visited your café with my sister recently, and unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing.
When we approached the counter for my sister to order an iced coffee, the staff member taking her order did not greet us, did not smile, and maintained a stone-faced demeanor that was off-putting. After my sister placed her order, he didn’t say thank you or acknowledge her in any way.
While my sister went to the restroom, another staff member brought the coffee to the counter. He also set it down without saying a word, no smile, no hello—again with the same unwelcoming demeanor. I said “thank you,” and he mumbled “you’re welcome” while walking away.
We normally tip wherever we go, but the lack of professionalism, courtesy, and hospitality in this interaction made us feel uncomfortable and even profiled. The overall treatment was uninviting and left us with no desire to order anything further.
I truly hope management addresses this behavior, because customer service and first impressions matter. A simple smile, greeting, or thank you can completely change a guest’s experience.
