Llajaira Velazquez was the leasing agent we were assigned to work with. She didn’t follow up with us. When we tried contacting for an update she tried to just “sell” the apartment to us. Angie picked up the phone and was very helpful. She let us know we don’t have to sign right away and we could just look at every apartment we are interested in first and tour. We are so happy to work with her. She made the process feel calm and easy and it was a pleasure working with her. I hope she gets the best bonus ever. We love our new apartment!

Save your time and money and don’t move into this complex. I’ve been here three years and the amount of turnover we have all watched through the front office employees, managers, and maintenance is uncanny. You pay for all these amenities that never work. The front gates are always broken and open, allowing for homeless people to roam through the complex as well and dig through our trash in the dumpsters. The pool heater, hasn’t work since last year in September of 2024. It is now April of 2025. When asked why they can’t fix the heater, they told us it was costing too much money. They refuse to turn on the propane lines, so we can never use the firepits nor the grills to cook out. The package room is never working correctly so delivery people just leave your packages out in the open for anyone to take. They can’t even figure out how to put toilet paper or more soap in the restrooms in the front office. The hallways are disgusting, there is dog poop all over the courtyard because the front desk people refuse to provide our valet trash service with doggy bags so no one can pick up probably after their dogs. If you put in a maintenance request, goodluck. They also have a severe mold issue that they refuse to acknowledge. If you tell them, they accuse you of bringing mold with you to the apartment. Why would anyone in their right mind bring items or clothing with mold in them?And don’t even think of going into the office to ask for any help or answers, because you will have your head bitten off, if they are even there. Half the time the front office is left open with no one there. And when they do put up a sign that they are away from the front desk, they put a sign up that says please enjoy a snack or drink while you wait, well you turn around the the snack area is always empty. Their answer? Not in the budget. Save yourself a bunch and look somewhere else. Justin and Jonathon in the front office, could care less about the maintenance or well being of this community and the people that keep it running. (Provided pictures because they try and cover everything up!) This is an update, no one from this complex has addressed my review. Everything remains the same. April 2025. I will be out of here by the end of this month.

I just got off the phone with Justin, the property manager, and he wouldn't stop aggressively talking over me. Are you kidding me? He clearly doesn’t know how to listen. He didn't seem kind or patient. Not good! I used to live at Grand Central many years ago, and I’ve noticed that prices have dropped tremendously, even with their new concessions. The fact that their concessions are so significant should tell you a lot! Gables clearly has no idea what they’re doing with Grand Central, especially with Justin as the property manager. Laughing. If a person like Justin is managing this property, I wouldn't be surprised if you run into ongoing problems or misleading statements. Good luck.

This place is one of the most amazing places that has been recently built. I would definitely give it five stars because it has every amenity you could possibly imagine except for a hot tub. Or a sauna. Other than that the apartments are beautiful and there's a huge courtyard and they have a beautiful area for you to cook and grill and a beautiful big pool with cabanas and a full gym as well as different activities to play. I was very impressed with this apartment complex.

I have been living in this property for some time, and I am extremely disappointed with the management’s lack of responsiveness. It’s been over two weeks since I reported several maintenance issues — no light on the balcony, very low water pressure in the kitchen, the master bedroom A/C not cooling properly, and mold growing in the master bathroom bathtub. Despite multiple reports, no one has come to fix any of these problems. On top of that, the valet trash service has not picked up the bag in my bin for more than four days. It’s honestly unacceptable for a so-called “luxury property” to ignore basic maintenance and resident concerns while charging such high rent and constant increases. If tenants are expected to pay on time and follow all community rules, the property management should also fulfill its responsibilities with the same level of professionalism and urgency.

This is a beautiful property and Angie made it even better! She's at the front desk with a big smile and stood up to greet me and made me feel very welcomed. We had a great tour, and I love the location and with it being very close to work!

Justin made this experience amazing! From the time we walked through the lobby to the day we moved in. Everything was welcoming! He provided every single detail that we asked for and in black and white. Very attentive to everything we need. Maintenance always takes care of our needs in a timely manner. The apartment itself is amazing. Very spacious, makes you think if you need more things to cover up space lol. My wife and I are enjoying our time here. The community is quiet, gym is convenient, the pool and grills are perfect. Being on the 4th floor with an amazing view is a perk too! We have no complaints and would recommend these apartments! 🙏🏼

This is in response to the "owner" who says they would like to talk to everyone who writes a bad review yet never provides anywhere to contact them. If you call, they never answer, if you email, good luck! I am still waiting for a response from your property manager of how he is going to go about reimbursing us for things maintenance threw out because they came a day before we were scheduled for move out. He gave us a timeline to be out of our old apartment, and maintenance came the day before the scheduled date and threw away everything in my dryer, my dishwasher, my wagon, and dinner stools. Stay far away from this place. I'll keep updating this. I believe they removed my review from google. Today is Tuesday 3/11and I am still waiting on a call back from the property manager Justin, who was supposed to call me back Monday 3/10 to address these concerns.

When I moved here, I was over the moon. It was beautiful, Jamie, Alex, and Jennifer were amazing. Jennifer was a caring manager that came out and spoke to you and your pet if you have one. They kept the snacks and drinks filled, the fire pits worked and it was gated. over time and more management changes, the gates don't work, the fees increased, no snacks and drinks in the lobby, fit pits quit working, the pool isn't heated like it's listed in the amenities site, hallways are filthy and they will openly tell you that new management is working on paying the bills so things can't be ordered, and nothing is fixed. I looked at a lot of places before moving here bc they cared. The most recent rebranding was from Hawthorne to gables a few months ago. it's taken so long to get staff hired and the temp worker isn't very helpful. It's so sad because I LOVED it here. We are charged a lifestyle fee for events, and theres not been any. I feel like we should be refunded. It's disheartening.

Told my autistic son he could move in when apartment was inspected on Friday. Showed up Saturday, the next day, and was told he couldn't move in because they had no computer system. Movers were waiting to unload everything. Had to argue with office staff to get apartment and items moved in after many hours. No backup systems in place.

If you like being weeks without AC this is the place for you . If you like catching staff in a lie after the maintenance people confirm with you that the staff are lying about needing a part and that it hasn't even been looked at yet then this is the place for you. If you like being threatened with having the police called on you for confronting the staff with the lie then this is the place for you! Look anywhere else but here!!

Consumers be warned of "your problem not mine" tactics that give my customer service score for Hawthorne Residential Partners for property Grand Central Apartments a rating of 1 for poor service. The experience left me feeling like someone had put a wall in front of me and told me I am not allowed because someone in control told me I was not worthy, not good enough, not qualified due to some outdated construct. Such old traditionalist thinking is just that - old. My application was declined due to a RentGrow screening that pulled my credit report (I know because I got an Experian alert regarding it) and RentGrow sent me an email stating I had large write-offs and minor late payments. I called the management company number listed on appartments.com and explained my case, taking the chance of revealing my privacy, I explained that I negotiated debt payoffs with creditors through a debt consolidation program, hence the late pays and payoff settlements that were negotiated. I further explained that this was a onetime thing and that my monthly income is 5 times the monthly rent being requested which is also evident in the past month of paystubs that I uploaded on submitting the application. So I volunteered information and explained and was told by email from Grand Central Apartments that my application could not be accepted at this time and if I feel there is a discrepancy with the screening results then I need to call RentGrow since they handle the screening checks. My admin fee of $255 that I paid online is being refunded in check form by mail. Mind you calling Grand Central Apartments is hit or miss and when the application was declined then it was always miss. When all other apartments I have ever encountered would give options or set up talks with management to review and this property did no such thing is beyond me and it is so non-inclusive of customer service. Do they treat everyone this way or just me? I'm also moving in from out of state so is it that? So many questions as to why I felt that diversity/equality/inclusion was not present in my dealings with Grand Central Apartments. So the next day I called a different and brand new apartment complex with availability in Cape Coral, FL and my call was answered by a live person with customer oriented conversation and I explained and on submitting my application I was approved that same day and given a unit number for reserving and an online portal to make the payments. Was it that difficult? What has happened to property management companies that such simple skills in critical thinking have been lost? Please stop the oppressive social constructs that hold people back from progress.

I admit- moving to a new home after leaving my current situation was scary to me at first, I hadn't lived alone in years and had been a home owner for ever. Courtney made me feel welcome right away and didn't mind answering the millions of questions I had buzzing around my head. The apartment I picked is amazing, brand new and has a nice look at the city from my patio and im close to work. Thank you for making this transition easy for me.
