for a work dinner and left completely pleased with the environment and the food. We were seated in the lower-level room, a semi-private setting with just the tables for our group and a bar. Our party had ordered ahead some appetizers which came out right after we arrived - they were a hit and a great complement to the drinks and mingling the group was doing. The items both looked at tasted great. The lobster rangoons were very flavorful and the bang bang cauliflower was the surprise hit of the night. The garlic knots and margherita flatbreads were nice baseline items that worked for anyone in the group as well. I had The Tavern sandwich for my entree and while it was very good, it didn't blow me away as I had hoped, although I appreciated that combination of flavors. Others at my table had the grilled chicken sandwich, salads, and the meatballs and I didn't hear complaints! The staff was very attentive and helpful as we mingled while eating the appetizers instead of being at the tables, and helped us re-arrange tables as the number of our party changed and made the initial setup inefficient for our needs. The restaurant overall had a great look and vibe, and the lower-level room was perfect for a larger group. It was a cozy, inviting space to eat and chat.

Yelp
Very good place for dinner in a convenient location right by the New England Aquarium on Milk St. If you're anything like me, it's a real Bostonian privilege to be able to spend a day at the aquarium and conclude the day with dinner downtown. My girlfriend and I came here for dinner on a Sunday around 5PM. Right off the bat, I noticed that the restaurant is clean and elegant, and that the host was very friendly. Very good vibes right off the bat. I asked for a table by an outlet so I could charge my phone, and the host was very accommodating and went to go check if they had one available. We were seated, and I was happy that I could charge my phone while dining. We ordered Shirley Temples as our drink and two entrees for dinner. The Shirleys were very good, had a perfect amount of grenadine, and were aesthetically pleasing. For my entree, I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich which came with fries. It was very good and I enjoyed having ciabatta bread as the vessel. It was jam packed with bacon, chipotle mayo, and avocado. The fries were also very tasty, with the right amount of salt and a perfect cut (not too thin, not too thick, but juuuuust right!). My girlfriend ordered the Thai salad which she got as a half portion with additional grilled chicken. It was very good, but a bit on the sweeter side with the ingridients and dressing. It also came with noodles which were a good addition. In short, the food was very delicious, but the service was a bit on the slower side despite the restaurant not being crowded at all. We had to wait a while between ordering, getting our food, and getting the bill. However, the staff was very friendly and accommodating, so I give them five stars. This will now be my go-to place when I visit the wharf. Good job Granary!

Yelp
Not gonna lie this place is a cool little hub. First place as a tourist hearing the Bostonian accent. I went here with my coworkers during Valentine's and it was a good vibe. Ambiance: Old school, rustic. It's a tavern guys. Chill Cozy lights. Food: Lobster rangoons were pricey and okay. like I didn't expect much, but could use more creaminess. Truffle fries were good though! Crispy, salty, with a hint of truffle. Service: Awesome. We were complicated when it comes to payment , but the waitress knew what to do . A nice chill place to hang out for drinks!

Steph W.

Yelp
We tried sitting outside but it was a bit too windy when we sat down so we decided to move inside. They accommodated our party of 4 no problem. It was a Saturday around 4pm. Hostess wasn't overly friendly. The waiter was tentative and friendly. The inside of the restaurant is a bit loud but it's to be expected with the design. It's a different vibe, and there is a downstairs seating area as well which we've sat in before during another visit. I got the french dip which was good. The bread was fluffy and the meat was tender but not "rare" as stated on the menu. Homemade potato chips were tasty. My partner enjoyed his fish and coleslaw. Fries were nothing to really write home about but still passable.

Yelp
On the day we visited, brunch was still being served at 2 which was perfect. All 3 of our meals were delicious. I had the overnight oats - very hearty and filling. We had a couple of cocktails which were tasty and well crafted. The prices were average for being in a more tourist-y part of the city. Our service was good and the view from the window was quite nice. A for ambience! Worth noting: the door under the The Granary sign was not the correct entry way. Gotta go to the next door down if you want to get in.

Yelp
While touristing, I checked Yelp and found this downtown Boston gem. Absolutely a five star experience! Outstanding service, an outside table with a great view, and exceptional seafood, oh and craft beers . This is on my "repeater" list on our next visit to Boston. You'll not be disappointed.

John H.

Yelp
Walking toward the harbor I detoured for brunch. Glad I did. A watering hole with awesome food & service. Reasonable and enjoyed my time. Vibrate. Outside seating available for enjoyment.

Yelp
Granary is conveniently located steps away from the aquarium, and it was a great stop for my girlfriend and I after our afternoon there. We came in shortly after 5, and it wasn't terribly crowded yet. We were seated pretty promptly, but otherwise the service was slower than expected given the amount of customers at the time. However, the employees were so polite and that really made up for it. We were in a slightly less crowded area of the restaurant and had a great view of downtown. I ordered the thai salad and added chicken, and it was good! I would have preferred the noodles warm instead of cold, but that's just personal preference - when my girlfriend tried them, she liked them exactly how they were. It was on the sweeter side, but still good! I would definitely order this again on a warm day in the spring or summer. My girlfriend ordered the grilled chicken sandwich and fries and that was delicious from what I tried. The fries were perfectly crispy and I liked the chipotle mayo! We also ordered shirley temples which were flavorful and had a great soda-grenadine ratio. Overall, a great stop downtown/near the aquarium for lunch or dinner!

Savannah K.

Yelp
Overall, we had an okay experience here! Solid 3 stars. The service was good, the vibe and atmosphere was great, super cute place with great outdoor seating. The food was just alright. The tavern sandwich was very unique tasting but good (3 stars). The Caesar salad was okay, but they put too much dressing on it so I would recommend asking for the dressing on the side! The Boston Dip sandwich was good (4/5) stars! And the salt and vinegar dip was okay, a bit too strong of a blue cheese flavor for me though (2.5/5). The prices were decent, with it being in a great and central location.

Yelp
Our server forgot to put my husband's dinner order into the kitchen. When we asked about it she said she "thought he had already received it" because when she came to check on us, we said everything was fine so far (we had our appetizer). Later she told us they had delivered his meal to another table. Then we waited a ridiculous amount of time just to pay the bill. They took my husband's dinner off the bill, but we won't return.

Yelp
Very disappointed in our lunch experience earlier this week. The temperatures in Boston were in the mid 90's & we were looking for a place to cool down & have lunch. The temperature inside the restaurant was just as hot as outside. In hindsight, we should have left & ate elsewhere but stayed & literally sweat the whole time we were there. Our server was great & the food was good, but it was so uncomfortable to eat while profusely sweating . We were told by our server that the restaurant had been without air conditioning for 4 days. We spoke with the manager to express our disappointment and not understanding how they could expect people to enjoy a meal in those temperatures, as well as, expecting servers to work in those conditions. He really had no helpful response. It was very hot, humid & disappointing.

Alexandra M.

Yelp
Sat outside because it was nice outside and inside was so dark. I ordered the avocado corn flatbread which had: 1/4 of an avocado, 10 kernels of corn, and 1 cherry tomato. It was 90% cheese, which was listed as the last ingredient, which usually means it's the least used item....service did not bring us a bottle of water (which others had) and out table saw no employees for long enough (our mini glasses were empty) that we had to go inside and find someone. Our server was only seen to take our orders and bring the check. Water and food were brought by others.

Victoria W.

Yelp
We stopped there for lunch after the aquarium. We ordered the margarita flat bread, clam chowder and the beef dip. The au jus that came with the dip was good enough to drink. I think it was their french onion soup base. It was also one of the better clam chowders I've had in Boston.

Daniel L.

Yelp
Stopped in here for lunch on a trip to Boston. Service at the bar was friendly and fast. I was greeted quickly and served a nice cold beer while I decided what to have. I started with the clam chowder and then had the Connecticut style warm lobster roll. They were both excellent, some of the best I've had in the area. The restaurant/bar is great with a cozy feel, tvs and plenty of seating.

Kathy L.

Yelp
We loved the cute seating and diverse aesthetics here. Our server Olivia was awesome! She helped sub out fries and even got extra pita chips for our spinach dip app, which we didn't even ask for. It was our favorite dish. As for the rest, the burger and flatbread were good. Very well made, but not something to crave. The steak, though an incredible and fresh cut of bistro cooked to a perfect medium rare, was not seasoned, at all. It tasted as if the chef forgot salt. Luckily our salt shaker was full. For all the competition they have in the area, it's a hard sell coming back again.

Jen S.

Yelp
Came here after visiting the aquarium. Was with a friend from college. We haven't seen each other in years. The Brunch menu has a great selection of breakfast and lunch items. It's definitely decently priced. We all got the fried chicken sandwich. It was the most delicious chicken sandwich I've ever had. It wasn't spicy at all - maybe a tiny kick. The breading was perfectly crispy. No chewy parts of the chicken. The bun was perfect and buttery. The fries were great. I also had a cocktail called Witch Hazel. There was a little spiciness in that. They also have a good kid's menu and high chairs for toddlers. For a Saturday afternoon I thought it would be more crowded but it wasn't. Service was fast and great. Hadn't been here before in our 15 years living here and we will most definitely be back.

Mary R.

Yelp
We had a great meal here, and the service was spot on with Justin as our server. The clam chowder is hearty and it's a big portion. We also enjoyed the oysters. Fresh and meaty. We would return but there are so many other places to explore. Nice Job Granary!

Ashlie C.

Yelp
We ended up here by chance after a tour in the area. The Granary has a great vibe, casual atmosphere, and delicious food. The Brussels flatbread was delish!

Renee M.

Yelp
Very disappointed that they are taking advantage of people by misrepresenting their prices. Every menu item we tried to order was not available as the menu stated. For instance, there were numerous options that were offered as half portions. When we tried to order these we were told the chef refused to make a half and that only whole options were available today. My father ordered an omelet and he asked for toppings that the menu said were included and when the bill came we were charged for every item separately making it a $25 omelette. Food quality was not good and portions were small. I'd go somewhere else in the area.

Jennifer S.

Yelp
Ambiance, eats, and drinks welcome you into this totally cool place. I like older places -- a lot. And this is it. It's large, kind of loud, and darn good. The clam chowder is so delicious!!! There's are lots of other offerings, including sandwiches (including a lobster roll). Chicken and waffles, mac and cheese, salmon, fish & chips -- lots of choices. And a first rate bar!!!

Chris C.

Yelp
Visited 2/3/24. One mouse turned out to be three mice running around the dining room. Many reviews on yelp and google mentioning the same thing. Food is expensive for bland, not notable taste. Rodents are a deal breaker. We will not be returning.

Kathy A.

Yelp
On this Saturday we were a party of six, two families from Kansas and NJ who haven't seen one another in many months. There were many empty tables, including two tables for five, which were unoccupied. The hostess told us we could sit at two tables back to back and the tables could not be placed together. I said we could sit anywhere. She made no effort to try to accommodate our party so we eat our meal together. Not only did they lose out on the $250+ tab, they have lost a future customer. One star because they were open

Allison T.

Yelp
Great spot that's local to the financial district but also by the water. I never rush back here but it's always solid. The cauliflower I would not get again - not gross but very eh. My salad with salmon was good but nothing crazy either. Middle of the road food

Rick S.

Yelp
We stopped here for lunch after a great visit to the Boston Aquarium across the street, and everything about our meal was fantastic. My wife wanted to try some clam chowder and have a salad, so we got a bowl and a Caesar Salad for her, and I got the Fish & Chips. We shared our meal, and my son got the Chicken Pesto Flatbread. Our server, Justin, was pleasant and attentive, and brought our food promptly, checking in to see if we needed anything a couple of times despite the busy lunch hour. We had a wheelchair that was easily accommodated and the staff were so friendly and helpful! We felt very welcome immediately. The chowder was freshly made, and not from a can! The potatoes were diced nicely in it, and not overcooked. It was rich and flavorful. The salad was crisp and delicious too. The fried Cod in the Fish & Chips was cooked perfectly, crisp and not too greasy. The coleslaw that came with it was the best coleslaw I have had in years. It was perfect, with a dressing that wasn't too sweet, but perfectly balanced. My son loved his flatbread, with fresh basil, pesto chicken and some spicy arugula sprouts on top for a little crunch and flavor. We had a window seat that allowed us a sunny view, and the interior decor is warm wood and historic without being corny or 'cracker barrel' like. The prices were also excellent too. We will definitely eat here again the next time we are in Boston. Two thumbs up and five stars!

Nicole R.

Yelp
Excellent breakfast! I've been here before and love the atmosphere. Sat outside this time and had breakfast. The biscuit was amazing that came with the breakfast. I had to add a pancake because they just looked so good! Everything was delicious! Staff was friendly, highly recommend!

amy h.

Yelp
We rented out the basement room pretty cool. Spent 3,5k then they kicked us I'm out . They don't give AF. We had to go upstairs and there were mice no dice .i let them know and they were like ok. So yeah

John G.

Yelp
We were so hungry when we got here. We just finished doing the entire Freedom Trail and we were starving. We were seated immediately. The service was decent. The place has charm and character to it. The beers are cold. My party got the clam chowder and I got the hamburger and fries. Everything was excellent. I killed the hamburger. We would go back. Prices were reasonable for the area.

Kaitlyn M.

Yelp
I had a wonderful lunch experience this week at Granary Tavern! First off, the staff were unbelievably kind and welcoming - they were all easygoing yet attentive, and our orders came out quickly (which often isn't the case around lunchtime in the financial district - many restaurants tend to get busy and hectic around that time!) The interior is great - definitely has a pub-like/tavern vibe (as the name suggests), but with plenty of natural light by the windows. I've only been there for lunch, but it seems like it would be a great pick for dinner as well, ambiance-wise. Top 3 orders: Espresso martini: Ah, my favorite. I got my espresso martini with Bailey's, but they make it both ways! I loved the flavor - definitely pretty strong, and not too sweet but you could taste every ingredient. Added bonus - looked beautiful with the classic three espresso beans on top! French onion soup: I order this pretty much everywhere I go, and am literally addicted to cheese, but with those two things aside this French onion soup was so, so good!! Amazingly cheesy and when I received it, the bread/crouton portion of the soup wasn't soggy by any means. The broth was a bit salty but had a ton of onions in it - all in all would DEFINITELY order again. Emphasizing the cheese-based perfection here! Truffle fries: YOU NEED TO GET THESE! Whatever you do, get these truffle fries. The flavor was UNREAL, they had so much shaved parmesan, and they were perfectly crispy. I had mine with the lobster roll (which was also SO good) and probably could've spent my whole meal just eating these. Couldn't recommend more! (Note that my fry habits are a little out of the ordinary - I always like mine with a mayo/aioli instead of ketchup - and their mayo was 10/10 with the fries.) Thanks to Granary Tavern for an excellent lunch. I'll definitely be back soon - such a great place for a lunch during the work day or a dinner afterwards!

Yelp
After walking around trying to find a bar on a Friday night, we settled on this place. Our friend, who now lives in Boston, brought us here and been here before. We walked in and was a bit confused about if we could just sit or go to the bar. Finally a woman showed up and she didn't seat us but had to get someone else to find out where we could sit. I think we just settled in a nearby table. And after a few minutes of waiting, we were finally brought menus and orders were taken some time after that. We really only saw the bartender and the first lady the whole time we were there, working. Very odd. It was just before 10pm when we arrived so it wasn't that late. I ended up getting a couple of their mixed drinks - the witch hazel and the wonder worker. The witch hazel supposedly have watermelon puree, but I didn't really see or taste it. But I preferred that to the wonder worker, which sold me on it with the passion fruit syrup. But I found it way too sweet and fake passion fruit tasting. Both were pretty strong though and I definitely felt it by the end of the night. The guys got beers - they have stuff on draft and in cans. I think they also serve food but I think the kitchen must've closed by the time we got there. After the initial slow service, we were checked on a few times and for the most part, left alone to just chat and drink Last call was just before midnight. And they actually let us stay after midnight, till after we finished our drinks.

Devann K.

Yelp
Service and ambiance was excellent. We tried a handful of items on the menu that were all great and were very pleased with how quick the food came out!

Christian J.

Yelp
McKenzie works very hard and is super duper attentive to her guests. If she's in you're in for a great stay! Ask her for her favorite cocktails! They're so delicious!

Molly A.

Yelp
I stopped into Granary Tavern after attempting to grab a bite from Quincy Market on Thursday night. Our party wanted a quiet place to sit and chat, as it had been awhile since we had seen each other. We were quickly seated near the bar. The restaurant itself was very well lit and decorated beautifully. The ambiance was a cozy feel, which was the perfect environment for what we were seeking. We sat down at a table for four and waited for our waitress. It took quite a bit of time, with our waitress walking past our table several times, before even acknowledging us. We stayed patient and the lack of acknowledgement continued. It took her about 15 minutes to even address us. We quickly put in drink orders as we were unsure of the wait time to receive those. I ordered a beer. Since we were sitting close to the bar, we saw our drinks get prepared and ready to be served. Again, it was very far in between our order and receiving our drinks. At one point, we even questioend whether we should just get up and get them ourselves. Normally, we wouldn't even bother. We received our drinks finally and put food in right away. Surprisingly, our food was delivered quickly. I ordered a warm lobster roll with truffle fries and it was fantastic. The warm butter on the lobster roll made it even more mouth watering. I sampled a friends cesear salad, too, which was just as good. While we had a somewhat rocky experience, the food was delicious and so was the ambiance.

Annie D.

Yelp
This place was super good and we got to sit outside which was fun! I ordered the chicken and waffles as my entree and it was really good and the fruit was a good touch. Probably one of the better chicken and waffles I've had. We shared a truffle Parmesan fry and those were really tasty too. The person I was with got fish and chips and said they were super tasty!

Jenn S.

Yelp
We have eaten here several times over the past 3-4 years, and every time, we've thoroughly enjoyed the food. I love the diverse menu options, and especially the kid's menu for my son. I have loved every dish I have gotten (most recently, the Chopped Salad - Romaine lettuce, cherry tomatoes, bacon, VT Cheddar, black beans, butternut squash, peppitas, house ranch dressing). It was DELICIOUS. I had trouble deciding what to get, and am SO glad I went with this. We sat outside most recently, and it was so pleasant. I love that they have outdoor seating - and love the new seating on the side with the greenery (wish we had sat there! Looks so quiet and intimate). Overall - one of our favorite family-friendly places in the city.

Yelp
In today's world where it seems customer service lacks with little interaction from service staff by way of scanning a QR code, what do you want to eat, here you go and now pay, and, if service is poor it is because we are short staffed, many places have lost their touch or level of service for which they were once known. Some may disagree, but I would almost prefer a place shut half of its restaurant, bar or hotel down to continue providing that high level of service rather than hurt or ruin their reputation. All that to say, it does not seem to be the case with Granary Tavern. The staff come across as a very professional and attentive team. To add to it, they are very welcoming and attentive. Customer service is very apparent. I did order all food at once thinking it would be well timed. The main entree came around the third spoon of the delightful Chowder. This allowed my main course to cool down before I was ready to eat. I am sure this is not normal. T and team quickly helped and made sure things were to my satisfaction. I was extremely satisfied with how they cared for me and ensured I had a great meal. Wow! Customer Service Wins Here!!!! Surely it may be wondered why an issue would make me rate this restaurant so high. All i can say again is I do not believe what happened is a normal occurrence, but it is the customer service that blew me away. Of course the food was very good too. Like so many Yelp! reviews, the Chowder is great, and it's a nice big cup as well. For someone seeking a small lunch/dinner, this could be the meal in itself. The Lobster Roll warmed in butter was delicious. As were the fries. The overall sounds and atmosphere are very fitting for this establishment. Tavern is in the name. If you need a quiet place to eat, this is not it, but don't get my review wrong. It isn't obnoxious or overwhelming. It is perfect for a nice casual meal. When sitting near the stairs, be prepared for more noise than usual. It sounds as though the kitchen is below, and the service staff who I am sure make the trek up and down more than they may wish have found quick ways to traverse each step. It can be a little noisy and rumbly. But it is the way the business is setup, and it ads to the atmosphere. Take a moment to check out Granary Tavern when downtown. Traveling a lot for work, they have a new loyal customer when I come to Boston. Thank you Granary Tavern!!!!!

Yelp
Visited Granary Tavern after bypassing the Black Rose on SPD 2023! Great food, awesome shots and best part was the incredible entertainment!

Yelp
We had exactly an hour before our aquarium tickets time entry slot, and popped into The Granary Tavern for a quality meal before hitting the tourist attractions. It was 1:00 p.m. on a busy Monday afternoon and we got the last table available. Our server was efficient if not super friendly. Drinks arrived right away and we had our food within 15 minutes. I had the shrimp tacos, which were amazing. Homemade thick corn tortillas plump well seasoned shrimp and an excellent crema topping. I loved this dish. Son had a cheeseburger with bacon and pronounced the fries to be exceptional. Drink refills and check were handled promptly and we were at the aquarium by 1:45. I am impressed that they can turn out this high quality food, this quickly, for a packed house. Great job!

Yelp
An awesome outdoor set up (both sides of the corner) and we loved that they completely open up the windows when the weather was in the 80s. Grabbed dinner here on a visit to Boston. The drinks were strong and the Guinness was great! The chicken and waffles were tasty as was the clam chowder. The Ahi poke bowl was meh on the quality of fish and tiny portion of fish! The service was quite slow. Overall a great location and the food was hit or miss but we had a great time!

Yelp
Fabulous watering hole and oasis for getting you back into the groove to continue on your adventures! Cold water and a Fiddlehead beer (recommended by locals and now by me:) to start the dining experience is a must for my revival!! The Fiddlehead was a perfect pair to go with the Thai Asian salad and Fish and chips. The last two items were five stars in themselves, so good, flavorful! The cod, lightly breaded and probably the best I've ever had, period - and I've caught my own rock cod in NW WA. The Thai S was so tasty and had so many flavors, it was just what we needed. Splitting the two dishes between the two of us was perfect! The waitress was so sweet and helpful as well. She must have seen how tired we were and let us rest and enjoy the coolness of the restaurant as long as we wanted.

Yelp
I've been to Granary Tavern many times since its opening. It's a excellent choice for meeting friends after work, or a casual night out. I've been here mostly for dinner and once for brunch. The food is consistently good. I tend to go for either the Granary Burger or the Fried Chicken sandwich. My wife usually gets one of their flatbreads or their Mac 'n Cheese. The service is not bad and the food usually comes out quick.

Yelp
Deliciousness filled food. This place is two floors and seems like it's super small but it has a lot packed into the space. We found it wheelchair friendly and easy to get in and out of. It's Boston, so parking is never fun but this was easy to get in and out of. Our waiter was fantastic and our lunch was scrumptious.

Yelp
We stopped in for a glass of wine - the location is great and the service was really good - I would go back.

Yelp
Was visiting Boston from out of town and came here for dinner. We ordered the lobster roll and the giant pretzel with the beer sauce and both were good, but the best part was dessert! Service was great and we really enjoyed our experience.

Yelp
We had an 8:30 reservation, after being seated we were told the kitchen closes at 9 so you have to order now. We were rushed through dinner. I ordered a drink off the menu and then told they wouldn't make it. Why accept our reservation for 7 people a half hour before the kitchen closes. We were so rushed to was beyond RUDE! The servings were small and some of the food was cold.

Yelp
We went in the morning for breakfast so it was very fast service. The food was pretty good, but it could have been better. My boyfriend ordered the french toast, which he thought was good and I had the Granery. Mine was okay but I would have liked my eggs to be a little more scrambled and my cheese to be melted IN my eggs and not just laying on top. This place was around the corner from the hotel I was staying at and so it was in a very convenient location. The bar area looked fully stocked so I would imagine this place is more popular at night.

Yelp
Staff was very friendly and we were promptly served beverages and food however there was a significant wait for both drinks and then the entrees then mains to arrive. This was disappointing given we were few in the restaurant. Nonetheless, when the food did arrive, I was most satisfied with my selections and enjoyed the beautiful flavors and textures of my pulled pork and lobster roll. The coffees were exceptional.
