"Grand Bo Ky is a younger sibling of Bayard Bo Ky, offering similar Teochew cuisine with a focus on the same unique blend of Cantonese, Fujianese, and Vietnamese dishes." - Robert Sietsema

Pictured is the Cambodian rice noodles(can't remember the exact name). It wasn't the best noodle bowl I've had but holy cow was the price good and the portion was good too. I spiced mine up with a few of the provided sauces they kept on the table. Would definitely go back. If you're wondering they do not carry beer or any other alcoholic beverage. The bathroom is small and smelled like curry farts which really puts me in the Chinatown spirit. Great place

Good food at very good prices! Atmosphere is lacking--bright lights and basic furniture. Service is also very basic. However, I think the food makes up for it. This is a casual place--come in clothed and you will be good! I got the flat noodles with jumbo shrimp (pictured)

Very nice family run place. You can see the great art work that adorns the walls that were drawn by the owners little girl all over the place. We were treated with a hardy "welcome and please feel at home" when being seated and our order taken in a timely fashion. The menu is rather in expensive with nothing much costing over $10.00. The ginger steak I had over rice was very filling and the Chicken Soup my friend had was filled with white meat chicken and plenty of noodles. We both left fill and happy in just under 45 min. Rated 'A" by NYC.

Wow, for a little place it was clean, service polite and food tasteful. I was just wandering around at dinner time and wandered in. We were seated quickly and I noticed the art work drawn on the walls. It's family owned and they really try hard to keep the service up. I had a bowl of chicken/udon soup for $5. It was full of chicken and filling. We also had a steak-like meat on rice/side of cabbage. It was plentiful with a ginger-like taste. Drop in for cheap good eats.

Massive portions for sooo cheap. I got the special beef noodle soup for $6 and out came a ginormous bowl of soup. Granted, it wasn't super flavorful, but I added lots of spices to it to make it flavorful but I ain't gonna complain when I pay only 6 for a quality, large bowl of beef soup. Highly recommend it!!

One of the oldest and famous food spots in Chinatown. A definite hit with the locals. You'll walk by and think nothing of this place but real Chinese knows this place and we like the food here. Brisket is awesome and duck is fantastic. Gotta try there pickled chilli on the table and roasted pepper hot oil.

Grand Bo Ky is the bigger, cleaner, sister of the Bo Ky on Bayard and Mott St. This is one of the best values in China Town, and my go-to stop for an excellent bowl of noodle soup. Even though it’s billed as a Vietnamese restaurant, I would steer clear of the pho, as it’s pretty bland, and not what they're best at. What you want is #10, or #11 (pictured on their menu so you don’t have to read Chinese or Viet). I rotate between the two, never being able to decide which my favorite is. The chicken curry soup with thin egg noodles (#10) tastes amazing, and if there weren't people there, would drink it straight from the bowl. The beef stew (#11) with flat noodles is amazing on a cold or rainy day. Both bowls pack a ton of flavor. Service is very fast at this location, it’s rarely more than a 5 minute wait to get your food, and most of their soup bowls are right around $5.

Excellent quiet atmosphere. I always go for the Seasoned Pork Hand Pork Chop Rice Beef Tripes Half Duck Fried Spring Rolls Choy Sum They have excellent service-almost as good as it gets in Chinatown. And yes the management is different than it is on Bayard St, though the quality of food is similar and seems cleaner. There are a few less options here but I really enjoy the food if I'm in the mood for Cheew Juw style, this is the place to go to.
